Dragon Bowl Z is praised for its delicious and affordable Puerto Rican/Asian fusion cuisine, especially the Mofongo and Orange Chicken. Many reviewers highlight the large portions and fast service. The gas station location is a drawback for some, but the food quality makes it worthwhile.

amazing hidden gem right off the highway of I 10 came in. They are still serving breakfast tacos for lunch. Great entrées, great tacos I recommend that people come try it out. I love my tacos my breakfast taco, and if I knew I would have lunch here too
I enjoyed the lunch special of orange chicken w/fried rice & eggroll. It was tasty & a large portion. Good value for your dollar! Looks spotlessly clean & the staff (owner?) super friendly. It's inside the gas station store so it's to go & delivery orders only, or there are 2 picnic tables outside. I'll be going back to try other menu items. This is a great addition to our Leon Springs/Fair Oaks Ranch community.
This food is actually so damn good. My husband is Puerto Rican, so we know authentic cuisine. And this place is a good mix. The mofongo is so good and the tostones are like home. I hope one day this place could get their own space for a small restaurant bc they deserve one! So good
The food is good. Unique, for sure. The only thing would be great if the staff would be able to interact with us. The food is unique, and not one person asked if we needed help with the menu. You would want to help your customers with the menu... but the food was made quickly. At least we tried it!
I must say…. AMAZING. I ordered “el surtido caribeño” which could feed 2-3 people easy. The bolitas de mofongo were soooo delicious it was hard to share them. I normally eat tostones and mofongo with “mayo ketchup” but this was filled with so much flavor I didn’t even need it. The Latin wontons were exactly what I expected… delicious! The carne frita wasn’t dry and chewy like you’d expect, it was so good. And the chicharrón de pollo was my daughters favorite. I will definitely go back!!
All I gotta say I am NOT a gas station kinda gal BUT don't let the location deter you, all i gotta say is OMG it was AMAZING food was excellent, hot, and great portion size when you get a chance take a drive to go try, you won't be disappointed THANK YOU FOR a delicious lunch
This is a WOW!!!! We expected good, but with all honesty, this is BEYOND GOOD. Service was mega Amazing, front people where very helpful, the food (OMG) the foooooooddddd.... El Mofongo de Camarones, brutal, la carne frita, perfecta, el arroz riquisimo, y el Orange chicken, el mejor que me eh comido. Tienen que venir, and try it out.
Food is quick, hot and delicious. While I am not crazy about the egg rolls there is plenty of other items to chow down on. Good bang for your $$, meaning portions are large. The atmosphere is an Exon gas station, so yes, you are in the right place. I found the staff friendly, helpful with awesome attitudes, that’s an A++. You owe it to yourself to give it a try. My husband LOVES the Hot and Sour soup. If you live in the area remember the Dragon Bowl.

Great tacos, filled up and hot ready to go. The chicharron gisado Is off the chain, asada is on point and all breakfast tacos are great tasting. Go here every morning for tacos if not every other morning
I’m going to give this a legit 5 starts. Food was so good I had to stop and write a review to make sure they get the recognition they deserve. So far I’ve had their fajita taco. The beef was so tender it fell apart without having too chew much and it’s got great fajita flavor too. Got my food to go and when I got back home the food was still steaming. They do a great job wrapping your tacos in tin foil to make sure it don’t get cold. I can’t finish writing this review without talking about the gentlemen who helped me. He was so kind and polite and had great customer service. He was kind enough to let me try their chicharrón and it was amazing. Definitely a must try. I
Gas station business. Food was great. Owner offers amazing customer service (keep in mind this is a damn gas station restaurant). Owner offered samples and the lemonade was the perfect ratio of lemon:sugar:water. Y SI, si es una buena aproximación a los chinos de PR.
The food was amazing and the service was great. We tried the fried rice, birria egg rolls, tostones, mofongo de carne frita & mofongo de chicharron de pollo. Everything was awesome. We will definitely be back.
Great quality and service. I will definitely be back to try out other menu items. My favorite were the tostones and the birria egg rolls.

WHERE EVERYONE IS A VIP!!! Seve made my whole work crew feel like VIP’s. Service was super fast and the food was amazing. Great cooks and everything on the menu is a big portion and very affordable. Also next to a gas station for a pit stop. CHECK THEM OUT TODAY!!! Thank you!
Food goes crazy. I had the Mongolian beef, fried rice and egg roll. Egg roll was especially strange (in a good way!), I think there was cinnamon in it? Definitely get take-out, eating in the gas station kinda a weird vibe. But totally worth it. Food was molten hot ✌️

My husband and I have been coming here for the Mofongo for a while! It is so delicious, it never disappoints. We have tried other plates as well and everything has been amazing. Don’t be deceived by the gas station! The food is so worth it! They’re also very welcoming and have great prices. Lots of options for everyone 😍🤩
The food was delicious. We came to have some BorinChino food. You have to come out. We had the Orange Chicken, Costillas Deshuesadas, Seasame wings, Latin Wontons and the dragon egg rolls. The food was amazing.I highly recommend it. Don't sleep on the fact that it's in a gas station fool you. The service was phenomenal. Food was delicious 😋 The drive was worth every morsel. Mil gracias por la comida rica! Definitivamente voy a regresar.
Where Gas Station Gourmet Takes the Stage! If you're like me and consider your taste buds adrenaline junkies, welcome to the gastronomic rollercoaster that is Dragon Bowl. I think it's it Puerto Rican/Asian Fusion? Well, it's like a culinary party where plantains, egg rolls, and wontons mingle, and they all RSVP "delicious." The main entrees? Chicken, steak, pork – it's a protein fiesta with a side of tough decisions. And don't even get me started on the white rice, fried rice, or low mein showdown – it's the carb Olympics of your dreams. Now, I get it – it's in a gas station. Skepticism might tap you on the shoulder, but trust me, Dragon Bowl is the gourmet oasis you didn't know your gas station pit stop needed. It's like finding a foodie treasure amidst fuel pumps. So, buckle up, roll down your window, and let Dragon Bowl take your taste buds on a wild, unexpected ride. Worth it? Absolutely. Try it at least once – your palate will thank you for the adventure! My favorite so far is the pepper steak and white rice.

Update: Wanted to give Dragon Bowl a second chance after having visited over half a year ago as posted below. Party of two. From time order to food ready was less than 10 minutes. Food portions were large enough for two meals and the price continues to be reasonable. This time we decided to add the Crab Rangoon (it is still listed as 'crab meat' even though it is imitation...this needs to be fixed on the menu). All three menu items ordered had more flavor than before, so our experience showed improvement. Kudos to the owener/staff. Showed up as the only customers at counter. Staff was friendly and helpful. From time of order to food ready was 18 minutes. Beverages not available (not even cup of water) since this is inside a gas station. If you want drinks, you'll have to buy from the station or go home and get your own. Large portions of rice, but nothing extraordinary about the food itself. Chicarron de Pollo had almost no flavor of the advertised garlic and lime. Eggroll was large, but average tasting at best. Dragon tacos were rated as good. Crab Rangoon advertised as crab meat, but it is not real crab, it is imitation...they need to say this on the menu. Nice idea for a place to eat and we will probably try them one more time and I wish them well, but there are much better Asian places in the area.
This may be San Antonio Puerto Rican food but it's definitely NOT Puerto Rico-Puerto Rican or Nuyorican Chinese food in the least. The service, when we walked up was not as friendly as others have experienced. The glass in front of the warming table was dirty and the chicharrones under the heat lamp looked dry. Fried rice and lo mein are $1.25 extra. At a Chinese takeout. It was insane to pay more for mediocre, HARD fried rice that was absolutely not Puerto Rican-style fried rice. It tasted like it was a day old, it was so hard. If you're selling yourself as Boricua Chinese food then give us the ham, ribs, onion, and lettuce like it should be. That or serve stir-fried rice that's fresh and not old. We ordered the two meat plate; one with pepper steak and ribs, the other with Mongolian beef and chicharron de pollo and the birria eggrolls. The ribs shouldn't be sold. The breading is gummy, not crispy, the meat was dry, and the sauce is over-seasoned with Chinese five spice or some other ungodly spice that overwhelmed the palate. Whatever that anise-five spice situation is needs to be scaled back or eliminated. The amount of spice on the ribs is the complete opposite of PR or NY costillas, spicy instead of sweet and sour. The pepper steak was okay, but you can tell it never touched a wok. The meat lacked that caramelization. I think they should start truly stir frying their meats. The chicharron de pollo was the only menu item that tasted like it was "Puerto Rican," it was well seasoned and the chicken was decent, a little on the dry side. The Mongolian beef was beef with broccoli so that was a wash. They need to ensure they're serving the customers what they ordered or prepare the food the traditional way so there are no surprises. The birria egg rolls were rolled too small, which means the inside of the egg roll was gummy. If they rolled them a little bigger there wouldn't be excess wrapper inside. The consommé it came with has globs of fat floating in it but was decent. I'm bummed because we went hoping to have a new place that would bring a taste of home. Unfortunately, I can't bring myself to go back because it just wasn't worth the money.

Called before going because it wasn’t clear if they had indoor seating or not. There are 2 tables in the middle of the gas station. The tables were both dirty. The mofongo had good flavor. I asked if the seafood mofongo came with salsa criolla, was told yes. It was salsa al ajillo, not criolla. The food was served in to go containers. Eating mofongo out of a to go container was not ideal and made the experience a little frustrating. The crab rangoons seemed to be fried in old oil, we didn’t really eat them. Drinks have to be purchased at the gas station, was not told and found out after asking. Moderately disappointed. PR chinese rice does not have peas. All to say, the mofongo had good flavor, but the overall experience was underwhelming, especially for the price. Sadly a no on returning.
Service was great. Staff was friendly and brought order out to me once it was ready. Food could have been good, but the Carne Freitas were soggy, chewy, and not good tasting, The orange chicken had great flavor, but chicken was overcooked along with the Pollo Fritas. Rice and lo mein noodles were too greasy. Vegetables is lo mein were fresh and good but over powered by the grease. The Latin won tons were pretty good. I'd give it a try again, but my wife said no.

Horrible experience and a WASTE of my money. There was a black strand of hair in my fried rice! So disgusting. What makes matters worse is I could not communicate this with the lady who answered the phone because she did not understand ONE word of English nor did she speak English. Completely unacceptable. I want a refund but can’t even request it and I for sure will never return.

Great service but the food isn’t authentic and the Mofongo was very very dry , the noodles were very bland and their fried rice
AWFUL!! Do not eat there! I had orange chicken and it must have been sitting in warmer ALL day, low mein NO flavor just boiled noodle’s and a few vegetables , egg roll not a good flavor. I threw all of it away thinking I would get sick!!
