This has to be one of the best places in town. The seafood, pizza and meat were all outstanding. The service here is top notch and they even had live preform.

Outstanding little restaurant. It rarely happens, that I walk into a Restaurant and everything is 100%! We walked in and even though they were busy we were welcomed very warm and friendly. The service was great, the waiter who was probably the owner was very knowledgeable and recommended the right wine to our food. The food was seasoned and cooked for perfection! The price is a bit higher but you will not regret spending it! Plus it's always great to support smaller business's that clearly put a lot of thought and work into their business. The music and the atmosphere was very comfortable, almost a home like feeling. We will definitely be back!

Swonderful Woodfired cooked food. We ordered the grooper and flounder. They were both cooked perfectly, the sides; mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, risotto, and zucchini and squash were amazing. The service was great Jeremy did an excellent job, , he's was slammed but still found a way to make you part of the family while there. I should of tried a pizza but there's is always a next time if we're so blessed to have one. This restaurant is worth a visit.

Would just like to say, what a great atmosphere. With some Great food. Fresh seafood cevichi is a winner nerve in my book, the refreshing lime and jalapeno, but not to spicy. The New York steak is cooked to perfection with the fresh vegetables that accompanied it. Thank you to the service and the cooks for a great experience.

So the food is good, however our food came out at different times. We are a family of 4 and my wife's came out first, she finished it, and then my daughter's food came out and then my son's and my food came out. Extremely loud in a small space. The dinner was one hour and forty five minutes. They ran out of food and closed the dinner around 7ish. This place really sucked tonight.

Was so excited for this place because it seems like a gem “hole in the wall”. We went with another couple and had drinks all around and two entrees to share. The bill was over $400 and no one was overly impressed with the frozen mediocre seafood when we’re on the water. We were jammed into such a small space and it just didn’t seem worth the prices they were charging. Also- they didn’t provide an itemized receipt which just seems off in my opinion. I won’t go back.

$80 literally thrown in the garbage. 2 pizzas 1 side, 2 drinks. Wish I could get a refund. Completely disappointed, I took 2 bites and that all I could. Rubbery dough, not very flavorful. Compared to other pictures of pizzas there was barely any cheese on mine. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken and it looked like a puke covered pizza. They have way too tables in such a small place so you're right on top of each other. They had live background music which made it hard to have a conversation. Server was good that was the only positive. Kitchen was pretty slow for wood fire pizzas. They take a minute to cook, finally got ours 20 minutes later. Not sure what has changed but if you sort the reviews by "NEWEST" there definitely seems to be a trend of unsatisfied customers stating food is way overpriced for the level of quality. Looks like I'll be driving in to Corpus next time. Prefer to support our local businesses but not if they don't deserve it.

Told to come here by our hotel with high recommendation, 75+ min wait for garlic bites, 2 pizzas & a wedge salad. After we arrived at 6pm Sunday night, we were told seat ourselves & 3 other tables came in after us. It took 10 minutes to be given menus and get a soda & 2 waters. After 20 mins our order was taken, the other tables that came in after us were waited on, and served their meals and left before we even got the wedge salad. Garlic bites turned up at 7pm with the salad. After 720pm ( nearly 1.5hrs after turning up) we still didn't have our pizzas. Told them to put them in to go boxes. The food we did get was good. Our waitress was sweet, but seemed to be railroaded by the older male waiter who was very indignant towards her & her tables.

We waited 1.5 hours for our food, and it was very mediocre on a Sunday evening. The snapper was tough, the sauce good, but the asparagus was burnt and squash was nasty. It was the special but was not special especially for $48. Had shrimp Alfredo with 4 grilled shrimp on it and there was hardly any sauce, very dry. Service was not great, friendly staff but not attentive and because we were a party of 8 with 3 separate tickets they added the gratuity of 22% which was a total ripoff. Would not recommend and will not go back. Very disappointed!

Nothing special about this place. Steak was tough and the red fish tasted so fishy we could not eat either of the main dishes. We ask to visit with the manager and she never showed up. Way too many excellent places to eat in Rockport with much better food and less expensive. We have tried this restaurant twice with the same outcome. We tried to give a second chance but, this was the last. Do not waste your time and money here. Our waitress was new and very pleasant.

There is nothing good to say about "The Groove Steak & Lobster House". Took my family there as an alternative to "Wild Prawn" which closed several months ago and was not impressed. To start the servers were less than attentive. I had a fly in my tea and after 10 minutes of trying to get our server's attention. Another table had to do a "Cat Call" to get her to get off her phone and come out of the kitchen. Thing's didn't get any better after that. I ordered the steak and lobster and was extremely disappointed. I asked for medium rare and got medium well. The lobster was tuff and lacked any flavor. The only one who thought who had anything positive to say was my son who ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza. In addition to bad food and service, the entertainment would have been better if they played the sound of two alley cats fighting. Definately not worth the money nor the time. We would have had a better meal at McDonalds. Do yourself a favor and visit any of the other fine dining establishements in Rockport before going here.

Pricing was outrageous in comparison to the quality. Steaks were sub par for being priced at $59.00. Lobster was definitely frozen and not what one would expect. Advertising definitely exceeded the overall quality presented. Not a return visit for this customer. We basically spent $200 at a pizza joint. Our bad!!!
