Quick delicious and affordable! I went through the drive through and ordered 4 meals and a milkshake all for under $40. The staff were polite and really enjoyable to talk to while we waited. This place has a really cool retro vibe that complimented the old fashion style burger and shake. Crinkle fries were a nice touch too.

We love this Burger Boy! The inside line is always pretty short, the service is always great, and the food is always fresh. My group of three had come in for a quick dinner just after we had to put our dog down, so we really weren’t in the mood to laugh, but Kenny made this experience memorable by bringing smiles back to our faces. A great place to grab a burger combo without breaking the bank. They are drive-thru or takeout only. No dining inside. Close enough to the park to get a bite and have a picnic. Burger cooked well but not dry, fries just right as always. Employees were friendly and accommodating.

I can't say enough about this place. I moved from SA and every time I go back, I have to visit this location. I transitioned from being a Whataburger lover to Burger boy. Parking is a bit tricky here though, but still worth it. Food is fresh every time!! I will be back soon.

The overtime (triple patties burger) was legit. It’s greasy and delicious. The French fries were hot and crunchy. Orders came out quick even though the drive-thru was hopping. The price of the meal was $13. Very economical. Would def go back again

Burger Boy was such a great choice for lunch today. I ordered the Working Man combo (Double Boy, lg. fries, lg l. drink), added cheese, and opted for the Famous Dreamsicle Shake. First off, the burger was excellent. If you want a great, no frills, tasty burger...this is the place to go. The shake was great, and you will not believe the variety of flavors available. From what I can see, they are all delicious. Highly recommended!

We came down to San Antonio for my son’s graduation from Oklahoma City. We were driving and had gotten hungry. Seen a sign that had Burger Boy turn right, off the highway. So we did. Cool little neighborhood. Seemed a little sketchy, but, not enough for us to detour somewhere else. We pulled up and a lady name Jenna (I believe) was taking our order outside. When we pulled up, she had such great energy and was very helpful figuring out what to order. I got a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake, a double burger and fries. My wife got a single burger and fries. When we got back to the hotel and ate it, WOW! It was amazing! I can only imagine what it taste like fresh right there. Even 10 minutes after it was cooked it was still excellent. And the fries were great too. They are bigger crinkle cut fries but were crispy! I highly recommend going there. Also, I believe management should invest in Jenna. She is an employee that I would love to have working for me. It’s hard to find people with such a great attitude as she did. Thank you Jenna.

Great local chain that satisfies my late-night burger crave! Love the crinkle cut fries!! And the location off St. Marys strip!! They have a couple tables outside for dining which I love!!! If you are old enough to Remember Floyds Dairy Bar on Goliad (now a fruit in a cup spot) these burgers took me back to that 5 burgers for $2.99 time in my life. The flavor reminded me of that so much, but in an all around better package. Staff has been exceedingly friendly and helpful. When I am in SA this will be the number 1 choice for a burger moving forward. Loaded Fries are Fantastic, as well as the shakes. Big Red shake especially.

Ricky went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — he double-checked my order, made great recommendations (you have to try the [insert specific item if you want to customize it, e.g., spicy bacon burger or loaded fries]), and even came by afterward to see how everything tasted. It’s rare these days to find someone who truly loves what they do, but Ricky’s positive attitude and customer service made a huge difference. Fantastic option to get a burger and fries when you’re over at the wine bar next door! Of all the traditional fast food burgers, this is probably my favorite one! Late busy Saturday night and they are all still smiling and the most joyful ppl around! The one time I really want to tip. Food was good, had hot dog, fish sandwich, Creamsicle shake, orange freeze, but would return for the wonderful welcome. Older facilities, small, limited seating inside, restrooms outside, outdoor seating by ppl watching street. Drive up. Hard to see where the entrance was for walk ins, it is in the back, not street entrance.

Burger Boy hamburgers remind me of eating hamburgers at a church festival. I love the taste of all the veggies, mustard and beef patty and the buns with a smidgen of burger grease. This location is a very small but quaint restaurant. We ate inside on the counter. The staff was friendly and professional. It's amazing how busy they are even when it's not a peek meal time.

A cute and quaint find! Stumbled upon this location while checking out a local venue @papertiger. This casual dining experience is a must. It's a no fuss, classic burger stand. It's a classic burger completed at its finest. It's hot, it's fresh, it's juicy. Burgers are served with crinkle fries, but best of all is their orange dreamsicle! It's a nostalgic flavor topped with rainbow sprinkles. Greeted by friendly service! I dinned inside in their limited space. There are 3 outdoor tables to dine at. Tight parking. Note: I think this is the original location. A must visit if you're in the area.

We stopped here to get something to eat after arriving late into San Antonio. We went through their drivethu and ordered the bugers and fries. It was very difficult placing an order through the drivethu as their speaker was horrible and almost useless. However we were able to place our order. The burgers and fries were delicious but you don't get that many fries. We will have to give them another try on our next visit. Hopefully the speaker will be working properly.

We visited Burger Boy which touts itself as home to award-winning, old-fashioned burgers and shakes and a no-frills burger joint serving San Antonio for over 30 years for dinner a few days ago. We went through the drive through and was serviced pretty quickly by Zack even though there was a line. Thanks Zack for excellent customer service! We each got the Working Man special consisting of a Double Boy hamburger, a regular size order of French fries and regular drink (we got sweet tea and lemonade). These are the best burgers around. The ground beef was moist and well seasoned. A welcome change from getting dry burgers at other places. The French fries were also well seasoned. All of the food was freshly made and piping hot. Hubby also ordered a Hot Dog was also really good. Iced tea and lemonade were very good. We would definitely recommend Burger Boy and will certainly be returning again.

Love me some burger boy. My first time here and I honestly don’t know what to expect since I am from out of town. Pulling in, I can already tell you the car park for this establishment is on the small side, little to none, so just be aware, but certainly equipped with a drive-through for the grab and go. I have yet to be inside to witness the atmosphere of it all, but I can speak a little but on the staff. They were kind and helpful when I was confused about what to choose for myself. The meat was seasoned nicely, hot, and juicy. Good fries and I saw that they offered milkshakes in a large variety so I couldn’t say no, obviously. And that milkshake was good too! I’d recommend it to first timers as well, don’t skimp, grab that shake, you know if you’re good with dairy.

Oh boy! I have no words...this is by far the best burger I’ve eaten in a long time. Nice, greasy, soft buns, fresh veggies, real beef patty and Kraft cheese slice. So fresh and tasty. The burgers were good, kind of surprised at how little the fries were though. There must have been 8 or so fries in the little bag. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake was really good, not too overpowering. A solid place to stop by for lunch.

I did a drive thru so I couldn't see the inside but the exterior was gorgeous. The fries were decent and the burger was very normal. The patty is thin which is what I like about it, but part of it was rare-well done and had a strange after taste.

I ordered two working man burger meals. Really loved the burger not gonna lie it was real hardy and heavy. Not a fan of the crinkle fries. The price is very decent I payed around $19 for two meals ( which is what you’ll pay for two meals at any other fast food burger place like mcdonalds or whataburger ) meal also comes with large fries and large drinks .Service was really fast , I forgot to add extra onions on one of my burgers so I added last minute I didn’t even think they bothered to make the change because of how fast it came out but they did add the onions. Real fast real simple real good.

First Burger Boy experience... five stars for the service and the value, but as much as it pains me to say it, I was disappointed overall. The idea of a 4.7-star burger chain really excited me, so perhaps my expectations were simply too high. The food was fine, but none of the four of us was especially excited with our meal. The presentation falls a little flat which would have been fine if the taste had been more memorable. The interior is quaint and reminiscent of old-fashioned burger joints, but with fewer than a dozen counter-top seats inside, you probably aren't coming for the ambience. The staff was extremely friendly (... like seriously courteous and amazing people!) and fast with the food. The food (burgers, chicken sandwich, loaded and plain fries, and a variety of shakes) was enjoyable enough especially for the price, but no item was so distinctively tasty that we would make a deliberate return trip. The exception that may bring us back for more is their unique shake options, like dreamsicle, Fruity Pebbles, and root beer.

I love food here but I'm just going to have to stop going every single time I go they messed something up on my order I just went and I got the loaded fries and other items I got two loaded fries…

The manager was a hard worker and brought us our drinks while waiting. This place had a friendly environment. Small restaurant but quaint.

I decided to give this place a try as several San Antonio locals had strongly recommended it throughout my trip. It was a good experience as far as the restaurant being clean & service being fast…

Ordered a chicken sandwich, three burgers and a kids hot dog. Once I was halfway through my sandwich I begin feeling nauseous and my stomach hurt. I begin to inspect the food and realized the lettuce was ugly and had a black part. Stopped eating the sandwich. Hopefully it doesn’t affect my baby I breastfeed.

The burger was 10/10. I got the working man combo. Fries were crunchy but needed a little salt. I got a DP to drink and it was a little flat. It was my first time going.

This was my first visit. For newcomers, it would be nice to see what toppings are offered on the drive thru menu. The burger was OK and the fries weren’t evenly seasoned. Be sure to ask for light ice, they fill the cup to the top with ice. They were incredibly quick for a lunch hour but unfortunately, I think the expediency is at the cost of customer service. No greetings, no smiles.

My sister and her girlfriend love Burger Boy, they have been eating there for years so I finally got around to checking it out. There were two cars ahead of us in the drive thru, it took about 20 minutes from the time we ordered until the time we received our food, not too bad but I didn't think it would take that long. I ordered a Dr. Pepper, but got a Root Beer instead. The fries were pretty darn good but for being a size large they were on the small side. The burger was tasty but a combination of the grease and watery tomato made it soggy. $20.00 for two people, we ordered 2 Working Man meals with cheese on both.

I had an order go bad about a month ago. The girl with the marijuana tattoo on her lip took my order... There were hardly any fries. I wrote a review and was called within a half an hour. The manager said they would put my name in a book and I would get a free meal next time. Well about a month later, TONIGHT, I went back. They looked in the very messy book and could not find my name... They gave me Kenny's number but Kenny did not answer after several calls. I paid for my meal. I got home and realized I did not get a drink. I went back and got the drink and asked If there was a receipt in the bag.. there was not. What a terribly runed restaurant. If you have a complaint you can plan on then telling you one thing but then when you go back NOBODY KNOWS A THING. Terrible service!!!!!!!!!!! Should I ever return?? I asked for no cheese on my son's burger because he is lactose intolerant. They still put cheese and charged me for it. He couldn't even eat it. I also got 2 shakes and asked the girl at the windows to take off cheese and refused.

First time visit and me and my husband were unimpressed. The food is not worth the hype I've heard. The patty was the same thickness as the tomato slice. There is more bun than burger patty when you get the bates special, and it was dry and under seasoned to top it off. Their regular fry is about the same size as a McDonald's small. To make it more disappointing, we got an extra patty put on one burger, the lady at the window asked us multiple times which burger we wanted it on, and they put it in a box on the side anyways. We are unlikely to return.

This was my first trip to this location and was unfortunately extremely disappointed. When I took a bite into my sandwich it was inedible. The chicken was completely raw and extremely chewy!! Hoping it was just a one time thing!

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the overtime, which is a triple boy with fries and a drink. Ordered burger with no lettuce, no onions, and added jalepenos and bacon. Ended up getting a double boy with lettuce and onions and no jalepenos or bacon. I guess I should check my order in front of them before I leave and not assume it will be right. Was already back at work before I figured it out and had to throw it away.

I love this place so much but they gave me an unspeakable and inedible hot dog. See pic below. I have been going to “Whopper Burger” since I was a child and am very disappointed in that nasty thing they served me. I would just like to ask if they would want to serve this to a loved one? How could they be proud of serving this thing in the photo? I don’t understand and smh. I am very saddened by what they call good food. Will not recommend anymore. A picture is worth a thousand words... This burger is from down the street 3 minutes away at Central Market on Broadway... Due to the fact there was no parking at this Burger Boy because the spots they had were occupied by two employee vehicles Park sideways to take up the spots... When I asked I was told, it's only employee parking... So I had to go get my burgers somewhere else... And trust me it was worth going somewhere else...

Came in from out of town. I wanted a burger and a shake. Im in Dennys parking lot looking to for options. I change my mind and take public transportation to the restaurant. The hours say they are open. I get there and the place is under remodeling from fire damage. I check google again. It says they are open now. No burger. No fries. No dreamsicle.

Was really excited as it was me and my partners first time here. I asked for recommendations as it was our first time and there was no menu visible. all our server said was “burgers are made to order” with a monotone voice. someone like that should not be handling customers. ps the cashier girl inside was absolutely sweet and helpful.

My Review is based on my May 10, 2024 visit... I've only been to this location because this is the only location that was closest to me about 20 minutes away BUT it USED to be worth it. Then I discovered they opened a Burger Boy 3 minutes away from me BUT for some reason the menus are different, what's on the St. Mary's menu isn't on the Military menu, hence why I have to go out of my way to this location. The only 2 visits to the new location on SW Military didn't have good service either. After driving out of my way, my order and meals were so unappealing, bland, sloppy, stale, with old gooey lettuce, smashed buns and just gross, it was a waste of time, gas and money. I guess Burger Boy is NO LONGER an option to eat at, visit and order from sine both locations have served me horrible food and the other doesn't have the same items as the St. Mary's location. Nonetheless, no loss here, it's not like it'll be my loss for no longer supporting Burger Boys Burgers. The photos speak for themselves, I literally paid for 4 meals that ended up in the trash and being that it's 20 minutes away, it's not like I could've driven back for it to be corrected. Check your orders before leaving to make sure they're to your liking and fresh.
