I just finished eating here and let me tell YOU this place is amazing. I got beef fajita tacos and my dad got bacon/egg and chorizo/egg tacos. My dad loved the bacon and egg taco because this has been one of the first places that cooked the bacon with the eggs. Everything else on the menu seemed delicious and I can't wait to come back. The restaurant itself feels cozy and welcoming, getting a view of the kitchen is lovely as well everything else was a cherry on top. Thank you Ricky for your lovely service and thank you to the cook(who is also the owner! Freaking love this place) who wanted to make sure our food was to our liking! I can't get enough of this place and can't wait until I come back with friends (:

Not your instagram picture worthy type of place but if you want great food at a reasonable price and amazing service definitely try this spot!!!! On a random pop in we tried the beef fajita tacos and you NEED to come get you one!!! Almost forgot the hot green salsa is a must. I will for sure be back to support this small business.

My husband and I had the bacon and egg and chorizo with potatoes. It was very delicious. The owner and Veronica the waitress where both very nice and made sure we had a great experience. Everything was very clean and tidy.

I ordered the enchilada plate with chicken and green salsa and they were the best enchiladas I have had at a restaurant. I usually don't like ordering enchiladas at a restaurant because they are usually always bland in flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was grilled and not boiled or roasted, so it was really juicy and not dry. The salsa had so much flavor. Also the additional salsas you get with your meal were all so good. I loved them all. The refried beans with the queso fresco were also very well done. The chef and our waitress were both very attentive and very sweet. I also loved the playlist they have playing while you dine. It is completely different from most of the restaurants I have been to here in SA, ,but it is definitely a good kind of different. I will highly recommend to anyone wanting to have something different and more authentic to come try Sonterrey. Please come and support this small business.

Very good breakfast tacos! The chorizo and egg was delicious and the bacon and egg was mixed in perfectly! Good food, good prices, the chef came out to thank me for my order and he was very personable and friendly! I'm a Las Palapas girl and they gave them a run for their money!

My wife and I decided to give this new place a try! When we went, the owner seated us and was cooking, said they'd only been open a week or so. We got the fajitas for two, and they were delicious! I only wish I had thought to take a pic first. Nice little local spot that we'll definitely be visiting again!

Rarely do I get excited over mexican food in San Antonio, we have 1 or 2 at everyone corner, and I love them all. But today at ‘Sonterrey’ it was just different enough to get me excited about coming back to try EVERYTHING else. The owner hails from Morelos and brought the best of it with him

We were grateful for his excellent customer service and friendliness. We will definitely come back to try the baked potatoes that he recommended and probably some wings.

First time here and last. I was swayed by the reviews, which had 4.8 stars and were actually nothing like that. A scam. I brought some Pastors that came from Puerto Rico and I was terribly embarrassed. To start, I ordered lemonade and it tasted horrible; for my second appetizer, some loaded fries and the cheese tasted rotten; the quesadillas, what could Pastors have? They came out burnt; I ordered a side order of beef enchiladas and the meat was dry, and pico de gallo along with the beans looked like soup, horrible. The waiter's service was good, but the food was nothing like that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
