Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, and the service was excellent. All the dishes arrived promptly, no delays at all. I recommend the cochinita pibil, the suckling pig, and the Poc Chuc, but in general, everything is good. The relleno negro and the pastor are also great, the garlic dressing adds a nice flavor, and the habanero salsa is good. 🫰🏼
It's a great place and the staff is very attentive, we went during peak hour and despite that the service was excellent and the quality of the food was very good, I already knew the place as a Bar, but not for food and everything surprised me, the cochinita has great flavor, the black pastor is very good, everything we tried was a 10/10 and the portions and prices were very reasonable, definitely a place to return to and recommend
The very best of town!
I was really looking forward to going to this place and was a little disappointed. I liked the food; the cochinita pibil was excellent. However, I noticed that tables of two are offered a more limited menu. I say this because the table next to us (there were four of us) had a more extensive menu, and I really wanted to try other options. The cochinita pibil torta I ordered, although good, seemed small for the price. My boyfriend ordered a gringa, but he thought it was a little salty; maybe it was the cheese. The service was "good." One girl was very friendly to us, but a guy seemed "annoyed."
The Campeche-style stews and the Negra Tomasa were delicious. The bread for the "torta" was very, very good. Everything came out fairly quickly, and although the waiter seemed to ignore us at first because we were waiting for more friends, he was pleasant. The cocktails are good and well-made. It's not a 5-star restaurant only because the salbute was decent and because there's better suckling pig and cochinita nearby.
The food is delicious. The panuchos look more like tostadas than panuchos, but they're delicious. The meat has good flavor, and the food itself is well-seasoned. The place is small and has a lot of flies. We think they put some insecticide on it, which is fine, but the flies fall dead on the table or on you while you're eating. The service could be much better, but they only have one waitress.
An excellent place… the service was very friendly and fast, the dishes were very well-seasoned and well-served… the menu was simple but adequate… They should have clearly stated their hours, since they aren't the ones shown here, and one arrives with those in mind… and honestly, the music at the end of the meal didn't seem appropriate for a meal!
Nice
The place is quite nice, although it doesn't have proper tables for families; most of the seating is bar-style. The food is flavorful and well-seasoned, and the tacos and tortas are generously portioned at very reasonable prices. I recommend starting with the three main tacos: Cochinita Pibil, Lechón, and Pastor Negro, along with a mojito 👌. The service, in general, leaves much to be desired. They're slow and distracted; everyone tries to serve you, and in the end, they just get confused. It takes a long time to get a taco with the filling already cooked. Overall, it's a good place with good food, and quite pleasant.
We went to this place while looking for breakfast. We love Yucatecan food, and they do have some delicious items. I really liked the dessert of bread with sugarcane honey and raisins. It's a very small place, and it's very nice. You can feel the people's hearts when they serve you. It's a place that needs to expand soon or change its furnishings a bit so we'll be more comfortable eating all the delicious things they prepare. 👍🏼😍💙🤍
I have to give it a second chance. It took them over two hours to bring my entire order because they forgot to write it down on their cell phone. They brought everything piecemeal, and after almost an hour and a half, they told me: "Excuse me, we don't have what you ordered anymore, can I offer you this?" It's not the guys' fault; it seems they can't keep up. The cocktail glasses were broken, the bar stools were very unsteady. Many accessories were missing.
On October 11th, around 5 pm, a group of nine friends and I went to eat at this restaurant. We ordered practically every dish they offer: cochinita pibil, pastor negro, and lechón. From that morning onward, and for three days afterward, all nine of us suffered terrible stomach and intestinal pains, as well as a severe infection. That day, I ran into a couple of acquaintances at the restaurant, and they also got sick. In total, there were eleven of us (that I know of). Naturally, we were extremely upset, and understandably so. Therefore, I messaged the restaurant on Instagram demanding at least a refund for the bill, given the ordeal they put us through due to their poor food service. They contacted me through Instagram, giving me the runaround, asking for receipts, the time we ate, the names and IDs of everyone who was there—practically witnesses, testimonials—they almost asked for my birth certificate and a picture of my bathroom... all to avoid taking responsibility. They repeatedly told me they had NEVER had a case like ours (which is false because there are at least 3 or 4 other users who left reviews saying they got sick too). Besides... I don't care that it's never happened to them before... I'm reporting 11 people getting sick on the same day... that's EXTREMELY SERIOUS for a food establishment. After several days of exchanging messages, they offered to refund the amount with a voucher to use at any of their restaurants again 😡!!!!... unbelievable but true... of course I will NEVER eat at any of their restaurants again.... and well, finally... after all the anger, the frustration, and taking a very intense stance, I managed to get them to at least deign to refund some of what we had paid for the bill (a measly $150 pesos per person).... but of course.... they made us go one by one to pick up the money and sign a letter where we left our name, email, phone number, INE ID number, signature... as if we were the ones to blame... pfff after ALL that.... now they're writing to us asking for photos of our INE (voter ID) front and back... to "close their case"... PLEASE... start checking your food and stop poisoning people..... instead of being Wasting our time with all this... an apology and my money back would have been VERY KIND of you... asking for my INE (Mexican voter ID) violates my data privacy 😒😒😒... anyway. I'm sorry for getting sick at your establishment with its poor quality food and terrible service. I hope COFEPRIS (Mexico's Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks) reads this...
What a disgrace! It's in the top 3 of the worst places I've been to in Puebla. In a good way... I don't understand why the hell they have a 4.7. What's up with the bad taste of the Poblana gang? Or are their customers foreigners who aren't demanding and will settle for any taco other than asada and al pastor? The service is bad, really, really bad! It can't be that I walked in and no one greeted me, no one greeted me even though I said hello... no one cared about me/us. You don't feel pampered. I understand they have a lot of work, but it's like something basic. Politeness is not at odds with anything. While the guy who served us did his job: taking orders, serving, and clearing plates... there was no extra. 0 helpfulness, 0 charisma... well, how could it not be!!!? They only have one guy serving as a waiter, making drinks, collecting the money... a tremendous effort. They can't afford more staff and want one person to do everything. Exploitative!!!! Then they say they don't accept card payments, but they'll take a terminal to the table next to them. Only cash or wire transfer. SAT here 🫢 Excruciatingly slow! Excessively expensive! While the food isn't bad, it's not the best for the price they charge. The noodles and bean broth are flavorless. The lemon juice is very average and tiny for what it costs. The bathroom has no water. They can say a lot if they answer. I'll never go back, and whenever they ask me about the worst places in Puebla, I'll obviously name them. It's honestly like the second place I haven't tipped in my life. That's how horrible! I wasted my money in this place. If I could, I'd give them -1,000,000 stars! People should have better taste and not settle for places like this.
