Would give 10 stars if I could, I accidentally left my bag at my table when I left, like a fool, and one of the servers CHASED ME TO MY CAR TO RETURN IT TO ME AND I AM SO GRATEFUL WHOEVER THAT WAS, THANK YOU! Also the food was delicious and the place smelled amazing and had a cozy atmosphere, so 10/10 experience overall.
Had a great meal - shrimp salad, fried squid, fried eggrolls, pork strips over rice. Everything was delicious. Cilantro and fish sauce really good. Beer choices good. Hot tea. Prices very fair. Servers super gracious. Will definitely be back.
It's been many years since I last ate here, and I saw a few concerning reviews, so I had to come back and check things out. After eating here, I have zero clue what those reviews were talking about! The Chicken Pho was absolutely delicious. Pho so good, you'll walk half an hour in snowy weather just to get a mouthful!
I use to go to Sea a lot but since I don’t work in the area anymore I haven’t been. We decided to stop in for lunch and so happy we did. Jenny is so nice and knowledgeable. She is the best! And the food was great as well! We ordered the beef pho, a rice dish with pork chops and a noodle dish.
First time eating at Sea Restaurant. Was a pleasant experience. Food was excellent. The atmosphere is quaint, the only thing was that the server only checked on us one time. She was very pleasant to deal with, very friendly, but I feel she should have checked on the table at least two or three more times. But definitely would love having her service us again. I ordered the Manasaun Pork Curry, which was very good. My friend ordered the sweet Vermicelli Bowl. She enjoyed it. And the portions were more than what was expected. Also ordered 2 egg rolls. Very good. Definitely will find a reason to go back.
Fantastic place for some fresh and delicious Thai! Bubble tea - fantastic. Egg rolls - very unusual but liked them! Fried rice - super delicious. The star of the show - crispy fried noodles with beef. WOW, such crispy noodles that absorbed the sauce at the bottom when you were ready for it and became even more amazing. The SAUCE, a very thin broth, had a very rich flavor. Great mix of fresh sautéed veggies and the beef was delicious as well. Would happily return!
Hello to all my foodies and followers I decided to spice it up a bit and try something new and wasn't disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious. Customer service was great. I will definitely come back. A homeless man came in and ask for some food and 1 of the hostess gave him some food that was very kind of you and I appreciate your service.
Their Pho soup is to die for! For those that have never had a Pho soup. It's literally a meal in and of itself! The flavor explosion in your mouth is an understatement, as a true Pho has a complexity of different flavors that you can individually taste. They most definitely know how to make a Pho which is rather complex to make perfectly. Outstanding!
The chicken Kapoon is delicious! Waitress seemed in a huge rush when not very many people were in the restaurant and got my order wrong. The other waitress seemed upset with me that I don't eat beef. But they were able to fix it in a hurry and the food was outstanding. I definitely recommend the food and their 'smoothies' are some of the best. Don't expect great customer service but the food is worth it
The place is nice and the food is okay. Inside is clean and staff are friendly. The green curry was just a watery broth and not very good, but it had a big portion. I was expecting a thicker, creamy curry like at other places so was pretty surprised at the soupy broth. The spring rolls were pretty bland, and just so so (only shrimp, noodles, and lettuce - no mint or cucumber or any other greens). The pho was pretty okay, probably the better of the dishes we tried.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times. I love their seafood Pho with extra vegetables. The broth was very tasty as always. Their staff are super friendly and accommodating. There’s only one bathroom in the entire restaurant and it’s not that attractive. If you can overlook the bathroom, then you would definitely enjoy your food experience with them.
As a Vietnamese-American, I can say their pho is not good. When it comes to pho, broth is KEY. The broth here had a weird, unclean taste. It just wasn’t good. I think it might be because of the meat. The meat wasn’t 100% clean, and by that I mean - after it cooked in the water, there was still remnants of dirty foam (if that makes any sense lol) still floating in the broth. It’s to be expected and normal when you’re cooking meat like that, but it then needs to be scooped out of the broth to be clear and “clean” tasting. I cook pho at home often and have to do that a lot. I’d give the pho a 2.5/5. Saigon Pho on Lyell is better. The garnish dish is very disappointing compared to your typical Vietnamese restaurant serving pho. One stem of basil leaves? It was hardly anything. Basil is a very important garnish with pho, and they cheaped out. Also, one tiny lime isn’t enough, and there was one minuscule cup for the dipping sauces (hoisin and sriracha). Also, where are the jalapeños? The restaurant has Vietnamese items on the menu, which is great and I love that, but the sandwich is not correctly spelled. A for effort and including that item, but please spell it correctly. It’s “banh mi”, not “bahn” I like the service and vibe here; the ladies were attentive and incredibly friendly. The place is decent, I just wish the pho was better. I couldn’t even eat half of the bowl. I was craving pho today, too, but after several bites of the mediocre broth, I had to throw in the towel. The price of the pho was definitely fair.
Food was good. Clean place, private bathroom that's clean, cold A/C, friendly staff. Reasons I didn't give 4 or 5 stars is the brisket soup I ordered had no brisket... The meat tasted like roast beef and was thin, like roast beef that comes pre-sliced in a package. Would of rather they said they were out of that soup than give me a meat I didn't order. But will try there again. Noodles were good and broth was flavorful! Calamari was mostly breading and a bit chewy, with no tentacles. I put them in the "brisket" soup to soften it up and was a good combo. I would give it 3.5 stars but will go back and try other food.
I had high hopes and really wanted to love this place after reading the reviews, but the pho was really disappointing. We ordered the papaya salad which was great - they got the heat right. It was generous and choke full of flavor. We also had the pork fresh spring rolls (forgot to take a photo of those). The pork could have used more flavor. Thankfully, the peanut sauce which comes with them was delicious. For some reason, they brought the spring rolls without a sauce and we needed to ask for some. Very strange as it's listed on the menu... We found the beef special pho lacking in flavor. Right from the base, it felt like the noodles needed more flavor so they could add depth to the dish. It wasn't salted properly and there was no heat either. We tried adding a bit of Sriracha to "build" the flavor profile but even that couldn't save it. Service initially came off quick because the restaurant wasn't busy, but then we realized that it was a little disorganized. 3 different people came to take our order, not once to refill our water, or see if we wanted to share the massive soup with a spare spoon. But they did manage to bring the bill while I was still eating my entree... At 6 PM.. on a Friday.
