Had great service from the young man and young lady that were working. Very attentive, coffee cup never went empty! I think I'm in love with their tortillas. O really. As you can tell by the pictures they are homemade. I was in the mood for barbacoa, little bit of fat but otherwise very good. Pork chop was delicious. A lot of times when you get the pork chop cut up like this they don't give you a lot, this is not the case packed with pork chop toasted beautifully. And then of course I always have to try a bean and cheese and that was also a major score. Very good. And this friend loves corn tortillas and they said this was one of the best corn tortillas they've had in a while, again check out the picture, and you can tell its homemade. Just a bean and cheese taco but my friend said that corn tortilla was everything. And I'm not a coffee connoisseur but I like a good cup. This was a good cup, or four LOL. My friend suggested this place and I was kind of hesitant. I went probably 10 years ago and was not a fan at all. I'm glad my friend talked me into it and after talking to our server he said the new owners took over a while back and I said "you could tell". This place is on my taco map for sure!
The food, service and atmosphere are 2nd to none , no pictures of my food as they are always an afterthought 😅! Café de oya is amazing 🤩 our family that comes into town always requests this restaurant!
The food, service and ambience are excellent! This was my first time coming here even though I was raised in San Antonio & love Tex-Mex food. I ordered the enchiladas with a crispy taco plate but asked them to change it out for a Puffy Taco which they gladly accommodated. We also ordered the carne asada which was great. They served chips and salsa, of course. The chips are a little thicker than I'm used to but their excellent salsa was amazing. Flour tortillas were great as well. We took our daughter here on the way to the airport so she could have a Tex-Mex fix before heading back to DC and this place was convenient to the airport. So it's a great place to take out of town guests. Highly recommend!
Food is good. Service is good. A bit pricey. Lots of seating. Outside patio. Clean. I’d go back. Parking is shared with other businesses. Music is a little loud. Food comes out hot and fresh. Breakfast tacos specials. 5 people $43.00.
Great place for breakfast. Edited 5/15/25 2nd visit here food was great again. Coffee Creamer they have is off the charts fantastic. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Really good breakfast. The only place to get something better MIGHT be if you cooked it. Edgar is great, very friendly and quick with his service. The corn tortillas are home made and hot. I sent my spouse this same image and she decided to order breakfast as well.
Omg. This place is a hidden gem. The food is AMAZING! Honestly, the best enchiladas around.
Hands down the BEST Mexican food in San Antonio! Every dish tastes like it came straight from a home kitchen in Mexico—authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. You can feel the love in every bite. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel like part of the family. Twisted Tattoo loves this place—we’re regulars for a reason! If you’re looking for true Mexican home cooking, this is the spot. Highly recommend
What a GREAT Mexican restaurant on this side of town. Service was awesome, our server Edgar was so kind and made sure to refill drinks as needed. The food was FANTASTIC! FLAVOR was there as well as fresh. My wife ordered chicken chalupas that were perfect according to her. My food was light, far from the heaviness you normally feel from typical Mexican foods. Overall this place was a gem to be found on this side of town. Great job owners.
Fantastic local place! Was recommended by a friend. We were there dine in a few weeks ago. The atmosphere, the service and the food were all fantastic. We tried tacos take out this morning. Also amazing. It’s a great place in a quiet shopping center off of San Pedro. Couldn’t recommend it more highly. All your favorites are here and done well but the roasted salsa is to die for.
I had an appointment at the Subaru service center next door. I happened to see this location on the drive in and decided to walk to it while I waited for my vehicle. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and made sure to check in on me. I ordered a half sweet half unsweetened tea, they served it in a cute pitcher! I kept my order simple with a bacon and egg as well as a bean and cheese taco. The beans were delicious and the tortillas were extremely good! I’m glad I stopped in!

Food was so good I had to write a review, ordered a parrillada , I normally eat half and take half home in Mexican restaurant but this was so good I finished it’s all ! The place is very clean & well decorated . Food is fresh . Lots of space for big groups .
Tuesday 9/16/25 ordered the Chili Reyano lunch special with beef. It was best Mexican food take I have ever had. Food was so full of flavor it was as if my grandma made it! I totally recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Mexican food!
We were in SA for the weekend and were looking on Google maps for a Mexican restaurant for breakfast near our hotel. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman. 👍🏻 they offered us something to drink and the café de olla was delicious. They were very attentive and the food was good. Large portions of food and the flour tortillas were homemade. We'll be back on our next trip in to the area.
Excellent service. Very friendly and the food is great

Gold mine, as in, the gold is mine because I found this hidden gem on wicked Pedro street. I mean, the food here is so home cooked, with love. Everything is so good and high quality, from the salsa all the way to the main entre. Such a cozy atmosphere with beautiful not stuck up waitresses, unlike their neighbor down the road or so…. Don’t even let me get started. Go here!
We got breakfast tacos, and they were so good. The pancakes were hard and dry, so next time we will stick with tacos. the service was alright, we never got refills and our waiter only came to the table 1 time when i called her about the cheese. One of my tacos didn't have the cheese i asked for. other than that the food was good. The barbacoa was so so delicious I would recommend!

It's a small restaurant, not what I expected but good. The tea is in a small pitcher which is so cute but my husband and I didn't like the taste of it. I ended up getting his water and he just drank the tea. A lady noticed water was overflowing and by the time we were done with our meal, there was water under our table. She did tell the waitress and all she did was put a wet floor sign. I told my husband to be careful when we were leaving. He doesn't have the greatest balance and a wet floor doesn't help. The food was good but too pricey for my taste. I got the Cameron de la plancha and it came with rice salad and fries. They did add the shrimp plates but no prices so I was shocked when we paid. Which they had put the prices on the TV or board they displayed their new items.

first time here. Real elegant and Clean Mexican restaurant. Just moved to this neighborhood and google found this Restaurant. The Caldo I ordered was just There👎The Soup taste was really good but the Meat was real rubbery tuff, it was not soft at all! The vegetables were nowhere to be found? Portions of Vegetables were very few👎I’ll give this Restaurant one more chance some other time just because I Loved, how this Restaurant looked.
I finally started eating here again trying to support the local businesses in my neighborhood. I've always felt that for the money this place usually disappoints. But I tried to look past that and consider the time that it saves me from driving to another place they probably have similar food that might be just a little better. First of all I'd like to start off on a positive note, I do enjoy the large size mason jars that are used for the ice tea and other beverages that are so dear by the glass. The water and tea come with free refills. And now most soft drinks are sold by the can. When you drink order arrives, it usually comes with a complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are crispy, a bit dense, and a little on the more golden side. Although the salsa is a bit watery, it is somewhat tasty. Now there may be two or more reasons why you might come here but the primary ones will be either for breakfast tacos on the go or perhaps a sit down lunch meal. Like most of the other Mexican restaurants around town, they do have a three taco special in the morning although this place only has a very limited selection including bean and egg, ham and egg, and potato and egg. 3x$3.75 or $4. I've gotten the ham and egg before and find them a bit juicy as the ham is the typical luncheon meat cooked ham you find mostly all around town. The bean and egg are not cooked together rather added along side which I dislike and the others are fine. Most of the other tacos run from $1.50-$1.99 and the breakfast plates start off at $5.50. I find the egg and chicharrón plate to be the best value and the barbacoa taco at $2.50 to be a winner. The menudo is fair. The caldo de res was a disappointment when I got it. I thought that for sure, since it was the weekend, that a fresh batch would be available. Although I come to find out that I was giving what tasted like an old slightly fermented/sour broth with recently boiled potatoes added to it that totally lacked any kind of flavor from the meat or the broth. The meat was also a decent cut of shank, although the texture felt like it was also cooked separately due to the lack of tenderness. The lunch plates start off around $6.99 and are identical to what you would find all around town. I'm convinced that they all get the same ingredients from Sysco or something. Probably the biggest complaint that I have about this place and I forgot to mention it about the breakfast tacos is that they seem to use the typical flour tortillas used in the main stream places rather than the more authentic texture ones used at most places in town. This was very surprising. They do have a lunch special that ranges from $7.50 to $8.50. M-F. The lunch is no frills or thrills. Other than convenience, there is nothing that would make me come back to this place to eat. Ambiance 3/5 Food 2/5 Price 2/5 Service 2/5

I am disappointed by Hacienda Patron Taqueria Y Restaurant at 459 McCarty Rd for placing flyers under the windshield wipers of vehicles in nearby apartment complexes and neighborhoods where they do not have permission. When I called to request that they stop, I was told the manager was unavailable and the call was ended without resolution. I tried calling several times on different days. This practice constitutes civil trespass under Texas law, which prohibits entering private property without consent, and could also create a safety issue under Texas Transportation Code Section 547.613, which makes it a misdemeanor to operate a vehicle with objects attached to the windshield that obstruct the driver’s view. Even if no one is cited, this unwanted advertising is disrespectful to residents and risks being considered littering or a public nuisance.

Worst tacos I’ve ever ate in my life. 3 tacos were almost 16 dollars with a drink. Very disappointing when having to spit out every bite I took
