No complaints...found it to be a perfect place to spend time while waiting to board. Tables were regularly cleaned and there was a full spread for lunch with sandwich fixins including deli meats, tuna salad, egg salad, plus green salad, soups, crudite and more. Well drinks available at no cost with an upcharge for higher end brands. No hot items other than soup and toasted breads for breakfast or lunch but what they offered was still done well. Jmo...hope it helps

Cecilia, manager, has a team at the Aspire lounge that truly endeavors to take care of all of the customers. On a day with staff members that have called out sick and no showed to work, the whole team has busted to make it sure it doesn’t show. Cecilia and her team has show a capacity to overcome limitations and still strive to ensure all customers are taken care of. Kevin, supervisor, has been a great leader. As a jack of all trades, he continued to step in throughout the day providing exceptional customer support. Don’t hesitate to come to this lounge. Incredible service.

I have no idea why people have such a horrible opinion over this lounge. Granted - I have the priority pass so I’m not accustomed to luxury. Although, I felt like this lounge exceeded every single one of my expectations. There was a small wait, although if you stay in line it moves fairly quickly. It is gorgeous. Wall to floor windows to watch the planes take off. Wonderful snacks, wonderful drinks, lots of space. I really enjoyed myself. There should be much more 5 star reviews! My experience was nothing short of lovely.

First time to the new aspire lounge! Great food options. People are very friendly. Cecilia went above and beyond to get me milk for the Oreos! Top tier performance!

As a thriller author, I travel a lot to research locations. One of the lounges that I stop by frequently is the aspire lounge in San Diego. I’m sitting here right now enjoying the ambience before my next flight. This interior location is great because there’s no loud music to speak of and everything’s really quiet. The temperature is quite comfortable if a tiny bit cool. But, that prevents me from sitting here and sweating. The food offerings are pretty simple, just snacks, chips, salad plate, cheese cubes, and such. There are a good amount of coffee and tea drinks as well. The bar has a very full liquor complement, with wine and local beer. The liquor is not included in the price. It looks like you have to pay with card and then there is a tip jar with money. Entry into the lounge sometimes as a challenge, it can be overloaded. I use a particular credit card to get in, but the rules always are changing so double check before you stop by with your hopes high. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restrooms are pleasantly clean just like the main airport so that’s always a bonus. There’s comfortable seating for singles and couples all over the place. Near the entrance, there is a more quiet area, almost like a library reading room. I’ve never used the showers here, but they say they have them. I will definitely be back to this lounge.

Thank you for the great breakfast, the place is clean and peaceful. I appreciate the short time to check in and availability. Everything works good. Have yet to see the bathroom.

The Aspire Lounge isn’t the largest or most extravagant, but it excels where it truly matters: a calm atmosphere, quality food, and staff who genuinely seem pleased to have you there. From the moment you step inside, the bustle of the terminal fades away. It’s clean, quiet, and effortlessly relaxing. The buffet is replenished frequently (credit to whoever’s behind the broccoli salad), the drinks are complimentary and thoughtfully served, and the seating is well spaced so you’re never uncomfortably close to anyone. One note to bear in mind: a sign outside often states the lounge is full, prompting guests to wait. In my case, I waited no more than five minutes before discovering the space was only half occupied. Hopefully this is addressed, as this lounge deserves to be enjoyed, not queued for.

I liked the fact that they open at 5:00am. Everyone was professional and nice. Lounge has a great view. Food was good and the lounge was clean.

Sometimes it gets to match capacity and you have to wait outside, but it goes pretty fast. I sometimes struggle to find a seat in here, but if you’re patient for a few minutes, usually someone gets up to leave. They have complimentary cocktails, but if you want anything, besides the complementary brands, you have to pay for it. It’s pretty kid friendly and they usually have a pretty decent selection of things to eat. Reminds me a lot of the American admirals clubs.

It was a decent lounge. The coffee was really good. I just made a yogurt and fruit bowl with granola. It was really packed! The servers were very diligent in restocking the food bar.

Very good location with welcoming & working hard staff. Food & drink were good & abundant. The only issue is too many people lining up…maybe it is time to expand the facility?

We will start with the SAN airport is the most inconvenient airport I’ve been to. That said, prepare yourselves! I had a JetBlue red-eye to JFK after my cruise and was still able to get into the lounge, even though it was in a different terminal. You better do that before 2pm because that’s when the line starts to form. San Diego Airport is small, and there's a lot of construction going on, but hopefully it'll look great once the project is done. The food at Apsire was decent - chips, dips, sandwich fixings for the toaster, coffee, a full bar, and even coffee and horchata on tap. Seating is limited though, so it's better to get there before 2 PM. I got in by showing my Amex Platinum card and my boarding pass. My guest just had to show their boarding pass as well. The space was clean overall, minus the usual kids running around and screaming. The bathrooms were small, 1 urinal and 2 stalls. I didn’t see where they would have showers.

As a Priority Pass holder, I had free access to Aspire Lounge at San Diego Airport. While the lounge is not large, we were lucky to find a table. They offer simple food and coffee. Ordering the free juice requires going to the bar. I think it would be easier if they placed orange juice and ice water in the main service area. The window-side seating offers a great view of planes taking off. Overall, a nice spot for a quick break before a flight.

I am an Admirals Club member and this is the lounge available to us in this airport. It was very small with limited food choices. The people were very nice and it was a relaxing place to wait for my flight. It was super crowded and took a bit to get a seat. We had to wait in line to get in, and once in we had to wait to find a place to sit.

I paid $51 to use this lounge yesterday as I had 3 hours to kill. The food was decent as I already had lunch and I didn’t need to eat a lot. Coffee was absolutely delicious. However, every seat was taken and very crowded. People are talking loudly and not restful. I had to put my noise canceling headphones yet I can still hear people talk. One table opened up so I tried to move, but an agent said that was reserved!! How does that work?? How does someone else reserve a table even though I paid $51!! A creepy man sat next to me and placed his elbow on the side of my seat and I had to move away from him. When I moved, he left. What was that about?? The lounge should have a code of conduct rule posted and enforced. No talking!! They should get kicked out if they behave badly. Will not return.

It's well decorated and staff was friendly and professional, but the coffee tasted terrible (one machine was broken), food options were basic and limited, and several pieces of furniture were damaged (mainly ripped cushions). Still better than a terminal.

Yes, it is small, but I did find it clean. The food choices were minimal and the equipment wasn't all working. At 6:30a.m. on a Thursday it wasn't crowded. There were two coffee stations and one was out of order. Two toasters, and one required a fork to retrieve the English muffin. This was the first time in any of the lounges in more than a decade of regular and varied national travel that I have been charged for a shot of Baileys in my coffee!

Please repair or replace your AC system. The fans you scatter around don’t do the trick and give the impression that you can’t afford to pay the bill. I get it, the food is mediocre and the service is a match to that… but basic comfort like the AC is seriously a problem. Third time I’ve visited within two years and you have the same issue.

Small and crowded lounge with very little options. It was over capacity last time I went (and this happens so often they have a sign prepared for it). British Airways has lots of work to do at SAN.

Don't get a Chase Sapphire Reserve card! Lounges are NOT a benefit. This is yet another lounge that doesn't have any capacity and by the time this line goes down, you have to board your flight. Worthless!

A complete shambles. This is the only lounge available for oneworld customers, yet it’s shared with Priority Pass, Amex, and paying guests. It doesn’t matter whether you’re flying business or first class—you can still expect to wait up to an hour to get in. Once inside, it’s very underwhelming. Don’t waste your time.

Nothing about this lounge screams Aspire. If you have a hard-earned pass, don’t waste it on this lounge AT ALL. 1) No hot foods! (The only hot food is chicken soup.) 2) If I wanted to spend my lounge pass just eating salads and cold meats, I would do that outside out of the lounge. 3) They had a fancy tea station where you can pour it out by tap but nothing came out of tap. 4) Spacious-ish but lounge seats hardly looked inviting. 5) Plugs didn’t work for some tables. Also plugs are dirty. I can clearly see the scum on the edges of the plugs. Gross. 6) The crowds make this place look like a fish market. And not the cute Tsukiji Fish Market kind. 7) Plastic forks and spoons. What is this, a takeout store? 8) A glass awning over the food table which I understand is for food safety laws but it makes it horrible to reach inside to get your food. Anyone who’s shorter than 5’6”… good luck trying to fish for your arugula salad. 9) Open-floor seating basically means you can hear every conversation happening around you. And you can bet they can hear yours. 10) Cleaning staff dragging around their dirty trays AROUND THE LOUNGE to collect dirty plates and cups instead of you know… doing the sane thing of collecting the plates and cups by hand and then disposing them away from public eyes. 1 star for a decent enough selection of complimentary drinks at the bar. 1 star because I can walk into any other lounge and get a complimentary Bloody Mary. And to think they charge $40 for this lounge under Loungepair!! Yeah, this is a no. The international Aspire lounges are much better than this one.

I only use this lounge twice a year, and twice is to much. Again the coffee machine is out of order at 6am. Only 1 machine now. Air pots empty. Very limited food selection. No breads ,but the buffet has ham, cheese, cream cheese and condiments .
