Lucca - Rockland

I’ve been here twice before and it’s been really nice. Tonight My best friend took me here for my birthday and our server Russell went above and beyond. He was incredible - everything he recommended was absolutely delicious and he made the night that much more special with his customer service and outgoing personality and positive energy. I would definitely recommend Lucca’s before tonight but especially now, Russell is my favorite. 10/10!

Went to Lucca's in Rockland with friends Thursday night and it was so good! We started with wine and the Beef Arancini stuffed with Mozzarella and drizzled with a delightful sauce. I had the Ricotta Cavatelli, braised BOAR, pork meatballs, bacon and swiss chard. I am not a meat eater but had never had BOAR before so... it was so flavorful and rich and yummy. Two friends had the Linguini Shrimp with baby kale, pancetta in a garlic spicy arrabiata sauce. They loved it and commented on how zingy the sauce was. Another friend had the Hanger steak with twice fried potatoes and she really enjoyed her dinner too. Venue is gorgeous, service was superb and the owner was ever present and pitching in to compliment the great teamwork. We had a good time.

Great food and service. The server, Dan, pictured here, was very open to giving out his preferences, like roast beef panini, calamari appetizer and carrot cake. They were all great suggestions.

First time here! The pork chop and orzo are to die for great bartending service was great we had Brian he was very tentative within reason and respectful!

The service and food are 5 star! My bartender Darrell was friendly, and the service was above and beyond. The Sordfish was one of the best meals that I had that I can remember .Carrot cake was amazing too. Thanks Lucca!!

My husband and I had a wonderful evening at Lucca! The food was phenomenal, the holiday cocktails were a delight, and the staff members went out of their way to be friendly and conversational. We will be back, and look forward to it greatly!

Always a great experience eating here! Highly recommend the chefs special Salmon Tartare on the nights that they get a fresh whole salmon in shipment. Best. Meal. Ever. Arancini, meat balls, 18 year cured prosciutto are amazing! Like eating homemade. The dinner pasta plates are amazing as well but the salmon tartare is worth the drive alone! Highly recommend.

Family of 14 people. Best restaurant experience we have had!!! From the ambiance, the staff, the food everything was excellent. Sarah was very pleasant, thoughtful and accommodating. I couldn’t have asked for more. The chef did an excellent job. The kids loved the pizza and burgers😍. All seafood dishes were extremely fresh. I can go on & on! Thank you Lucca! You guys have set even more higher standards of what a restaurant should be. Thank you!!

I came here for a work lunch, and they had speedy services, good drinks, and different food. I will be back again.

The beet salad was delish as well as the salmon!! They have espresso and bourbon on tap which was soo good!! The lemon sorbet was yummy!!!

My boyfriend and I stopped in to the bar for the first time to have a few drinks and wait for some takeout. The vibes were great, the service and drinks were very good. We got home and were delighted to find that the food was really excellent. (We don't find a lot of Italian of this caliber on the south shore). Highlights include the arancini and the bolognaise, but it was all delicious. A few days later, I noticed a second charge on my credit card. I was so bummed and braced for a fight with the restaurant, the credit card company etc. to get a refund for the accidental charge. WRONG. I was so thrilled with how they handled this. I left a message and got a call back less than 20 minutes later from manager Kristen, with whom I spent less than 1 minute on the phone before this was entirely resolved. She apologized for the error and I got my refund. It was painless. Mistakes happen, but the way they handled this was so professional. Stellar customer service. I truly can't wait to go back!

I went here a couple days ago and my server Sophia was amazing!!! she made sure i had everything i needed, the food and drinks were great too!

Last night my family and I had a wonderful experience at Lucca! This was a group of 13 people and our server Gabby handled it flawlessly. She was just amazing and we can’t thank her enough for making our family reunion so special. The staff and food were spectacular. Shrimp cocktail, calamari, meatballs, pizza and short ribs were delish. Some of the group had entrees which included salmon, fettuccine and salads. Everyone said their food was amazing! Lucca is the place to go for atmosphere and fantastic food!

This is our “go to” place. We’ve been going regularly for years and haven’t had a bad meal yet. The staff and service is amazing. Best expression martinis…hands down.

I loved everything about this place. The ambience was so chic. Our waiter was superb and the food was amazing! My only critique would be the menu. My boyfriend and I are major foodies, and him being from East Boston is extremely picky with Italian food, so he was just disappointed to not see some more traditional Italian options like veal/chicken Parm or carbonara. Other than that, it was great and we will be back!

Pearse was amazing! He knew so much about the wines and everything he suggested was exactly what we wanted. He truly is one of a kind and we can’t wait to come back!

Our meals were great, I went small with the three meatball appetizer and a side of linguini, and I was stuffed!! The flower less chocolate torte was an awesome dessert!the bread and dipping oil were great too , we were casual so we sat in the bar, I walk with a cane and needed low seating not a cafe table and they accommodated no problem!. All around a great experience Food great service great. Atmosphere in the bar was good and the dining room looked very nice. But we were in a bar mood.

Such a fun experience! Thursday night bar was packed with fun people and a great band played fun tunes! Hannah our bartender was awesome. Can’t wait to come back!

By far the best restaurant in the area. From the service to the food quality everything was 5 stars. We had John as a server, he was charismatic, attentive, and he knew the menu inside and out. John was amazing, he recommended the bolognese and it was out of this world! Everything was made in house and of the highest quality. On a scale of 1-10 this place is a 12, we will definitely be back!

Went here for Valentine’s day and had a wonderful time. Our server Gabby was incredible and we felt taken care of despite how busy the place was. food was great, star of the show was the green lentil hummus but everything was great. There is a fine dining charm while still being local.

We got the bread + hummus to start with the mussel appetizer, pork chop & chicken breast entrees, and shared a tasty blueberry cobbler style dessert topped with salted caramel ice cream and an amazing Angels Envy cocktail. Jon our server was exceptional. Very personable, knowledgeable and outstanding service beginning to end. ☺️

We went to Lucca last night (Saturday) and scored seats at the bar. The food was off the charts incredible— House-made pappardelle, butternut squash Alfredo, roasted red peppers, fried sage and Statler Chicken Breast! WOW! 🤩 The bar tenders —Carley, Jean, and Jenny were so friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful, stylish…and yet a very cozy atmosphere! Huge kudos for hitting is out of the park…food, service, atmosphere! We will see you all soon! Thank you! 🩷

Amazing place,food, environment, service. Our server Jessie was amazing and sweet, took good care of us and made my little girl feel comfortable and understood.

The shrimp scampi & Espresso Martini flight were perfect! I wish I could recall 1 particular bartenders name. When we arrived it was the end of his shift but he was THE best. I know he's into surfing! I'll definitely return next time I'm in Mass!

Great atmosphere and service! The food was delicious.. we had the short rib gnocchi and the cheese burger. Both were delicious! The twice fried French fries were amazing, crispy on the outside but soft inside!! The espresso martini and the dirty martini were on point, I recommend blue cheese stuffed olives in the dirty 👌🏻 We finished with the butterscotch pudding.. this was phenomenal 😍 The bartenders Hannah and Brian are so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu!! They made our experience even better!! Overall, I can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu!!

This place has THE BEST FOOD on the south shore hands down!! From the minute we walked into the door all the way to when we left, we were warmly greeted. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. They have FREE valet also on the weekends which we were very impressed with. The chicken dish is cooked to perfection. You absolutely MUST have the carrot cake and the expresso martinis were as close to perfect as you can get. Don’t hesitate.

Went there for Dinner by myself. The waiter, though admittedly new, was very pleasant. A little soft-spoken, it was hard to hear him though. The dining room was so dark I absolutely could not read the menu, had to use the fake candle. But, the oysters were grade A and the Mignonette was one of the best I had. Had the homemade gnocchi with braised short rib, to die for, excellent. I received the wrong Entrée though, so I was disappointed. Ordered the Orecchiette with sausage and got the Cavatelli instead. The Cavatelli dish was too similar to my app, and though it was good, was not what I wanted. Good wine list and decorated tastefully. I would recommend and visit again. Just turn up the light a little, please.

Love the open airy clean look inside. Our bartenders were fantastic! Informative & friendly. Good was great, highly recommend the pizza! Drinks were slightly overpriced in my opinion but otherwise was a great experience.

Feb 2024: Came back on a Friday night. Place was packed in dining room and around the bar. Tequila cocktail was too small and went down in 2 seconds. I recommend any of the old fashioneds/Manhattan style drinks. We got the Beef arancini, chicken tagliatelle, and lobster Gnocchi. Arancini was awesome, 2 entrees were just ok in our opinion. Apr 2023:Came here on a Sunday night and it was reasonably busy, but got seated immediately. Bar area is nice and has high ceilings, fireplace, and music on in the background. I got the salmon plate and my fiancé got the burger. Both were great. Our drinks were good as well.

The food was delicious, the Lucca’s cocktail with coffee was awesome. They have a beautiful bar that you can see the games and a side casual that you can have a date. I loved the pizza and just will not give the 5 stars because brakes my heart the basil in little pieces.

This is a lovely restaurant with well-trained, friendly staff. It was impeccably clean , well-lit and spacious. It was ideal for quiet conversation. Overall the food quality was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The only drawback was the small pasta portioning on the Sunday Supper. The homemade sorbet was excellent.

First time there. My Rigatoni Bolognese was very good. Service was so-so. The menu was a little on the thin side, but it has something for everyone one I guess. It's just not big enough to get me to be a frequent visitor. One last remark, give a spoon with the oil served with the bread.

We had a wonderful dinner at Lucca a week ago. Went back today and never got served. We arrived at 4:30. The hostess made us wait 10 minutes to seat us while she worked at the computer. Finally she seated us..only people in dining room. 10 minutes later bus girl brought us water. After 20 more minutes still no waitress for drink order.....so we left and went to Trattoria San Pietro for a great meal. Very sad.

We were searching for a restaurant to go to for this past Sunday. My daughter and I reviewed the menu and the reviews and Lucca seemed like the perfect place to wet our appetite. Our server, Nicole, did not seem especially welcoming but it was Easter and they had a descent crowd. Our reservation was for 4:30 and we were prompt. We discovered from Nicole that she had come in at 3:00. Therefore, her shortness with us may have been her still adjusting to the weekend rush, yet still not a reason. We ordered the olives and gnocchi with short rib for an appetizer. The short rib was mushy and the gnocchi was flavorless. We continued to snack on the olives and the herb baked bread (which was very salty), but it had been some time and our food had yet to come out and we were becoming quite hungry. Let me comment here on the disappointing amount of Italian entrees. The menu was significantly different than we had viewed when we made our dining choice. Finally, after a significant wait time our food was delivered. My daughter had the pub steak with fried potatoes, her boyfriend had the pork chop with orzo. I chose the fettuccine with grilled chicken. My daughters steak was burnt (excessively charred) on the exterior, although the interior looked perfect, it was inedible. Even the potatoes were dry. The pork chop was dry and tough and the orzo was far overcooked and bland. My meal was perhaps the most redeemable, the fettuccine was cooked as it should have been, but the flavor, once again, was bland. Worse yet the chicken was so dry it was difficult to chew. My daughter and her boyfriend waited patiently for Nicole to come to tell her about their meals. When she finally came beck, both of those meals were returned to the kitchen, barely touched. The funniest part was Nicole asking if they would like them to go. I was totally surprised that the manager was not brought to our table to apologize for the quality of the food. The two returned meals were credited, but I can tell you I have had many fine dining experiences and never one such as this. Even an apology that they were lowv on staff would have helped. I wish Lucca's the best but we wont be returning.

First time at Lucca, it's hard to give anything more than a 2/3 star. Went here on a Sunday party of 3 around 4pm, bar was super slow, and food was just bland, I got the sirloin steak with potatoes and it lacked flavor. The best part about the meal was the espresso martinis and coconut cannoli's. Unfortunately I most likely won't be back.

Food was mediocre at best. Meatballs were overcooked and over mixed resulting in a chewy and firm texture. Pancetta wrapped cod was overcooked and side of shaved Brussels and pave potatoes had no flavor. Service was chaotic. The waiters were assigned tables all over the restaurant instead of sections resulting in them running around instead of being attentive. Would have rather spent $190 on a case of wine and Wendy's than dinner for 2 here.

Went there last Thursday for a birthday celebration and 4 out of 6 of us we extremely dissatisfied with our meals. My granddaughter ordered pasta with butter and there was so much butter she couldn’t eat it. 2 of us bolognese which was very dry hardly any sauce, the birthday boys burger was overcooked. Only meals that were good was the pasta and meatballs. Lots of money for terrible meals and was not worth the time to send 4 of them back as we waited to long for our meals to start with. Have been there several times before but will not be going back

Food was good been here twice the manager however appears to be racist, put his finger inside my takeout container, told me I got too much food last time I went and I shouldn’t of been served what I was given when I dined in. Even when I dined in the waiter told me and my partner that we probably wouldn’t finish the food we were tryna order and said to share a side. Which is weird because the more we order the more money for them, Idk if they low on ingredients or what but the experiences here were weird. The host was very kind though. Overall, you’ll receive better treatment if you’re white man/ woman for sure.
