Haven't had Del Taco in a few years. This did not disappoint. The staff was all very friendly and made sure I got everything. The food was piping hot and hit the spot!!!

The Del Taco I went to in Salida California is staffed with very friendly employees. The service was quick and painless. Their food is 10 times better than Taco Bell for about the same price.

Normally I never would give a fast food 5 stars unless they are on top of it and make a great experience. So here is one of those cool things that happened at Del Taco Modesto. They get Five stars because Maria ran to our table to let us know there had been a small mistake and the food had some secret sauce when we asked for no sauce. It's rare to find a dedicated employee who really sold the brand and fresh. She immediately stopped our friend from taking a bite and made sure there were no allergies to the sauce. He told her he is just prone to order no sauce and his meal was fine but they insisted he got the right tacos. Finally a fast food spot who thinks restaurant quality. I drive thru the area a bunch and will make time to stop and grab a taco....and big thumbs up for the Crinkle cut fries. They were great with chili and cheese.

Suddenly I shot off the freeway as I could see the DEL. Had to make a quick stop for the almighty ,,Cheese Cake Bites ,, Only buzzed the drive through, service was quick and the bites were amazing. Only thing is they could've had the min van in front of us the pull through. But overall good good.

Del Taco is always good. Food is always hot and fresh. The ladies who work here are always friendly and I hardly ever have to wait. Too bad Taco Bell couldn't follow their lead.

I've had some really good food from here and they allow me to use more than 1 coupon which helps me as a senior on a fixed income. Definitely will continue to buy meals from here. I like their menu and value menu

Better than Taco Bell in my opinion. Love the crinkle fries. It’s the best of both worlds. Great fries and decent tacos and burritos. Taco Bell would leap into first place between the 2 if they served the same fries.

The service was a bit slow, but I got my order correctly all the same, and the food was decently warm and fairly well assembled.

My first time having the Stuffed Quesadilla Crispy Chicken Taco. Surprised it was pretty big sized chicken strip and was tasty. It didn't have sauce that I noticed, but was still good. I'd order again. The drive thru took a while to go through, but I'm guessing Thursday for their taco day special it's busy.

My food was hot, fresh, and made in a timely manner but I was limited on what I ordered because there were no lights on the drive thru menu. I even thought for a second that maybe it was closed down for the night. Then when I pulled up to the window the light in front/above me was blinking light a strobe light. It was very bright and hard to miss. The lighting at this location definitely need to be maintained better.

1. They forgot to put my tacos in my order. 2. The tacos are smaller than I remember, not as filled, and beef doesn't taste as good as I remember.

The food both looked and tasted rushed. My quesadilla was practically attached to the wrapper with chunky cheese, it didn't taste fully cooked and I couldn't finish it. The fries tasted undercooked and were just soggy, the taco was fine though. The iced coffee was good as well.

Customer service is hit and miss. Sometimes they're very friendly and sometimes they can't even manage a smile or upbeat tone. My fish tacos have been very old to where the fish was chewy. I took one bite and discarded the rest. The one plus is that there's usually no line but that's probably because of the food and service. We only go here because they're closer to home.

The food is very great and fresh. Love the Chicken Avocado burrito. Going to go back as soon as we can. -- Ignored by the staff for minutes as they spoke Spanish, didn't say sorry for the wait after they were finished and decided to help us.. only after a Drive through order came in. She took the Drive through order first then took ours. Then the deep fryer was beeping for minutes as they stood next to it Chatting in Spanish. I guess their conversation is more important than customers. Minus two stars..

Seasoning was a little to much but good fast

I went here a long time ago, my parents got severely ill on the food, and there was a crappy diaper left on the side, which, while I was sliding down, almost landed on it🤢. Some attendant there came to clean it but didn’t even use cleaner, she just sweeper it into a dust pan. I must admit though that the playground was pretty fun and big.

So there I was… Sitting in the drive-thru line, minding my business, waiting for my turn to order. When I finally get to speak to the lady over the voice box, I ask a simple question: “What’s on the carnitas quesadilla?” She replies, “Meat, cheese, and some sauce.” Sounds good. I say, “Cool, I’ll take the carnitas quesadilla meal at the top of the menu—no sauce, please.” She agrees. Simple enough. Then, the wait begins. I sit there for what feels like a small eternity. Good thing TikTok and Instagram exist, otherwise I would’ve had to rely on my own thoughts—and let’s be honest, no one wants that while stuck in a slow-moving drive-thru. I had about three cars ahead of me, but somehow I was there for 15, maybe 20 minutes. Finally, like every weary traveler before me, I make it to the window. The lady there is actually very nice. She greets me, taps my card, disappears for a moment, and returns with my order. I’m in a bit of a rush—got somewhere to be in a couple hours—so I thank her, take the bag, and drive off. I open it up, expecting my glorious quesadilla and fries. Well, I got the fries (they were actually pretty good), but instead of a quesadilla... I see a burrito. At this point, I'm annoyed. I didn’t want to go into the restaurant—that’s why I chose the drive-thru—but here we are. I park and take a look at my receipt fully expecting it to say carnitas quesadilla with no sauce,But the receipt says “burrito,” I know I don’t really have a leg to stand on. I mean, I’ve got a couple of beefy legs, but neither of them is a carnitas quesadilla, unfortunately. So I sigh, accept my burrito fate, and head back to the freeway. I unwrap the thing, dress it up with some mild sauce, then wrap it back up like a newborn being swaddled in a freshly warmed hospital towel. I take a bite… and instantly regret it. The carnitas taste burnt—like it was scraped off a grill that should’ve been cleaned five hours ago. It smelled like scorched metal and tasted about the same. But I’m a wide-bodied human, and I needed something in my stomach, so I powered through about ¾ of the fries and less than half the burrito before surrendering and tossing the rest. I left feeling disappointed and robbed—like I’d just thrown my money into a black hole or paid taxes straight to the void. I really wanted to say something good about this visit. I live two hours away, so I can’t just swing by and make it right. The only positive? The woman at the window was very kind. But the order? It got jack-O-saurus wrecked. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location… not in the future, and definitely not even if I get access to a time machine.

Just not as good as mexican food or fast food mexican like taco bell. Flavoring is bland. I gave it a 2nd try and felt the same. 2 stars for good customer service and kid play area

The dining area was empty, but I noticed the ceiling fans were dirty. The restroom was filthy, and there was a sign that said, "Please don't pee in the trash." The lady who took my order was having her own conversation with the other lady in the back. I asked for ketchup, and she just looked at me, gave me some ketchup, and kept talking to her lady friend. First and last time, we'll stop there when traveling through.

This location could look more inviting if they cleaned up around the building. Fries we're cold asked for hot fries guess I should have asked for FRESH HOT FRIES, because what I got was double oil dipped fries... Sad to say not a good location for what I normally experience at Del Taco.

That had to be the most horrible experience I've ever had at a Del Taco. The food was cold and sloppy. The French fries were cold and soft. I requested Sweet and low to sweeten my tea. However, instead of offering something to replace S&L, because they didn't have it, the employee was allowing me to drive off without sweetener. I encouraged her to verbalize being out of something and offering a replacement for future customers. She just appeared puzzled. Years ago, I couldn't wait for Del Taco to branch out of So Cal into Nor Cal, and now that they have, they're just disappointing.

Would rate zero if I could. Place was clean enough, but the attitude of the workers left much to be desired. Was rushed while ordering inside and we were the only people in the dining room. They messed up a cheese quesadilla by putting chicken on it, and when I went to get it fixed they acted like it was my fault it messed up. Won't be coming back here.

The other day, I was in the drive thru for 50 minutes. When I finally got to the window, they didn’t even tell me what was going on. I know things happen, but not even a simple sorry or reason? They had zero sense of urgency! I even watched the workers stand around and talk and laugh when a car drove away. When I finally got my food it was disgustingly cold, which was expected. Last night I went again to give them another chance, thinking it was just some sort of fluke in the system. I went through the drive thru and nobody answered. It was closed. It was only 11:00pm, they were supposed to be open until 2am. What, you guys just didn’t feel like staying open? I never ever leave bad reviews because it makes me feel gross but this place is just a complete and utter joke. I’m grateful they’ve never given me meat tacos when I only order beyond tacos, I guess?

Extremely disappointed with the experience we had here. My boyfriend and I are both vegan and don’t consume any meat or dairy so we ordered two beyond avocado taco meals, once we arrived home, we realized that all of the tacos were the regular beyond tacos (which include cheese) and one of the four tacos had ACTUAL BEEF. We called to let them know and there was no answer, left a message about the experience to see if they could at least comp the meals and never got a call back. This is a huge mistake to make on specifically meat free meals.
