This is a good little place where they serve the best home made chips around. We had barbecue ribs and half a roast chicken. Both had great flavours and cooked to perfection. If you want a change from the tapas bars and restaurants cooking the same food this ideal. Nice ambient music and good decor. Not a massive menu but we would come back.

Hoi Beste revieuw lezer. Normaal ben ik niet zo van een berichtje of recensie schrijven, maar voor dit restaurant maak ik graag een uitzondering. Onze vakantie naar Playa del Ingles was helemaal top. We hadden een fijn Hotel waar een goed ontbijt geserveerd werd. Voor het avond eten hebben we meerdere tentjes bezocht. Van de 8 dagen zijn we er 3 bij La Candente geweest. Dit restaurant steekt met kop en schouders boven de andere uit. Het eten was zo lekker en alles was vers. Je kon de chef door de open keuken bezig zien met zijn magie. Hij was vol gefocused en alles werd tot in de puntjes bereid. Als laatste avondmaal tracteerde ik mijzelf op een biefstuk van de chef. Deze werd met precisie van een groot stuk vlees gesneden en tot perfectie gegaard. Ik heb nog nooit zulk mals vlees gehad. Loetje kan hier nog wel het een en ander van leren. De bediening was ook erg goed net als de Irish koffie als toetje. Zit je in de buurt ga zeker even langs. :) Ik kijk uit naar ons volgende bezoek aan het eiland en om hier weer te eten. Fantastisches Ribeye Steak vom Chef auf Holzkohle gegrillt. Wunderbare Weinempfehlung und sehr nette Kellnerin Sabine. Sehr gutes Restaurant mal ohne Meerblick, welcher einem auch nicht fehlt. Zart, schmackhaft und Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. 👍 120%ige Weiterempfehlung in Playa de Inglés/ Maspalomas ☺️

We recommend to visit Candente. Everything we’ve tasted was of the highest quality and delicious. The chef and the staff know what they are doing here. Very friendly and sweet. This restaurant is a very welcome surprise, especially when you compare it to the other restaurants in area of Maspalomas. We’ll be back soon!!

Kwaliteit! Heel erg lekker vlees! De bediening is top en je merkt dat alles met zeer veel zorg bereid is. Aanrader! Enige klein minpuntje voor mij misschien; standaard zitten er geen groenten bij het vlees, maar dat is omdat ik hou van wat groenten in het hoofdgerecht. Gezellig terras, gezellige inrichting! De zaak is nog maar anderhalve maand open, maar zeker een bezoek waard.

Came out to celebrate our anniversary, had the most wonderful time. The hostess Sammy went above and beyond for us from the moment she greeted us to the moment we left. Locale accogliente, ben curato, cucina a vista e personale gentile e professionale. Cibo di ottima qualità con rapporto qualità-prezzo assolutamente in linea. Diffidate dai tanti locali turistici che si trovano a pochi metri ma se volete assaggiare della buona carne questo è sicuramente il posto giusto. Personalmente siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti ed è stata una delle pochissime occasioni in cui sono tornato in un ristorante per due volte di seguito. Porzioni abbondanti, dolci buoni e costi contenuti (in quattro persone prendendo un antipasto a persona, un piatto principale a persona, bevande, contorno e dolce abbiamo speso meno di 25€ a persona).

Sammi was a fantastic waitress, she was happy and enthusiastic, so much so that we thought she might own the place! She recommended the delicious fillet steak (it was the most expensive item on the menu at 25 euros, but worth it!) She also recommended a delicious bottle of red wine. Service was efficient and with a big smile. A bit of light background music, full tables and other happy staff made the whole place feel relaxed but a bit more upmarket than the Irish bars and other cafe type places around. A really lovely evening meal.

En oansenlig krog utan bästa läge men vilken toppen service. Maten från grillen var toppen och missa inte att beställa Sangria, den bästa jag druckit. Inget från en kran utan gjord ”på riktigt”.

Pääruoka maukas, joskin omaan makuun lisukkeiden määrä pieni (tästä en luonnollisesti valita). Palvelu jopa ala-arvoista. Laskun saaminen ei ole ikinä ollut näin hankalaa. Lisäksi erinäisten sekoilujen jälkeen meiltä yritettiin rahastaa punaviini mitä ei oltu tilattu. 30min ihmettelyn jälkeen omistaja(?) selvitteli laskun kohdalleen ja antoi pienen alennuksen.

The menu needs to be updated. They don't have Peri-Peri chicken despite that being in their name and branding. They were out of pork tacos. I wanted two Aregentinian dumplings but they only had 1. Disappointing

A shouting waitress.. to get customers while I am eating. I don’t like that. Anyway the steak wasn’t very good, chewy and not great taste. Fries were also not to my liking. What I disliked the most was the waitress, putting empty salt bottle on the table for example. When I told her it’s empty, she joked I ate it all. But still didn’t get us a new one. There was nobody else so it was quiet otherwise. But the atmosphere was quite bad because of that. Food was okay but not great and the waitress was too much present in a bad way.

Food was very disappointing. We trusted google reviews and went dining, however burger was overcooked, grill salmon - overcooked, Caesar salad - without chicken fillet - processed chicken instead. Would never recomend to anyone.

L'avantage avec les avis Google, c'est que l'on peut les modifier après plusieurs passages au même endroit. Je me suis rendu 3 fois dans cet établissement. Les deux premières fois, j'étais content du service et de la cuisine. Par contre, la troisième fois, j'ai trouvé le service déplorable et la qualité de la cuisine médiocre (oui oui, médiocre !). Autant j'étais content les deux premières fois, autant je suis très déçu de ce dernier passage qui était en dessous de tout !!!! Le rapport qualité prix est bien si vous tombez un bon jour. Lors du troisième passage, quelle déception tant au niveau culinaire qu'au niveau de la sympathie de la serveuse ( qui tient bien son rôle de commerciale devant vous mais qui n'hésite pas a faire ses commentaires sur les clients qui viennent de partir !) Si j'ai mis 2 a l'ambiance, c'est parce que, lorsque je vais au restaurant, j'aime quand il y a un peu de monde autour de moi et, malheureusement, il n'y a pas grand monde. Ce que je peux plus où moins comprendre d'ailleurs. Bref, déçu !

Hebben hier 1x gegeten. Bestelden kip piri piri. 2x zoet 1x medium pikant. Binnen 10 minuten werd de kip geserveerd. Helaas was de kip koud, aan de buitenzijde besmeurd met een saus. Daarnaast was de bediening ook niet je van het. Conclusie: Weggegooid geld, dus daar gaan we niet meer heen.

Vorsicht! Abzocke bei Getränken! Wir waren heute dort um etwas zu trinken mit unseren Kindern! 3 Colas und eine Sprite! Es gibt dort keine Karte für Getränke - der Chef kam noch nicht dazu eine zu drucken wurde mir extra von einer deutschen Mitarbeiterin, die vorgeschickt wurde mitgeteilt! Wir sind mitten in der Saison, so ein Märchen lass ich mir nicht auftischen, dachte sowas gibts nur im TV. 12€ für 4 kleine Getränke nach nachfragen, ich möchte nicht wissen was wir ohne nachfragen bezahlt hätten.

Went to Candente for our Saturday evening meal as we love BBQ and open-fire cooking. A massive disappointment. The ribs were so tough I left most of the meat on the bones (despite wrestling with them for twenty minutes) and the sauce was minimal and flavourless. The alleged Peri-Peri chicken was just a bland lump of floppy chicken with no seasoning or sauce. The only enjoyable/edible element was the green salad. Without doubt, the worst BBQ/open fire meal we have ever had. I don't know if the normal chef was sick or on holiday but whoever was in kitchen knew nothing about open-fire cooking (or any sort of cooking for that matter). The service was initially OK but went downhill quickly as the restaurant got busier. There was no sign of the magical Sammy mentioned in other reviews and we waited 25 minutes for the bill and eventually I had to go and find someone to ask for it. An unpleasant experience all round. Avoid.
