Food was very good. They were busy so food was a little slow, but the waitress was great…let me know the kitchen was busy and managed expectations for plate to table. Will definitely return
Great brunch/lunch spot!! Service was amazing and food was excellent!! Barrata was recommended by our awesome server and it did not disappoint! It was a great starter! We tried the steak and eggs, eggs Benedicto and chicken parm sandwich, all delicious!!!! We will definitely be back very soon!!
Fantastic restaurant, great service, even better food. We went on a Saturday afternoon so they had appetizers, brunch, a few entrees, salads, and pizzas. We got the calamari with lemon aioli, Gorgonzola salad, baked eggs (eggs en cocotte), and the Bianca pizza with sausage. Everything came out in a timely manner and was very delicious. You can tell the front of house staff and especially the kitchen really care and it shows with the product. Will 100% be back!!
The food, the service, the ambiance: 10/10. Fiona is an absolute delight, and this place has the best vibes. What a lovely evening we had. We will absolutely be back - the calamari was the best we've ever had, and I will dream about the pizza.
We only knew that we wanted Italian food. We googled food near us and it came back with Primo's. We decided to check out this random google-inspired destination. We were not disappointed. Our server Lindsey and her trainee Zach, were fantastic. They recommended the Burnt Gold old-fashioned drink. Delicious. This was followed up by another recommendation, the fried calamari. I have eaten a lot of calamari in my life but this was top-notch. It even had a few fried sashito peppers. Yum! We shared a Gorgonzola salad and a Bianco pizza. They were both amazing. We even ordered dessert! (Which is not common) I don't remember the name, but it was a lemon meringue with raspberries and lemon curd and deliciousness. This was on top of being able to watch the kitchen delve into their work with care and precision. Even the bartender was showing off his bartender flair, showcasing his incredible technique. This is the first review that I have ever left online. It was that good! Go, try it out. You will not be disappointed! (Ask for Lindsey or Zach!)
We showed up on a whim, so glad we did. Pizza was excellent, meatballs, garlic knots and Cesar salad were all a hit. The red wine was delicious.
Highly recommend! We ended up ordering family style with our friends to try out a wide variety of the menu and were not disappointed. Arancini, Rigatoni Bolognese, Seafood Linguine, Sweet Potato Ravioli, Seared Flat Iron Steak, and Spicy Salami Pizza - all divine!
Very pleasant location for a late lunch (after normal kitchen hours). Pizza was quite good (love their crust) and enjoyed a local brew. Servers were very friendly.
Best restaurant in town if you want Italian this is the real deal! The desserts are amazing especially the dolchezza. Fresh pastas and corn fed beef
Decided to reserve a table for date night after seeing a reel on social media. Started off by trying their signature appetizer the arancini and it was delicious! Great selection of wines and cocktails. Had a bottle of the red wine from Sicily and it was very smooth. For dinner we had the roasted pork porterhouse and the margherita pizza and they were both fantastic. Trey and the rest of the staff were very hospitable and provided exceptional service. Would absolutely recommend for your next date night spot or a nice family dinner.
Saturday evening we had date night and ended up at a place called Primo's on 720 E Mistletoe. And I am so glad we did. We had Kayla as our server and she was a gem. We started with the focaccia with whipped ricotta cheese, honey drizzle, capicola, & sweety drop peppers. Delicious! Then kept it simple with a Caesar salad and it was fresh and simply great! Then my husband and I shared the Salsiccia Orecchiette with Italian sausage, broccoli rabe, tomato sauce, chili flakes, and parmesean We also got the Italiano Sausage pizza with roasted r ed peppers, red onions, mozzarella, and basil. I enjoyed a glass of Primitivo Calx. Seriously a great place to try. Food was delicious. I want to go back and try more plates!
We read reviews about this restaurant and wanted to see if what was said was true. Here I how rate restaurants is if all items score 8 or higher it is worth coming back: Friendly Staff. Isaac was 9.5 Good Mixed Drinks. 8.0 Appetizers Good. 9.0 Food above average 10+ Very good, We had to wait a little longer to get the main course but was it worth it. My wife and were impressed. Now the real test: Would You return again: Definitely Would You tell Friends and Family: Yes Would you take time out to write a Review: yes We have Family coming in town next week and we are coming back next weekend. Thanks for a wonderful evening. John and Vera P.
Our dinner at Primo‘s was superb! The arancini was the perfect start to the meal, followed by the best cheese ravioli that we have ever had. Our server, Ruben was excellent and had great knowledge of the menu. He provided wonderful recommendations for drinks to complement the meal perfectly. We will definitely be returning to Primo’s!
I’m a local in Tobin Hill but I haven’t eaten locally in awhile. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Primo’s, and will Undoubtedly return. The service was genuinely friendly and very efficient. The food was amazing! I had Chianti and a pumpkin ravioli. My wife had pappardelle. We did the calamari and burrata for appetizers. We shared a pavlova for dessert. Amazing meal, great service. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful treat! We stopped in on a bustling Sunday after church, and the friendly hostess was welcoming! We made reservation, so we were seated rather quickly. Astrid, our waitress, was knowledgeable and well versed on the day’s specials! She suggested a variety of recommendations. We tried the sweet potato ravioli, and it was magnificent with the brown butter, parmasean , and almonds/peanuts. The steak and egg entree, with two garden salads. At the time, they were out of steak. We substituted the steak for pork chop and no egg. The pork chop was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The dish came with a generous portion of crispy potatoes. The garden salads were light and refreshing with the house made vinaigrette. We couldn’t leave without dessert, so we indulged in the lemon meringue with blueberries & a lemon curd drizzle. The dessert was tart, sweet, light! I’ll be back for that for sure! Everything was delicious…great job to the chefs in the kitchen, waitress/waiters, and hostess! 👏🏾
My wife and I made a reservation at Primo’s for Valentine’s Day this year. This was our second visit, as we greatly enjoyed our initial experience and had noticed several menu items that prompted us to return. I ordered the steak and risotto, which was accompanied by a flavorful salsa verde. I requested the steak cooked medium, and it was prepared excellently—tender with a well-executed sear on the exterior. The risotto and salsa verde complemented each other beautifully, resulting in a dish that was truly exceptional. My plate was certainly clean by the end of the meal. My wife ordered the seafood linguine, which was equally impressive. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the mussels, shrimp, and calamari incorporated into the dish were outstanding in both flavor and quality. To conclude the evening, we shared the brown butter cake, which was beyond words—an exquisite ending to an already memorable dining experience.
This is now one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. I'm sad that I just now found it!! Make sure to make a reservation if you don't want outside seating. I had the Pan Chicken with orzo, spinach and olives and the chicken was so crispy, reminded me of lemon pepper chicken, but together it was absolutely phenomenal. My husband got the Seafood linguine and loved the sauce it came in. My neighbor's got the pappardelle pasta and the lemon cream sauce was super bright and perfect. Make sure you like mushrooms for this one. The pizza has a perfectly crispy crust and soft inside, you'll want to eat the whole thing. I tried the new Pear Noce drink that can be served hot or cold and it's the perfect fall drink, reminded me of a fall spiced wine but pear and refreshing. Can't wait to come back and try it hot. The butter cake was good but a little too sweet for my tastes. I will be back to try more!!
Finally made it to Primo's and we loved it! Christian was an excellent server who had great recommendations and knew the menu well! Cocktails were on point and the rigatoni bolognese and margarita pizza were delicious! Wifey was even able to order off menu because of her dietary restrictions and enjoyed her pasta as well! We will definitely be back soon!!
Celebrated a birthday witha friend here. Place qas super chill and the food was good. Price is pretty reasonable and its real food. My only negative is the parking. Its a little confusing but eventually figured it out. Park on the street just make sure is not on the any tow away section.
Cute and perfect for date night! We had our small Friendsmas gathering here as we were recommended this place and it was truly amazing ! Every dish ordered tasted incredible, and the dessert, a taste of perfection 🤌🏻 our waiter was very attentive and staff was great!
A hidden gem off the Stmarys strip, the food is excellent. Lunch time wasn't too busy, I heard it get pretty busy for dinner service, I could taste the love in every bite, had the salami Hogie, with gorgonzola salad. 16.99$. You can't go wrong with lunch special 2 topping pizza and salad of your choice, house, caesar, or gorgonzola 14.99$ Very nice ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating, The service was fast attentive and a definite 10.
My wife and I were searching for a date night eatery. We came across Primos last night while searching . So we made a reservation for today . We read so many wonderful reviews about the place so we came with high expectations. I must say we were still blown away with our entire experience. The food was incredible , and our server Lindsey was nothing less than spectacular. Her recommendations were spot on and she was just a joy to talk to . She even recommended some other local spots to hear live music and have some cocktails. Even though my wife and I are stuffed still, we are so looking forward to our next visit there .
I stumbled upon this gem on Facebook and just had to try it out! I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious - best I've had in a long while! The potatoes were a great addition, cooked to perfection. My mimosa was refreshing and went down smooth. The service was top-notch, thanks to our amazing waiter who made us feel like regulars. The best part is they offer reservations, so no waiting around for a table. Already planning my next brunch
I visited Primo’s Restaurant with my 11-year-old son, and we were both pleasantly surprised by how great everything was. The food was really good fresh, flavorful, and served just right. My son loved his meal, and that alone tells you a lot! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed family outing. It felt comfortable, friendly, and just overall enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Primo’s for anyone looking for good food and a nice vibe!
Second visit: had the buratta appetizer, Margarita Pizza and for dessert we had the brown sugar and the chocolate tart, flavors were all good. Wonderful atmosphere and great service to celebrate our anniversary. First visit: Had the ravioli pasta was to thick, but I'm a picky eater, the flavor was great. Hubs had the chicken and it also had great flavor, garlic knots were the best appetizer. Will come again.
They turned the old Nola location into a cute neighborhood pizza joint. The drinks were outstanding. Recommend the limoncello margarita 10/10. We started out with the meatball appetizer 10/10 flavor and sauce were great . The double pepperoni pizza was incredible. Def recommend that. This place has nailed the consistency of crispy crust and just enough doughy pizza ratio. The pizza isn't flavorless. The Gustoso was good as well. Just think it needs a little bit more sauce to get it back over into the pizza category. I would definitely recommend and go back. Service was excellent !
This place is so delicious! My husband tried this place out for date night and it was absolutely amazing. We ordered the calamari, which was a solid 7/10. We love super crispy calamari and this one, although good, wasn’t as crispy as we’d like. The Cesar salad is yummy, just a bit more sweeter than tangy. The cheese ravioli is THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD. I’m usually a savory meat girl, but the ravioli and asparagus with mushrooms —my gosh. I’m ordering that every time. The steak and risotto was also absolutely delicious. We tried different drinks and my favorite was the Carajillo. Order it with dessert!!! My husband is a red cab guy, and they didn’t have any, but he tried the Valpolicella wine and really liked it. We also tried the Southside SA (9/10), an espresso martini (7/10), and a cucumber martini (9/10). The carajillo was the best I’ve had in SA. 10/10 for sure. We sat at the bar and it was great. Customer service is amazing and the food is fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
This place is the real deal! We came for brunch, ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, and the Baked Eggs did not disappoint. The Baked Eggs are extremely flavorful and the focaccia bread to dip into it is chefs kiss! The only note I have on it is the sauce is so good that I wish we had another piece of focaccia bread to dip into it and finish every last bit as it’s that good. The Calamari is high quality, cut into large chunks, and has an amazing lemon aioli sauce that paired perfectly. It also included some bonus fried onions and fried shishito peppers. I’ll definitely be coming back for dinner very soon!
I have been to Primos for brunch and dinner and everything has been fantastic! The servers are all so friendly and eager to provide a great service. The place is so cozy and inviting that we ended up staying a little extra longer to indulge on desserts and coffee. The food was all amazing, pastas and pizzas are made from scratch and you can tell!Just great food and great people running it which makes the experience perfect. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants✨
I'm hyper critical when it comes to food. I expected to be let down by the new Italian place in san antonio. This couldn't have been farther from the truth. Fiona at the hostess stand was informative and cordial without being over bearing. Our waiter Alan was attentive without looming with us wanting for nothing. The scallop tagliatelle was delicious. With the size of the scallops I expected them to be frozen but they were fresh and were as sweet as the ocean with an aromatic sauce. The meatballs were flavorful and to your nona's standards. The true stand outs were the risotto which shined through with the creamy texture and the broth that it was cooked in shined as bright as the san antonio sun. The ravioli had a citrus pop that elevated the perfectly al dente pasta. Smaller menu done to expert standards. Your new go to modern Italian destination.
Great spot for a romantic bite to eat and share a bottle of wine! Food was delicious and not crazily priced!
First time since it opened, taking over the old NOLA venue. An Italinate menu with nice variety. Calamari for appetizer with green shishito peppers deep fried were a nice start along with special mention for the Southside SA cocktail - gin mint and cucumber in a coupe glass was very refreshing. The porterhouse pork with polenta and the garlic crispy chicken get bonus points. Modern decor and a nice bar. Service was very good, friendly and prompt. Fiona, the manager, was very nice and engaging with a sharp eye on everything. I'll be back

Came here for a birthday dinner for a friend and had a great night. We got the garlic rolls, mussels, burrata, and 3 different pizzas - pepperoni, margherita, and spicy salami. The garlic rolls are amazing. We had to keep ordering more and more for the table. The mussels were delicious and the soup they were in was even better. The burrata was okay in my opinion, but the bread that came with it was sooooo good. All of the pizzas were great. My favorite was the margherita. Our server kept our waters full and checked on us, but the wait was about 30 minutes for the pizzas, which sucked a little. We were seated outside, which was pretty cold. I think if they added heating elements outside it would have made it more enjoyable. All in all, we still had a great time and the food was great. I would come back here.
Location and atmosphere are casual and nothing special but the food made up for it! We inhaled the Arancini balls which just needed a little more sauce and then scarfed down the Supremo pizza which was delicious. The Scallop Tagliatelle was also very good. They have two desserts, Brown Butter Cake and Tiramisu, so get both as they are both delightful.

We went on a Saturday. On the weekend they only offer brunch and dinner which I didn't know and we arrived during brunch. The options were VERY limited with only one pasta option (that was the only reason we went). The spicy pizza was drowning with honey which we did not like. Sandwich was good, so was the only pasta option. The appetizers were great and the service was good too. It was pricey but I'm willing to give it another try during dinner time. I'll have to update this post after I try more pasta dishes
Tbh we first calme cause we saw pancakes and brunch in there advertising and where a little disappointed to find out that it was only on Saturday and Sunday but besides that its was a nice and cozy atmosphere the menu is a lil small tho I feel like there could me more to it or more versitile but besides the foood was pretty good one of the pastas was a lil bland while the other one was PACKED with flavor which was a lil intense but the calamari’s where amazing by far one of the best ones I had and the bar drink is where pretty good if you really like Italian food I would recommend but if you like it more in the passing or occasionally I would recommend to go to another place 🙌 also it is really pricy we only had 2 pasta 1 calamari and 2 drinks and it was 100 so be warned tbh I don’t think it’s worth the price but others might think a different way so have at it 🤷♀️
I had an early dinner at 3:30pm atmosphere is nice However the 2 things I drove an hour to have were out the Burrata and Scallop Tagliatelle . I was super disappointed and my waiter had a bad attitude after that , I tried the Focaccia and the seared iron flat steak and it was good but small portioned . I can say if you’re going to have dinner for 2 plan on spending atleast $120 to $150 plates are simple and small but super expensive . My daughter has ravioli and got literally 4 raviolis so yes quite pricey. We waited about an hour and half for our entrees . My steak was $34 I believe . Soda is 6.00 so yes you will be spending a pretty hefty penny for what I think we can get at Trader Joe’s !!
I ordered the primo breakfast. I dont like sausage and asked for bacon. They didnt have any bacon. I wasnt offered any other meat. My bf ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs came out over easy, not poached. His 1st cup of coffee was luke-warm. We paid $70 to eat 3 eggs and a potato. The best thing about this place was the water. The server asked how everything was and my bf said not good. The server just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Not happy with this place at all. I definitely would not recommend it and definitely never going again.
