Sushi Q

So glad I found this sushi restaurant. Signature sushiq roll was decent. Tempura octopus and shrimp are very tasty! My favorite part of this restaurant is their sashimi and nigiri. Excellent quality. Fresh Sashimi with delicious sauce and well decorated. I would definitely come back whenever I revisit Sacramento.

Everything was great! We just had a family dinner with our two small kids (1 and 2yo) and we all went home really happy! I had the sesame chicken plate and it was outstanding! Some of the best I’ve had. Really crispy and fresh with really tender chicken. The kids had the sesame chicken as well and they really enjoyed it. The booth seating was great for all of us. The service was great as well. Everyone was really friendly. There are not a lot of great food options in our area so we were really happy that this place lived up to all the hype!

This is one of best joints for Sush in Sacramento. Everything is really fresh and the portions are generous. The Sush bar is big, fun to be at and the service is great. It’s always a big treat to come in and enjoy ! Don’t come here for to go orders. The experience does not translate to the same experience.

If I could give this place more stars, I absolutely would. The sushi here is beyond amazing. The owner Q exemplifies outstanding management and customer service, and it truly reflects in his entire staff. Today, we indulged in four incredible rolls: the Crabby Roll, Dragon Roll, Scampi Roll, and the Uncle J Roll. Each bite was a delightful burst of flavors, meticulously crafted and exceptionally fresh. We started with two fantastic appetizers: Gyoza and Shrimp Tempura, both perfectly cooked and delicious. We also tried a new item, the Salmon Kama, which was an absolute treat – flavorful, tender, and mouthwatering. The food was exceptionally tasteful and bursting with flavors. We will definitely be back for more!

Amazing food! In terms of rolls, I think they are the best in Sac. Everyone loves their soft shell crab. Definitely ate more than we should have. Server was very nice and we had an excellent experience

When I saw the reviews about this place I hesitated to try. After a few months, I decided to give it a try and omg food was good!! Customer service was great. When I entered in, everyone even the sushi chefs greeted me. I ordered a chicken teriyaki place and a roll and waited around 20 minutes for the food. I didn't eat in, but the indoor looks clean and nice. Food itself were sooo good. The portions are huge especially the plate. Everything was worth it! I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

For a restaurant with an unassuming name, Sushi Q on Florin Road in Sacramento has creatively arranged food with great flavors and excellent service. Our water glasses were constantly filled. The miso soup was A+ and so were the entrees.

First time at the Florin location as it just recently opened up, I have went to the Elk Grove one before too. Both places have fresh sushi. I ordered 3 rolls and all were up to standards. Very happy that there is a Sushi Q near me now so will definitely be stopping by more often.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Prices are competitive. My favorite was the Tuna Blossom from the appetizer section of the menu, which had good texture and flavor. Just the right amount of spice as well. The fresh kushi oysters were great with the usual ponzu dressing, scallions & tobiko. The pickled wasabi kicks it up a notch. Who wants the powdered stuff anyway right??? The rolls were not impressive but I'm also not a big fan of rolls. I like it raw & sashimi lovers get what I mean by that. All in all, this is a good local joint to grab lunch and/or dinner.

Had cold sake unfiltered and that was a little sweet and yummy. I dont remember what the roll was called but the salmon roll in the middle was the best in my opinion. I brought my adult daughter here for her birthday. She didn't like either roll she ordered. Mine were pretty good, I got The Panda and Smoky Pig. We got edamame and chicken Kaarage. The food was was alright. I've had better. The atmosphere was decent, the music was good though. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Our server was not very attentive except when it was time for me to pay. Won't be coming back.

I got there in about an hour and was told it wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting another 25 minutes. I paid and didn’t even get my change either. Portions are super small! This is 2 orders… Update: My daughter found bones in one of her last sushi rolls.

This whole visit was a joke. I have been to sushi q several times. I have always gone to the one on Calvine and have enjoyed their food! It’s some of the best sushi we’ve had in Sacramento and we are always recommending people to try it. But that unfortunately will no longer be the case after today’s experience. I recently discovered the south land park location and was excited to check it out. I was incredibly disappointed. Not only was the food quality poor , but the service was even worse and overall concerning. I was given undercooked sesame chicken, the batter was still dough like and when I brought it to my servers attention she took it to the back to “see what they could do” she came back with the same plate and said that’s just the sauce that’s why it’s soggy and placed it down for me to eat it. I showed her my fiancé plate of chicken that was fully cooked and crispy. She brought it back with an attitude and after 4 different people looked at the plate and looked back at me several times they finally decided to “fix it”. It looked as if they refried the chicken, that was already on my plate, that had been touched by my chopsticks. The whole situation felt very unsanitary and unprofessional. My plate was passed around several times and the chicken still didn’t look to par. I asked for the item to be taken off my tab , as I didn’t eat it. I was told “I can’t do that for you” “ we’ve already tried helping you several times and that’s all we can do you still have to pay for this” I asked for a manager who conveniently wasn’t around at the time and the server said they were the acting manager right now. I was not willing to pay for food I didn’t eat. She gave us no option other then to walk out and not pay which isn’t how I choose to handle things so I unfortunately paid for food I left at the table. There was no concern to satisfy the customer , she was immediately hostile, didn’t ask questions or attempt to fix it, and honestly should not be in a position to serve as she represents the company and she did so very poorly. After several back and forths I asked for the managers contact info. She wrote a fake unfinished email down , I spoke to a sushi chef and he gave me the complete email. We asked for a side of insanity sauce, we received a drop of sauce in a tiny tin cup and were charged $0.75 for the sauce. (I have received a full cup at the other location). Not to mention there were several small bugs crawling on our table the whole time as well. This overall was a horrible experience and I will not be returning or recommending this establishment to anyone.
