My friend and I visited this nice place again last night. We come to see the live music and have dinner. The place is comfy, great wine and drinks, and the food is really good. The issue is staffing. Or rather not enough staff. There was one waitress on duty and by 4:30 the place was jammed. She was the best she could but it was not good. The service was a bit slow the first time as well. The food was delicious. Between the two visits we enjoyed the charcuterie, crispy brussel sprouts, the salmon, the raging pasta, side salads, and burgers. All fantastic choices. We will be back I just hope they schedule staff appropriately.
From the spare rib to chicken sandwich to the blueberry tequila mixed drink to the service….from the moment we walked in the door till we left we felt like home. We were greeted, seated and talked to with the upmost respect and left full and satisfied. The food is fresh and flavors are perfectly matched to assist each one for the perfect meal.
Good food in comfortable seating and there's a lot of choices for drinks and eats. It was a quiet night so I was quickly seated and everything came out fast and hot, like I've never had salmon so perfectly cooked but also so hot temperature wise. The pea mash was yummy too! And creme brulee had the perfect balance of crunch and custard.
After a long day, I was tired and hungry. Warm halloumi salad and wood fired goat cheese and mushrooms wood fired thin crust pizza was filling but not overly heavy. Pizza is large enough for two people. I could only eat half of it.
A hotel lounge worth the visit! Shoutout to the bartender Ismael who provided a relaxing environment with great recommendations. The cherry Rita was blended so smooth. I could drink them all day - no cheap liquor and the flavor enjoyable. I ordered the shrimp and it had that hint of lemon with the sauce they added. Shrimp was cooked correctly and the bread on the side was good too. Nothing went to waste. Debating ordering the chicken wings next - for my wing people.
Upscale appearance with a semi-casual, relaxed atmosphere. The food was spot on! Our server was friendly and attentive, and offered great suggestions and feedback (which I appreciate). The food was pretty good, the service was excellent and the prices were fair. All in all we had a nice experience :)
Very friendly staff. Nice food at a good price. The black bean burger was delicious. Other co-workers had the Ruben sandwich, chicken sandwich, salmon, and chicken wings. You can definitely add this to your date night list.
A hidden gem in the area. Great service and delicious food. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of food and a station where a chef will make your omelet to order or if you prefer just plain sunny side up or over easy eggs.
Group of 8 and we had reservations set up. Excellent service and food options. Staff was great and helpful all around. Definitely recommend!
Went for breakfast this morning. Made a rsvp on Resy. Server was great. The hostess was super helpful by offering stickers for parking validation before we even asked. The food was great. I had the breakfast pizza for $18 and it was so good. We’ve been for lunch and dinner before, and it’s always good. One of my faves.
Admittedly, I haven’t been to many breakfast places (Walker Bros, Maxwell’s and Honey Biscuit are my main 3 currently), but this place is now the standard I will review them by. This place nailed every core breakfast item and then some. Bacon was nice and crispy, but nowhere near burnt. Scrambled Eggs were soft. Potatoes were perfect. They even bring out a little tray with an assortment of mini jars of jam for your toast (strawberry, blueberry, more). My fiancé got some French toast that I tried a piece of, and that’s now going to be the next thing I try when I go again lol. She really enjoyed them and the piece I had was crispy and buttery. Our server was very attentive, fast and courteous. Fantastic experience.
Came into this location because I was at the hotel and honestly would come here just for this restaurant if I had not stayed at this location. There were three sections of this restaurant 6 the bar area more casual, the restaurant, and the dinner section. I experienced the bar and the restaurant area, the first day I got an appetizer of the pan-fried shrimp with baguettes. The shrimp was very good, big pieces of shrimp were very flavorful the butter sauce was very flavorful. I also had a chicken noodle soup the chicken noodle soup was a little on the Bland side but I poured the butter sauce from the shrimp into it and it instantly made it better and I ate it all. The second time I came I was in more of the dinner area where you can see them cooking the food I got this time the wing appetizer and I got the steak sandwich. The wings were great I had the parmesan and the Barbecue Bourbon, which was eight wings and they were pretty small compared to what I'm used to but really good and it filled me up. The steak sandwich was interesting the sandwich in itself I don't know if it was the sourdough bread that it came on but it was just kind of weird together the steak by itself was delicious so I thought it was just sourdough bread that was throwing me off. The other great thing is I don't like to drink alcohol too much so you bartender can make you mocktails and they're very personable.
Last stay I wrote about the hotel. This time a take a few minutes for the restaurant. They are offering very good food from Pizza to Burgers and also the breakfast for the hotel. The service is extra ordinary and the food is delicious. I liked the Black Bean Burger with the fries exactly at the point. The breakfast buffet is very good at the price-point; with coffee and juices and fresh fruits and your soul needs for breakfast.
The Ashburn served up the best black bean burger I’ve ever had, which was hot, crispy, filling and 100% vegetarian. It came with a side of pickles and hot wedge fries. I ordered this dish twice when I was a guest at the hotel, because I loved it so much. The artistic atmosphere makes it a very pleasant place to have a meal. Martin and Tere were very friendly servers! Pro Tips: - Come in the evening to enjoy their free dill popcorn - Ask the manager about the amazing art pieces!
Love this place, we stay here night before our vacations. Stay and park is convenient and best is sitting at the bar to start our pre vacation tradition. We’ve been doing this the past three years, Yordanka is the BEST! she remembers us every time and is very attentive. Luke is the other one we meet on our journeys as well. They make our stay GREAT!!!
Pre-vaction dinner was excellent & Luke the Bartender was on-point & very professional. Great way to get our trip to Jamaica started.
Wonderful experience! Dined here last night for a business meeting and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. I got the Caesar salad with steak which was excellent. Also loved that they validated parking for the restaurant itself, as we weren’t guests at the hotel but were looking for a cozy restaurant in the area. Very impressed!
if you are traveling this is a nice hotel with a restaurant and close to O'Hara airport. Food was great, nice service
Located at Loews Chicago O'hare, close to Fashion Outlets of Chicago ( 5 minutes walk). The breakfast buffet is awesome. Variety of omelets, juices, breads, fruits. Cereals , waffle, hot plates, pastries. Great service, very good plateware and silverware
Beside the food which is beyond great, the service was impeccable. Sid was the best server. The food here was also absolutely amazing. Please get the chicken it’s delicious.
Great food and service. Gluten free options are plentiful and bread was AMAZING. They even gave an extra serving of bread to take to go
We really enjoyed our dinner tonight at The Ashland. The food was perfectly cooked and was attractive. Service was excellent. Our server was Sid and he was just the nicest persona and was a very professional server. Hope to make it back to the Ashland when I am in Chicago again.
We had a magical evening meal while here for our coaching conference while being served by Sid. His gentle and wise demeanor, warm spirit and easy smile made our evening special. Thank you all for a wonderful night of food, drink and fun with a terrific waiter!
Sal our waiter is the kindest most sincere person I have met, such an honor to talk with him, the amazing food is a bonus to the service ... always such a great experience. Food: 5/5 | Service:
Service was fantastic, Sid was great! Burger was cooked very well, everything was perfect!
Sid is the best host ever. He’s so friendly and gives great food recommendations. We’ve visited this restaurant for the last three years and he has always greeted us with a warm smile. Every time we stay at Lowe’s we look forward to seeing him.. Just ask for Sid!!
Absolutely wonderful experience! My family and I were staying in the attached hotel, trying our best to find good food in the area. We quickly realized that we didn’t have to look any further than downstairs! The cocktails, salads, pizzas, and desserts were all spectacular. Our server Nate was incredibly kind, and gave good suggestions. I want to thank you all for a 5-star dinner, it set our trip off to a fantastic start! I will be back!
This is a great restaurant. And the waiter “Sid” is a true gemstone!! He has been here for over 17 years and is a rock of a man. A true gentleman. It’s always a pleasure to have a nice lunch or dinner here when I’m in town. Food is great. Staff is great. Sid is a standout for making a great experience extraordinary.
Fantastic food & even better service. The staff really goes the extra mile here - it's not just a hotel restaurant, it's a very nice, very comfortable, dining experience that will leave you full and, above all, well satisfied. Thanks Ashburn staff - looking forward to our next visit here.
The food, top notch... But there aren't enough stars to rate the service as high as it deserves. Platinum-level service from Sid, our server, and manager Quentin. Experience and attention to detail speak loudly and these two gentlemen are true pros!
Should have a much higher rating. Ate here three times during my stay at Loews. Food was excellent. Service was always prompt and very friendly. I couldn’t recommend enough.
Our server, Sid, did an amazing job taking care of us. He went out of his way to ensure all our (dietary) needs were met with a warm and happy demeanor! Thank you!!!
During our recent weekend trip to Chicago, we stayed at the Chicago Marriott Suites in Rosemont, but had a wonderful dinner at The Ashburn, Gastropub, located in the Loew's Hotel in Rosemont. The atmosphere at this gem is beautiful. It's inside the hotel, as opposed to being adjacent and you first enter a large and modern bar area with bar seats, high tops and tables. We wanted the dining room and continued into a large and brighter room with modern bistro flair, including beautiful, large booths and tables. It's new and fresh and modern, but understated ambiance. The restaurant was pretty empty and the woman who seated us was beyond kind and professional. Once seated in a spacious booth, she mentioned the specials and asked if she could get us drinks. When asked what her favorites are, she responded professionally and with subtle exhuberance. Class act. Next, our waiter was Sid and he went out of his way throughout our meal to refill our non-alcoholic drinks, and be extremely attentive. He also made sure since we were splitting something to offer us separate portions. Service was phenomenal and we skipped dessert after sharing a large Caesar Salad, along with Steak Frites (we substituted delicious Truffle fries). We wanted to return the next evening, but had family commitments, but we'll be back the next time we land in Chicago.
The Ashburn is located in the Loews Hotel - Chicago O’hare. We are a late supper after checking in. We did not have reservations but were seated quickly. The food was tasty and served in a visually appealing and fun way. Staff were very friendly.
Nice restaurant located in the Loews Hotel. Easy parking at the attached garage. Parking is validated with restaurant purchase. Good sized dining area and fair selection of menu items. The Barramundi was quite good. Shrimp appetizer was a large portion and tasty. Overall the service was good but slow. The kitchen was slow to get out entrees. That would be my only knock, otherwise overall a good experience.
Nestled in the lobby of the Loews hotel, the aviation themed restaurant sits plenty more people than I thought it would. We found a nice sized booth near the bar. We stopped in for lunch so we ordered from the lunch menu but there are also breakfast and dinner menus. Food was good and the Bloody Mary’s had a kick. Favorite item at lunch was the order of brussel sprouts. Salmon sliders were also good. Free parking in the parking garage. Just don’t forget to get your parking ticket validated!
Food was good. In the pricey side but good. The burger is huge and def recommend. The pizzas are very thin crusted… which it has more dough however the flavor was good. Mac n cheese was good as well. Overall good place
We went for a late afternoon lunch and we were nearly the only ones there, the restaurant seating area was closed but the bar booths were comfy so all good. Our server was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Separate checks, no problem, hold the cheese, no problem, etc. Everything was good.
No buffet on weekdays. Poor no dairy milk choices (soy only). Ordered breakfast food was good and enough to leave you satisfied. Service was very nice, but forgot to give us part of our meal and it was wrong cheese in an omelette considering place having only 5% occupancy. Overall I would recommend this place if you are not afraid to spend extra money for breakfast.
The food was good. Drinks were on point. Service just a little slow. But I’m a server as well so I understand. Looks like I showed up durning am and pm shifting. Would most definitely come again.
The food was average. However, they make it up with pretty good service and the atmosphere is pretty nice.
Our group had the burger and the grilled salmon and both were very good. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a very nice time and not your typical “in-hotel” dining experience.
Ashburn offers a warm, welcoming experience that blends comfort, quality, and a relaxed atmosphere. The space is clean, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged, making it an easy choice whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or a quick bite. The menu is well-rounded with solid options, and the flavors come together nicely—fresh ingredients, good balance, and portions that feel just right. Service is friendly and attentive, and the staff keeps things running smoothly even during busy periods. While there’s still room for a bit more variety or creativity on some items, the overall experience is consistently satisfying. The dishes come out hot, properly seasoned, and nicely presented, and the vibe of the place makes you want to settle in and stay a while. Ashburn is reliable, enjoyable, and definitely worth a visit, earning a strong four stars.
I know hotel restaurant prices are high and inflated for their reasons, but $20 for a black coffee and a [oh so small] acai bowl is crazy. Basically a scoop with fruit on top. I should've gone for the $18 breakfast burrito.
They were not too busy yet service was very slow. When we did get food it was cold and rather bland. For the price we paid, should of gotten excellent service and food. Disappointing.
This location featured reasonably good food, but the service wasn't great. Not anything horrible but just not very pleasant. The atmosphere was consistent with being a restaurant in a business class hotel, again nothing bad, but nothing great. We were in the restaurant area. The bar seemed more lively and might be nice.
$12 for a draft pint? This place is comfortable and conveniently located if you're staying at Loews but, outside of attending a sporting event, I've never seen these types of prices. I never thought I'd have to go to the O'hare terminal to find more reasonable liquor prices.
Looked promising, great atmosphere , nice bar but the food was not good. Meatballs were very salty and dry. Pizza was basically a store bought frozen pizza. Yucky crust. Breakfast was no better. Ordered an açai bowl and the frozen yoghurt tasted like freezer burn. Awful. I guess they have a captive market.
I called and asked to speak with the hr department and Giana just hung up on me! I called back and she still had an attitude, she put me on hold for a long time! She came back to the line multiple time and wouldn't say anything. Then she finally transferred to a different department that hung up on me again! Very unprofessional!
Food was lousy. A $8.99 bottle of wine costs $57, now that’s extreme markup, so you would think the food would be at least fresh- nope. Got the charcuterie board and you could tell the meat and cheese had been sitting around for a long time. The prime rib sandwich was recommended by the server, it was literally shaved beef dripping with grease. The only thing that was “fresh” were the fries. Probably would have been better off with a gas station sandwich.
