Osteria a pochi passi dalla fontana di Trevi, un’esplosione di romanità fin da quando varchi la soglia…ambiente spartano in cui ti senti subito a casa, piatti abbondanti e saporiti, ma il vero valore aggiunto lo fa lo staff, competente, onesto, simpatico…romani veri…ci torneremo di sicuro
Esperienza TOP in tutti i sensi, ambiente tipicamente romano a 360 gradi, sia come qualità e quantità degli OTTIMI piatti serviti, sia come convivialità dei fantastici camerieri sempre sorridenti e super amichevoli, in special modo Davis che ci ha fatto divertire per tutte e tre le nostre serate romane!! Piatti tipici come carbonara, amatriciana, gricia, saltimbocca, polpette di vitella, ossobuco alla romana, e molti altri, si lasciano degustare innaffiati da ottimo vino, e cosa importantissima, si gode di ottima compagnia! Assolutamente consigliato anche per i prezzi onestissimi, e la posizione che manco a dirlo, è centralissima a due passi da Piazza di Spagna e Fontana di Trevi. Un vero punto di riferimento!

A passeggio per il centro di Roma, ci siamo imbattuti in questa Hostaria. Una piacevolissima sorpresa: personale molto accogliente e simpaticissimo, Devis è troppo forte🤣. Abbiamo preso bruschette miste e un fantastico carciofo alla giudia. Molto buoni anche i bucatini amatriciana e la pizza alla trasteverina. Ci torneremo sicuramente🤗
Il miglior posto di Roma 🧡❤️ sia per il mangiare sia per le splendide persone che ci sono dentro i proprietari splendidi . Uno tra questi in particolare è DEVIS non è più il cameriere, MA IL CAMERIERE DEL CUORE 💙... Il mio posto del cuore da 4 Anni , ogni volta che torno li è come casa ...che dire andate li e non vi pentirete Ps(molto ma molto mejo della famosa Sora Lella)
Siamo stati in questo ristorante in varie occasioni e negli anni ha confermato il livello, la qualità. Cibo ottimo, tempi di servizio buoni nonostante fosse affollato. Personale simpatico e gentile. L'unico neo maggior attenzione all'igiene delle toilette (utilizzabili, ma non perfette).
Erano quasi le 16 e dovevamo ancora pranzare, passeggiando per il Corso, abbiamo preso una stradina ed abbiamo notato questo ristorante-pizzeria. Entriamo e troviamo un locale molto accogliente, con personale attento e gentilissimo ed un cameriere molto simpatico. Velocissimi nel servizio, piatti ottimi ed abbondanti tipici della cucina romana. Niente piatti "disegnati" per ingannare l'occhio, ma piatti Veri con prezzi nella norma. Consigliatissimo. Sicuramente quando tornerò a Roma, un'altra visita sarà d'obbligo per gustare altre specialità.
Eravamo a Roma per una passeggiata turistica. In cinque. Fatta l'ora di pranzo, scegliamo un posto in cui fermarci per pranzare. Mai scelta fu più azzeccata. Entriamo da un piccolo ingresso e subito siamo immessi nella sala dove ci sono tavolini e gente che mangia. Però il cameriere si fa seguire per un corridoio stretto dove sbuchiamo in un'altra sala. Ho immaginato la scena di un gladiatore che percorreva i corridoi del Colosseo tra una cella e l'altra. Emozionante. Ci accomodiamo e subito il cameriere, Devis, inizia quella che per noi è stata una piacevolissima compagnia. È atato super nell'accoglierci e nel consigliarci, in base alle nostre esigenze, le varie portate. Fiori di zucca fritti ripieni con mozzarella ed alici e tris di bruschette. I primi con un gusto deciso e molto saporito. Non troppo pieni di olio. Perfetti. Una frittura da definire quasi leggera. Le bruschette, semplici, ma gustose lo stesso. Anche queat'ultime bisogna saper farle, basta poco per rendere il pane duro ed immangiabile, ancora meno da renderlo zuppo. Per i primi, invece, io ovviamente ho voluto assaggiare la cacio e pepe. Gli altri bucatini all'amatriciana e carbinara. Mia suocera invece ravioli con ricotta e spinaci. Per me, posso dire che è stata la miglior cacio e pepe assaggiata per ora in vita mia. Pasta fresca, cotta al punto giusto, e quel sugo denso e avvolgente mi hanno accompagnato fino alla fine. Per gli altri piatti ho fatto solo un assaggio dei bucatini, altrettanto buoni di cottura ed ottimo sapore. La carbonara e i ravioli, non hanno ricevuto commenti negativi. Si sono limitati a dire : una carbonara cosi non riuscirò mai a farla. Quindi test superato. Eravamo pieni per assaggiare un secondo. Abbiamo preso vari dolci, buoni ma nella media. Niente di eccezionale. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e segnato il luogo per un eventuale prossimo passaggio per Roma. Una nota più che positiva va al cameriere, perché come anticipato prima, ci ha messo completamente a nostro agio, giocando e scherzando con educazione ma soprattutto con professionalità. Su cinque stelline per il voto, ne aggiungerei un'altra mezza solo per lui. Complimenti.

Ho un unica parola per descrivere la mia esperienza qui: “Perfetto”. Locale situato in un punto strategico, a pochi passi da piazza di Spagna e fontana di Trevi, che offre piatti di tradizione romana, pizze e dolci. Eravamo lì di passaggio e abbiamo deciso di degustare alcuni piatti della cucina romana, accolti da camerieri cordiali e amichevoli, uno dei punti forti del locale. L’ambiente era ottimo, dispone di due sale molto ampie e pulite. Il servizio è stato molto veloce nel portarci le ordinazioni, e una volta provate siamo rimasti imbambolati dalla loro bontà, consiglio tanto la carbonara… semplicemente fantastica. I prezzi sono onesti considerando la posizione del locale, se vi trovate a Roma fate un salto qui e non ve ne pentirete.
Abbiamo cenato in questa osteria romana ed è stato tutto impeccabile! Piatti deliziosi, ambiente tipico ed accogliente, servizio veloce e cortese. Denis è stato simpaticissimo e ha reso la serata ancora più piacevole. Torneremo sicuramente!

Siamo stati qui per una cena in famiglia. La pasta, soprattutto la lasagna, era fantastica. Il personale è stato molto ospitale. È un posto che dovete assolutamente visitare se andate a Roma. Mandiamo i nostri saluti dalla Turchia al signore italiano che ci ha servito, parlava qualche parola di turco e aveva un amico di Ankara, così come allo chef e a tutto il resto dello staff. An fantastically friendly and welcoming atmosphere and great food that makes it feel like a big family style dinner. We tried several places around Rome on our visit and we had to come back here on the last night again. Pizza, pasta, starters, deserts and drinks were all amazing.
Hostaria la Scalinata is a proper hidden gem. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. We ate the Amatriciana, pesto pasta, calabrese pizza, and pecorino pasta. Every dish was spot on. Honest, comforting food, done right. But what really made this place special was Amedeo. He genuinely didn’t want us to leave. He treated us with so much warmth and love that it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home, not a restaurant. No rush, no pressure, just real hospitality. This place isn’t trying to be flashy or trendy. It just delivers excellent food and human connection, consistently. If you’re in Rome for a short time, don’t gamble your meals. Come here. We’ll be back next time, without question. Thanks to Amedeo and the kitchen for making it unforgettable.
Restaurant in the middle of a super crowded place. But when the door is closed, we can hardly hear the noise outside the door. The servers were to Italian senior men, who are very happy and jolly. That’s why the service was so good - they make it all like we are visiting their house and they are trying to make you happy. We weren’t that hungry so we had the bolognese and the carbonara - all Al dente and delish. You can ask for extra cheese and chili flakes. Place is full of tourists but it felt very Italian for us. Food and drinks portions are generous - we realize if you are friendly back to the hosts, they will be also friendly back to us! Completely recommended and I would definitely come here again!

We stopped by for a light meal before heading to our hotel, and we’re so glad we did. We were greeted by a very warm and welcoming gentleman, and the restaurant itself has a beautiful Italian atmosphere and charm. Our servers, both Italian—Davis and another gentleman whose name we unfortunately missed—were incredibly friendly, dedicated, and cheerful. They truly made our visit enjoyable. We shared a pizza with a thin crust—perhaps not the best we’ve had, but still very good—and enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine recommended by one of the servers. The highlight was the amazing homemade tiramisu. We really enjoyed our time here. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Recommend 1000%. I would come to Rome just to eat here again!!! We came 1.11.2025 around 12:00 🕛 ish.. (not quite sure what the time was exactly) We ordered carbonara and bolognese - great and tasty!! And we had a desert - chocolate profiteroles! 🥰❤️ thank you for your service!! Amazing service! Amazing food! We walked in off the street and we're welcomed in with a smile. The place filled up pretty quickly. We were lucky to be seated. The authentic Italian cuisine was delicious! We enjoyed every bite! Great atmosphere and the service was over the top! Highly recommend it!!!

Hands down the best pizza we had in Rome. Came here twice! Their house red is fantastic!! We also tried the calzone and Bolognese, both also delicious. Service is great these guys know how to run a restaurant! I give it a one bite 9.6!!!
We were a party of 5 and had an amazing time here. It felt cozy and the service was so nice. This was our first dinner arriving in Rome for our 2 week trip through Italy and Greece. We kept referring back to this restaurant having the best experience and how their food was so delicious. Especially the chicken with the roasted peppers sauce, so YUM!

can we say about tonight’s dinner? It was so much more than just a meal—it was a truly unforgettable Roman experience. We enjoyed a spread of delicious appetizers, classic Amatriciana and Carbonara pastas, and perfectly toasted bruschetta, accompanied by a few flavorful sides. Every bite was packed with authentic taste and tradition. Our waiter, Davis, made the evening even more special. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also had us laughing throughout the night. His charm and energy added so much to the experience. As in the old saying "All roads lead to Rome", if you are in Rome, your roads should lead you to this place. Very conveniently located, just minutes from Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain, Hostaria la Scalinata is a true hidden gem! Don't waste your time trying to find anything else, the place offers the most amazing, authentic Italian food you can only dream of! We ended up coming back almost every night we spent in Rome. Our server, Amedeo, was absolutely incredible, he made us feel so welcome every time, it truly felt like we were are visiting our family. The food is incredible, every bite is like a symphony in your mouth. Everything in their menu is fantastic, but their burrata appetizer, carbonara, lasagna, pizza, meatballs, and grilled meats are simply incredible! The desserts are amazing too! Not to mention their house wine and their limoncello, hands down the best in Rome! If you live in Rome and can visit them any time, I envy you. If you are in Rome for a short visit, then you only have a limited amount of days to try amazing, true Italian cusine - don't waste these days on other places! Stopped in for a late lunch after a long day walking around the city. We had the fried artichoke which was just ok, delicious prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella appetizers. Had an amazing carbonara sauce and my wife had homemade pasta with cacio e pepe sauce. We shared a desert I can’t remember. Highly recommend.

Il ristorante si presenta molto bene e accogliente. Il menù è esposto fuori ma hanno comunque dei piatti del giorno che verranno presentati una volta accomodati al tavolo. Siamo stati in questa osteria per un pranzo veloce prima di avventurarci per Roma. Abbiamo deciso di prendere quindi un antipasto a testa e un piatto di pasta più l’acqua per stare leggeri. Per un totale di 50€ circa Come antipasti abbiamo scelto il carciofo fritto alla giudea, molto buono, morbido e saporito accompagnato per nostra scelta ad una focaccia croccante, in aggiunta abbiamo deciso di assaggiare i crosti con il lardo, anche questi molto buoni e gustosi. Come prima di pasta, abbiamo optato per una pasta cacio e pepe classica e una proposta del giorno, la pasta alla romana. La cacio e pepe si è presentata con una cottura giusta e una salsa gradevole, purtroppo la pasta alla romana non è stata di nostro gradimento ed abbiamo fatto molta fatica a finirla era eccessivamente unta, con il guanciale bollito e non croccante che ha influito sulla nostra impressione del piatto. Personalmente non consiglio il piatto se non si è abituati a gusti particolarmente forti e intensi. Servizio mooooooolto veloce, dettato probabilmente dal fatto che nella sala ci fossero pochi tavoli. Il locale si sviluppa comunque con più salette che si snodano verso l’interno.
Caratteristica osteria romana sia nel locale che nelle ottime pietanze. Ottima la qualità del prodotto : consiglio vivamente i primi classici romani e fantastico il semifreddo al torroncino. Complimenti Lo consiglio vivamente

It would have been a 5, but I cut my hand on glass that wasn’t cleaned up properly, which ruined my meal. The server was nice, and he apologised. The food was hot and came out freshly made, and the portion size was big and satisfied hunger. We brought a delicious dessert, and no crumbs were left :). The toilets are spotless. Overall pleasant experience (-the incident) . The bill did take 25 minutes to come.
We have Pasta with seafood, pasta with clams and a draft beer. The seafood was fresh and was impressive. Everything is good but I won’t say it’s the best, so 4 out of 5 stars.
Great dining experience! The food was good, but what really made it stand out was the amazing atmosphere and exceptional service. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and added a personal touch that made us feel like we were part of the family. Tonnarello pomodoro e basilico non male così anche le fettuccine alla gricia. Il locale carino, prezzi non altissimi e piatti abbondanti. Il cameriere ha dei modi un po' freddi ma mai scortese.
Solo per turisti di fretta. Abbiamo mangiato in tre, ci hanno accorto con i due cani e non è scontato, cibo però nella media, pecca il servizio, il cameriere era spesso al tavolo a chiedere di ordinare, i piatti sono arrivati tutti insieme qualche minuto dopo l’ordinazione, le tazzine del caffè rimosse un secondo dopo aver finito di berlo, il locale (almeno nella prima sala) mezzo vuoto. Volevamo rilassarci un attimo dopo aver girato per Roma tutta mattina ma ci siamo sentiti pressati tutto il tempo per le ordinazioni e per il ritiro dei piatti.
Esperienza purtroppo negativa per quanto riguarda il servizio. Il cameriere ha iniziato a prendere le ordinazioni, ma si è distratto andando da altri tavoli senza terminarle. Ha poi lasciato il POS sul nostro tavolo e, quando è tornato a riprenderlo, non ha comunque concluso la presa delle ordinazioni continuando a fare altro. Quando lo abbiamo richiamato per chiedere almeno dell’acqua, ci ha detto che non avevamo ancora ordinato. Alla nostra risposta affermativa ha insistito nel dire di no; solo dopo aver controllato il taccuino si è accorto di aver segnato un solo piatto. A quel punto ha finalmente completato l’ordinazione. Situazione confusa e poco professionale, che ha reso l’attesa inutilmente lunga e il servizio poco attento.
