This was my first time at this restaurant, treating myself to Thai foods for my birthday on 3/13 for dinner. The service was great and the foods were delicious and amazing. I ordered crying tiger, tom yum soup with shrimp and drunken noodles with shrimp.
Yummy food in such a breezy, clean place! We had veggie rolls as an appetizer, and they were perfection! 4 entress plus a glass of wine.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Rochester! The service is extremely friendly and the food is outstanding. The atmosphere is beautifully simple in a way that is peaceful and allows you to truly focus on your dinner and the people around you. It is easy to become a regular here! I try something new every time and have never had a bad meal. It becomes difficult what to choose when I go because everything is so delicious. Highly recommend the fried rice, chicken dumplings, curry triangles, Tom Yum Soup, and Thai tea!
The fried rice is delicious (I prefer chicken or shrimp). The pad see ew is amazing, too. Love the fried calamari & the dumplings as well. I eat dinner or lunch weekly here because it’s delicious, the attention is great and the portions are very generous. I ordered take out a couple of times and the food was ready right away, just like when you go in person! I only wished they were open even later for dinner!
Beautiful place! Everything is light and spacious. The food was delicious.
Tasty Thai food with fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere inside and their takeout is also smooth and efficient. My only issue is the spice level is never consistent between medium and spicy - I think it just depends on who is cooking that day.
Delicious green curry and tom kha gai soup. Fresh ingredients and perfect seasoning. Also, they made the food gluten free. Staff super friendly. Today I ordered take out and went to wait in my car and the server brought it out to me. Very thoughtful. I visit Rochester regularly so I will be back!
Delicious! Wonderful menu with so many options! I tried the pineapple curry and it was fantastic. I ordered it with a medium spice and it was just the right amount. I had to order gluten free and they were knowledgeable about their menu (which is always a huge plus!) The space is light and airy, and very clean. That was friendly and the service was fast. I went on a Saturday at 1pm and they were not too crowded. The hours posted online are helpful since they close between lunch and dinner. I highly recommend Seasoning Thai Bistro! I am excited to go back and try some more dishes!
Restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The food is simply outstanding. I ordered the Hot Jungle Beef (medium spicy) with a Thai Iced Coffee. The coffee was very good, but I can say with absolute certainty that the Hot Jungle Beef was one of the best dishes I've ever had dining out. Simply amazing. The seasoning, the flavor, the ingredients, everything about this dish perfectly enhanced one another. Do yourself a favor and try Seasoning Thai Bistro.
Excellent food! Great ambiance. It’s probably THE BEST pineapple fried rice I have ever had in my life. Everything else we ordered was amazing too 👍
We got takeout. Our food was taking slightly longer than we expected (only 5-10 minutes, and we really didn’t mind!) so they insisted on giving me a thai tea on the house! The food was excellent and the portions were very large. Definitely coming here again for the great food and excellent customer service!
Wow! Really great Roasted Duck Fried Rice. We also ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Everyone raved about their meals. Wine was also good but a little pricey (per glass). Service was great. Only complaint is that on a cold day (sub freezing), it can be a little cool in the dining area. Noticed several tables with people wearing coats while eating. Would definitely go back to try more of their dishes.
Best Thai food I've had in a very long time, might be the best I've had outside of Thailand. We had the vegetable spring rolls which were hot, crispy and tasty, the side sauce was sweet and Tangy (maybe a little too sweet) but nice. My wife had the Green curry (hot) which was delicious and I had the Hot beef dish off the special menu. The vegetables were fresh and cooked al dente, the sauce was amazing and the heat was just right.
Stopped after my grand daughters softball game and this was some of the best thai food I have eaten. Nice, clean place with great food, generous portions and great service as well. My girlfriend thought the same as I did as we both had the shrimp curry.
We had excellent meal with superb customer service highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Thai food
One of my favorite places to eat in Rochester (for both takeout and dine-in)! The main dishes have generous portion sizes, and I honestly haven't had anything here that I haven't enjoyed. The spice levels you order with actually make a difference, so be careful before ordering spicy.
We REALLY like this place. Food is fast and delicious, and when we're on the Monroe Ave. part of town, we love partaking in their food. 👏😋
You will appreciate how authentic & fresh is all of their appetizers and lunch or dinners. The kitchen staff is from Thailand and this is gourmet Thai food with reasonable prices. Hope you try it soon!
This restaurant offers a clean, fresh, and very welcoming environment. The food portions are generous, and every dish is well prepared and flavorful.
Super cute/ trendy vibe inside, very open space with lots of natural light. We ordered from their lunch specials and the Pad Thai and Green Curry were amazing! Great presentation and flavor. Service was quick and great about refilling waters. Can't wait to go again!
Tom yum chicken soup is a must! The right amount of heat chicken and mushrooms. The entree lunch dish I ordered was fried brown rice with chicken. Delicious as well as a nice bowl to carry home. And last but least I recommend the thia ice tea. Refreshing green tea served over ice with a splash of lime juice and vanilla syrup. The server was friendly and checked up on us throughout our visit. Cleanliness was 5 star and handicap exscessable. Chairs were comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Tables booths available as well as private parking off the street. Thank you Seasoning of thia bistro hope to be back soon for another visit
Seasoning Thai Bistro is fast becoming our favorite Thai restaurant in town. Amazing food (very fresh, tasty with proper portions) with great flexibility with respect to special requests (eg, spiciness)! You'll love it!!
Lots of natural light, the waitress was attentive, and the food was served quickly. We started with the veggie wraps and dumplings. The dumplings were among the best I’ve ever had, fried to perfection. We had pad Thai and curry noodles. We both left with a healthy supply of leftovers. Looking forward to going back.
A bright, open interior serves as the perfect backdrop for the colorful dishes this restaurant has to offer. Both the presentation and flavor of the food was delightful, and the service was excellent. If you want a relaxed and elegant dining experience, this is the place. 2025 Update: Thank you for not raising your prices!
Went with friends from church. They did an amazing job remodeling. All white, minimalist decor with great lightning. The food was generous and delicious. I got Paid Thai Noodles with Shrimp. Another got Pad Thai Noodles with White Fish. one got stir fried rice with chicken and one got stir fried rice with Shrimp. Each came with 2 crispy chicken dumplings and we all shared fried veggie spring rolls. All so yummy.
Had dinner here, party of 12. Only snapped pictures of my entree along with my husband’s and daughter’s. Pad Thai with chicken/shrimp, Red Curry w/ white rice and Thai fried rice w/ chicken. We also had the fried calamari and shrimp appetizers. Everything was delicious 🤤 even for our other guests. Food came out quickly, was flavorful and generous portions. Very good customer service and the ambiance was nice.
Delicious! I was never a fan of calamari or squid in general because it was always rubbery. I decided to give it another try and it was cooked so perfectly here! I loved it. The tom yum soup was amazing. I also enjoyed the stir fried eggplant which tasted just as good as leftovers which is surprising. Can't wait to go back!
Warm, welcoming and relaxed dining environment. Best pork Pad Thai we have tasted! The Thai iced tea with milk was refreshing. Highly recommend the crab cheese puff (truly can’t get enough!) and calamari for appetizer (very flavourful breading with pepper). For soup, Tom Kha Gai complements the appetizer. Filled with chicken and mushrooms has a perfect balance of coconut and lime blend. Also recommend the pad see ew and chicken and pork lemongrass with the dipping sauce was very tasty! For dessert, the sticky rice with mango and coconut syrup was perfect to end the meal! Order time to placing the food on the table was quick! Did not wait long. Highly recommend this place! Perfect for a date or family dinner!
The food was absolutely delicious! Fresh and well served plates. They are generous with portions and leave a party of two satisfied and feeling healthy. If you do not like spice, make sure to double check with the server regarding each dish. Remember, this is a Thai restaurant, so the thai spice is expected. The staff is friendly and attentive, food is served at a normal pace for an expected fresh dish, and the restaurant environment is calming and cool! A+!
First time at Seasoning Thai on Elmwood, but definitely not the last! We were met at the door by a friendly greeter and shown our seats. The dining room was cheerful and bright. Our water glasses looked like they were just taken from the dishwasher spotlessly clean! The meals for my wife and I were delicious and plentiful. Best Thai restaurant in Monroe County! Go there!
We enjoyed our dinner at Seasoning Thai Bistro, but even more we appreciated their excellent customer service. We had ordered for delivery, and were notified that Uber would be delivering our order. Well, the driver delivered it somewhere, but not at our house. I tried to contact the driver via phone and text, but received no answer. So, we drove over to the restaurant, explained the problem, and they made our dinners again, took off all of the delivery charges and the tip for the driver, and we enjoyed our dinners at the restaurant. This is excellent customer service. We will be back again, for sure. (Our server got the tip!)
--- 2025/07/16 --- We were in ROC today and luckily close-by... so we stopped in for a late lunch. The fresh spring rolls were awesome. The Mrs got the fried tofu pad thai lunch and I got the garlic chicken lunch... both were great. Just a super That joint! 😋 --- ORIGINAL REVIEW --- I was really wanting Thai food for dinner last night and the Mrs was willing to humor me. I found STB via Google Maps... so we made the trip from Avon. Upscale bistro vibes... got seated promptly. Our server was prompt and professional. All of the staff were dressed in similar colors. For apps we got the fresh chicken spring rolls and crab rangoons plus the spicy fruit salad... which was weird, but BONKERS good! 😋 The Mrs got the tofu pad Thai, but got white fish instead, which turned into a happy accident as she really enjoyed the white fish. I got the Crispy Chicken Ga Prow (medium), which was DELICIOUS! 🤤 I've never been so happy to pay $19 for a chicken cutlets entree. With taxes and tip, we ended just shy $85 and quite happy. Definitely recommend and we will be back! 😍
Excellent food. We had the crab friend rice, curry puffs and mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious. Their cocktails are very good too. Dining ambiance is kind of the feel of a contemporary open food court but more comfortable, so it's a different experience and a nice change for the area. If I were to compare this with Saks (of course subjective), it seems like a little more modern spin on the preparation but just as good. One thing we were hoping to see were the larger, more flaky style curry puffs but this preparation was still very tasty, just in a different style. Would recommend this to anyone!
Dinner on 6/7/24 was outstanding. We ordered duck fried rice, lemongrass tofu and tom kha gai soup. The portions make it worth the price paid. The spice level for items marked with just one 🌶 is pretty high. I love it, but it surprised me. The duck was nice and crispy and the Thai iced tea refreshing. Service was fast and friendly.
I’m a Thai food lover and this is among the best Thai food I have ever had in the U.S. It’s a gem with great food, wonderful service, and a cool vibe. I have now eaten here twice and it’s been outstanding both times. Above all, the food was so fresh. The portions are very generous, especially dishes with chicken and shrimp. We started with vegetable spring rolls which were heavenly, especially with the sweet peanut sauce. I had the drunken noodles which were amazing (see photo). The noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor was incredible. My wife loved the pad Thai and my daughter loved the curry noodles. The drinks (see photo) were also a highlight, not something I usually encounter at Thai restaurants.
Delicious! We came at lunch and were one of the only groups in the restaurant. The setting is great with lots of white walls, good lighting, and an overall peaceful ambiance. The thai iced tea and coffee were both phenomenal - the best I’ve ever had. The lunch specials had generous portions and our food came quickly. Great service from the waitresses as well. Highly recommend the crab rangoon!
I got garlic stir fry it was so salty and my wife got curry. She loved her meal. The server never came over to check on us and needed a refill. Prices are good it's noisy there because of high ceilings and no decor.
Service is 10/10. Both the women were absolutely amazing. Very friendly, kind and considerate. They treated my kids with respect and were very patient with us. The pork marinade was very flavorful although the sauce, though very good, was not what I expected. The crispy chicken was very flavorful and fresh. However it is something you would want to have dine in only. (The breading falls off on the to go.) The curry was good, but a little on the pricey side for the portion we received. The papaya salad was a little disappointing as it lacked flavor, but it was very fresh! Drinks were great, and the interior felt comfortable and minimalistic.
We ordered food for takeout at about 8:15 p.m. on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy. That's possibly why two of our entrees had mistakes. We ordered two chicken pad thais at different spice levels but one came with shrimp. We also ordered another entree that mistakenly was made with tofu. Also, the Tom yum soup was sweet instead of tart.
Absolutely lovedddd this place — the concept, aesthetic, and food. So clean and beautiful on the inside. Unfortunately they didn’t have the mango sticky rice dessert when we came, but that’s something to look out for. The star off though is because, even she was at the hostess stand, a worker was clipping her nails — we found that kinda gross.
I dont really know how to rate this place and usually I walk out of a restaurant with the words already in my mind. The service was great until one young lady came to our table while we were still eating and starting piling up dishes for four people- full meals, soup and appetizer plates in front of my guest to carry it all at once. And we did feel rushed a bit. The food service was excellent though and then I have trouble describing. Four vegans had no trouble eating; however, the menu does not tell which is vegan/ vegetarian or which has fish sauce in it. The dishes were smoke in size and cooked to the right texture but there was not enough spice in the sauces. The green sauce did not taste like lemongrass, my favorite and the peanut sauce for other dishes were a bit watery. Medium spice needed added heat by the way. The Tom Yum soup was sweet, first time ever like that for me basically the food had no depth to the flavor. I have been to many Thai restaurants but admit to never having been to Thailand so I profess no real experience. All in all, I will return because the other well known Thai place is just plain bad. The space itself was tasteless but who cares. It was clean but a bit loud with lots of windows, concrete floor and industrial ceiling.
Tried Seasoning Thai Bistro for lunch. The space is nicely decorated, filled with immense amount of light coming from the windows and white decor. The energy of staff is very welcoming and friendly. The pad see ew/ drunken noodles was good. The spring rolls were surprisingly stuffed with fresh ingredients. Typically places skimp out on filling, but they did not. The tom yum was on the lighter side for flavoring and wasn’t special.
Omg, I took so many photos but not my two noodles! I only took a picture of my leftovers. It was a lovely dinner. My mom ordered a lot of appetitizers and I got two entrees. I enjoyed the curry pastries (reminded me of flattened samosas), Thai fish cakes, and the basically steak they called Crying Tiger. I ordered Drunken noodles and Pad See Ew because I couldn't remember which one I liked, and I've concluded it is pad see ew, and I don't like drunken noodles at all. Haven't gone wrong with mango and sticky rice, though this coconut sauce was too sweet, but still good. I wouldn't have ordered the egg rolls and cheese pastries but my mom did, so trying them, they're disappointing. They're not bad, but as a Vietnamese, we have such good egg rolls at home that I didn't need to try these. The cheese pastries reminded me of crab rangoons and I don't care for that so not its fault. Overall, a pretty restaurant and if I remember her name right, our waitress, Felicia(?) was super nice!
We have gone here about 3 times. Each time it took way too long for a server to finally come over and acknowledge us, but it’s not such a huge deal. The food is VERY good. What is tough to get beyond is the atmosphere and cold gray cement floor. It is just such a stark place in general with zero ambiance. Plastic outdoor type chairs and even the temperature inside is freezing, every time! Even my feet were cold. But the food is truly delicious. We just go for a casual lunch and DRESS WARM.
Had dinner on the way to a show. The portions and the food were excellent. The construction of the restaurant makes it loud so it wouldn't be for an intimate dinner but it's great. They were slammed so service was a little slow but I would rather see a successful restaurant than to get my food quickly in an empty place during the rush
Overall decent place in an extremely convenient location. All of the ingredients are extremely fresh, the shrimp are delicious, the tum yum soup had a nice flavor the grape tomatoes are a good choice- they provide random bursts of flavor as you enjoy the soup. The tom kha gai (coconut soup) was delicious- the coconut flavor was not at all overpowering and the slight sour flavor helped balanced the entire dish. The pineapple rice was well balanced and was a generous portion. The spring rolls are very fresh. The servers are very friendly and genuinely kind. Restaurant is clean and calm.
Relaxing place for dinner! Love the Thai ice tea drink. We had tom yum soup and fried squid for app..... Soup was fantastic and yummy but the squid tasted like they frozen package (not recommend ) Curry shrimp and stired fry hot basil chicken dishes were on little bit on the sweet side! Servers are super nice! Can't complain more.....
Overall, meh. It's good not bad but not the best. Fancy looking place with fancy price, and I was expecting a high dine quality food but sadly it wasn't up to the standard I expected. Just a regular good quality. Nothing unique in terms of the food. But the place looks pretty nice and fancy. I wish the food was fancy quality as well but they are just a regular good old quality food. I can find the same quality of food or better elsewhere.
I will start out by saying that they have the best Pad Thai that I have ever had. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the portions were generous. The service, however is lacking. We arrived and the server took our drink order and food order at the same time ( to be efficient, I thought) and then proceeded to bring my drink quickly while my wife had to wait for hers. She had to wait so long that I had to flag down a busboy and ask where her drink was. That did the trick but when the food arrived, my wife got her order in a timely manner but this time I had to wait. And wait. And then wait some more. How hard is it to bring two plates of food out simultaneously? The food was exceptional on both accounts so we will be back. I know that everybody has a bad day once in a while, but acknowledging your mistake and making it clear to the customer that it won't happen again is just good business.
I went to this restaurant with my son and a friend after a stressful day at work. We really needed a relaxing dinner. Our server was very good and the food was excellent. As we were settling up (one of the last tables to leave but before closing) an incident occurred. In the dining room without regard to customers, a different staff person (not our server, maybe another server or manager?) started loudly berating the bartender. The bartender was trying to calm down his coworker, he encouraged her to talk privately in the kitchen. The angry staff person was escalating, yelling at bartender and it was incredibly uncomfortable, upsetting and unprofessional. I had to ask my son and his friend to leave and wait in the car while i waited to get my card back. I felt sorry for the other staff. I hope this is a one time thing but it was so bad I likely wont go back there.
I was introduced by an American friend and fell in love with the food at the Webster location. Being Thai it’s rare for me to frequent Thai restaurants mostly because I cook it myself lol. And mostly because it disappoints because the cooking deviates so much from the traditional taste. I followed them to Brighton as it was closer to my house. First time dining there I could tell that what I ordered was made from the same recipe/cooks. I ordered drunken noodles last month. It wasn’t what I fell in love with. I just got some tonight for my birthday…same recipe as last month’s …too sweet…and drenched in oil and not the one I originally fell in love with. It was drenched in oil and nearly impossible to eat. The noodles are much darker suggesting that too much sweet black soy sauce is being used; portion since a few years back is smaller. We ordered pork fried rice. Pork was not sliced. It was in chunks. Meat is always sliced or diced in traditional thai cooking when it’s stir-fried. Fried rice was too sweet. Spent $100 and I think this is my last time. It’s not what got me to love the food from a few years back.
Well. I've enjoyed this place before. This night was not good. It's a beautiful place visually. I asked if there was a soup without coconut. There was not. Most soups are pints (¿$8 which i consider generous), but 2 choices were $28. The bartender assured me they were larger than a quart. We were looking at a pint and I really tried to be sure that it wasn't going to be a quart in size (aka, 2 pints - double that size we were looking at)... It was a quart. There was no coconut in it! A clear broth. A clear broth that tasted like salt water with a hot pepper in it. Terrifically unpleasant. The choices were seafood or pork ribs. The ribs were okay. I had asked how it's eaten. The answer was 'with rice on the side.' I wrongly assumed it would come with rice. I made rice. I saw someone's fresh spring rolls. I saw so much lettuce... I also saw beef on salad or skewers well, those I might try - that looked great. The single bowl of soup also looked great. I might visit again, but I'd have to order carefully. Really disappointed. Great location. Someone must try to have them take a good look. A good taste...
I felt like it was time I left a review. I have ordered take out and ate in this restaurant well over 10xs. I always get the lunch size Hot Basil with white rice/meat option. The flavoring is always amazing why I keep coming back. Unfortunately I will not be able to keep coming back and justifing $17 for my lunch that should be $12 for the size it has become. Today I got 5 shrimp only and a small handful of veggies. I am disappointed that they are shorting the meals now. I remember getting enough that I would not be able to finish the whole meal sometimes. Do not get me wrong if you are ok with spending a large amount of money for lunch this is the best Thai food.
My Tom Yum and curry taste like sweet without other flavors. Bad service. I drank all my water and the waiter didn’t fill in once. I had to ask multiple times so that waiter can come to take the dirty plates off. We found a hair in the drink and that waiter’s first reaction was saying “That comes from you”. Very rude and the no refund for the drink.
We ordered three dishes. Shrimp Tom yum soup, shrimp pad Thai and beef massaman curry. As an Asian who has tried Thai restaurants in many different places, I have to disappointedly say this is probably the least flavorful and the most expensive. The dishes (except for the soup) is way too sweet. It taste like they probably poured half bottle of honey into it. There was no line to create a sour balanced taste to it. We are not coming back.
I usually don't write bad reviews because I thought my experience here was going to be good, but it turned out bad pretty quickly. Don't get me wrong the ambiance was quiet and intimate. The service was good as well. Our server kept checking in on us and made sure we were noticed. However, we got the appetizer, fresh rolls which was really good with the side dipping sauce, which was very tasty and refreshing. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and my boyfriend ordered the Pad Thai. It tasted really good at first then we took the rest home because we were full. When we got home, our stomachs began to hurt, but we thought it was because we ate too much..... the next morning, I was barfing and on the toilet. We looked at our food and there was a dead fly in there.... gross. Knowing this was our first time going here, I don't think we'd be going back anytime soon. Before deciding to go here, please read their Health Score and read what was discovered. I didn't notice until I took a deeper dive into how we got sick. Maybe it was just a bad dish, maybe they were slammed in the kitchen, idk. But I hope no one else gets food poisoning.
Ambience is too bright and loud, it reminded us of a school cafeteria. Food was way too spicy even though I ordered a dish and requested no spice. Service took a very long time, almost 20 minutes waiting at a table before anyone came over to take our order.
My friend and I visited this restaurant for lunch today, and unfortunately, we had a disappointing service experience. To start, the waiter didn’t notice that my friend’s water glass was empty and didn’t refill it throughout our meal. I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea, and when I found what seemed to be a short hair or string in my cup, I mentioned it to the waiter. Instead of handling it professionally, he responded dismissively, saying, 'I think it’s coming from you,' in a cold tone. As a person with long hair and wearing a blue shirt and white pants, I couldn’t find anything similar on myself. This response was not only unhelpful but also made us feel uncomfortable. Throughout the meal, we ordered quite a bit of food, but when we were ready for dessert, the waiter had not cleared the empty plates from the table. When I politely asked him to clear the table, he seemed to laugh it off, which added to our frustration. When we paid the bill, I shared my concerns with a female manager (I assume she was the manager), and she was polite and professional, but the waiter’s behavior remained frustrating and left a negative impression. Regarding the food, we shared the Tom Yum Seafood Hotpot, grilled pork, and mango sticky rice. The grilled pork and mango sticky rice were both good. The Tom Yum hotpot was a bit too sweet for our liking, although the seafood was fresh and well-prepared. I enjoyed my drunken noodles, which I asked to be made less sweet, and they were spicy and flavorful. My friend, however, didn’t enjoy her green curry, as it was too sweet and lacked the depth of flavor she expected—it was also more soupy than creamy. While the food had its highlights, the service was a major letdown, and it overshadowed the overall experience. Given the poor service, I don’t think we’ll return. Despite the issues, I still left a 10% tip, though I really felt the service deserved less.
I was told that the pad si ew could be made vegan, and it was served to me with egg, chicken, and probably fish oil too since they put chicken in 🙄 wouldn’t waste your evening at this place, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.
One of the servers was extremely rude; this wasn't the first time he had behaved like that. This time, we asked for a serving spoon for 2 times, but he brought us a straw. When I said, "We meant serving spoons to share the food," he said, "You guys have spoons; you can just use that." Then he kept ignoring our table. Moreover, surprisingly, I was overcharged for my bill. I am so dissapointed that I need to lost one of my favorite restaurant in local because of his attitude.
Ordered two pad thai and spring rolls at 5:32pm. Online ordering said my order would be ready at 5:47pm. I arrived at 5:50pm and the hostess said my food would be ready in 10 minutes. No big deal! However, food wasn’t ready until 6:19pm. I’m usually not too annoyed by minor delays but if the food is still a half hour away from being ready don’t say it’ll be ready in 10 minutes.
Worst chicken pad thai ever. Ate 3 bites - terrible.Entire dish "off tasting-ingredients did not taste fresh". Expressed dissatisfaction to waiter [at end of meal] offered to remake dish- why? Still charged for entree. Will not return.Had much better tasting Thai food at other local restaurants.
I really want to be a regular customer here. But, for the third time today I had to wait for 50 minutes past the pick-up time for a to-go order. When I walked in they let us know that it would be 30-40 minutes. I asked for a refund instead of waiting. They checked with the kitchen and assured me it would just be a few minutes, as they had some other people’s food they could use instead. I continued to wait 40 minutes. My recommendation for the restaurant would be to properly update their to-go food software for correct pick-up times. And to honor refunds when food hasn’t started being made yet and they are running on such a delay.
Our neighbor kindly gave us a physical gift card with a receipt. The card was not loaded intentionally by the restaurant. This restaurant refused to honor it even when the receipt for the gift card was shown. We have been going there for 10 years. We will not return! Think twice before buying a gift card. Update:Email has been sent to email provided with receipt and gift card . Update:The owner asked me to follow up with pics of my gift card and receipt. The owner never followed up with me. It was obvious that the owner has no integrity. The owner stole money from our generous neighbor who purchased a gift card for us and refused to honor the gift card /receipt after the staff acknowledged the full amount on the receipt was not used yet. Do not buy gift cards from this restaurant and I’d think twice before spending your money at Thai Seasonings in Rochester NY
TLDR; we waited over an hour for a to go order we had put in 1.5 hours in advance, customers actively ignored and shown no hospitality, and then the food was bad when we finally got it. Had one of the worst takeout experiences of my life here on Saturday 10/4/25. Knowing it was a Saturday and likely busy we put in our order online at 5:15 for a pick up of 6:45. We ordered 4 entrees and 2 appetizers. I have worked food service before, so when I arrived to pick up the food at 6:40 and saw it was on the busier side I anticipated having to wait a little longer, no problem. We did not receive our food until 7:50. During that incredibly long wait we watched others come in, wait for a table, get sat, and receive their dinner. Not just one table, but multiple. We saw every other person who came in to pick up food receive their orders before ours as well and sincerely doubt all those people somehow got their orders in before we did at 5:15. This would not have been as upsetting as it was had they shown any hospitality at all. We were ignored and avoided the entire wait time. After an hour had passed I finally seeked out the hostess and asked if they had any idea why our order is taking so long while I see people getting sat and served. Instead of offering anything helpful I was gaslit and told the people I watched get sat in the restaurant somehow had gotten there orders in before ours. At any other restaurant I've been to where something happened out of their control causing a massive delay in my order they at least offered me a soda or a small bite to make it more bearable, this includes places like The Olive Garden. Here we were actively avoided, no eye contact, no sorry for the wait. Now worst of all, when we finally received our food the Panang Curry was cold and less than half the portions I've received from the restaurant in the past, one had about a spoonful of curry in the container. A truly disappointing experience and I will not be ordering from here again with all the other delicious Thai food places in Rochester. Check out Wild Elephant or Khong Thai for great Thai food that has never disappointed.
Less than half full Curry for $17. A robbery. Took a break from ordering from here for the same reason I am posting, decided to give them another chance and this is what we got. Then they tried to tell me that this is how it's supposed to be served...💀 🤡 why would a dish supposed to be served like this? Actually what is the reasoning? There are more Thai restaurants in the area that serve the same dish, full, for the same price.
