Perfect little spot to grab some tacos on this beautiful breezy 70degree weather. Service was quick with a counter order. Small inside seating with decent outdoor seating. The $1.99 taco Tuesday carnitas street tacos were perfectly seasoned. Wish the asada street tacos were also $1.99 as well, but if you’re a fan of chicken and pork. $1.99 Tuesday sure does make a hell of a deal. Top it off with a modelo and you got some good food.
My favorite taco spot around Sac, easy access off 99 and plenty of free street parking if the lot is full. Always quick, tasty and they have beer as well. My favorite chicken taco around and I love the salsa bar, especially the mango habanero. Always nice to sit outside when the suns out.
The food here is VERY good. Tastes very authentic (because it is)! There is indoor and outdoor seating. And the parking is somewhat difficult. But the food is worth it! The owners are very courteous. Ask for their daily special! They do delivery with door dash.
Staff is always very friendly and the food is super good. If you’re here during the week, ask about their daily special. Today I had a sope with rice and beans. Very good. Their salsa is pretty spicy too, so you know it’s legit.
Restaurant is small but plenty of outdoor seating. The food has lots of flavor and staff is friendly.
Very tasty, fast service, and great prices, too! I ordered 3 Street Tacos for Taco Tuesday prices & 2 Shrimp Tacos 💜 They were able to make grilled shells for my Shrimp Tacos which was very accommodating because many restaurants won't do that. I appreciate their willingness to please their customers 👍🏽💐☺️

This is my second time here. I had two quesabirria tacos and I like it. The service was fast. There is a get your own sauce bar then have nachos while I wait for my order.
This place got my favorite enchiladas in all of sacramento. 🙂
First time here, and I will be a return customer. I'm probably annoying when judging a burrito, but this Lengua one was FANTASTIC. It was ready in no time. I don't know if this is always the case, but it was ready a lot faster than normal for me. The staff was very friendly and very attentive to any possible needs we had. My sister had the Quesadilla and it was also great. The parking is tight, and there are more seats outside than in. But great place overall!
A very tiny space but the food is big on flavor. A great selection of options and a yummy salsa bar. I recommend the chile relleno burrito and the chilaquiles but everything I have had has been great.
Restaurant is small but plenty of outdoor seating. The food has lots of flavor and staff is friendly.
I've eaten at this restaurant a few times and each time the food is flavorful and delicious. Best enchiladas I've had in a long time. Their tres leches cake is absolutely amazing.
I've only done delivery but the chili verdi was absolutely phenomenal. Melt-in- your-mouth chunks of braised pork in an amazing green chili sauce, with just the right corn tortillas, beans, rice and salsa to put it completely over the top. The birria was also good, but the chili verde was out of this world.
Street tacos!! The food was so good. Salsa bomb. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. Seating isn't great but still worth the visit even if it's to go.
I ordered the Birria tacos. I'm not sure if they were supposed to come with consume sauce or not but I didn't get any with them so the tacos were a little dry but still delicious, just needed the sauce! The beans and rice on the side were pretty normal for a Mexican restaurant so nothing to complain about there. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The ladies at the counter were great and so was the service. I would visit again.
I love this place so much I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it yet! I always get the grilled chicken street tacos and they’re always amazing. Prices are excellent, (especially on taco Tuesday) and the portions are generous! Staff is always sweet and pleasant. It’s just a pleasure to dine in here. It’s kind of small, but there’s some patio seating.
Food was made fresh to order. Delicious, I might add! The lady who took my order was nice. When I ordered 3 plates the lady only heard 2 and when I went to ask for the third one she was very apologetic and fixed my order. The prices were reasonable. Inside was small with four tables, I recommend placing a To-go order because parking is difficult as well.
OMG what can I say FINALLY an amazing hole in the wall restaurant that me and my family LOVED food was amazing seasoned and great portion size for the price. - Carnitas plate: the beans have a near to perfection seasoning. Rice is authentic and star of the plate Carnitas are juicy and well cooked. - Torta: I got the torta with milanesa meat and I love love love this sandwich the bread they use compliments the sandwich well all toppings well proportioned This will be a definite come back to place here in SACRAMENTO

Converted funky old metal sided filling station circa 1930’s or so it seems. Situated diagonally on a corner of T st. where it makes a dog leg turn at Alhambra Blvd. If you see on-street parking grab it since parking spaces on-site are limited. Inside you find four tables and the order counter along with self service salsa bar and soda machine. Next time if the weather permits I’ll bring my dog since there’s plenty of outdoor seating, two counters and several tables. My burrito was promptly prepared and was huge and tasty. The restroom is in a separate building out the back like an old gas station. If you need to use it then ask for the key at the corner where you placed your food order.
This is a fun little (and I mean little) spot to grab some no frills Mexican faire. Located on a rather challenging 'triangle' corner which makes it one of those places you SEE it and then realize you are passing it. Parking is super limited, so expect to park on the street and walk a few feet, and maybe have to cross some heavy traffic. Come on, it'll be worth it. The building is an old (again, super tiny) gas station which is why it is situated where it is. There are a several metal tables outside, and even two bar height seating areas along each side of the building. Plus a few small tables inside. Order at the counter, take your number, grab some chips and salsa at the salsa bar (inside), and then go find yourself a table. They will bring your food to you. We came in for the 'Taco Tuesday' special for lunch which truly can't be beat. $1.99 for either seasoned shredded chicken or carnitas. We ordered 3 of each. Tacos were double layered corn street taco tortilla size, with onion and cilantro, some limes to squeeze on them if you like, and a couple radishes finished off the plate. We used some of the salsa on ours...We agreed that both seasoned chicken and the carnitas meats were excellent. The salsas (both green and red) were very good, and not overly spicy. Personally, as lovers of spicy foods, we would have liked them to be more intense. Overall, this is a fantastic place to grab some really good Mexican food for a super affordable price, at a kitschy fun spot.
The food was yummy and the margarita is delicious as well. Kind of a small space but they make it work.
I work a few blocks away and wanted to try something new walking distance from me. I called ahead to find out what their daily special was and it was a chicken flautas plate I decided to order ahead and pick it up. When I got there my order was ready. The daily special was not too bad for the price it comes with the drink and was pretty filling. The salsas were good.
I love this little spot, definitely a cute place to visit for lunch. The food was good, the salsa was better. I got carne asada and carnitas for my street tacos, the meat tasted really fresh. The rice and beans were nothing to write home about. The big burrito size was great! Overall, great place to visit, but pricey compared to similar quality Mexican spots in Sacramento.
Their food reminds me of my grandmas cooking. I really like that they give chips with orders and I do really like their normal red salsa. I am going to slowly try all the meats but so far I like the grilled chicken the most out of the (Fish, Carnitas, Shredded Chicken, Asada, Birria, and Grilled Chicken)

Just ate lunch at El Rincon in midtown Sacramento and the food was phenomenal!! I tried the barria plate paired with a Michelada of course! Lol Parking is very limited but one can always park on the street and get there with a very short walk. Plus it’s totally worth it, the food is delicious!!! #sacramentoeats #foodie #norcaltreats

The food was great, I just felt that a quesabirria should have a good amount of cheese, and these lacked queso. The service was excellent, and I enjoyed the outdoor dining.

I don’t know if I came on an off night but out of the 3 chicken tacos and 1 beef taco. Chicken was bland and chewy, the beef was OLD, I had to spit it out. I thought they were known for good refried beans but the beans were exactly like canned refried beans and were barely warm. Great environment and nice people, just not a good taco and refried beans night. I went to Jimboy’s after to get the taste out of my mouth. I wish I was joking.
