Sono stato più volte in questo ristorante e tutte le volte mi sono trovato benissimo, ottima qualità del cibo e cortesia del personale. Offrono una varietà di pietanze, dalla pizza al pesce, ottima anche la pasta. L'attesa per il cibo non é stata molta nonostante il ristorante era pieno. Consiglio vivamente per un pasto ottimo e al giusto prezzo!

A differenza di quei postacci al centro, in cui cercano di obbligarti a mangiarci, questo è un vero Ristorante Romano Doc, nei pressi del Mausoleo di Augusto, l’Ara Pacis e Via del Corso, non troppo in vista ed attualmente penalizzato dai lavori in corso. Dopo due anni e mezzo ci siamo ritornati con piacere, Bombolotti all’Amtriciana sempre sublimi, forse un pochino crudi di cottura, Saltimbocca saporitissimi (1 porzione diviso 2), con due acque da 0,70, e 2 caffè , in totale 62 euro per due persone, nel centro di Roma, è un ottimo prezzo, sopratutto per la qualità del Cibo. Camerieri simpatici, si sente l’atmosfera di Roma.

Non è la prima volta che con gli amici ci organizziamo per una cena in questo ristorante ed è sempre una bellissima serata tra buonissimi piatti, ottimi vino e servizio eccellente. Lo consiglio anche per la posizione strategica per una piacevole passeggiata al centro di Roma prima o dopo cena.

Fragrante, leggera e colorata. Quando la fantasia incontra la bontà – senza tralasciare la simpatia e la gentilezza del proprietario e del suo staff -. Una pizza così buona – nulla a togliere ai napoletani, ben si intenda – mai mangiata! Altrettanta soddisfazione anche per gli altri piatti. Ottima inoltre la location: una terrazza in pieno centro, eppure in una posizione capace di regalare un pranzo in assoluta serenità e piacere. “Ara pacis La capricciosa”, consigliatissima, torneremo!

A real Italian restaurant with polite staff and great food. Eat in or our under umbrellas. I ate the linguine with black truffle which was certainly in the top 3 dishes of the week. Not far from over busy restaurants and Spanish steps either.

No idea where the negative reviews come from but maybe these are a reflection of difficult and picky clients (really). To find this classic Roman gem off the main touristic haunts and on a quiet square is rare in this packed city. Staff were professional and friendly, no pushing or taking away cutlery. We had ravioli with spinach and ricotta and spaghetti vongole, not earth shattering but no issues. Highly recommend and be nice to the staff.

The food is delicious and the table's service is very kind and polite, especially Ermal, an albanese "buona gente" Who looks like Jhonny Deep. Me and my cousin randomly stumbled upon this place last night. We haven’t been having the best experience in rome but this restaurant was able to change that in the best way possible. The waiter (shoutout to the dark haired Albanian) was soooo nice and funny. He was like a diamond in the rough and actually changed our perspective on the people/attitudes there. We want to thank him from the bottom of our hearts. On top of that, the food was really good. I highly recommend the ravioli.

3 trips to Rome, 6 meals at La Capricciosa. Family business, warm attentive service. not afraid to make recommendations on food and/or wine and never steer me wrong. I’ve brought friends, family and work associates and all give rave reviews. Cute “on street” outdoor dining - get the vibe of the city but still feel you’re in the restaurant. Classic Roman hospitality!

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant from the moment our group of 8 stepped in, even without a booking. Most of restaurants we attended in Rome weren't happy to welcome a large group, but La Capricciosa did it wonderfully. Highlight to the costumer service, especially our waiter Ermal. The food was great! All adults and children were delighted with the whole experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The reviews on Google do not reflect the experience our whole family just had. Waiter was attentive, funny and helpful. The food was decent and wine was good. But honestly the best part was our service and for that reason I just don’t agree with all the negative reviews.

Let me first say that I find it difficult to believe the negative reviews I have been reading. Every dining occasion, whether it was my spouse and I or my entire family, has been a delightful experience. The staff and owner have always been warm and welcoming to me and my family. Whenever we visit Rome, as I recall has been at least times, I make it a point to have dinner here. The food has consistently been excellently prepared and delicious. I have dined in restaurants throughout Rome and chose Ara Pacis to be my favorite. As for complaints with the staff, treat them with respect and you will be treated with respect in return.

I have been in Italy for the past ten days and I tried many restaurants during my stay. This is one of the best Italian Restaurants that I ever tried. Pasta , Salmon and pizza.

Nella calura del mezzogiorno romano a luglio, un angolo di serenità e refrigerio. Abbiamo preso la pizza, buona. Nel menù anche piatti della tradizione romana e non solo. Personale gentile, educato e veloce. Lo consiglio perché i prezzi sono buoni considerando la zona ma soprattutto non sono i classici "butta dentro" acchiappa turisti che rifilano sole. Infatti c'erano a mangiare anche romani e un gruppo di lavoranti di uno slot pubblicitario

Menù non eccezionale ma di buona qualità. Ambiente tranquillo, sia all'aperto che all'interno, lontano dalle folle turistiche. In linea generale è sempre possibile trovare un posto per mangiare.

Pizza was great. Not sure about the other negative reviews. The place and wait staff are efficient but dont rush you, they're friendly. We ordered two draft beers, the caprese salad and a pizza to share. We ordered the quattro segario pizza without salami to make it vegetarian and it was no trouble. Super delicious and fresh. The mozzarella on the caprese salad was also delicious. Not the cheapest when you order drinks but food was reasonably priced considering the area. Would come back :)

A cena con gruppo di amici abbiamo preso antipasti misti fritti, ma la pastella era un po' spessa. Preso inoltre per me un piatto di alici fritte, purtroppo troppo secche e dure. Sicuramente scegliere delle pizze sarebbe stato meglio.

Pizza nella norma. Personale svogliato per quel che mi riguarda. Mi sono recata alla toilette mentre il mio compagno aspettava fuori al tavolo i piatti ordinati e, scendendo, vedendo ovunque la dicitura FREE WI-FI/WI-FI ZONE, ho chiesto gentilmente la password del Wi-Fi a un cameriere dietro al bancone bar. La risposta è stata, senza neanche buongiorno o salve, " e seduta fuori? Beh sta scritta sul menù ". Mah. Ho dovuto intercettare un altro cameriere, richiedere il menù e farmelo portare apposta per leggere la semplice e ebreve password scritta ad inizio pagine. Per chiedere il conto tanti camerieri non indaffarati che però dovevano cercare quello che ci aveva serviti per poi consegnarci il conto. Vi era solo il nostro tavolo e un'altra coppia. Numero di camerieri visto circa 6. L ho trovato un po' strano. Alcuni camerieri disponibili ( nel limite ), altri si comportano come se ci stessero facendo un favore nel rivolgere la parola. Abbiamo mangiato due pizze discrete. I suppli ci sn stati portati dopo la pizza (...) Se si aggiungesse un tocco di cortesia in più sarebbe sicuramente apprezzabile.

Deceived. Pizza is bad and too salted. Vegetables are so-so. Service is slow. Only the terrace is nice. Prices are too high in regards to quality.

Locale antico tipico del centro storico di Roma. In 2 abbiamo preso un antipasto di prosciutto e mozzarella, poi una carbonara ed un carciofo alla romana con patate fritte. La mozzarella era vecchia e acidula. La carbonara con gli spaghetti quasi crudi ed il carciofo immangiabile per quanto era duro e pieno di spine. L'unica cosa passabile sono state le patate fritte. Cameriere molto scorbutico nonostante non avessimo detto nulla in merito alla qualità (pessima!) del cibo. Il tutto per la modica cifra di 46,00 euro. Locale da cancellare!!!

The service was awful and slow. The food was disgusting. We order grilled fillet with truffle and we got a filet with an awful sauce. The truffle was not fresh and the menu did not say anything about sauce. We ordered the fillets medium rare and we got is medium well done. Strongly suggest that this place is NOT worth a visit!!!!

the food was okay but the service was just horrible. it took them ages to bring us to our table and even longer to bring us the menu. we had to ask multiple times for everything and the waiters were so rushed that they basically threw the food at our table. i think for a restaurant of this size more staff would be needed. and also for the price range some of the food was simply not okay. the lasagna tasted good but it was nearly cold and the salad we ordered was just plain rucola, tomatoes and avocado slices without any oil or vinegar, which is simply a joke for 14€. we also ordered a drink which we had to ask for multiple times until they finally managed to bring it to our table... unfortunately it also seemed to us that they were particularly ignoring our table because they served the older couples on the tables next to us much more quickly and seemed to be more attentive all in all it sadly was the worst dining experience we had during our stay in rome

Very bad service, we did not get all of the food we ordered, and try writing down the orders instead of trying to remember them, no one cares. Pizza had to much cheese and was burnt and the food in the picture ( i forgot what it's called ) just tastes like cheese, and get some better chairs.
