This is an incredibly needed deli! You aren’t contributing to animal cruelty here! There are a couple design additions that would help customer flow. Pricing would do well on the name tags in the case like most delis instead of or in addition to being on the wall. Also the front counter looks a bit frumpy. Sandwich took a little time to make for being the only customer in line, but all good things take time, the food was incredible!!!

I've only been here a few times since I don't live in the state, but I always get something when I'm in town. I usually get the Pesto, and it's so amazing, but I could eat here every day!

I’ve been vegan for over 14 years, I had a lot of sandwiches at awesome vegan spots and the pastrami sandwich at Grass Fed lands near the top of my list! So awesome that Rochester has this local business, a must stop.

What's goodie Society TheMadScientist on the check in wit ANOTHER SLAM'N VEGAN SPOT. Was on an adventure to delivery some solar material to UPSTATE NY and was in CRAVE MODE for some GOOD EATS. Especially for the journey TMS took to get to this area (FYI a nice 5hrs trip to get there). SO YOU KNOW THE STOMACH WAS ON EMPTY when he arrives. Grass Fed is TRENDY yet HUMBLE VEGAN restaurant. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and KNOWLEDGEABLE of the menu and just random things about veganism as a whole. MEAN'N they will not steer you wrong when it comes to your order. So...as YOU can see Society TheMadScientist TREAT'D himself to SOME TOP TIER EATS, now the PASTRAMI, MYSELF and I with the Mac Salad was the meal that was consumed before head'n back to BIG JERSEY and I would give the sandwich a 3.5/5. It was a bit better than good IMO (a suggestion to make it a BANGer melt the cheese a bit, especially of it is supposed to be a hot sandwich) their take on PASTRAMI isn't bad it's flavourful and a delight. It's just miss'n that certain JE NE SAIS QUOI yet Grass Fed is on the right track to have'n the BEST VEGAN PASTRAMI on the east coast (just a few tinkers and it will be there). NOW THAT Mac Salad that is an INSTANT COP IF you like MACARONI SALAD not bland very fill'n and GOOD FROM BEGIN'N to END. Okay so the BACK to the USS REUBEN was DEMOLISH'D the next day (as you can see it had curly fries wit it and YEAH TMS threw it in the oven for about 7+ mins on 350⁰) and Don't Know if that made it different yet THAT REUBEN was ONE of the BEST REUBEN TheMadScientist has had since HE WENT VEGAN (2017). Like instant replay good if Reubens are your book Grass Fed has that sandwich on LOCK (GET YOU ONE). When TheMadScientist is ever in the Rochester area, HE WILL ALWAYS pull up on GRASS FED. They are great people with great eats and YEAH HE STILL WANTS THAT PIZZA too. Try'n to see the Science. You know the Science Stay LYT Society Bah BAH BIG L.Y.T

On a brief trip to Rochester NY it was a treat to meet paths with this... wait for it... vegan butcher. I'd heard of the concept but never been to one. Buy it by the vegan pound and have an amazing sandwich while there. Tried three sandwiches and all were stellar. Thanks for existing and thanks for the great meal!

I was driving down Monroe to head to Costco and I seen grass fed vegan butcher. I was immediately intrigued! So I stopped in the staff was informative and welcoming. The space is laid back, cleanly and has great natural lighting. I haven’t gotten my vegan sub yet, but I tested the roast beef and it was delicious! I also tasted the walnut chocolate chip cookie 😍 Top tier. Now I know where to stock up when my cycle comes on and I don’t want to eat digusting dairy cookies. Anywho I love it here I intend to revisit often.

Best sandwich I can ever remember eating and I have a good memory. The Salami was so delicious it brought me back within two days to enjoy it again. Happy service both times from people you can tell love creating these amazing sandwiches. Thank you! I will be back again and again and again!

If you are looking for a healthier lunch option without sacrificing for flavor, Grass Fed is a deli that specializes in plant based and vegan options. I have tried the pastrami sandwich, the Reuben, and their house made pepperoni. All of the offerings are excellent, there are a few tables scattered around in a cute grab'n'go kind of way. We were served at the table after we ordered at the counter, the service was excellent with the knowledge of the shop, and the food delicious. I ended up preferring the Reuben sandwich over the pastrami. The guy behind the counter gave me a container of their pepperoni, to try at the pizza shop I work at. I made a vegan cheese pizza with pepperoni, and it is the best pepperoni I have found that is plant based.

I'm not a vegetarian / vegan, but I loved the We Don't Talk About Pesto hot sandwich! I ordered it delivered, and it arrived promptly and still toasty. I was impressed! Everything about the sandwich was fantastic. It felt cozy and comforting. The flavors all went so well together from the vegan turkey, the mild vegan mozzarella cheese, the tender greens, and bright red pepper. The pesto really rocked my world, though. It reminded me of the homemade pesto my mom used to make using basil grown in the backyard. The cucumber salad was also light, crisp, and not overly seasoned. Excited to order again someday!

Really delicious 100% vegan meats and sandwiches. I enjoyed the "vegan deli" concept quite a bit. Extremely friendly staff when I visited. Wish it was open on weekends!

BEST. VEGAN. MEAT. I live over an hour away but each time I make the pilgrimage to get my all time favorite sammy (Wake Me Up Before You Monte Cristo) I am always so incredibly happy with my experience. I'm so glad I tried this place. It's very small inside but the food is really good. The staff is also super nice and friendly. I got the "turkey" pesto sandwich, and got a block of buffalo "chicken" Mac and cheese to go. I wouldnt hesitate to get either of them again, and I'm excited to try their other food. I'm a vegetarian and I didn't know what a "vegan butcher" was going to be. And now that I've tried it, I think this is going to be a regular haunt for me

Awesome! I have the turkey BLT and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, vegan or otherwise. Keep on doing what you're doing!

I have been a Grass Fed customer for years and recently reached out to them about catering for a small event. They were very easy to work with and provided delicious sandwiches, cucumber salad, and cookies for our vegan attendees for a fair price. I highly recommend not only the restaurant, but consider Grass Fed for events as well!

I haven't try enough for a 5* but the bacon sample was delicious and this cookie I bought, vegan or not, its a damn good cookie.
