Incredible, authentic Mexican food, great prices. Phenomenal tacos, everything I've tried here so far has been exceptional. This may be my favorite place for Mexican food
Best Taqueria I have had since moving up to the Sac area in June. I'm from the bay where authentic Mexican food is a regular occurrence. Salsa was actually spicy, meat was juicy, chicken was chopped not shredded and well seasoned, had the soft and hard shell tacos. Hardshell was amazing!! Both were great, rice and beans very flavorful!
Really a great little Taqueria to enjoy authentic Mexican food and the price point is perfect. The plates come with rice your choice of type of beans and plentiful meat in your dish. We've gone there twice now and will continue to go when we get the urge for Mexican food.
What a great little spot. I travel all over the place for work so I always check out groupon to discover new places. So I came here for dinner with a friend after a long day of work. He got 4 chicken street tacos and I got 2 carnitas crunchy tacos and I got them like street tacos with just onions and cilantro not the typical way with lettuce tomatoes and cheese. And we got a side of black beans and rice to share. The chips and salsa are on the house. The smoked pepper salsa is what we got and it was all so very delicious. I will be back for sure.
The staff was awesome. They even had a unique game for my kids which was cool. It was a balloon cactus which you toss rings on to. Food was good. Portions were hearty. We used Groupon to aid in paying.
Most delicious food I have ever tasted. I have never tasted food as good as here. I couldnt make it any better. Fresh ingredients. Made fresh. Hands down the best place to eat. Prices are amazing especially being a college student. 10/10 recommend
I had the Los Cabo bowl with carnitas and my girlfriend had the soft taco plate. We were both extremely impressed. Great Mexican food! They had great salsa and jalapeño sour cream at the salsa bar!!!
So delicious. They have a jalapeño crema at the salsa bar that is to die for. Everything here is fresh and and the flavors are vibrant. Highly recommend the chimichanga and the mariscos when they have them.
A very nice, family owned Taqueria and one of the few places locally I've found that has sopes on the menu. Best soft tacos I've ever had, do yourself a favor and try some when you visit.
Great Mexican food in a surprising location. Great value too. Helpful server. Skip chains, go here. We really enjoyed our meal.
Everything we've tried here has been delicious. We love their burritos, and also enjoy the chips & salsa bar.
We LOVE this taqueria. Hands down our favorite place for tacos. But first, the safety stuff: These guys are set up with plexi at the counter and good line spacing. Employees were careful and wearing masks. Sanitizer was out in several areas and tables available outside. Inside was available with doors open providing great airflow. Now the good stuff! We usually order the crispy taco plate (I get chicken, the hubs usually gets al pastor). It comes with rice & beans, chips and salsa bar and a drink...worth every penny!!
I walk here from the college campus. It's soo good! I always order their soft chicken tacos and an horchata. Their food is so good! And the prices aren't too bad.
So excellent! The best carnitas in town! The grilled chicken is great, too! Actually, everything is really delicious. Lots of outdoor seating and plenty of area inside to properly social distance. Definitely a hidden gem in Rocklin!!
We Love our new Taco place. They have beer and Marguritas, athentic mexican food.
The food was amazing and it's authentic Mexican food! The guy at the register is extremely nice best customer service. Very clean restaurant. They are across the street form Seirra College which is perfect for students.
Finally made it in, street tacos crunch tacos for the win plus yummy salsa
Excellent food. Friendly service. Authentic!

Excellent food. Friendly service. Authentic!
Wonderful, fried-shell crispy tacos! Great beans and rice. Seems a little "tight" with chips, but this may be due to proximity of the college.... Good food, reasonably priced.
Good food. Their salsas are too spicy for me, so paid extra for a side of pico... full of peppers. They should have mentioned it since I told them that I needed a MILD option. It was good after I picked out all the peppers.
The portions are great, their cream filled churros are delicious it's a must item you should try. Food was great too. I used a Grupon but they only let you use 2 groupons at a time. I couldn't take pictures since we were traveling and took it to go. But overall if we are in the area will come back again
Very good food in large servings. This is more traditional Mexican food- not Taco Bell Americanized version. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. It is hard to locate because of the signage not being obvious from the road, but worth it once you find it!
I always get their two taco daily special which comes with rice and beans. While the steak is good, the chicken is much better. The chicken tacos are similar to Jimboys tacos. You order from the cashier and the food, when ready, is delivered to your table. Chips and salsa is offered free.
This place has awesome good food , but the person helping us must have been having a crappy day cause they was just fast to get done with us and on the next. They were very short and their descriptions of some of the food was very vague and not helpful at all.
Food was pretty good. Service is just like most places. I have to have to engage the person working there first. It would be nice to see places that the employees are taught to greet their customers as they walk in. Classic Californians for you. Although the restaurant had a lot of decor, it still felt fake. Like a fake smile.
What the owner lacks in social skills he makes up by far in the tacos he makes. Been going for years and still asks me what I'm ordering and if I want soft tortillas with onions and cilantro?? I haven't changed my order ever btw!
We had dinner there today for the first time. I had a cheese enchilada and carnitas taco. The service was quick and efficient. I have to say that was one of the best enchiladas that i have ever eaten. The sauce, next to my Mom's, was probably second best. We will definitely return.

Server asked if I wanted extra plate so I can share my fajitas with my wife, then brought entire new meal for her. Made a quick lunch very expensive. Didn't complain because slight language barrier that caused problem to begin with.
We always get a burrito when in the area! Salsa & chips are self serve and delicious! Owner/cashier isn't ever friendly and is often out of items.
A nice utilitarian spot to get some authentic Mexican food. Order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table...quick style. I had a pork quesadilla, my companion had a chimichanga, both were excellent. Try the white 'salsa' .

The owner who works the whole place by himself is grumpy and has no customer service skills. Food is pretty good but I like to eat local and spend my hard earned money at good food and friendly service. I’ve been coming here for three years now because it’s so close to my house but this guy just sets me off. I know the restaurant business isn’t easy. I’ve worked in it for over 30 yrs but if your that unhappy then time for a change. I never comment but too many times of rude service!!!
Food was alright. As we finished eating I described it as just a touch better than eating at home, and I think it's only better because I didn't have to cook or do dishes. Owner guy was not necessarily rude, but definitely not friendly. He only had a few meat options from the list available. The prices were over average for Mexican. Overall it was an underwhelming experience and I won't be back.

Didnt have the meat for the options wanted, even though listed on menu. Would not go again, try Taco Express for a quick bite from a taqueria, not this overpriced trash can with no Asada haaaa
Good food, but bad attitude. I went to this restaurant to u out the food on a conference whim and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. However, the guy who was working at the counter seemed to be a little annoyed, but I assumed it could've just been a long day and the Covid has a lot of business owners frustrated... So I said I'd try it again, but after going , 3 times now the guy at the register (who I'm assuming is the owner) appeared visibly irritated everytime I went. During my last visit I needed to add to my order as be my wife had just updated me on something she wanted late. When I explained this to the owner, he sighed and leaned down with annoyance... So moving forward I'm not supporting this business anymore.
Deep down, I want to only give him a one star because he was very rude. However, the food is really good when it is not overcooked. That was my only complaint on my second visit…the carne asada was burnt to a crisp and after politely telling him that, he seemed to not quite understand what I was telling him he cut me off as I was talking to him and took the plate and stormed back to the kitchen to remake it. When he brought back the new burrito, he proceeded to argue with me about it and then stormed away as I was talking to him again. I never once raised my voice, nor was I rude. I actually apologized to him as I was telling him he overbooked my food because I didn’t want to come off like I was insulting him or anything.
I enjoyed this place better before it was sold to the current owners. The quality has dropped substantially, but thanks to Sierra College it will stay open longer than reasonable for a crappy restaurant. The food is pretty good, except I have found too many rocks in my burritos to ever go there again. Be warned, you might get a pebble in your pinto beans! There are far too many great taqueria around to frequent this mediocre one. I suggest either Jalisco's and El Parian over in Stanford Ranch, if you are looking for great tacos go to Chando's.
I ordered 2 Carne asada super burritos today and unfortunately neither my wife or I were able to finish them. Both had a fishy flavor that we couldn't place and couldn't ignore. I used to really enjoy this spot when I was a student as Sierra college but this is my first time trying them in years. I don't think I'll return.
Unfortunately this place was not as great as I hoped. We had a fairly large order. There was only one person working which is unfair to the employee. He was taking orders, making orders and serving. Due to this i saw 4 customers leave and I was only there for about 40 minutes. Maybe they had an off day I'm not sure. The chicken felt like it was scraped from the bottom of the bucket. No flavor, dark and hard. They had no seafood available that day. They had no kids size tortillas for the kids menu. Someone had to ask for the chips to be refilled.

Was out of bread for Torta’s, was out of French fries for carne asada fries, ended up leaving..
Years ago this restaurant was a great value with good food and great prices. For years now every time we go there the cashier/chef/waiter/busboy/janitor tells us, after we order, that they are out of what we want or that it will take a ridiculous amount of time to cook. Most of the times it’s right after it opens (it says 10am but don’t come at 10, they won’t be open). How can they be out of something if no one has ordered it yet?! He could just say we didn’t buy shrimp or bell peppers or refry any beans today. Also, if your food doesn’t come out the way you expected, don’t ever try to have it remade, you will basically be banned from then on. He will remember you forever. A little about the atmosphere, there are nice trinkets around but no a/c in the summer and no heat in the winter. He did bring an outdoor propane heater inside at one time. Im not sure if he ever fired it up.
If you're used to the good old Mexican hospitality don't come here. Food is average, in my opinion not good at all. Gentleman taking your order, I believe his name was Gonzalo, doesn't know how to deal with customers. thumbs down 👎
This was very disappointing. If the pandemic would not have been going on I would have taken my food back. No flavor, hardly and filling inside my chimichanga, the wrap was as thick as my thumb. It was like 4 pounds of tortilla and and quarter pound of filling. Also $4 for a glass coke. Seriously price gouging. Thanks for waisting my money and time!
The owner was extremely rude, we ordered our food at 6pm and even though online it says they’re open until 8 he told us 7:30. When we went to get horchata from the fountain he had already put it away for the night and said there was no more even though we clearly saw the dispenser half full.
Very rude service. We used to go here weekly in our college years and came back for the nostalgia. Every other item we tried to order they were out of and the cashier was very impatient and curt. Sad to see that it has fallen by the wayside and no longer has the friendly atmosphere we once enjoyed.
I've been a regular here for years but he insulted my mother in law. She was on a special diet and had asked for a couple things to not be included in her taco salad. He refused and toar up her order "because it was rediculous". Do you want to lose customers? This is how you lose customers.
Half the items on their menu was unavailable. Food was mediocre at best. The entire restaurant was filled with junk EVERYWHERE. Making a dine in experience very uncomfortable. They are focused more on their catering business than their dine in guest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

On Saturday May the 31st I went to Taqueria to use the restroom but then I decided to buy some food. When I went to look at the menu one of the store owners said they were closed which is very confusing because I looked at the website and it says that they are open on Saturdays. I just wish that maybe I could have asked him why they were closed so that maybe I would have gotten a good answer. I don't like being lied to if the restraunt wasn't closed.
Waste of time, walked in and asked for a torta and dude told me they dont have bread so I asked for a breakfast burrito then he said they dont have eggs! This place sucks honestly and ruined my mood. Definitely recommend you save your time and money and avoid this place.
The food quality was disappointing. The carne asada tasted as if it had been frozen and only partially reheated, it was cold, clumped together, and lacked freshness. Unfortunately, the customer service didn’t make up for it either, as the staff seemed almost bothered by having to serve us. There is also junk everywhere which makes the place look messy and uninviting.
