Fabulous food in a quaint location with excellence service throughout the meal. Highly recommend Franks!
I have been eating in restaurants for many years but this place is the big winner. Not only is the food fantastic but the atmosphere is what its all about. This is a place that treats me like famiiy. Chris, one of the owners is a Phenominal person, his mother and sister are unbelievable, they kiss me on the cheek when I come there, Alex and Mike and Marcel and the entire crew are like family in a great place to eat with a great atmosphere, what more could you ever want. Go there and see for yourself.
The food here was absolutely fantastic. The steaks were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. No sauces required. I ordered the surf and turf and was not disappointed the lobster was extremely fresh. Great spot for a romantic night out but be careful if you bring the whole family as the prices are a bit high!
Just can't describe how good their food is, you have to see for yourself. I had the porterhouse for one, delicious. Their cocktails come with a free refill, unheard of? Also, I really enjoyed the French onion soup. Highly Recommended.
Been here many times, often take folks visiting from out of town. Skirt steak is always a hit. Service is good. The gentleman who was the maître d' tonight was excellent.
Frank's Romanian skirt steak is our absolute favorite!! It's tender, delicious, and plentiful! This is our second time calling them for takeout in the last month. The creamed spinach is the perfect pairing with the steak. Even the fried onions travel home well. Love it here, for dining in or taking out!
I was expecting good steak. What we got was GREAT steak. The creamed spinach was delicious, and this place passed one of the most important tests... Fresh, warm bread. We're definitely coming back. Highly recommend.
Tremendous all around. Just a beautiful way to spend Christmas Eve. This was the best dining experience of the year. The staff was SUPER friendly, including the GM/owner Chris. I’ve been home for 15 minutes and I’m already looking forward to our next visit!!! Best French onion soup ever. Everything was PERFECT 🤩
Nice place, Server very polite and kind, And most import and crucial part that food came out in a record time. Huge restaurant, A lot of tables BUT cleanliness I rate it too low to rate, It's all dusty. There's flowers covering the ceiling and the walls I guess there's mold or something bad is being covered, It's a fire hazard for sure, But who am I to judge you know. I don't know for me I'm not blinded by all the reviews and ratings, I'm writing an honest review. For me not a restaurant I would visit again, I had to go there cause I was invited, But the restaurant vibe is lost in the old furniture and not so bright lighting. They need to put bigger windows or something. Silver diamond awarded 2021-2023 by food sciece? It looked like these awards are bought or custom made awards with all due respect to the restaurant and it's owners. Food was okay nothing wow, But portions are too big and honestly I have no clue how can they afford it. The biggest con for me honestly, One fish option and one chicken option then the rest was steaks and side orders. Well thank you guys for making our visit pleasant.
Came here on a Sunday for brunch. We had the vegetable omelette which was very good with diced asparagus and fruit jam. We also had the lobster omelette which was great, and the skirt steak and eggs was great. This was our first time, and will be back to brunch and dinner.
Our favorite restaurant especially in the RVC area!!! Food is delicious, service is fast & attentive, atmosphere is on point, the decorations are gorgeous & it is definitely a family-run business & personal experience ❤ I've had multiple parties & large tables here & the guests are always wow'd! The owner/GM Chris knows how to take care of his patrons. Thank you Frank's Steaks & staff!!
Excellent experience! Everything we ate was 10/10! Service was outstanding!!! Run don’t walk!!!
Went for a drink after work one night and the atmosphere was top tier. Decorated beautifully for every holiday and the staff are so nice and attentive. Food smelled and looked amazing and menu has great selections. Will definitely be back to try it.
First time at this location but not the last. I've been at the location that closed(Syosset?) several times and enjoyed the dinners there but will be back to Rockville Center location a gain.
Excellent service, really impressed with the staff . we had 14 of us and the waiter was perfect.drinks where always filled. The appetizers were delicious and they all came out at the same time. Everybody was happy with their food. I got the filet mignon. It was cooked exactly the way I asked for. A vegetables will awesome. Really great night for a cousin's dinner.
First of all I was greeted by the owner of the establishment Chris. When I say this man is a gentleman I mean it. The service in this establishment is completely outstanding. Although it is nothing compared to the delicious steaks that this place serves! I've been to many steakhouses across the Nation and by far this place is number one of all time! I can't say enough about the beautiful wonderful staff from the servers to the kitchen people! Let me mention again how warmly I was greeted by the owner Chris! If anybody ever wants the best steak in their life they need to come here to Frank's steakhouse!
Well to start off the waiter was on point. He was pleasant and he knew his menu. He was informative to my wife since she is gluten free. The food was prepared perfectly. I left stuffed. Eric was our waiter and I thought he was excellent, not overbearing but efficient. Two thumbs up.
This is our families goto steak place. Wonderful and friendly staff. Amazing food. Yes, it is a little pricey. However, you definitely get your money's worth. My steak is always cooked perfectly to my liking. Also, their chicken options are delicious.
Great food. Easy parking and courteous staff create. The noise level was very low which was very conducive to our business meeting. Easy access right on the main road. I love the place and fully recommend it
Frank’s Steak House is the real deal. From the second you walk in, you’re treated like family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is top-notch...attentive, friendly, and on point without being overbearing. Now, let’s talk about the steak. Absolutely perfect. Cooked exactly how you want it, packed with flavor, and so tender it practically melts in your mouth. Whether you go for a ribeye, filet, or NY strip, you can tell they use high-quality cuts and know exactly how to cook them right. And the sides are just as good. The mashed potatoes are creamy, the mac and cheese is rich and cheesy, and the veggies are fresh and flavorful. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and service, but Frank’s does it effortlessly. If you love steak, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!
The marinated skirt steak is a must here! The thick cut bacon is delicious as well! We recommend you make a reservation, the place was packed, but not too loud. Great ambiance and service. The only thing I didn't care for was the condition of the restroom floor as it was sticky.
My father recently passed and we had to quickly organize a funeral luncheon/dinner. Franks was able to take the reservation on short notice and provided an absolutely perfect catering package. It was affordable and properly priced and everyone loved the meal. Including the fact we had a vegan option But what stole the show / made this 5 stars? The skirt steak. Holy crap, that's the best skirt steak I've ever had. I live in Manhattan and can't find skirt steak as good as Franks. I'd go back to Long Island just for the skirt steak.
The atmosphere was so warm and inviting, along with the staff members. The inside is beautiful, my eyes kept drifting to the center of the room where they have one of the coolest chandelier's. The service was amazing, I never had an empty glass of water and the staff was very friendly and helpful when I came to explaining the flavors of the dishes. They guide you towards a meal that's right for you if you're having trouble picking. I got the Romanian Skirt Steak and it was amazing, the portion size was great, the flavor and cooked evenly. It is one of the best steaks I have had on Long Island. And the Raspberry sorbet was a tasty treat afterwards. Highly recommend 👌.
I’ve been coming here with family and friends for a decade and it’s my definition of the perfect restaurant. I’ve never left hungry, I’ve always left very pleased with my meal. Pro tip, they have the best skirt steak on earth. Try it!
Hands down...my very favorite steakhouse! I enjoy the homely feel. And yes...I find this steakhouse superior to Peter Luger and Ruth Chris!!!! All three are in the same price vicinity. I visit Frank's Steakhouse quite often and typically order the Steak for 2 (even for home deliveries). Highly recommended restaurant if you love juicy, mouthwatering steak and succulent lamb! The red sangria was delicious as well.
Dinner was excellent. The strip steak was tender . Large steak cooked to perfection. Sides are served family style. Excellent fried onions, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed spinach and garlic tater tots. Service was attentive and very good Highly recommend Frank's.12/22/23 once again I give Frank's 5 stars. The service was outstanding. Christmas decorations are beautiful. They were extremely busy with every table occupied. The onion soup was excellent. Filet mignon was tender and cooked to perfection. You are not rushed and get to enjoy your time over dinner. I still highly recommend Frank's. Recommend reservations as they get quite busy.
My son and his new wife had their wedding dinner there. Food was awesome, priced fairly. The atmosphere was awesome and staff friendly.
My inaugural visit to Frank's Steaks left me thoroughly impressed. The trifecta of outstanding food, impeccable service, and top-notch cleanliness set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The attentive waitstaff, consistently ensuring everything was just right, added a touch of courtesy that elevated the experience. Ample parking, coupled with handicap accessibility, makes this spot convenient for all. Beyond the gastronomic delights, the restaurant exudes a cool vibe with its captivating interior design. Conveniently situated in Rockville Center, Frank's Steaks is a must-visit, and in my book, it's unequivocally Batman approved!
Best food, best steaks. Try their steak sauce. I had the cowboy. Loved it. The creamed spinach, amazing. If you get JB as your server, or anyone for that matter, you'll have a great evening. I went for an anniversary surprise party. Great time! Thanks to Eileen and Tony! Also the bar seems like a popular place! Lots of laughs. Can't wait to go back!
I had heard from a very good friend that Franks Steaks in Rockville center was having a happy hour. After I spoke to one of the pleasant employees on the telephone, I decided to make my way down early in the afternoon, hoping to get a seat at the bar. As it turns out, Franks has a happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 o’clock to 7:00 PM when I arrived, I was greeted very cheerfully by the bartender Jonathan who did an outstanding job of making me feel comfortable, although I was by myself and I do enjoy talking with strangers But I do want to point out is the $10 appetizers and the $10 martinis and the $10 mixed drinks as well as their specialty menu of drinks with an outstanding selection for happy hour, but what blew me away was the three dollar cans of beer. I tried a few of the appetizers Really enjoyed the wings and without question the $10 skirt steak sliders which to me seemed to be the best bang for your buck. With little doubt in my mind, I think the skirt steak sliders were filling and delicious. Best buy you can find anywhere on any of their menus. Frank’s is known for their skirt steak and for a little snack in the afternoon filled me up really nicely. I’ll be going back weekly And since I live so close probably will go back two or three times a week to catch snacks and our meals I don’t know who started this happy hour thing at Franks but make sure you give them kudos!
The server was so personable. This place stands out because they have items on the menu that you don't usually see at a steakhouse. The specials were delicious, especially the burrata with the fig jam. The cherry cheesecake was freshly made. The owner introduces himself and is so friendly. that really elevates the experience of dining out.
I adore Franks! We made a reservation for when they opened at 12 and everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Scott was holding the fort while our waiter got in and he was superb! He was so friendly! Food was great! We got the crab cakes and the lobster omelette. Additionally the restaurant was wonderfully decorated! I was in awe as we sat down.
Wow I can’t say enough good things about this place. Eric was our server and he is very kind! The bartender was amazing and accommodating. I got the French onion soup and surf and turf is ON POINT! My water glass was always full. The service is just top notch. The creamed spinach is to die for.
Frank’s is a staple steakhouse in Nassau. They’re consistent always providing good quality food and attentive service. Burrata salad is a must, deliciously dressed with fig and honey. It’s not on their menu but, it might as well be because, it’s always offered as a special. Can be split for sharing which is nice. The lobster tastes fresh and both steaks were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend the skirt steak, it’s full of flavors…marinated in something like soy sauce and honey.
Visited Frank's Steaks in Rockville Centre with my family for my birthday dinner. Beautiful entrance decor is inviting and sets a good tone for the dining experience. Our server Marcel was personable and attentive with his service, which is always a standout for me. I was a little underwhelmed by the appetizers, but my steak was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Not an ounce of exaggeration . . . By far, one of the best Skirt steaks on the planet. Food is flavorful, steak is cooked perfectly. Staff is warm and friendly. Take the time out and go visit Franks with your loved ones. Make some damn memories! My father-in-law never likes to go out eating. Now all he talks about is Franks. Will be visiting again soon!
Was recommended here by cousin and I have to say 1000% worth the drive from westchester. I cannot say enough great things not only about the food but the staff as well. Did the steak & lobster tail that was out of this world! Plus the rainbow cake dessert was so delicious, was the perfect note to finish an amazing dinner on. Huge shoutout out to Chris for coming by thought out the night to ensure our experience was top notch. Oh and the decor on the ceiling an back wall are great touch for perfect photo opp. Will be going back asap
Just have to take a moment to rave about Frank’s steaks in Rockville Centre for our son’s baptism yesterday. Chris was amazing to work with. The food, staff and service were absolutely top notch and we will be returning. They even kept up Xmas decorations for us at my crazy request. Couldn’t say enough nice things about hosting an event here. Our guests are still messaging us about how wonderful the event was. Definitely worth checking out 🥰
What a great place, the food is amazing and the staff is very attentive despite being very busy. Chris, Alex and John took great care of our table. Down to earth staff that was quite entertaining made a great evening and got us food quickly because we were starving. The Applewood Bacon Slab was even better than it sounds, definitely a must have, it was great with the Iceberg wedge salad. The Porter House for two was an excellent choice cooked perfectly and the sides were great especially the French Fried Onions because I don't normally eat fried foods. The potatoes were good but the sauteed spinach was better than I remembered. I never thought I would order chicken but my friend did and it was the best chicken I've probably ever had. I ate way more than I normally do, so much so I couldn't even have coffee. Prices were reasonable, I've paid more and didn't have as much of a good time at more expensive steak houses. I saw negative reviews about the food and service but in all of the times I've been there I didn't see or experience any of that. Definitely worth checking out.
Went here for a birthday dinner. Picked this based on reviews and area and we were not disappointed. This was the best steak house I have ever been to. I will note that I’ve been to one of the well- known ones and was not impressed. I love that this is family owned as I fully support small business. The food was both plentiful, delicious and presented beautifully - all equally important to me. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.
You can tell the food is high quality. The food and service was perfect. For appetizers, we had the calamari and crab cakes. Both of these items were awsome and would highly recommend. For entrées, we had two Cowboy Garlic Rib Steaks, which was fantastic. There was not to much fat and was tender. We also had the chicken Ala Hugo, which was very good as well. The creme spanish and the roasted garlic potatoes puffs was delicious. The food is expensive, but worth it. There are good sized portions.
Frank's Steaks RVC ❤️ I frequent here often & help out when needed. Sitting at the bar, outside, or the dining rooms are all a pleasant experience. I have only excellent things to say about the food & employees (which most have been working here for 10+ years). They are one big family and so welcoming to all. The owner Chris is an amazing person and so passionate about the business. He is also great and flexible to work with to book parties, any size small or large. I admire how much he makes an effort to support local businesses by having different food & drink specials from Long Island & all of NY. 🍷 Most dressings and desserts are made in house - cheesecake, apple cobbler, chocolate mousse, blueberry cobbler, oreo cheesecake, etc 🤤 I will be heading there tonight 🥰👏🏼 I’m grateful they are open 7 days a week
Appetizers and dessert were delicious. Our server was amazing, very attentive. It was still decorated magically for the holidays, which was a treat. We had our young child dining with us and the hostess sat us right next to the beautiful Xmas tree so she could dine in the glow of it, which was really thoughtful.
Me and my friends frequent Franks because we love their filet and the services are great! There are times this place is jammed packed so reservation is recommend.
They had the place decorated up for Valentine's Day and it was very nice. Bartender was great. The food on the other hand, was disappointing. The wedge salad tasted great and the presentation was okay. The peppercorn ribeye was a horrible piece of meat. It was a shame because it was cooked perfectly and The Taste was great but the quality of meat was just so subpar it was disappointing. When I went to brunch there I really enjoyed it. I think I'll stick to brunches there.
Great food and service. Ordered the Romanian skirt steak and we were pleased with the meal. My husband ordered the Father’s Day special and he was very satisfied with his choice. Kids menu has a good selection, nice dining decor and ambiance. Valet parking. Clean bathrooms. Best for family dining.
We had a reservation for 9:30 and arrived 5 minutes early. Upon arrival there was a long line of people who also had reservations and were waiting awhile to be seated. I had to personally give my name to the blonde lady at the front otherwise she wouldn’t even have checked me in. I jokingly said I guess reservations mean nothing and she responded in a serious tone no they do not. Luckily we were seated by 9:55 so I’ll take the 30 minute wait vs an hour+ some others had to wait. Our server wasn’t very attentive and only came by our table maybe twice all night. What made up for it was the food, ambiance of the establishment and the owner personally apologizing for the wait. He was also kind enough to give my gf a rose when asked. I would’ve easily had given this place 5* had it not been for the wait time to be seated and server. My gf and I left full plus the prices were reasonable. Thanks
Food was very good. Steak, cheeseburger, ribs...all good. But get ready to pay. But I guess you get what you pay for . Service wasn't all that great. Very slow. But it was father's day so maybe they were busy. It didn't look it though. All in all a great Steak house.
Great steakhouse in rvc. I booked a reservation for Father's Day and took my husband. The staff are incredibly nice. Our server gave us the option of specials or the regular menu. We went for the bacon appetizer special but ordered from the regular menu for entrees. I had the salmon and my husband had the skirt steak. He said the steak was delicious. I had their signature coconut martini which was delicious! My salmon was okay. We also ordered the potato puffs as a side. Overall the restaurant is really nice.
We were celebrating a birthday here, it was a large party of 10, we were sat in the middle of the large room with a beautifully large chandelier above the round table. I love it when a place has specials and Frank's had some good ones this week. Since it was close to St. Patty's Day, they had corned beef rolls. So good! They also had thick bacon cuts(tasted more like ham). Anyway this is a steakhouse and I got the King Henry filet mignon. It was a lot of filet mignon (12oz) with mushrooms and bacon on top, unfortunately instead of medium rare it came out medium well, with only the middle being pink. These things happen with a large party that includes kids. It was tasty, but I had to use the sauce to keep the bites moist. Others had lamb chops, or a full rack of ribs or lobster tail with skirt steak. Service was fantastic, water glasses and drinks were attentively looked after. I will come back here for a 2nd more tentative review, hopefully the steak melts in my mouth next time.
The food was delicious and great service. I would recommend this place who is looking somewhere nice and elegant to go. It's a bit pricey but worth it and the atmosphere is wonderful. I would visit again. I ordered the chicken tyrioki with mash potatoes and it was well done and delicious.
We went for brunch today, the service is always very pleasant, but this was the second time it was very slow. It’s nice not being rushed, but waiting an hour before food to come is a bit much. My boyfriend had stacked pancakes with strawberries, very good. I had eggs Benedict with spinach. The eggs really had no flavor, then realized the Hollandaise sauce was on the side, put it on but unfortunately was watery and had spices, also vinegary. Potatoes were delicious. Next time I’ll get something different.
Have not been here in 20 yrs. I recall why. Food, service, atmosphere are all somewhat above average if I could use that as a comparison to other steak house’s. That’s the good part. Pricing…..way way way out of line with others. Charging Manhattan prices for a middle island restaurant. Even for RVC standards, this is above where they should be by about $20-$25 on all entrees.. Again food was above avg. Not that much above. For local steak house and not wanting to drive to Northern Blvd, it’s a convenient choice, but expect to pay as if you did drive to Northern Blvd.
First of all… what is with the fake flowers all over the walls and ceiling? The decor is truly dated, and while that may be nostalgic, ripped leather should be repaired and vents should be dusted! We also we batting away gnats! I ordered a pomegranate cosmo - extremely strong and not enjoyable. Got the peppercorn rib eye medium- was slightly over cooked. Paired with a baked potato that was just that. Service was good, our waiter was pleasant. Definitely wouldn’t come back.
Love the atmosphere in this place! It's outdated but in the best possible way, old fashioned red leather bankette. Warm and quiet. I have been to too many restaurants that are beautiful but all the hard surfaces reflect the sound around the room. Food was good I would not recommend the skirt steak it was not the "Best on the Planet". Loved the feel, waiter was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meal, except me.
I visited this steakhouse last night and found the experience to be quite mixed. The steaks were perfectly cooked, and the French fries were the stars of the night. However, the meat quality was very low and lacked any meaty flavors. The place had an unpleasant, old smell that detracted from the dining experience. The service was minimal and lacked genuine care, which was disappointing. In terms of value for money, it was horrible. Overall, despite the well-cooked steak and excellent fries, I wouldn't go back.
I'm going there for many years, but the service definitely fell off. The food was tasty however it took over an hour to come out. Not because of the crowd but our order was overlooked. And this was not a big party, it was a table for two. Simple stuff With no apology from the manager or the waiter. I was very disappointed. When going just be mindful of the time spent and keep on the waiters back about bringing out the food. It made for an awkward dinner for two
This place is mediocre at best and way overpriced. My girlfriend and I went for the first time and both started off with their recommended most popular cocktail which was the toasted coconut martini. Great concept but extremely weak. Barely tasted any alcohol. Then we had their cajun calamari. This was absolutely disgusting and extremely chewy. Obviously, from frozen calamari. No tentacles and uniform rings. We both had the ribeye, which was just ok and bland. Creamed spinach and the mashed potatoes were just ok as well. Service seemed rushed as we spent over $300 with tip and were out in under 1 hr. I also found it funny that on the receipt, they base their suggested tip percentages with the amount tip including tax, which is not supposed to be. Tip is based on pre-tax. Last time I go there. For these prices, go to any other high end steak house and get better food, service, and atmosphere for the same price
Been here a few times. Frankly for what they charge you can do much better. Ive never liked the way they cooked thier steaks and the inside is old for the most part and falling apart / water stained in other parts. Which if the steak was great you wouldnt care. Its not. The service has always been fine and is not an issue.
I’ve been wanting to try Frank’s steaks for a while, and when I finally did, I was disappointed! If I’m spending that much money on dinner, it better be good!! First the atmosphere and decor is old and dingy. They have a wall where they sell jewelry??? The dining tables are next to the bar area and it was loud so you can’t even have a nice conversation without yelling to be heard! Now for the food… The dinner rolls are old and they heat them in the microwave so if you don’t eat it right away they become hard as a rock!! The asparagus ends were hard like straw and although the porterhouse steak was flavorful, it was probably the toughest steak I have ever eaten!! I’ve gotten more tender steak from a diner for a fraction of the price. I will not go back.
The hostess greeted us upon entering an empty restaurant with “can I help you?” What do I look like I’m doing here besides trying to dine here? She went on to ask if I had a reservation and claimed she could accommodate us. Furthermore, there was a roach on the table next to us where another family was dining. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing and asked my husband to help. Sadly, I will not be returning to this establishment!
I have always loved Frank's Steaks, but the quality at the place has declined. The food was mediocre at best, but they charge steakhouse prices, which I would proudly pay for better quality. The place looks so dated and needs a revamping very badly. The bathroom was filthy when I used it and it was not busy at all. In fact, being more than half empty on a Saturday night should have been a clue for me to run. Most positive thing I can say is that my server was great and attentive.
We came in the day after Valentine’s Day it was not busy. The waiter was just a bit off. He brought an item which we requested well done on the grill.(split baked potato) it wasn’t! He took it back and 8 minutes later well into our meal he brought it back as requested. We ordered another glass of wine it took another 7-8 minutes… We brought it to his attention…. The waiter said hey I got 7 tables… wow not happy!
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We ordered the porterhouse for two and asked that it be medium well. It was very rare. I told the waiter it was my husband’s birthday and he nodded. Unfortunately for us the table next to us was having some sort of business dinner and they were extremely loud and boisterous. Not wanting to spoil the mood or ruin our celebration with my daughter who just flew home, we said nothing about sending the steak back. My husband felt if we send it back it will wind up being overcooked. I decided to write this because in our entire lives of celebrating birthdays at restaurants, we have never experienced absolutely NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT whatsoever. We didn’t order dessert but why not bring a candle on anything just to acknowledge our special event? I won’t be going back to this restaurant again nor would I recommend.
UPDATE; there was no broken pipe! It was a lie. Let’s just say, I’ll never eat here. Customer service is also terrible Pretty upset. Made reservations online tonight to come in. Would have been our first time. Drove all the way there. To a sign on the door “closed due to a broken pipe” I understand the circumstances but should have gotten a phone call that our reservation was cancelled due to this.
I wish I could give this steakhouse a higher star rating but the service was horrible, the server we got was rude and dismissive. My drink was watered down and when I asked about it they said nothing was wrong with it. Server when serving kept stretching over us and our food. Was my first there, spent 300+. I am never going back and wouldn't recommend
Let's begin with what was good..... the steak, that's where it begins and ends. The atmosphere is old and worn with hideous decorations. The wine was sub par, the Cajun calamari was overcooked and came out so fast it must've been prepared way before and then threw in the fryer to warm it. We sent it back. The cream of spinach was like wall paper paste. And worst of all the rack of lamb (suppose to be med rare) was med well and had absolutely no flavor. Our waiter was nice enough, but we asked for a taste of wi e and got a full glass. He also seemed to be in a rush all the time, yet the restaurant was almost empty. The gentlemen from the kitchen who served the food looked miserable. I truly don't understand how they are still in business and getting good reviews at these prices! Unfortunately, we also sat next to a table of a family with three kids and grandparents who thought it was a playground.
When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, they told me a price that was significantly higher than what was on the menu on their website. When I brought that to their attention, they said, "prices have gone up and they have not updated their online menu yet." But I made the decision to buy the steak based on what I saw, so they should have honored that price.
Service was excellent and they were busy. My $76 dollar steak was overcooked and not medium-rare. The serve was excellent and gave us a discount in which I was pleased. However; the thick bacon appetizer gave both me and my colleague food poisoning and we have both been sick with diarrhea for 2 days. Will not be returning.
My bf and I had dinner here and the food was great. However I ordered a glass a of wine and when the waiter brought the glass to our table it was clearly not washed and had red stained lipstick stains around the rim from a previous customer. Even though we did enjoy our experience here apart from that incident I would not return because that makes me question what other unsanitary issues lies within this establishment.
The glasses, silverware, and plates were filthy. After showing the staff the couple seated right next told us a roach was crawling on our table with the customers before us, and the only reason they didn't leave was because they had their food already, which they said was mediocre. We left immediately. The manager claims they had a roach problem they've been trying to work on, however thats no excuse they should have shut down for a period of time instead of subjecting customers to that. Horrible experience, we'll never go there again.
If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Having been to Franks numerous times we had a reservation for 8:30pm on Valentines Day. Showed up at 8:15 and the line was out the door. Managed to check in and then stood in a freezing cold entryway with 30 other people. Waited until 9:30 and finally gave up. They made no effort to inform anyone about what was happening. None. Absolute disgrace. I doubt we will ever return to Franks. They should absolutely be ashamed of themselves.
My mother in law got 250.00 worth of gift certificates for her birthday in August & they closed down before she could use them & they aren't giving anyone's money back.
Disappointing experience at Frank's Steakhouse in RVC – Poor Service & Unprofessional Management My first visit to **Frank's Steakhouse** in Rockville Centre was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the manager’s attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful, especially since we were not Caucasian. We had a reservation for five and when we arrived requested an increase to seven people. The manager was visibly upset and responded with, "I don’t care, this is not my business." The service was equally terrible—our server was inattentive, prioritizing other tables while neglecting ours. The table was unstable, causing another couple to spill their wine twice. Instead of properly cleaning the mess, a busboy used cloth napkins to wipe the floor instead of getting a mop. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, our food arrived extremely late, while tables seated after us were served first. The restrooms were poorly maintained, with watered-down hand soap and an overall lack of cleanliness. While the food quality was decent, it doesn’t make up for the awful service and unprofessional environment. This is nowhere near the level of top steakhouses like Peter Luger’s (Brooklyn/Great Neck), Gallagher’s (NYC), Delmonico’s (NYC), Prime House Steak & Sushi (Garden City), or Holstein’s (Ronkonkoma)—all of which provide exceptional service without discrimination. Frank’s Steakhouse needs serious improvement in both customer service and management professionalism. I would not recommend dining here if you expect a welcoming, high-quality steakhouse experience.
Frank's Steaks: A Dining Disaster From the moment we arrived, our experience at Franks Steakhouse was a comedy of errors, only it wasn't funny. Our initial encounter with the manager/host set the tone for the evening – rude and dismissive. A simple request to add two people to our reservation for five was met with a dismissive "I could care less" and a visibly annoyed demeanor. More people mean more business, right? Not a concept they seemed to grasp. Once seated at a rickety, wobbly table (we weren't the only ones with this issue; another table actually toppled over – twice!), our server seemed to vanish into thin air. Despite arriving at 5:45 pm and ordering around 6:15 pm, our food didn't arrive until an hour later. A packed restaurant might justify this delay, but Franks was far from full. When our steaks finally did arrive, the temperatures were all wrong. Our rare and medium steaks were cooked to medium and medium-well, respectively. The bone-in cuts were charred, bordering on burnt, a clear sign of poor cooking techniques. While the steaks still tasted decent, the presentation was subpar, especially considering the price point (take a look at the pictures). For what they charge, Franks should invest in more skilled chefs. The drinks were equally disappointing. Our spritz, margarita, and chocolate martini were all watered down, the cheap liquor leaving a bitter aftertaste. The "lemonade" tasted suspiciously like Minute Maid, overly sweet with barely a hint of lemon. In short, Franks Steakhouse is an establishment best avoided. Save your money and your appetite for a dining experience that doesn't leave you feeling ripped off and disappointed. There are plenty of other steakhouses out there that actually value their customers and serve quality food and drinks. Don't make the same mistake we did.
