Granite's Buffalo Wings Subs

We ordered takeout by phone and recruited a somewhat underemployed friend to retrieve our order (compensated with cash and a sandwich of his choice). Well, our friend saw a squirrel and never picked up our order. Closing time was approaching when we received a call about our orphaned sandwiches. It took me more than 20 minutes to reach the shop -- more than 10 minutes after they closed -- but there she was, keys in one hand, and our order in the other. I was both grateful and impressed. Thank you.

The best local wing establishment in the greater Sacramento area. Fair warning this isn't one of those places that is a "best kept secret" type place. Everybody knows this place is good. So if you show up on game day and think they won't be busy you are fooling yourself. Every Super Bowl this place is packed, and the kitchen is dealing with massive pre orders and scrambling to keep up. So order in advance because this place totally worth the wait and you want to make sure you don't miss out.

Wings were perfectly done again! 😀👍 Other locations usually overcook them. This time I tried the mushrooms and they were great! The service on the phone and during pick up was perfect.

I wish I could give it 10 stars! First there is the service. What can I say other than they make you feel right at home. They are the best!! Answer any question you have about the menu, even if you come in 20 minutes before close. They super sweet and PERFECT customer service. Now the reason we are all here, THE FOOD! WOW! Can anyone say MOUTH WATERING!! The price wasn't even outrageous. I feel like I ACTUALLY walk out of a place with more than my money's worth.

Hands down best wings in town! They come out piping hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend the lemon pepper flavor. Service is quick and easy. Would definitely come again.

These are some of the best wings in Sacramento. Get the inferno for a spicy OG wing sauce that is almost unparalleled. Their beef bulgogi bowl (and various Korean dishes) are HELLZA good, and a nice break from tradition if you have that one dude in your party that doesn't do spicy. These pictures speak for themselves. Don't cheat yourself by going to one of those nasty chains. Support locally owned business that does more than enough for your hard earned dollar.

Great hot wings with them they give celery sticks. Which I enjoy. I haven't try the subs yet but they look yummy. Maybe next time.

I went in for the first time the other day I always thought they sold granite lol but sheeeeesh went inside today and got a steak sandwich and my girl got some lemon pepper wings. Maaan, food is very good quality. The flavor of the wings and crunch was much better than Wingstop and my hot sandwich was just as good or better than Jersey mikes. And the prices are very reasonable especially for the quality most items are around 10$. I can’t wait to come in and try something else 10/10

Very good wings at decent prices. I only wish the hottest wings were hotter. I'm not a huge fan of really hot things, but these are too tame even for me. The super insane really isn't. The flavor is very good though. If you want something with a nice sweet flavor go with the hot & sweet.

My first time visiting this location. I believe it's fairly new. The food is really good. Though I got a side of the Super Insane sauce (their hottest one) and it tasted really good but was not exactly super hot nor insane.... Which isn't necessarily a bad thing haha! I had the spicy Korean pork sandwich which was also very tasty but my order was messed up a little and I had to pay more for fries I ordered with the sandwich.

Their food is really good, but I feel like it's a bit overpriced. Don't get me wrong...I pay said price, I'm just not always happy about it. Well, until I partake of the deliciousness. So I guess I'm torn on that. At any rate, it's a good place to meet up with a friend for a yummy lunch.

Good eatery for the carnivore. They got a pastrami burger here that's very good. The salad is for legal purposes lol. Hot subs are great. They got won tons too. Come check them out.

One bad thing is the wings were so small. Great flavor. For basically 1$ each. Sweet and spicy was amazing

A bit slow on a Sunday. Just got some take out. Wings are on point!

I had purchased a turkey submarine sandwich, it took about 10 minutes. When I arrived home to eat the sub sandwich. I opened paper off of it and I checked inside the sandwich. It had contained the turkey, mayo, tomatoes, and hard chunks of lettuce. No sub dressing, bread was stale, hard chunks of lettuce, and lots of mayonnaise. I think the other food has issues as well. I noticed in the restaurant the microwave being used.

The service was nice, the wings were very average. The sign out front said the best wings. Not quite sure about that. But their location is good. The motif is left over from a '60s diner look. One smart TV had sports going alongside the Giants and A's calendar posters of season games, which was nice.

Good customer service. My first time here, I ordered fish & chips. I wish I had chosen something else for a first impression. I really wanted to like this place. Maybe, since I live so close, I'll go back and try something else at some point. The fish was unidentifiable. I guess it was fish. It was definitely horrible

Food was OK. Came out fresh. Had a hot Pastrami sandwich. Pastrami was really dry. My wife had Teriyaki wings. Meat was also dry. Sauce was a thick consistency: like they added corn starch or something. Interior wasn't bad, but has seen better days. Needs a visit from Robert Irvine I think.

Not sure what the hype is about this place. Tried to order a regular cheese steak with onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo and was told that I can't get it with lettuce and tomato but it's offered on the cold subs. They also offer fries and drink combo for the burgers. I tried to get that with the sub. Oh wait I am not allowed to do that either. The food was hot and decent and very cheesy. There could have been more steak on the sandwich for $12. Probably won't be back to be honest.

Come on granites, put a little toast or grill on that bun. The patty reminded me of the kind you get at Costco in a 24 pack. If it was seasoned, I couldn't tell. Please granites, fix these issues. I really want to like you again. I think I only rated it as high as 3 star because of nostalgia. P.s. take not from the one in Rio Linda, they're still pretty good.

Wings were just alright. Sub was sub par. Maybe I ordered the wrong flavors. Granite used to be super good. Clearly new ownership with less emphasis on the food taste and quality.

My heart sank... After getting the same plump crispy wings for 30+years management or ownership has changed at our beloved granites🤧 I truly hope the magic isn’t lost and this is just growing pains. -Very small overly cooked wings - sauce is different and watered down, doesn’t cling to the wings - bathroom was f *%#in hammered - prices increased while quality decreased

The best teriyaki wings I have ever had. The staff is amazing and personable. One of my favorite places around. I count the days until it's acceptable to get more wings 🤣 Had to update my review to 2 stars, they changed ownership and I was super disappointed in the changes they made to the recipes. The teriyaki sauce they use is completely different and is thick with no taste. 😒 sadly that was the only thing I order from there so I probably won't be ordering again. May try again in a few months just to see if it's still the same.

The longtime owners sold this place (4-6 months ago) and it's gone downhill ever since. The new owners that took over didn't have a clue of what they were doing. The wings were smaller and the hot sauces were disaster(apparently inferno is the new hot when it comes to any kind of kick) I felt a little bad because these owners were nice people,but they just didn't have a clue how to run a business like this. Here's a Hint...If you're going to raise prices make sure you have at least the same quality if not better when it comes to what you're serving. I haven't been back for a while,but I'm going to give them another shot pretty soon. Hopefully they figured it out.

2 stars because my sub sandwich and the potstickers were good. Wings tasted old. Fries had a frozen flavor. Onion rings old and half burned. People were nice. Service was on time. I would've gladly waited for fresh food.

For a wings place, the wings are small and just okay. Root beer freeze was great as always. #17 the turkey, bacon, avocado and cheese sandwich was fresh but not an amazing sandwich. Hot dogs are great here: cut in half and grilled. Hasn't been remodeled inside in decades. I mean tape on the vinyl seats?

Wings were sub par and absolutely do not live up to the name. Overcooked and just bland. Order super insane and it is just franks buffalo. What are the other flavors like nuclear? Idk. Wings were small and dry. I did not finish a plate of 10 because they were just not good. Really upset Google reviews tricked me into trying this place. Food, smallest wings I have ever seen, cold sandwich was so uninspired and boring. Hot sandwich had the smallest portion of meat ever. Service, well after trying 3 times to get changes to a sandwich I gave up and just took it like it came. Zucchini was terrible. The only positive was the bread on sandwich was fresh and soft. Don't waste your money here and shame on this place for what I know are false positive reviews!

Used to have good cheesesteak sandwiches. Now, not so much. All the cheese was melted onto the foil, the peppers and onions were barely cooked, very little flavor in the sandwich. Very disappointed I didn't go to Phat Jerry's instead. I not only didn't finish my sandwich, but threw it away. Definitely do not recommend the steak sandwiches.

This place does not deserve any stars whatsoever! Let me tell you why! First, we had to wait for over one hour to get our food despite being the only dine in people in the building. Many people were there for online pickups, BUT not even the online orders were prepared or ready to be picked up! Second, every order before and after us were able to place an order (online and in person) and grab their food and go! TO TOP IT ALL OFF, WE NEVER GOT OUR FOOD!!! Here we thought we were waiting to eat a delicious meal and come to find out the cooks CHOSE not to prepare or cook our order because they claim our order was “too large,” despite waiting over an hour with understanding the the amount of wait time we would have to endure. Larger orders were prepared and ready even though we ordered beforehand. People who placed orders the night previously did not receive their order as well! Their system is flawed, management is terrible, and their time management skills are nonexistent. They have no communication between the frontline of people and the cooks! I have never left a review before but this place deserved it!!! I do not recommend this place! Life is too short waiting hours for food!!!

This place has been really good for many years but not anymore. The fried mushrooms were from a JAR so they were extremely WET! The sandwiches (chicken teriyaki, roast beef & Korean Beef ) were ALL SOGGY & inedible. And the fried zucchini was just ok.
