Cozy atmosphere, kind of like a cabin vibe. You had to order and pay up first before they seat you which is not bad - you do self serve for drinks and utensils. They have good selection for brunch in my opinion. Bakery was delicious too. Service was great, we had a server who was a senior and he was always smiling and cheery, which was nice. He was very quick on his toes despite his age. I applaud him. Respect on that. Will definitely come and eat again.

We were immediately greeted by someone I can only assume is the new manager. He is very friendly and verbose. I've always liked eating at La Madeleine, but I typically would avoid this location because I hate feeling like I'm in a cafeteria line. Although it's still set up that way, it helped to have better service than previously. The food was delicious as usual.

SUCH a cute place! The strawberry Nutella crepes were phenomenal and the product variety was so cool to see! Very nice and educational atmosphere. The French onion soup could’ve been served hotter but it was yummy anyways, and the coffee was delicious.

The French Dip is always good. Au jus soften up the bread very nicely. The bread itself, is soft enough. The au jus does add a little more flavor to the sandwich. The Turkey Bistro is also good. I did not k ow that they serve breakfast all day. The service was good.

Nice place to relax and enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. They have a nice selection of pastries, desserts, and snacks. I went for breakfast and ordered a Quiche Florentine and an orange juice. Food was good and service was also good. I was comfortable while dining here and enjoyed my meal.

Food was delicious! We were the only ones here but it was amazing, fire place awesome touch! Went back again a year later :/ food was okay…. Maybe ordered the wrong meals for us, atmosphere was still on point. Staff great 👍

I was greeted as soon as I came into the cafe. The associate taking my order, Angie, was very friendly and helpful. She and Lizzy expressed deep regret that the French toast was no longer offered when I showed them the picture from Google reviewers. As for my food, it was good. I can't say it was great, sadly. I was missing my bacon when the plate was brought to my table, but I let Angie know, and she had some out to me right away. The eggs remind me of Army dfac eggs, sadly powdered and watery. Some salt and pepper made the eggs edible. I got the strawberry and Nutella crepe, in place of the French toast. That was pretty good. Definitely would go well with some coffee. The ambiance is pretty nice, has a sort of European feel to it. I've been to France, so it was pretty refreshing. There were a bit too many gnats/flies around, but understandable. Thank you for my first experience at La Madeline

This was my fist time eating here. In town visiting friends. The food and atmosphere is amazing here. The customer service was great. They have a great variety of food and desserts. If you want a quick lesson in French pop in the bathroom for a quick treat. Lots of fun. I would definitely visit again or if you are in the San Antonio area pop in for a while! Be sure and try the bread and jam..who else had a Sound of Music moment??!!?? 😆

Nice place. I went there for brunch and had the french dip. It was pretty good, but could've been better. I may be biased because I had just had an amazing french dip the previous week at a different restaurant, but it was still better than average. The server was super friendly and the general atmosphere is of a quaint little french eatery. I might update once I try some more of the food but right now I'd say four stars. I am eager to try their baked goods as they look amazing.

No wonder La Madeleine is going under - my closest location has already closed and this one might as well be next. - Why are servers not taught “Customer Service” any more? - And the words “I am so sorry” when something goes wrong seems to not even be in young people’s vocabulary any more -at least not here! Had ordered meals online - was trying to pickup via their “take out parking spots” - FIRST problem, their phone system instructions didn’t work, however way I dialed in I got into their answering system loop -> so in I have to go (not too much of a deal, I’m elderly but still mobile). - Looking through my order bag, SECONDLY I notice utensils when I clearly stated “no utensils” (not a big deal again - but just “no attention to details”) so off I go. - THIRD: Headed out and started driving in heavy traffic, we noticed items missing from the order, completely: a salad, a soup! -> Now it’s becoming a big deal; I drive back, walk in, talk to same front person, tell them I’m missing items - and what do I get: “oh, what do you need? - what did you order?” - I point to the order strip, show salad, soup - and get “ok”. - And off they go grabbing the stuff! - Coming back, I get “here you go” - THATS IT. Really ??? - So I give them one more chance and state calmly “needless to say, I am not happy having to come back” - and lo-and-behold I get another stare, and a “really”. …. At that point I am becoming speechless myself - and do walk out. Some battles cannot be won; but I *will NOT be back*. - Their food is not what it’s been, and I don’t need to be treated as a nothing! - Now, this all could have been avoided with ONE SIMPLE “I am so sorry we missed that”! (a small extra cookie would have been an extra [Christmas] bonus, but was not expected).

The staff are very nice! Above and beyond but the food is severely lacking. My spread of avocado was nearly transparent 😔 The baked good are stellar tho Ordered breakfast nouveau and oatmeal raisin cookie

We ordered our meal to Dine In and we were the only people in the restaurant. 20 minutes later we discovered our meal was waiting on the counter as a To Go meal. We told them the order was a Dine In and showed them the receipt. The waitress brings our food cold because they took it out of the To Go container and put it on a plate. We sent it back to be heated and then another lady brings our food all dried up because they microwaved it too long. With the issues restaurants are having with shortages of staffing and higher food prices, you would think that the staff that they do have could at least Read the ticket and provide good service and a hot meal. I would not recommend this location because the staff didn’t seem to care and the manager did not offer an apology. Don’t expect good service at this location and don’t expect them to understand the difference between Dining In or To Go. The staff is working unsupervised here so good luck getting your food correctly.
