This was our first time here and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious..the brisket so tender. And lots of drink options. Even Kool Aid! I haven't had that with BBQ since forever! Service was great! Always getting checked on to see if we need anything. We even ordered some food to go! Will definitely be coming back!

This place is GREAT!!!! From the Texas tater( a TRUE one sized potatoe) which baked potatoe lovers should rejoice, Brisket Sandwich to their full order of Not your mama's nachos, which were piled high ( highly ,highly recommend for a party of 4, half order for yourself or two and there picture posted hold true which you will see a full order to half of what I can finish and was fully loaded) and deserts from oreo cheesecake to the banana pudding were tasty! Mac and cheese was very very tasty, highly recommend!!! They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from such as three kool aid style drinks, horchata, and sodas to sweet /unsweetened teas. Service is on point and very friendly from beginning to end going above and beyond making our experience enjoyable that i wish alot of corporate resturants would offer. Ambience is well lit and has a country vibe which is relaxing. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed.Support small local business!!!!!!! This is a new BBQ place we saw off of Military drive recently. It’s a really good, solid BBQ place. TBH e brisket was very tender. The sides were really good as well. We tried the sweet potato casserole, potato salad, Cole slaw & Mac & cheese, all were very good. This is worth a try!

Great location! Lots of parking and lots of seating indoors. Food is delicious! Family friendly restaurant with great options on the menu. Drinks are self served with free refills. Handicapped parking available.

I was in the area ans felt hungry, it was 0230 in the afternoon. I placed my order and was met at my table by the most courteous young adults. My plasticware, along with napkin bbq sauce and food were brought to my table. Now to the food. When I arrived, again at 0230 pm, the place is open till 8 pm, I was informed that they were out of ribs, turkey, nachos and a couple of other items. I have since read several other reviews where people mentioned this same issue, the place running out of food. Of course it could be that the food is so good, you need to get here early to be able to enjoy whatever you want. Or someone is not entirely accurate as to how much to prepare for the day. I had a perfectly tender and moist brisket, along with finger licking chicken, and mouth watering sausage. They also make some very delicious brisket beans and cream corn. Overall, this was a good experience complimented by the great service. Now I only wish I could have tasted the ribs.😒

So this is my first visit to barbecue Republic. They just recently moved from their original location to this new spot. Came on a Saturday night at 6:20. Not very crowded, nobody was in line so I walked right up to the counter to order. To meet plate with brisket and sausage comes with two sides I chose beans and macaroni and cheese and a large drink. 18.95 for the two meat plate and 3.99 for the drink. With tax it came a few pennies short of $25. Might have been worth the price of the brisket Seth they gave me was better. It seem like I got a lot of bark and no meat. It was really disappointing in the portion of brisket that they gave me. Not just the amount but the pieces were very disappointing. The sausage and beans and mac and cheese were all good. But the brisket is what gave the food three stars. Perhaps when I give this place a try in the future it will be much earlier in the day, maybe not on a Saturday evening and get a better selection of brisket. Would I recommend it? most certainly and like I said I'll be back. But next time if my brisket is the same that I got this time I will take it back and ask for it to be changed out.

Cool place. The barbecue is okay, just okay. Pretty mediocre. Far from the best but it's smoked meat and I love smoked meat. Everything was cooked correctly as far as tenderness. That was on point for sure. If they really want to turn some heads they need to work on their seasonings. If I'm hungry I'll stop back in. It's 1 notch above Bill Miller's.

I was in the area and wanted to give this place a try. Overall my meal was ok and was a good value. They were out of macaroni cheese during my visit so I got the beans instead. Again not bad and the pudding was good but on the smaller side. The service was the true highlight of the visit as the stopped by frequently to check on things. Worth a go if in the area.

Place was clean. Only good part from here was the sweet tea. Nothing wrong with HEB potato salad and cheap HEB bread as I sometimes buy it for my home. But when you are going out to eat and paying almost $20 something for a plate you expect homemade sides. Potato salad is from HEB and so is the bread it was dry and hard. Now the bbq is the worst we've had, brisket was tender and rubbery lacked in flavor, sausage was dry and had an off taste, chicken was dry no flavor. Bbq sauce was a hard no, spicy sauce is tabasco sauce and something sweet, the other is very sweet and tangy. The sweet tea was great though.

Don’t let this video trick you.. it looks phenomenal… but it taste OK.. for $18.99… I don’t think it’s worth it. They just loaded with beans, pico de gallo, and sour cream… I would say if we got a half a cup of chopped brisket… are you gonna put no brisket on the nachos that’s so crazy to me… it was a big quantity, but it was just more chips than anything… I’m really disappointed in this restaurant. I’d rather go to Rudy’s and eat better…. When I say that one big positive thing is that pumpkin cheese cheesecake was delicious…. And the mac & cheese was OK.

I visited your location at approximately 4:30 and ordered the full order of nachos. Upon inspection, I found the nachos to be lacking in cheese. I requested additional cheese from the cashier, but was asked to pay for it. Given the insufficient cheese, I declined to pay. The cashier responded with 'it is what it is.' The cheese that was provided was cold, and the brisket was also cold. The dish was mostly chips with little cheese and meat. Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy the product despite spending a significant amount of money.

Never again. The counter lady should be doing dishes, not customer service. Third time here. My orders are never ready on time, 30 mins from when I call in to when I get there to pick up. The front counter lady is rude and has NO clue what's going on. The bus boy always has to help her understand what's going on and get the order. Dry and underweight. Scraps. SCRAPS! The food was just alright this time. Awful portion, of scrap. Apparently they moved after my last visit in April 2025. I see the reviews are all 1 star. Guess my first visit was a fluke of goodness. Firstly, this was not my intended bbq spot. I'd stopped by a bbq place somewhere along this road and had a good meal about a month or two ago. Looked at maps and thought this was the place. It wasn't. Glad it wasn't. Ordered online. I was 25 minutes later than the ready time. It wasn't ready. Their machines weren't working. Walked the dog about 10 minutes, came back and they were making me a fresh banana pudding. Waited a few more minutes. The young man taking care of the dessert was a doll. He checked with the other two girls to make sure everything was in the bag. So glad I accidentally ordered here. I've passed by hundreds of times but they're always closed. This was my first time and I loved it! Sampler plate, excellent. 1/4lb brisket, didn't want to put it down. Mac and cheese was great. I ate it about 2 hours after picking up, so it was cold, also could not put down. The cream corn was delicious. The amazing woman who made me that banana pudding, you are blessed! That was the most creative setup internally, adorable presentation and perfect taste and texture to the pudding and the fresh banana slices!! You are my hero!
