My daughter and I came in to eat here 8/29 at 1pm and the whole restaurant is very clean. The staff is courteous and the food is really good. They have a good operation going here and we appreciated the good food & service. Better than other whataburgers I have visited lately, much cleaner too.
Food was hot , freshly cooked, crisp hot fries, cold Dr pepper, couldn't ask for anything else better. TY.
Romeo C is the cashier that says on my ticket but that’s besides the point. The exceptional amount of customer service I have received here on 12/22/2022 was beyond the best I have ever experienced. Such a pleasant young lady and very very polite and just all around amazing. Thank y’all so much
Great food add usual, service grin the young cool was perfect but the okey lady that was working didn't give the best vibe, I'm assuming she wanted to be somewhere else but didn't say anything so who knows.. overall whataburger never lets you down
Natalie (manager) and Tracy (at the grill) are the kindest people you will meet and make a great environment with their smiles. This place used to have a difficult manager but Natalie has really turned it around. The food was great and employees and customers were forgiving when our kids were acting like kids. I really like that the high chairs were kept behind the counter and therefore clean & working.
Today I stopped by right before11 am. I think they probably had to make more eggs to make my breakfast but they were really cool about it. I went to leave and the guy at the window sang a little tune to me with a great smile and wished me a great day! Dude you made my day! Great service and good food, that's why I go to WhataB!
Customer service was just right! Ordered food came to the window Dz drive thru worker informed me they didn't have gravy 😫 broken 💔 I know I know told him that was the main thing I came for with fries. He said don't worry I got you just give me a few minutes & I will have it ready! ( princess gets what a princess wants hair flips) I will definitely be coming back
I went by tonight and I just have to say Ken'Neyzha was super sweet and awesome. I was a mess in her drive-thru as I was trying to unlock my card to pay and her patience with me was unwavering despite two cars being behind cuz she made a great laugh out of it with me. I've never left a review before because I didn't feel a need to but this just made my day. Thank you

Great service in the drive-through! From ordering to paying and ending with the item hand- off, the young man working the window was kind, easy to understand, respectful, and smiled!!! Made my afternoon!!!

The best burgers in The best locations with easy access and welcoming staff I was starving when I went in tonight and had a good long wait for my food as they were slamed.. my #3 combo was hot,yummy and well worth the 15 minutes I waited. I am going back,....soon & will surely enjoy it as much as all the times before. You should head up now as they are open 24/7 and tell em' Russell sent you.

I ordered for 4 people one persons order was not correct. Everyone's food was fresh and hot . The fries did not taste like old grease ...big turn off to me . I tried the new spicy chicken sandwich. It was good I liked it o er all even though it upset my tummy some but I am a little sensitive. I don't think they should change it just mentioned it for others that might be a little sensitive as well.
Lotd of playing around in the background and lots of questions on our orders. Burger was great but the fries could have been just thrown away.
I love there Shakes. They make an awesome White Chocolate Raspberry Shake. It is out of this world. It's a shame they only have them the first of summer. It's so sad that I have to wait. I get one every chance I get. All year long they have different specialty shakes. Their burgers are great too. It always smells so good when you walk in. Today I just came in to get a shake. I always go in instead of waiting in their long line. Soooo... how about one of their awesome shakes today? You will be glad you did. Happy drinking. 😊
They always have good food but they often don't get the order right which is a big disappointment when you realize when you get home that you did not get what you order. The store is always clean and the staff is nice.
Staff doesn't doesn't seem to care about their work. They move slow and act like they don't care. There was a guy waiting 30 min for his breakfast on Saturday 01/28/23. Only person I saw working was mrg and the guy inside. They could have done better without the female staffs that day. I waited 10 min at drive thru no one responded, went inside. Funny thing is they weren't that busy.
30 minutes to get a two burger order (no other items) that I ordered ahead on the app for curbside pickup. Food was barely warm. Time was 2pm after the lunch rush. The young lady who brought out the food was very nice though.
First, I love Whataburger! Service seems to be off a bit lately Do I have to ask for everything? I understand the condiments but if I'm in the Drive-Thru can I please get some napkins!
Whether you get your food fast and hot, or wait 30 minutes to get it cold, is between them and God. I have ordered on the app the past three visits. They always give me my food 20-30 minutes after it should have been done and its always cold as hell.
Waited for a little while to be served placed an online order and still had to wait about 15-20 min maybe they were backed up. A lady from the drive through very polite access the situation quickly.
Visited on a Tuesday night with a party of 5 and it was relatively slow. Orders were taken quickly and food was out soon afterwards. The restaurant itself is clean and I like the sky ceiling. My ONLY complaint were the fries. Everyone at our table were served crispy fries that looked & tasted old. We're pretty sure they were fries that had been sitting out for a while and were just thrown back into the fryer to be reheated. Will definitely be asking for fries without salt next time to ensure they're cooked to order.
It should not take 30 minutes to pick up a mobile order. We saw 6 cars leave the drive thru window because service was so slow. I gave this location two stars because the young man who took care of us was polite and helpful.
Worst drive-thru experience in a while, order to pick up at window 30 minutes ordered chocolate malt and got a vanilla shake and drive-thru attendants could care less about the errors. I will not be back. For anyone who has been to a Whataburger lately this is becoming a regular occurrence at most WHATABURGER since they were bought out, so 😥
I have to say I'm shocked to be rating a Whataburger this low... I'm not sure anyone there cared about service at all, or cleanliness either. We waited over ten minutes just to place our order, with no customers or line. We were seen without being greeted or acknowledged by half a dozen employees. They were out of any teas whatsoever, they had no large straws, and the restaurant as well as the parking lot were dirty. No one cared about any of it, they were too busy giving the one person actually working a hard time. The food was average, but I wouldn't come back even if it was the best, because the service and atmosphere left an awful taste in my mouth.
If I could go negative stars on service I would. They can't tell time they cant read a ticket half the time the orders are wrong no matter what time you go. If you want to get good service and orders correct the extra deive down to dalrock and 66 is the best way to go stay away from this store after multiple orders wrong and rude employees that can't do anything right but mess around and not want to do their job. They don't deserve 15 an hour they deserve 6 an hour until they learn the value of doing their job correctly
Placed a mobile order today and received drinks immediately, and we're told food would be out shortly. Fifteen minutes had gone by with no food and had to go through the drive thru and had to ask about our food. I was then told to pull to spot b , and then our food arrived within seconds. Basically, we were forgotten until we said something. The food was obviously cold....
Absolutely the slowest Whataburger I've ever been to. +25 minutes in a drive thru lane with only 3 cars in front.
Don't know if the lady at the drive thru was having a bad morning or not but not a good look to tell a customer rudely, "there's picante in the bag and here's your card." While shoving the bag in my hand and then slamming the drive thru window. I go to Whataburger frequently and this location didn't ask for a name for the order nor was a thank you for your visit given. May be the reason why only one other car was there at 10:37 a.m.
Waited about 45 minutes for my order. As I was waiting I see about 4-5 workers walking back and forth. I was told upon ordering that I would only have to wait 6-7 minutes for an item on the menu. Outrageous on how I was not updated once on what was going on. After waiting so long I was then told I was waiting on fries! Fries out of all things, if I was told that prior then I would have told them to not add them.
I write this review for this whataburger as I wait in line for over 20 minutes for the second time in two weeks. If you have a nice podcast or a bunch of time to spare this is the perfect place to wait for your food that you wish you hadn’t as you watch all the other fast food customers on the street come and go in a timely fashion. You should want better for yourself. Find another place to eat
This is the SLOWEST Whataburger ever- and slow is usually to be expected at a Whataburger. Expect to sit in the drive thru for 25 minutes minimum, and you'll probably be given cold/wrong food even after the wait. I've given them many chances and it's always the same experience.
The worst service ever by human beings! They were the loudest obnoxious people I have ever come across in a fast food restaurant. Didn't know whose order was who waited 30 minutes did not even get food. Good luck to those people in life!!!
Honestly whataburger has been letting me down but this location is the worst! What’s the point of ordering on the app if I gotta wait an hour for my meal.
Went through the drive through and asked for a drink with no ice. The lady said “it’s fine but it’s not on there.” Then when I asked for ketchup before I left she told me there was some in it, there was not. I went inside to grab some and the employees were arguing over who’s handling the front.
We’ve been waiting at the drive-thru since 10:13pm & it is now 11:00. 3 cars have exited the line & 2 r ahead of me & 1 bhind. The lady who took our order was very pleasant, but offered no warning or explanation for the delay. Are we they slaughtering the cows & chickens in there too?!
OMG…ordered one burger, took 36 minutes!!!! Not all that busy…what is the problem?!?! 8 people working, most walking around doing nothing. I worked in fast food restaurants in my youth and this is no longer “fast” food. Other customers were also angry. One told me this is not unusual at Whataburger. Ridiculous!!!!
This Whataburger location is a Covid danger zone. 4 out of 5 times I've come here they are NOT wearing masks. I believe this is a health code violation and breaking other rules. Action needs to be taken. Poor management. I am diabetic and get food for my diabetic elderly parents here. This place is endangering all of Rowlett
Drive-thru employee was extremely unprofessional and rude. She seemed inconvenienced that she had to do her job when I placed my order. She was even more rude when I asked to scan my app for points, apparently the machine was not working. That's fine, things break, but I asked how would I get my points and she said "Is it REALLY that serious?". I called her out for being rude and left without paying or receiving my order. I called and spoke to the manager Natalie and she said she would be talking to the employee. I will not be going back to this location. I will be going to the one on Dalrock, a location I have never had a problem with.
You have about a 50-50 chance of getting your order correct. if you order a number one with cheese you may get no cheese plus add bacon. Bear in mind I was the only person in the Drive-Thru
Had to wait almost 20 min for what ended to be cold burgers, seem not cooked. Expensive and no quality. The lady at the cashier was super nice, wanted to give me 4 ketchups (for free)… I literallly saw the manager telling her to not give me that quantity… and gave me 1 KETCHUP … cheap in all
Manager (older black woman) was making the whole process at the drive thru difficult for me and the girl working drive thru. It's already a long wait having someone clearly slowing and elongating through process helps no one. Girl at the window was really kind and great though.
Terrible food service and customer service. Waited over 40+ minutes for my order on two occasions. The first time we had gone inside to order since the drive thru had a long line. Proceeded to wait 20-30 minutes and noticed the line outside was now non-existent and after another 10 minutes decided to ask the workers what was taking so long for our food they said they had given it out on accident. Couldn't even tell us their mistake when it happened and just had us waiting. The second time the drive thru line wasn't too long and so the ordering process went by quickly, got to the window and was given my drinks then was shortly told to pull up to the curb to wait for my food. Waited for 20+ minutes and finally a worker comes out, but to ask a few cars behind to pull up to the side to give them their order. As the worker is trying to walk back inside I asked, "how much longer" and was told they had "lost it." Not sure what they mean when they said they "lost it" my guess is they lost the ticket and never made *2 sandwiches* OR was given to another customer. Again was never told of what happened until asked and wouldn't have been surprised if I never got my food until I had to ask a worker. Neither time was I given anything to compensate for their mistake and time wasted. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. You'll have a better and FASTER experience going to a different location.
It stink really bad in here it smell like vomit the second I walk in
I went to order a late dinner for me and my family and the 2 different workers that bounced me around to take my order throught the drive through, both had attitude and were extremely rude. The 2nd one even raised her voice at me. I drove off, I will never spend another dollar at this location. This is why it was completely empty and why every one in this town avoids this location.
It was 9:45 am . I asked for fries instead of hash brown. I received cold, stale fries. It’s morning time, why are my fries not fresh? Especially if it’s not even lunch time yet. I’m assuming they gave me fries from yesterday. Didn’t ask do I want any condiments, bread felt old . Looking through to make sure I wasn’t biting in to any mold. First and last time coming to that whataburger.
Evening visit. Took almost an hour to get my burger. Gave up on the drive thru after no movement for 15 minutes and went inside. Employees were wandering the dining room, chatting, and standing around. Zero burgers were on the grill. When I finally got my food it was adequate, but I won't be back.
We love coming to this location , but today we had a unfortunate experience. We were getting our drinks and my daughter noticed the ice was dirty , i told her just throw it was and get new ice , then i grabbed my cup and chunks of mold came out along with the ice.We showed the cashier and he was disgusted and tried to show his manager and told him we have a serious problem the manger told him “just give them new cups” and that was it- i chose not to get any drinks - we sat and ate our food and about 7 customers continued to get ice- another customer pointed out the mold and the manager just gave him a new cup- the cashier apologized to us- but he was more upset that his Manager didn't do anything about it
We placed an order on my app and we picked it up. THE WORSE BURGERS AND ONION RINGS. I was so disappointed. It was almost 50 bucks! In this economy, this makes me very angry. I called and no answer I sent an email regarding this issue and I never got a response. I hate to say this but I think we are going to break up and this makes me very sad.
If possible I would give a zero rating. Time after time, the drive thru experience is best described as incompetence and customer service is completely lacking. There was a time when customers were greeted with a welcome to whataburger but more often than not I get a blank stare or what do you want. The food is quite good overall but the complete lack of any customer service and a roughly 50/50 chance you'll get the correct order is just too much. There's just too many other choices out there to keep coming back.
I used the drive thru…order 561128 @ 1:09pm 4/19/24. Ordered #7 with cheese, no onions. Attendant handed me the bag & closed window. without asking about ketsup…I checked bag! I got her attention & asked for napkin…she gave me one…two would have been perfect. I let the ketsup go…should have checked my burger but didn’t. Awful experience…no cust svc whatsoever.
This location is HORRIBLE when it comes to ordering thru the drive thru....especially breakfast time. We waited 26 minutes. I had a timer going from point of ordering till our food got to us. 26 minutes for 2 breakfast bowls & hashbrowns. It is so rediculous. It was not the first time this has happened either. They really need to get a better crew in there rather than these young kids that just wanna be slow & not focus on their jobs. 99% sure We will not be returning.

6am served cold coffee that tasted like from the day before not once, but twice after they supposedly redid it. Called and spoke to Natalie who ignored complaint, because she said she just brewed coffee herself. Wow!! What happened to the phrase, "the customer's always right"? I'm 55 and think I no by now what a freshly brewed cup of coffee tastes like. Definitely won't be back to this location... other reviews are horrifying.
Order a meal, say i don't want the drink. And they take the fries too. No receipt. Bet i still got charged for a meal.
Should have never sold. Ordered a Whatachicken with Jalapenos and onion rings. got a plain whataburher and fries. BUT they sure didn't forget to charge for the extras. POORLY RUN STORE. Drive through slower than the average Whataburger and the average Whataburger isn't a track star..
It always takes a very long time to get your food. The staff seems very unprofessional and seems to be having a good time and not in any hurry to get your order ready.
I checked in on my app today to indicate that I was there to pick up my order. I sat and waited for 25 minutes! I finally went inside and my food had been sitting there, but no drinks. Food was cold because it sat there for so long! Unacceptable!
After waiting for 30 minutes for our food. The manager here stated that the reason it took that long was because the workers were smoking weed. I’m very disappointed in the customer service and the way the manager didn’t care to give the reason of why it took long to get our food.
The curbside here is awful. Whether they're busy or slow. Both times I went i waited for 15 minutes and had to go in to pick up my order. Defeats the purpose of curbside.
This is the 2nd time in 3 months I've came to this location and left with no food. The 1st time I walked in, no one acknowledged me, I stood there for almost 10 minutes and left since no one bothered to help me. Today, I was able to order food as soon as I walked in. Waited for almost 15 minutes, then I went to check on my order and the manager could not find it. Everyone was just talking and laughing instead of focusing on their job, cook was at the grill with one hand on his phone and the other on the grill, seems unsanitary, good thing I didn't eat. I asked for a refund, manager said she was sorry. Right, you are sorry. More work, less play. It's not even a difficult job. So far this is the worst location that I have been to.
This location on Hwy 66 Lakeview prkwy. There's just not enough time in the day to say how incompetent some employees are. Went through drive through on 8-30-22 @9:05am and I specifically told the lady that I had a Free reward I wanted to use on one of my items and she still charged me for the free item. I was told by another employee that they can't refund unless they get the manager to do it. I said get the manager to figure this out then. I would think that would be obvious that you would get the manager if im upset about the situation. The lady in drive through name is Jessica who obviously need more training. This location is just horrible when it comes to service. It could be long wait times for dinner, over charging or getting order. I was there on 12-17-22 at 1100 pm inside order and it took then 40min to get my food. I was the second order inside n drive through was busy. Total of 3 team members working. I've given this locarion to many chances. I want be visiting tho spot anymore. No it haven't changed Burger patties is so dry its like eating beef jerky.. fries was half cooked still white and soggy the best Whataburger is on firewheel parkway and in Sachse hwy 78. I'll go to DQ before I go back to the one on hwy 66 again. No more chances for them to improve
The worst chicken bites we have ever gotten, literally rock hard, chicken was literally dried out inside, my son was so upset that his dinner was ruined. Please train your staff so that they know this type of quality is not acceptable, it is not the first time and I will definitely not be back to this location. We love Whataburger so we will just take the extra 10min to drive to our favorite location next time.
Raw bacon? I didn’t ask for it. As a man I’ve had my fair share of raw meat as I wasn’t good at cooking at one point so Ik exactly what raw tastes like. It’s ridiculous just burn it to a crisp! I tried eating it as I generally don’t like wasting food, but the texture had me feeling sick. Please do better, this annoyed me; I love bacon.
Ordered a #4 Jalepeno & cheese WhataBurger. It took over 10 minutes and the burger was dry and very plain. No mustard or ketchup. One of the kids meal burgers bun was very stale and hard. My grandsons were originally very excited that we were going to WhataBurger but extremely disappointed in their meals.
UPDATED REVIEW: It has been years since I ate here because of the reasons shown below. Today, I was out on an errand without my wallet and wanted lunch. Someone gave me a WB gift card for the holidays, so I figured, "Let's see if the Whataburger nearest me has made any improvements in 5 years." They gave me someone else's order. Which, of course, I figured out at home. Same situation! Different faces. So while I see the Merch available has inproved, the service has not. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I know that the potential for quality food and service is available at many Whataburger locations. Sadly, this one is not one of those locations based on several visits I've made here. Quite frankly, I don't trust the staff to not do intentionally nasty things to the food. I've been hard-mugged by the kid at the drive-thru window as he stared me down like I owed him money or something. It was weird! This young person had ZERO customer relation skills, which should be something that any fit manager would see as obvious. I have had #5 with No Onions order come home and found loaded with onion. This happened on more than one occasion. I don't want anything free to endure bad dining experiences. I don't need an "I'm sorry...blah blah blah...". I am posting this review, as I have with every one Ive ever taken time to write, to honestly share my experience and opinion to consider where your dollars and time are spent as an average consumer. I would consider other alternatives to this location.
Every time I order a strawberry shake, they give me chocolate instead. This place also makes you wait 30 minutes to get your order.
I had a curbside order that no one came out for after waiting 20 minutes I went inside to find my order just sitting there with multiple people standing around doing nothing. If your employees don’t want to go outside and do curbside orders maybe the restaurant shouldn’t be doing them entirely!!!

Whataburger flat out sucks. Burgers have no flavor, fries were essentially uncooked and the service was terrible. Many better fast food burgers out there.
Mest up my order I call and a nice manager lady answered she knew they mest up my order well I come back today !! The male manager was rude and unprofessional I don’t go for free stuff brother I went back cuz u mest up my order and I want it fix now I don’t think customer service it’s your thing u should look for a different job sir
If I could gave no stars I would. First of all we had to wait a while for our food it was only 2 burgers and 2 fries. When we finally did get it YUK. It was so nasty a TV dinner would have been better. The fries tasted old, and the burger 🍔 was old tasting old, the bread was kinda hard and the meat tasted like it was left over from last week and the cheese was not even melted. And the attitude from the cashier boy what a stank attitude. Terrible, Terrible. NEVER EVER again will I go there not even dor free.
Just left there ordered #2 no onions went to work ate at desk took 2 bites and saw long black hair pulled out between meat and lettuce,, so no hair net was used by preparer… keep the 12 bucks just won’t go back. Just Nasty
honestly, i don’t know what kind of fast food restaurant makes their customers wait over 30 mins to get their order. i have gone to this location multiple times and ordered ahead online, but it seems like everytime i come to pick up my order at the curbside pickup it takes them well over 30 mins to even acknowledge my presence. i have even had staff walk by my car in the curbside pickup area look at me and act like im not there. there have been multiple times where i had to go into the restaurant and ask about my order only to get the response of “oh sorry we forgot”. please save your time and go to another whataburger location.
I don’t know why this one is still open! I walked in at 2:30 pm Sunday and not a hello, nothing! I couldn’t even find a worker! I heard them all in back conversing!!!! Stood there 10 min and walked out! Obviously don’t need my business. Why do you work here if you don’t want to work???? My goodness!!! There was 2 ppl eating that’s it!!! Wasn’t even busy.
Every single time I order curbside pickup here I always end up going inside the store and picking it up in person after waiting 30 minutes. Food is super dry and fries are always cold. If you live in the Rowlett area it’s best you take the extra 10 minutes and drive to the other Whataburger across the bridge.
The drive-thru girl was nice — I saw her last time I was here. I didn’t realize the person at the speaker and the one handing me my food were the same. I wish I had seen the reviews before coming. I’ve been VIOLENTLY throwing up for the past hour. I’ve worked in fast food before, and I don’t understand how people are getting sick like this. I will be contacting the proper authorities. People work hard and deserve better than this, especially from a major fast food chain.
I was very much looking forward to coming here after being sick the past couple of days to eat a normal meal and unfortunately this location was unable to complete my simple order of a NORMAL Double Meat Whataburger with NO cheese and no mods. Literally just a Number Two. Unfortunately my order was heard wrong and I politely corrected the already irritated Service Worker, which I get rough nights but when I am being completely polite it makes no sense for attitude towards me. She did then fix the issue and got the correct order on the receipt which I then paid for. She later handed me the bag and I will say change her attitude slightly more positively which i appreciated but then upon getting home I open up the bag and see I was handed THE WRONG ORDER with cheese on the burger which I am allergic to. I shouldn’t have to check every detail of my order before leaving as the customer. So if you would like to eat Whataburger I recommend the one by Dalrock or Firwheel Parkway and to AVOID this location.
04/15/2025 I visited this establishment and ordered my food just to realize that the carton that the fries came in was the actual used one after I had eaten some of the fries I noticed ketchup stains in the box. I contacted Whataburger the manager was playing on the phone and gave me a fake number to send her the picture And then hung up the phone. I called corporate. They have done nothing I will never in life frequent this establishment again, and I have a video and excuse it because I spit it out once I realized that the box was used and you’ll see the ketchup that I was dipping my fries in there shouldn’t have been any on the box. It’s so unfortunate. I can’t upload the video but here’s the pic that I took
I have been going to this whataburger location for the last year and each visit I’ve always have had a disappointment or issue with my orders but this one completely shut me down from wanting to ever eat from a whataburger restaurant all together. I ordered my usual number 4 and half way through my burger as I was about to take another bite I noticed something unusual located in between my two beef Pattie’s and when took a closer look I discover (see attached photo) a black plastic piece object. It completely took my appetite away and discussed me. After all the negative experiences with them it completely ruined any chance of me eating at whataburger overall. Take a look at your food inside before taking a bite or eating something that should not be in your food.
This is their idea of a large fry and a large onion ring... not only do you get the privilege of waiting in line up to 40 minutes after placing your order to get your food they only fill the containers half full and the drinks are not much better. And all this for an outrageous price almost double what Sonic charges.
