Best apple fritters around! Really like the jalapeno pig in a blanket too!

Very close by where I live. Staff were always nice , good variety of donuts and also economical. Their popcorn is very good too. Opens very early in the morning @5am, open till 2pm noon. Ample parking lot and is always avaialble. This year is their diamond jubilee too, 75 years and running. This has become kind of landmark around this part of city.

I used to live in that area for years. I would eat those donuts quite a bit they were always delicious, fresh and hot. I went the other day after a few years. The young lady at the counter was cheery,polite and helpful. The donut I got was fresh and delicious.

The employees are very friendly. Great donuts , apple fritters , popcorn and today I tried the tacos. Very impressed. The beef fajita and chicken tacos were great. And at a good price.

I grew up in Oak Cliff and have been coming here since the 90s. The cinnamon rolls and apple fritters are my favorite. They're so good that I now live in Forney and make the trip almost every weekend.

The popcorn is so good..... and the big quesadillas have tons of meat and make really good leftovers so I buy two they are 8$ each and worth it. And I love their little 1.50$ snow cones.

Lone Star donuts is a vintage gem. I love that it hasn’t been modernized at all. The donuts are really great! I felt like the quality and the price and the friendly service were unmatched. Best donut shop in Texas hands down.

I passed up 3 downtown dallas donut shops because they looked horrid before finding thiss one. And I am glad I did so! Lonestar Donuts will not disappoint you. Great donuts, very clean, and the worker that served me was friendly, professional and very sweet! Price was good as well. Go see them. I will 100% definitely return here on any more trips to DFW. And it is just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown Dallas!

They're back! The Lone Star Donuts Jellyrolls are better than ever! If you have never had one may I suggest you get your butt down there and get you one or two! Highly recommended by this old man

Staff are always friendly and welcoming here. Fresh donuts, feel fresh out of the fryer every day. It used to be just donuts and popcorn, good to see that now they have extended the selections to milk, soft drinks,juices, and cakes .. full bakery experience. They used to be open till 1-2 pm, now they are open till 4pm. The evening corn stand couple were also very polite and nice people.

I stop there at least once a week for donuts. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

I've driven by Lone Star Donuts for years and stopped in this morning at 7:30am to get coffee and donuts. I love how old (vintage?) the place is and I appreciate that it hasn't been updated in years which only adds to the nostalgic charm. However, I'd hoped the donuts would be warm, perhaps hot because they were so fresh. At 7:30am, they were room temperature. Fresh, sure, but not made that morning if I had to guess. Either way, LSD is really cool place with a great selection of donuts that are reasonably priced. I'd love to come back when the donuts are warm. 😊

I thought this was a late night donut shop and I was stoked. I had my heart set on lonestar donuts. When we walked in there was a man at a pop up counter selling $10 cake in a jar. Since I was in there I felt bad and had to support his small business. Very disappointing since I had my heart set on donuts! Will return during donut hours lol

I love this iconic spot glad their hours are back to being reasonable. The pastries never disappoint. That popcorn could make me do something strange...lol

Lone Star Donuts has been around nearly my whole life. I knew there would be wonderful donuts before Sunday School at Cliff Temple when I was a child. It used to always be open whenever we drove by there. SO GLAD to learn it will soon be getting back to more normal operations. I've missed being able to get a fritter or cinnamon roll whenever the urge struck. The ones I got today were superb!

Service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately the glazed donuts I purchased at 615 am tasted dry as if they were from yesterday. The pig in the blanket was the same.

I'm sad that the warehouse has closed down.....it wasn't a variety of pastries, donut, and burritos like normal.... I just got to cinnamon rolls that was fresh and some powdered sugar donuts. This place has been around for year's and now it's pretty empty.

Unfortunately the food was very cold, I went at 6:30 am so fairly soon after they opened. And the taste was just not good, not fresh. Bummer since it’s close to where I live.

I had the chicken Temales 1/2 dozen for 14.59 which was a lot for half a dozen. The chicken had a good flavor profile, however there was entirely too much masa and the masa was flavorless. The masa and meat ratio was totally off. I do not recommend these. I will try the pork Temales they sell some other time to see if those are better but these were a waste of time and money.

Their donuts Used to always be freshly made and the bite was always a soft bite but ever since they've changed their hours and days of being opened it hasn't been the same. Especially since they've stop the donut production there, all of the donuts are now prepackaged and they don't have the fresh taste anymore. 😤 😔

The donuts are good. The tacos are great. The tamales are nasty. There is no meat in it.. no flavor at all..

Do not recommend! I visited on 4/19/2023. I was in line to order, the older woman in the pink shirt helped the customer behind me and when I spoke up I was ignored. The others at the counter did not speak up or take control of the situation. This was an embarrassing situation and I can understand maybe confusion on the employees part, however no one working there spoke up or addressed issue. I live in the area and have been there several times without any issues. I have reached out by phone, no answer, only an outdated voicemail that says the company is closed. Sent a message on Facebook messenger requesting a callback. No response. I can’t believe a business cannot be easily contacted or take feedback to address issues. I’ll make sure no longer recommend this business in the future due to lack of communication and an unacceptable experience.

I'm 57 years old and I grew up eating these donuts, but I purchased some yesterday and they were rock bottom. They use to be light and fluffy, not any more. The best thing is the popcorn.

This place isn’t cutting it. Maybe the tacos will give them a reason to stick around. If you’re looking for good donuts please go to Kim’s up the street.

These donuts and pig and a blanket were awful that I got this morning. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT recommend. Wouldn’t feed that to my dog. I was upset that I even stood in line, and I love donuts. Disgrace to all donuts around not sure if it was just a bad day, but never again. Oh and do not be fooled by the appearance of the long big and the blanket, yes the bread looks good but it is not. The pig and the blanket was also the worst of those I’ve ever tasted as well. I really wanted a refund, if I wasn’t already late for work, I definitely would’ve have gotten one. NOT SURE WHO IS SAYING THESE ARE DELICIOUS OR WHAT DAY THEY ARE GOING ON BUT DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU. Spent almost $20, not cool at all!

I’ve been buying donuts from here since I was a young girl, I remember when you could get them hot off the line. I was so excited to know that they had reopened, but so disappointed with the quality of the donuts. The donuts were only glazed on one size, the breakfast burritos weren’t that tasty either. I will give them a little more time and try again. Please improve the quality of your product. Thanks

I recently made a purchase at this establishment, and to my shock and deep disappointment, the amount charged to my card did not match what was printed on my receipt. What’s most unsettling is that the receipt reflected the price I approved — only for the final charge on my bank statement to be mysteriously higher by $2.50. It may not seem like much at a glance, but if it’s happening to others too, it adds up quickly — and that’s unacceptable. I don’t know how many times this may have happened without me noticing, and that’s what hurts the most. I’m a hardworking mother, careful with where and how I spend my money, and I trusted this place to treat me fairly. That trust has now been broken. To feel like your money is being quietly taken after a transaction is complete is not only frustrating — it’s violating. What’s even more upsetting is the lack of accountability. I expected better from a business that operates in our community. Integrity matters. And when the staff doesn’t uphold it, it reflects on the entire establishment. So this is where I draw the line. I will no longer support this business, and I encourage others to pay very close attention to their receipts and bank statements if they choose to shop here. As for me, I refuse to spend another dollar in a place where honesty isn’t part of the service. DONT USE DEBIT CARDS IF U HAVE TO SHOP HERE CASH ONLY.
