Excellent sushi, no doubt. I got the Godzilla roll and it had just the right amount of heat. Also, they have this house soy sauce that is pretty good to dip your sushi into. My biggest surprise is how big the menu is. There are dozens and dozens of different rolls to choose from. I will certainly eat here again the next time I visit San Antonio.
Absolutely love the food and the service. Cosimo Roll is a lock every single time. The Jalapeño Tuna Tempura Poppers are also a must
I am a sushi lover, and I have been coming to Sushi Zushi on I10 and the one at Stone Oak for years now. I have my very favorite rolls here, Cosimo, Toreado with scallops, Bull and some other. The appetizers I like are the spicy edamame ( has to be spicy!) , the salmon razor, and their miso soup. Do not forget to order your chiles toreados if you want that extra kick in your rolls! I like to come to this location while I am at work, it’s very well located and my favorite server is here, her name is Erika and she is the best! She always has the best recommendations when I can’t make up my mind. Sushi lovers, do not miss this delicious sushi!
Wow amazing food. This is now my go to for sushi. I ordered the dragon roll it is the best I've had so far
Came to Sushi Zushi Collonade today for lunch.. My waiter Jeff was quick to greet me and get my drinks to the table (the thirst was real) so this was very important. Jeff answered all my questions about the menu and made sure my food came out exactly as ordered. Great experience, thank you Jeff! My food was just as amazing as the service today. I ordered a mussels dynamite for my appetizer, they came out fresh and hot. Super delicious. My main course was a sushi sampler, and it was plated beautifully and my razor style hamachi nigiris were delicious.
My place to relax. Wind down. Service, Sushi, bar, amazing. Mngr is a jewel. Staff are attentive, I drive 30 miles to get there à
Where to start. My waitress was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu. On point with drink refills. Now to the food. Didn't have to wait long for the food and EVERYTHING was simply amazing. My waitress was on point with every recommendation. I can't wait to go back again.
The sushi here is good. The place is a little small, and the air vents can use a good dusting. But for a quick sushi bite, this a good selection. We had three tools. I can’t remember their names, but one of them is the FBI. I guess I have to return to see the names and eat them.
I ordered Chirashi and Spicy Scallop roll. Both were pretty good. Scallops were fresh and tasted yummy. Along with the warm sake, I enjoyed my dinner here. 👍😋
This place was recommended by a local San Antonio native. I’m really glad we decided to come. Of sushi joints, this one would be considered higher quality. The menus had a lot to choose from. It was tough to decide because they all sounded so good. In the end, my buddy and I got 4 different rolls and some dessert. Totally worth it. Staff was nice and very informative. They were a little curious as to why I was taking pictures of the place with my phone, but overall, it was a great meal. I would recommend.
Everything I ordered was good. Great service. Sat at the bar. Surprised they had the Sapporo Black. It's like a sweet Guiness w/o the bitter. A bit pricy; but a nice casual place to eat.
We came here for Mother’s Day and we had a amazing time are waiter grace T was Great and the sweetest we been coming here for we and they never gave us a bad time
Tuna tower. Boston roll. LIR roll. And ask for creamy wasabi. You’re welcome. I’ve been coming to Sushi Zushi for over a decade and I’ve even had my birthday dinner here many times. The food is incredible and the service is great!
I've never been to Zushi sushi before, but Joseph, our bartender, made great recommendations for our drinks and food selections. The chicken Yakimeshi was delicious!!!! I definitely have to come here again! The Blackberry smash, Bees Knees, the old Fashion, Arnold Palmer...all delicious drinks. Very great location with wonderful staff. Definitely recommend. Thank you Joseph!!!! 😊
Best food EVER! The chocolate melt dessert was amazing! The sushi was also really yummy 😋. This is the place to go if you want to eat sushi or have a nice lunch/dinner. The shishito peppers was not spicy but great for people who don’t like spice! The habanero Ikura was also great! The spicy tuna reminds me of home ( ◠‿◠ ). This is the first sushi restaurant I been to that out mayo in the spicy tuna! The fried sushi was the best fried sushi I tried! (The fried sushi is the most popular/ most recommended fried sushi.) This place is really great for lunch!
Thank you to our wonderful & friendly bartender/waiter Tony Padilla for the great food and service. Call ahead and make a reservation. Food was delicious & fresh!!! And the cocktails hit the spot! Access menu through QR code.. clean and welcoming. Definitely coming back. 😎

Really good food but really expensive as well. The prices have gone up 35%. For example, the Godzilla roll used to be $13.50 and now it's $18. Is it worth it? That's for you to decide.
Late night after a long travel day. I stopped in because I liked the vibe. I didn’t know I wanted sushi but this Zushi blew my mind. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the chefs were delighted to make me dinner. The whole experience was wonderful and I appreciate the meal and kindness.
Went in for a quick bite and it was amazing! I sat at the bar and the bartender recommended the Red Moon roll - 10/10 stars! I usually keep it pretty safe so this was a bit out of my comfort zone but I loved it. I also had a classic California roll. The bartender’s service was amazing, very attentive and friendly. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in the area!

This was our first time trying this chain and we overall had a good experience. The drinks are a little overpriced, but sushi chain restaurants tend to do that. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and even gave us some ideas of things to do in that area, since we live on the far NW side. I ordered the salad but didn’t really care for it — the sushi made up for it! My husband also enjoyed his bento box. We look forward to trying other locations.
I love the food, but my take out order is always wrong. They don't confirm my order, and when they do, they don't actually check the food they only read the receipt which is pointless in ensuring what you ordered is actually in the bag. Check EVERYTHING yourself before you leave, inspect EVERYTHING, open all bags AND containers. The picture is of a sloppy roll that I was given with almost insignificant Snow Crab included. Again, the food tastes amazing though and great atmosphere for dining in! Not cheap
I like this and I’m a novice sushi eater. They had a nice variety of rolls. Now if you’re into super authentic sushi, sashimi, etc. I don’t know how valuable this review will be bc like I said I’m new to it. But for the average American who may say “I don’t like sushi” or “I’ve never had sushi” this seems like an ideal place to begin.
2023 review! We just came and had an excellent experience. They have a separate gluten free menu and our waiter checked with the chef multiple times to make sure we had a safe meal we ordered a few spicy rolls and a Philly roll but the winner was the Tropical roll!! My god it was so good! Overall a great meal and no sickness as long as you advocate for yourself they were great! My one complaint is that the restaurant smells absolutely awful like puke 🤢.
I love sushi sushi because it’s always the right choice for a quick lunch with friends. The service is always excellent and the restaurants are very clean. The food is always good if you feel like eating a good roll or either rice or noodles with protein and vegetables or not the typical salad. It’s a healthy option. If you stay for their happy hour, which I love, they have very good prices and good options. Of course, the edamame is a must always and the dynamite crawfish it’s delicious. I also love the sunamono salad, it’s a great start. The food overall it’s good, not a 5 star restaurant, but the quality and the presentation of their plates it’s very acceptable and enjoyable!! I definitely go back every time I’m craving their food 😁😉😜

Hands down, our favorite sushi is found at @sushizushi, founded in San Antonio. We used to have a few locations in DFW, but the PHE did them in. While in SA, we made a point of hitting Sushi Zushi. We inhaled our favorites, the Godzilla Roll and the Cosimo Roll. Delicious! Unfortunately, the Spider Roll was inedible. We’ve had the Spider Roll many, many times and this was not it. For one, it had none of the usual presentation and, second, the chipotle sauce was wildly over spiced. We like spicy, but this was too much, approaching “Thai hot” or “ruin your day hot.” I brought this to the attention of our waitress and the sushi chef. Neither seemed to care. Especially our waitress who was , apropos of nothing, much more concerned sharing her love of wine tastings, wine festivals and other assorted wine related activities than addressing the issue. Gotta say, very disappointed in how this visit went.
My husband and I came in at 1pm, it was moderately busy but we were seated immediately. The server came quickly with out drinks but took a very long time coming back to take our order. Our order was very simple, one roll and the lunch special. It took over 30 minutes to get our order. Then we had no silverware/chopsticks and had to wait for the server to come back so we could get some. The food was tasty but nothing super impressive. They don't do half rolls and dont have samplers for gluten free. Also no specials for gluten free either. However they do have gluten free soy sauce. I'd come back but maybe during happy hour? I'm not sure.
The restaurant had an odor. I witnessed a few people come in and immediately leave. I stayed for a to-go order but it was very pungent
I ordered takeout & the person who took my order was pleasant & the only reason I gave 3 stars. I ordered Edemane, the Summer roll & Spicy Salmon. The Edemame was in a small container & was good, but not worth $7. The Summer roll was a lot of rice & not evenly proportioned. The Spicy Salmon was also a lot of rice, whole pieces of salmon & looked like it was thrown together. My first & last visit.
Love this Sushi Zushi location. The sushi is fresh and is best when eaten in the restaurant. Recommendations include:Red Moon Roll, Diamond Roll, Brandon’s Tuna Roll, Torreado Roll with Scallops, and the Strawberry Roll for a dessert roll. The yakiudon and yakisoba are both great as well. Overall a great option for good sushi that is reasonably priced. There are kids bento boxes and kid-friendly options. The location is getting older and is dated, but for my family and I, it’s nostalgic.
Had excellent dishes. Enjoyed my afternoon date with my husband. The service was polite but delayed. The smell just wasn't warming or enjoyable. A bit sour or old sponge smell. We did try the fried tuna poppers. They were excellent. Nice contrast to the cold sushi sashimi we had. We also tried the sampler appetizer plate. A variety of fish.... very tasty. I believe a raw dish but very pleasing for me and my date.

Food was amazing, service sucked, and waiter gave me my meal as we were paying for check. We were there for over 2 hours, and he never checked to refill our waters, and seemed to avoid our table. Don’t seat what you can’t serve, I struggle to understand restaurants that crowd themselves when they are not capable of taking care of said tables.
Honestly came here for my Girlfriend, she wanted sushi and I’m allergic to fish, you should have more options for no fish. Ordered an EXPENSIVE rice only to find out it was the smallest thing on the menu. 9.50 with no shrimp and only chicken and beef and you only give me 5 little pieces of chicken along with 2 little small pieces of Beef. First and Last time eating here. Save your money go to Wasabi next door, or go to Sapporo’s. Our server was Jasmine. Rarely checked on us.

Fruit flies, dirty environment, and cold food. SEE PICS. We sat down and noticed 1-2 fruit flies. When the food came out, that number multiplied. 6 fruit flies bothered us the entire meal. It was so gross. They were all over and one loved the soy sauce bottle 🤢 it climbed on the spout of the bottle where soy sauce is dispensed. Wish I could post the Live Photo so y’all could see. Speaking of gross, the walls and booth we were in were all dirty? Things smeared on the walls. The food we ordered was fried rice & a noodle dish. Both of which were cold. We won’t be returning to Sushi Zushi at least not this location.
came in for dinner, very very overpriced in my opinion. boyfriend ordered yakimeshi rice and received a side dish caliber size bowl of rice, it had cost $9.50. server barely checked on us and the food took way too long for what we received. i’ve been a waitress before, and the service tonight was noticeably bad. if this is the standard of pricing, I don’t want to return. plenty of places will give you more rice, for even less.
Nope 🙅🏽♂️ the food was not good, I ordered the Katsu Don and it was probably the worst one I've had. It's just my opinion, I've had it in SA several times and this recipe was completely off, or the other restaurants made an error and somehow by luck they got it right? The portions of the fried rice is for a toddler, it's rice - grains are not that expensive, could of been a bit more generous with it. Recently I've been cutting back on food so it kind of worked out that it was a tiny portion. Normally I share my rice but this time I refused to share, your tiny portions brought out the selfishness in me. Not your fault, it's mine for shopping here. I don't eat sushi due to my irrational fear of consuming parasites, but it looked good. Your beer selection is great! If I know you and I recommend this place, take it as a hint that I secretly don't like you. I know - not your fault.
