Ho avuto il piacere di cenare in questo ristorante nel centro di Roma, a due passi da via degli Spagnoli, e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole. La carbonara al tartufo è semplicemente strepitosa: sapori intensi ma equilibrati, con ingredienti di qualità e una presentazione curata. Anche il servizio è stato impeccabile: personale gentile, attento e disponibile senza essere invadente. L’ambiente è molto accogliente, elegante ma con un tocco familiare che ti fa sentire subito a tuo agio. Tornerò sicuramente e lo consiglio a chi cerca una cucina romana con un tocco di originalità nel cuore della città.

Mangiato divinamente in questo ristorante nascosto, un vero gioiellino all'aperto in centro sotto al rampicante, sembrava che il tempo si fosse fermato! Cibo ottimo e ben presentato, buone bollicine alla mescita, servizii cortese, attento e soprattutto preparato. Prezzi onesti per la qualità offerta. Menzione speciale per Veronica!

Best meal in Rome so far, on day 3. Just a few tables on a peaceful cobbled street corner only a stone’s throw from the chaos, friendly staff - and the food was just superb. Daily special of gnocchi with beef ragu 5 stars. Truffle carbonara 5 stars. Four of us left very happy. The perfect find.

We had one of the best lunches of our Rome trip at Il Bacaro, a quiet gem tucked away just off Piazza Navona. Despite visiting during one of the busiest weeks in the city (a Jubilee Year, the Pope’s funeral, and Liberation Day), this place was a peaceful escape with incredible food and an unforgettable wine. We happened to visit just as they were prepping a pairing menu and had the chance to briefly chat with their sommelier and a winemaker from Tenuta Iacoangeli—whose red wine became the highlight of our meal. (We even took two bottles home!) The dishes were fresh, seasonal, and confidently Roman, and the service was gracious and unhurried. Il Bacaro feels like the kind of place you want to keep to yourself, but they absolutely deserve the spotlight. Can't wait to visit again!

The location is very nice and intimate. We has pasta: carbonara and specialty pasta with pesto and tuna tartar and for antipasti we served carpaccio. The desert was different and really glad i had a diferent type of tiramisu. Really recomand the place!

When we asked about how they prepare the funghi porcini we noticed how knowledgeable the waiter was. The question, are they good? He replied, definitely because I am preparing your meal. Tbe staff, in this case the son, was happy to help and choose the perfect wine to pair with your meal. Overall, Il Bacaro is an excellent choice for a delicious and authentic Italian meal. The food is superb funghi porcini and the white truffle pasta were top notch, and the service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Il Bacaro to anyone looking for a special dining experience in a cosy small place in Rome. Here are some specific dishes that I recommend: Funghi porcini If they are available. They are made in the pan with simple ingredients like olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper, basta. White truffle pasta, delicious Tiramisu Il Bacaro's tiramisu is a must-try dessert. It is made with ladyfingers dipped in espresso and layered with a frozen creamy mascarpone filling. You eat it with your fingers. Overall, I highly recommend Il Bacaro to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Italian meal in Rome.

Siamo stati letteralmente coccolati. Filippo e Sara ti accolgono e si prendono cura di tutti i dettagli per darti piacere e soddisfazione. Eravamo in 4 e abbiamo preso 2 carbonare da dividere in 4. Ci hanno portato i piatti già divisi e impiattati, perfettamente curati e ottimi, cosa quasi unica al centro di Roma. L'entrecote era tenerissima, saporita e arricchita di ottimi funghi e tartufo estivo. Buono il coniglio all'ischitana, forse sarebbe stato preferibile aggiungere un poco più di sughetto che era proprio giusto giusto. Materie prime ben selezionate e ben curate in cucina. Siamo stati benissimo, il locale è in un vicolo carinissimo e tranquillo del centro di Roma, una chicca. Ovviamente ripeteremo l'esperienza.

Dire che ho mangiato male sarei cattivo ma per me è sopravvalutato. Di Carbonare ne ho mangiate di migliori e poi è mettila un po’ di pasta in più che costa poco 12 maccheroni per me sembrano un po’ poco, il pane fatto da voi è buono sì ma fallo mangiare, in due persone ci hanno portato un cestino con 2 pagnottine buone e prima della portata principale ci riviene portato via con ancora un po’ di pane dentro e poi nulla più. Mamma mia manco fosse oro.

The place is ok. Some of the menu items are a gamble though. Got to eat an increadible gnocci, but pretty mediocre pasta and carpaccio. Definitely not a first pick in the area.

Veramente sopravvalutato. L'impressione è quella di un ristorante che vuole sembrare di lusso tra piatti ricercati e prezzi folli, con risultati scarsi (non ritengo che essere in centro giustifichi i 14 euro per tre polpettine di melanzane... ed era l'antipasto più economico). L'ambiente e la presentazione sono molto belle, ma poi di fatto la qualità non rispecchia il prezzo. Ho preso un polpo rosticciato per la modica cifra di 26 euro... per avere letteralmente tre tentacoli che non sapevano di nulla. Abbiamo provato anche un entrecote con funghi e tartufo: quest'ultimo non aveva nessun sapore, i funghi invece avevano un sapore acido che me li hanno fatti lasciare li. Da non tornarci.
