It's a small taco shop offering a variety a great Mexican food, I got the carne asada burrito both times coming here. My dad got the combination burrito taco plate. The plate comes with lots of rice and beans and a shredded beef taco and burrito. It was great.
We've been going to Armando's for over 30 years. This year our family & friends celebrated our grandson's high school graduation!! It was awesome!! 🥰
Delicious Chiles rellenos freshly made at midnight. Its like your grandma stays up all night waiting to make you all her classics like chilaquiles and quesadillas. The best was the service, the kitchen crew was friendly and fast to get out order out. And as for the unpleasant comments re: cleanliness of the place, I found it to be clean and well kept. It's an older joint tho, give it a chance! I recommend the chiles rellenos for a meat free meal that'll take you back to nana's house.
I've been coming to Armando's since 1999. Food has always been great... Carne Asada Fries, Carne Asada Quesadilla, California Burrito are my optikns..... Great flavors
Heard about this place on TikTok but I live in North County. Finally I was around the area and I was able to get here. Also this place is 24 hours which is great. There were some people there who it looked like came from partying, probably TJ. Anyways I got a Carne Asada Quesadilla for parents and I got Carne Asada Fries. The Carne Asada Fries were one of the heaviest I've ordered compared to other Mexican spots. As for the taste, it was really good. Nice mix of the guacamole and Cotija cheese. No complaints and great food!
Super California Burrito is very big, full of carne asada, fries, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. Super tasty and the price was right. Rolled tacos were excellent and stuffed with meat. Red and green salsas were great. The cashier was very friendly and confirmed your order up front - I appreciate that. Great job. Highly recommend Armando's.
Super cali burrito is one of the best in San Diego. Sometimes the lady at the counter seems to be in a bad mood but the burrito and carne asada fries are worth it.
The first spot we stopped at in our visit to San Diego. This is THE spot. It has everything you want, sketchy spot, 24hrs, 1 cook holding it down, DELICIOUS food and good prices. Portions amazing, flavorful meats. We loved it. If anything we ordered too much 😅
Prices are pretty fair the food is solid especially the burritos !!! Don't ask about roll tacos I dislike them wherever I go lol best thing it's 24 hours I go there at least once a month
CA burritos were amazing. Carne Asada was seasoned very well, still juicy and tender. Great fries to meat ratio. Fries weren't used as a filler to skimp out on the meat. Parking is very very limited in the lot. Was easy enough to find street parking on the side street near the trolly station.
This little hole in the wall had one of the best burritos and steak fries I have ever had. I've tried a ton of Mexican food prior to my visit to Armando's and I have to say that this was some of the most unique flavors for Mexican food. I'm definitely going back anytime I'm back in the area. Awesome food!!!
This food tastes so good after a long day of working. It's local and everyone knows this place!

It's delicious. Delicious tacos with tender, flavorful carne asada. A true mom-and-pop shop and a must-try
I'm pretty much a 5am regular here before I start off to work. I just get my usual Carne Asada Burrito with no pico de gayo then I get the chimichangas or rolled tacos for my co workers. This has b…
The Taco Fiend is right on the money! Absolutely perfect California burrito! Thank you Taco Fiend, I'll be back!!
Food has been consistent since i was a kid. Always open 24/7. Most reasonable prices from all the Taco shops especially for the portions. Not sure why it's gotten busier lately but glad more people…
Bomb add food. Been going here as a kid. The service and ambience is incredible and come here eveytime!

Really impressed. Food was good quality. My favorite was the carnitas tacos (not pictured). Everything was huge portions. The wait wasn't too long and it was kind of busy. The cashier was nice and …
Wow! Due to the portions, we ended up sharing Armandos breakfast burrito (10 out of 10), one huge al pastor taco (one taco the size of 3-4 Street tacos - and also delish), and 3 rolled tacos with cheese and Guacamole...cooked nice and crunchy with lots if cheese and Guacamole! Side of beans to try and also tasty! Jamaica was perfect - not too sweet. We are definitely coming back to this gem! Soooo good! And their prices are fair for the portions received. They do charge 3.99% for charging- suggest bringing cash. And no public restrooms.
I’ll start with the Pros: open 24hrs, big serving size, staff is kind if you’re kind, food is good. Cons: Card payment fee, parking, homeless and area in general is rough. Ordered the Super California Burrito, great size and good flavor, but for the price ($15) I’d pay the extra $3 and go to sayulitas, to get a cali there. Slightly overrated, but considering is a drunk spot it may actually be amazing after having some drinks.
Good place to get a quick bit but i wouldn't eat there bc there's a lot of homeless. I'm always being ask for money, which I usually help them but wouldn't take my family there to eat. The cook has some creepy look, every time I walk in to order, he just stair you down and its uncomfortable. I wish there was a wall so that specific cook doesn't look to the register. I don't get why he just looks at you constantly and I'm a guy. I get it if it was a girl, most guys star at girls but this guy is different. He doesn't seem dangerous or nothing but his star is just kinda weird.
This is what you call a hole in the wall… and bad looking. The place looks in bad shape it needs some TLC in a hurry. But let me tell you that food is a different story, hans down one of the top 3 breakfast burritos I have had in my life (54 years in San Diego) Armandos breakfast burrito come with real potatoes and not french fries. I put it on a scale and came out to 21.8 onces that’s a good size burrito for under 10.00 dlls. The red sauce is ok but the green stock a standing ovation. I will definitely will go back and try other items in the menu.

Was expecting better but sadly it's just too basic. I got the super Cali burrito and the meat didn't have flavor, fries were soggy and the shredded cheese was clumpy and cold which made the burrit…

8/10 times I go their I get some good food, customer service is an ass but who cares that's how it's suppose to be in family owned restaurants, besides the prices their are good and so is the food.
Love the rolled tacos here lots of cheese super crunchy been coming here for years I highly recommend \nSometimes parking Can be tough due to the small parking lot but the wait is worth it
Meh. Food was mid, nothing special, the salsa was very weird tasting, it wasn't spicy, it was a very weird taste to be honest. It was ok, large amount of food for the price, just tasted meh. The place itself isn't very inviting, I'm glad I didn't go withy kid, and I'll leave it at that.
New workers at night are inconsiderate and lazy.\nMe and my husband went because i Was craving roll tacos. Arriving i had to asked if i can use the restroom The cashier said that no, I laughed and …
Food is typically delicious but today this lady and guy cooking just not feeling it. The phone kept ringing and both would just look at it and when it finally got answered the guy cooking "como chingan". The phone gives y'all business, if it woulda been answered for me it woulda been great cuz I was in a rush. If y'all don't want the phone to ring, either disconnect it or turn it off because some of us need it. These two this morning should not be in this industry dealing with people. As much as I used to like this place they just lost another customer.
The worst service I ever had! This woman at the counter began arguing with me, after I drove back and returned the wrong order! She told me that if my husband was a man and had pants then maybe I w…
BEWARE!!! The cashier lady is the rudest person that I have ever met in customer service. She will mistreat you and will make sure you know she is annoyed for asking what ingredients the food has. The first time I tried to understand because everybody has a bad a day but second time in a row I was mistreated by this lady. I prefer to give business to somebody else that will treat me right. You better get rid of that lady before she ruins the business. I was there at 4:30 PM today Monday, February 2, 2026.
I love Armando‘s but lately they have been slacking I feel like the food isn’t the same anymore. The salsa taste like tap water idk if it’s just me, and I get bubble guts every time I eat here
