Locale elegante, posto in una location strategica. Il servizio è veloce e decisamente professionale sia per i consigli gastronomici che per la scelta dei vini. Ogni piatto è preparato in modo magistrale con sapori decisi ma mai esagerati. Da provare i famosi tortellini alla bolognese, la guancia brasata e il maialino a lenta cottura. I costi sono elevati ma giustificano l'eccellente qualità espressa. TOP!!

This was a hard reservation for us to get prior to arriving to Rome. I wonder how easy would it have been to do a walk in. Anyway, the food was one of the best we had in Rome. Also, it didn’t feel touristy at all. At our lunch seating, everyone was speaking Italian. So glad we got to finally try it. Would def recommend.

We had an amazing evening at Dal Bolognese! Despite a mix-up with our reservation for 14 people, they still managed to accommodate us on the spot. As a kind gesture, they even offered us complimentary aperitivo glasses. The service was exceptional—funny, welcoming, and professional. At first, the atmosphere felt a bit stiff and quiet, but as more guests arrived, it became much more lively and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious! While it is on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth it for the experience of fine dining in Rome. Highly recommended!

We made last minute reservation, and make sure you do have one. First to seat. Our server was attentive. Food was really good! As you know Rome’s Resturant only have 4-5 pastas in their menus & Bolognese is not a staple item on most menus, thus going here. It was one the best Bolognese dishes I had in Italy (and wanted to go back the 2nd night but couldn’t walk anymore!) The dish had a balance of spices, meat and sauce and the pasta was cooked to perfection . The breaded veal was good and we had an appetizer of fried sardines. The tiramisu was ok, I make much better. Highly recommend it and go for Bolognese or Lasagna! Forgot! Do order just a plain salad! The fee is minimal however just the lettuce and few strands of carrots in Italy with the olive oil and a bit of vinegar tastes Devine!

I didn’t get a chance to take more pictures because I ate like there was no tomorrow. The appetizers, main dishes, Bolognese, and tiramisu were all scandalously delicious. The staff is also wonderful and polite, with excellent manners. You feel comfortable and fancy in this environment—and you leave 3-4 kg heavier. I absolutely recommend it.

Locale storico, molto elegante in una delle piazze più belle del mondo dove si respira il bel mondo. Servizio attento e professionale. E purtroppo punto. Il cibo è diventato molto scadente: gnocco fritto male, cotoletta alla milanese asciutta e per niente saporita, crème caramel brutto. Sconsigliato se si vuole mangiare bene.

Dal Bolognese on the Piazza del Popolo is well located for a lunch of people watching (as the name of the piazza suggests). We were seated on the terrace and were fascinated watching the maitre d’, wrapped in his cream double breasted blazer, perform a profiling excercise on hopeful diners wishing to secure a table for lunch. A customs officer would have been impressed! If you had a Dickensian plea about you, you would be summarily fobbed off. If you were able to extract some swagger from your Rolex you would be accommodated but only inside! A reservation of course yielded the prized location of the terrace! Predicting these outcomes was such fun! Moral of the story - always reserve a table - to save you unnecessary embarrassment when turned down. I ordered a veal Milanese which reflected the disdain the Romans have for the Milanese. Thankfully the accompaniment of cicoria saved the meal. The entertainment alone was worth the overpriced meal.

It is a vey nice classic style restaurant in a perfect location, Piazza del Popolo, where for ages people have regularly come to see and be seen. It is popular with the Roman high society, actors and artists, as well as lots of tourists. One would imagine that the appealing traditional menu offered here would guarantee a fantastic meal but sadly the food is mostly not up to what one would expect. In all sincerity it has never failed to disappoint me over the last 30 years! Locale storico che si affaccia su Piazza del Popolo. I prezzi sono abbastanza alti, una media di 15€per gli aperitivi, una media di 20€per un primo! La carta dei vini è inavvicinabile! Porzioni nella media. La qualità non è eccellente e non giustifica i prezzi, come non lo giustifica la location e il buon servizio. Abbiamo voluto provare vedendolo sempre pieno e a volte con personaggi famosi che siedono qui. Ma nulla di che! Meglio una buona e tipica Trattoria romana!

Ristorante con un’impostazione un po’ datata e spazi estremamente ridotti: i tavoli sono talmente ravvicinati da dare l’impressione di cenare insieme agli altri clienti. Il servizio è cortese e attento, ma la qualità della cucina e delle materie prime risulta piuttosto basica, senza particolari spunti né carattere. Sul fronte dei prezzi, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è decisamente sproporzionato: considerato l’ambiente angusto e la proposta culinaria modesta, le cifre richieste appaiono eccessive (emblematico un semplice calice di Cesanese del Piglio a 16 euro). Non sapevamo dove mettere i piatti. -paniere del pane con pane buonino (troppo sarebbe stato, sperare in quello fatto in casa) e un solo piccolo pezzetto di pizza per due -"carrello del bollito", la grandissima delusione, per il quale avevamo optato per questo un tempo famoso ristorante, sbagliando. Senza carrello e..... freddo!!!!. Servito in un piatto mediocre. Qualità e quantità mediocre. Con 2 salsette in linea e altrettanto mediocri. 38 euro a piatto grazie alla posizione in piazza del Popolo -vino rosso al bicchiere sfuso mediocre -2 carciofi, uno alla giudia e uno alla romana, mediocri e fibrosi. Non facciamo confronti minimi con la cucina di casa mia o di amici. -dolce.....avremmo voluto macedonia di frutta fresca oppure crema catalana o creme caramel o panna cotta.....ma non erano nel menù. I ordered the veal cutlet Milanese with white truffle, and what arrived was a hard, rubbery piece of meat that was impossible to enjoy. I tried a single bite, left the rest untouched, and informed the staff immediately. Despite this, they still charged me full price without hesitation. No apology, no alternative offered, nothing. For a place positioned as an upscale establishment, this felt more like an expensive trap than a proper dining experience. I would strongly advise avoiding it. There are far better options in Rome where service and food quality actually match the price!

Do yourself a favor, go next door. We arrived late into our hotel up the street at Goethe Hotel and were absolutely starving from our flight in from Madrid. We drove past this restaurant and immediately walked there after checking our bags. We were greeted by the rudest server/host who could have easily seated us as there were many tables open. It’s reservations only. Next door, Rosati welcomed us in late with no reservations needed. The food was AMAZING. The service was AMAZING. The deserts, amazing! We’ve been here 4 days and have easily spent over 2500 euro and lunch and dinner. Again!!! Go to ROSATI!! Thank me later. Avoid this place at all costs!
