Great food with lot of options for everybody, including vegetarian and vegan options. The service is prompt, courteous and food was served hot and pretty quickly. Dishes tasted amazing and the boba teas are great as well. They have lot of space for seating, indoor as well as outdoor with great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family.

This place was so much fun. I've never had Thai but my boyfriend had so we hit this place up to expose me to it. He had the medium spicy pad thai and I had the pad wun sen, not spicy. We also ordered the cucumber salad and pan fried dumplings. Everything was delicious. The dumplings were crispy and juicy inside. The cucumber salad had an amazing ginger dressing. (I used to think I didn't like ginger!) The meals were both exceptionally seasoned. Our waitress was so kind as well. Very helpful in helping me decide what to order and gave great descriptions of the meal as far as how I would experience them. The atmosphere would be pretty good for a date but it is still family friendly. It was definitely busy when we went but it didn't feel overwhelming in a way other places can. The lighting is dim but you can still see what you are eating. There are only two things I would warn about. One the parking can be a little confusing. It feels at first that there is very limited parking but there is a sign saying more parking below or rather next door. So there is plenty of parking. Secondly, for any who may be unstable on your feet, please be careful walking in. The patio is warped in some places. Overall a definite 5 out of 5. I am excited to go back and try new dishes.

This place has the flavor you're cravin' . Don't slave away behind that stove! Come to Tong's , I swear this place you can't go wrong with. The thai curries always a favorite , the basil noodles 🍜 😋 on another level, the flavor is just everywhere once you take a bite. Good night! The curries amazing.

Tong's Thai is hands down the best Thai restaurant I've tried in Texas — not just in San Antonio. I discovered it through Google and Yelp while traveling, and it truly lives up to all the glowing reviews. The customer service is excellent, and the food quality is outstanding. We ordered six different dishes, and every one of them was full of flavor. I especially recommend the papaya salad and crab fried rice.

Had a delicious dinner here recently. I ordered the Penang chicken curry. It was fantastic. Also had a large Sapporo beer. I love the decor. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our appetizers arrived very quickly. We ate inside though they had a large outdoor patio. I highly recommend Tong’s Thai restaurant!!!

Our first time! We were in the mood for some Thai and our go-to places were already closed. I found this spot after doing some google search and reading the reviews had me motivated to try. It will NOT disappoint! Please do come and visit! Service - immediately greeted upon entry, to our seating, and in between dining along with asking at the end how we enjoyed and if it was our first time or repeat customers. Genuine service & there is no beating that! Atmosphere - cultural, love the intimate design indoors, also has outdoor available, felt welcomed and comfortable. Food - where do I begin! My husband and I decided to start of with sharing the wonton soup. Broth alone is so rich in flavor! It’s joined with noodles, wontons, bok choy and a smaller meat that’s in cubes (didn’t know what it was) maybe pork? But nonetheless amazing. For our main entree, I decided to go with the massaman curry (beef and shrimp, spicy level) it came joined with roti and added white jasmine rice. So rich! Dinner portion is plenty! Going to have some left overs for work the next day for sure. My husband got a Thai tea boba. It is made from scratch and I am not the biggest fan but we both loved it! Not too sweet, nor bitter, just right along with the boba. Not hardened, med soft and not too sweet either. His course entree was the honey pecan shrimp. RICHHHHH. Just can’t find the words to provide the detail needed to say how good everything we had tasted! We will be back! We would love to try more from their menu.

Amazing! Wow! The food was delicious, and waitstaff was outstanding. Highly recommend. Very authentic. They've been around for many years. We will be back. Again, it's an excellent find.

First time diners and we love thai food. The host was polite and kind. The server got our drinks right away and answered questions while making recommendations. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. The thai tea was one of the best I've ever had. The food came out timely and was delicious. All the flavors were on point. The portions were not as generous as I've had at others, but they were definitely enough. We will definitely recommend this place and be back soon.

Went here for the first time after reading such good reviews for the food. Tong’s Thai did not disappoint. We had amazing food and service. Only point I’d like to make is that they automatically added a 20% gratuity for being a party of 7, though four of the 7 were kids. And we didn’t know ahead of time that this would be the case. Otherwise, the prices were reasonable and the serving sizes were ample. And our waiter was also really good. The ambience is also very clean and welcoming.

First time at Tong's, and it didn't disappoint. Surprisingly, we happened to come in time for the lunch specials, so we went ahead and made our choice from the various specials that all sounded great, and for $9.99, it was an easy decision. The food was fresh and very tasty. Try the Thai hot sauce if you want 🔥🔥🔥. So good! Happy we found this place. Update: I'm a regular now. The Thai sauce has me back for more at least monthly 🌶🌶🌶😋

I’ve been coming to this Thai restaurant for about two years now, and I’ve usually had great food and good service. Unfortunately, today’s experience was very disappointing. The overall vibe was off from the start. The waitress we had seemed irritated with simple questions and gave a lot of attitude. I ordered my usual chicken fried rice and asked about getting a half portion of sweet and sour chicken, which I’ve done before. She complained and said they only offer one size. I then asked if I could order the kids size since I wouldn’t eat a full portion, and she immediately said no. I also asked if soup could be included with my full-size dinner plate, and again was told no because it’s only for the lunch special—which is fine—but the way it was said was very rude. We then spoke with another waiter who brought out the manager/owner. Unfortunately, she was also very dismissive and flat-out said no with an attitude. It wasn’t about the rules—it was about how we were spoken to. After being a loyal customer for years, this experience really turned us off, and sadly we won’t be returning.

Went during lunch break with toddler in car for pick up. I ordered Hot & Sour soup togo with a side of rice and received Egg Drop. So I called to inform them of their mistake and was automatically blamed for the mistake! She claimed to be the manager and never mentioned a refund or exchange. She just kept on how it was my fault! I asked for her name and she said "It doesn't matter anyway" and hung up on me. Soooo disappointed with customer service! Ps. Her name is Melissa S. Its on the receipt since she took my order!
