Had an great time at Pegasus in San Antonio! The vibe was upbeat, the crowd super friendly, and the music was great. There are few different rooms, fun drag shows, karaoke, bar and dance floor. Awesome energy and strong, cheap drinks!!! Definitely a must-visit spot for a fun night out! 🌈✨

I hadn't been here in a hot minute!!!! It was so great to reconnect with people that I had not seen in a while. And it was refreshing to make some new friends. All of the staff are so friendly and have great hearts!! I was having such a great time that I left my card holder at the register. The bartender was like, I'm so glad I found you and gave me my cardholder back that I never realized was missing 😂 Great place, safe space!!! 😘

First timer.. loved it. The atmosphere was nice, the people were cool, the music was decent. The shows were amazing! Our bartender Elijah was top tier. The only downfall is the restroom, only one restroom inside for women and then porta potties outside😅

Halloween 2016 was my first time here. I'd heard good things about this place so I decided to come and see. Drinks were very well priced, and the bartender in the country area was very kind and patient despite the deluge of drink orders he was firing out at impressive speed. The place itself is not bad at all, though I feel the restroom is the smallest I've ever seen, which is something of a funny sight. Overall I had a great time here.

...this place used to be a great place to be in 90s and early 2000s. Not really much to write home about today. I really miss how it was at one time. The music selection needs an over haul. However if you just want to go to a local small gay video bar have a drink. Than maybe it's for you. No cover charge and they do have drag shows. CD and transgender friendly. It's a cruise bar in and out...peace.

Fun ambiance but horrible bathrooms. The drinks are inexpensive and strong! Your basic Gay meat market. The back patio is fun with Karaoke and front with fun drag queen performances. Can get very crowded and if you are not one to be around many peoplr this is not the place to be. For the most part people are courteous and Staff is semi-friendly. The smell this place has is not so good because they still have carpet.

They really need to try harder in changing the main bar’s music; it’s the same playlist every weekend like bruh really? People can tell. It gets annoying to listen to the same crap. Bartenders are ok, however, some of them can be rude. I wouldn’t stay here all night, go bar hopping the strip.

Have been going there for years. Horrible experience tonight. Always men using the ladies bathroom, ok no problem, gay bar! So tonight there is a huge line at the women's room, men using it as well. Myself, my girl and her friend go to the men's room. Some guy complains, we get kicked out. Why? Discriminating against straight people or females in the men's room. So discussed by this behavior! Always go there for no judgment..... Do the owners have anything to say for this?

I was there yesterday, I was roofied by one of the bartenders. I will not be going back, I could have killed someone, I was allowed to leave absolutely blacked out. I had 1 shot here, next thing I know I’m waking up at 6am.. this is ridiculous. I will never ever come back. I hope y’all get caught doing this to people and get what y’all deserve.

The front bartender is absolutely toxic. Won't serve to women unless ur willing to tip $4 each transaction. During last call he refused to let me purchase a drink because he said "I don't work for free sweetie" even though I've already tipped him $8 from previous purchases. Absolutely ridiculous, expect to pay twice what ur drink is worth if u buy from the front bartender unless ur a guy. He literally hates women.

My boyfriend is visiting from out of state Colorado, and we are celebrating our one year anniversary. As we arrived last night, we got our IDs checked out. The older gentleman up front , couldn’t verify my Texas ID. So he handed it off to a female Caucasian security guard , whom I did not get the name or badge number from. She glances at the ID, didn’t even ask to look under my mask, decided that it’s a fake (which it’s not) and then confiscates it. We stated nicely saying that it’s real, and I said to please bring an electronic device to verify it. And with a sarcastic remark she said “no, goodnight” into which my partner replied “how can we get it back” and she said “call the police”. So while I was waiting outside the bar , while my boyfriend made the call with the police and two patrol cars showed up. They scanned it, passed , and returned it to me. To top off the night, the officers told us we weren’t allowed at the bar, we would be charged with trespassing ?? Just because we were outside the gate / property for the same ID that was taken from us for an avoidable situation. The guard did not apologize. She embarrassed herself and has represented Pegasus in an awful way. Please go to sparkys next door, we celebrated the rest of the night w/ our friends and couldn’t believe what had just happened. Personally, I’m now nearing 30, but this wasn’t something I wanted to show my boyfriend, especially our visit to SA. Won’t be coming back to a disorganized , uneducated establishment that doesn’t know how to check ID’s , fake or not, get a machine/device. I’ve taken the liberty to share one I found on Amazon. Can’t afford it ? Please just shut down and don’t waste people’s time with disrespect for the very same clients who try to give this bar another chance. Over and over again.

The place is very unsanitary. The smell isnt pleasant. Very outdated building( have no idea how it passes inspection.) restrooms never clean. The shows are done outside. Not much of a stage. The drag queens are not people persons, they never say hi out on the floor. They just want your money when they perform. Totally needs a remodel. BUT IT IS THE FREAKIN BEST PLACE TO HANG OUT! The music is awesome. The crowd makes it a great place. The bartenders are sexy. The environment is perfect to just let go and be YOU. You gotta go check it out.

I used to live here 10 years ago and i loved coming here for karaoke. I have visited multiple times since i left with my friends. I had a great time, but then recently before today's visit I heard of really sad things of how things have gone downhill and i try not to let that deter me. I went with my boyfriend tonight and we were having a great time, the first bartender on the patio really earned that 30% tip since he gave us really strong drinks and poured heavy on the shots. We both sang a song since they do karaoke which we love. A girl comes up asking if the seat next to us was taken and we said no. Her friend had hurt her foot and just needed to sit and then we were having a wonderful conversation with her. Next thing the security guard came up and i thought he asked me if that girl was with us and i said no and then i thought about it again and asked what he said. He said are you with that guy, my boyfriend, i said yes. He then goes that he needs to go as he had too much to drink and I'm like, excuse me? We both had the exact same amount you drink and were trying to figure out why. The guard refused to elaborate and said he needed to leave. I have never experienced such a poor experience here. I will NEVER recommend this bar ever again to ANYONE. If they want to be this way towards folk, then so be it.

This has been a staple and safe space for San Antonio for many years. I feel that the owner puts 0 effort into maintenance, which shows little regard to the community he serves. The lack of effort shows by the Big Lots outdoor furniture used inside in the back room. While getting dropped on by the worlds smallest ac unit that was dripping on all of the exposed wiring. It’s sad and knowing the owner had money to pump back into the establishment is even more disheartening. We deserve better !!!!!

I was having a grand old time on New years Eve but apparently after 1:00 a.m. Non-binary people aren't allowed to talk to straight girls or else we get kicked out for being drunk. I mean it couldn't be because I only had three drinks and was with a gay guy, so it had to be because I was talking with a straight girl. don't pay coy with me, don't tell me it was for my own good. had three drinks with my boyfriend, & compared to Chicago, I get kicked out because one bartender thought I wasn't hot enough. whereas the other bartender gave me double drinks. so don't give me that BS that it was for my own good. I've had way too many bars under serve me and kick me out "for my own good" before because I became an extrovert. Then you decided you didn't want more than $80 worth of my money, I'm sorry I didn't give you $400 that I usually give most establishments on a normal night. next time I'll just avoid you. For anyone looking for a good time that lasts longer than four drinks look elsewhere.

Stage performance was impressive but can’t give venue more than 1 star. If you see this and have a bad experience at this bar please leave a 1 star review. It’s ridiculous such a bar has so high a rating. I would also suggest drinking next door and only ordering water here, tipping the bartenders. This establishment doesn’t deserve your money but a bartender shouldn’t have to suffer alongside.

In all honesty, it’s a fairly nasty and run down dive that most would happily be willing to tolerate for an exceptionally fun social experience, but it’s not. It feels ugly and hate seeps through the pores of this place. The other reviews are very true when they claim there are no restrooms for women; there are two unisex single-closet restrooms (they seemed to be locked with no one in them) and all the other multi-stall restrooms are men only. I suppose they could claim that is because almost all who hang there are men. This might be true, but it’s not because women don’t try to go (read the other disappointed reviews); they do and are subtlety turned away via the lack of essential facilities they are allowed to use.

Pegasus used to be a safe place to go, now they have no issue violating ADA law and civil rights. Denying access to someone who has repeatedly been there because they decided they didn’t want to ‘deal with’ service dogs. I will miss supporting the community and the amazing drag performers more frequently but not at a place that doesn’t care for community in any sense of the word.

If I could give negative STARS, I would. My son attended this club/bar and was allowed to leave heavily intoxicated and incoherent. This bar was negligent by allowing a customer to leave the premises incoherently, with no help whatsoever. Either my son was drugged at this club or he continued to be served alcohol over the limit. This is illegal and instead of taking the proper strategies to deal with a patron (my son), was allowed to walk out without any concerns for their customer's safety. This incident lead my son to be found blocks away at a club unable to speak, balance himself, and showing signs of heavy intoxication. He received no help and was taken advantage of his situation and robbed and left in the street. So for anyone visiting San Antonio and attending this club establishment or any in the area, PLEASE be extremely careful because they failed to take responsibility for his well-being (no care at all). Yet, they sure were accepting of his alcohol purchases and taking his money!!! This club establishment should and will be held accountable for the negligence and all parties involved in not taking the proper steps for his safety!

Recently went out 08/14 Monday evening and was possibly drugged or was slipped some kind of stimulant that made me black out. I ordered two drinks and went to sparky's after where I ordered a diet coke (no alcohol) and that is the last thing I remember. Please be careful if you're going out make sure you have friends with you and a safe ride. I was incoherent and somehow made it home in tact but I am still shaken by the experience. Just be safe. It could have been passed to me at Pegasus and didn't hit until I got to Sparky's so I'm just letting people know to be safe. Never imagined this would happen to me.

So be prepared to spend alot of money on the Karaoke dj Toby. The only way to be able to not be skipped or ignored is to pay. Don't tip him in his jar that doesn't matter he will skip you anyways. Been going a long time for karaoke won't sing with him again. Make sure Aubry is there. She is 100% better. He is trash. You know who I am Toby, it's Josh.

Ordering a club soda and tequila is a lower price than ordering a Ranch Water. He said it's all in the name of the drink you ask for. This after he charged $26 for two $4 well drinks. His lie was verified by other bartenders and patrons. Another bartender actually said that pricing is up to the individual bartenders and they can charge as they like. However, he did say that $26 for two well drinks was shocking because the highest price was usually $8. There was no supervisor on duty; no manager or owner on the premises. Now, don't expect anything to become of this and certainly don't expect anything to change. It's the nature of this business and has been for decades. The bartender has been working the same bar for years. He's a fixture on the back patio with a condescending smirk. His tenure should certainly prove him seasoned enough to overlook a patron's misinterpreted humor. Unfortunately, his vindictive behavior runs unchecked. Let me say that it's rather common now to spend $26 elsewhere for two 'good' cocktails in a 'nice' establishment. However, these drinks were extremely weak with no effect of liquor and the establishment suffers severely of neglect.

The floor is submerged under a filthy half-inch of stagnant water. The bathroom itself is a disaster zone: the sink is clogged, and the stench is unbearable. The line for this lone, pathetic excuse for a restroom snakes through the bar, adding to the chaos. This bar exudes an unwelcoming aura, especially towards women and those who identify as female. The lack of basic amenities and cleanliness seems almost deliberate, as if to discourage female patrons entirely. The single, decrepit toilet and the filthy conditions make it clear that the establishment has no regard for the comfort or safety of women. It's blatantly obvious that this place is not designed with female guests in mind, further emphasizing the hostile and uninviting atmosphere. The entire venue is dilapidated and repulsive. The crowd consists mainly of older, rough-looking men, making the atmosphere feel hostile and unsafe. It's certainly not a place where anyone would feel comfortable or welcome. If you're seeking a pleasant, inviting spot to dance, steer clear—there are far better options nearby.

He skipped over my song, rushed through my friends song and felt like he turned down the music while she was up there to embarrass her. He was a very negative person, we went up there to ask where we were on the list and he was very dismissive and pulled up the wrong sheet(because you have to sign up on a sheet) and it was a very negative experience. The karaoke instrumental was bad, but the music in the interim sounded fine. We’ll never do karaoke here again. And if he didn’t have my song he didn’t say anything about it. Terrible experience.
