Excellent customer service, relaxing atmosphere, smooth jazzy vibe, great food and fast service! Our favorite is the chicken BBQ pizza and the Antipasto salad. Dine in or take out! 💯☺️🍕🍝 Great selection of wine as well 🍷 🥂

I ate at this place tonight (4/16/22) and it was great. The service was excellent and the food as well. Window seating is really cool 😎. Upon leaving the staff said "....thank you for coming and have a good night...." I will be returning to this establishment. *update Took my family here yesterday (September 3rd) and again the service was great and my kids loved the chill environment. We got the mushrooms, 20 inch spaghetti pizza, mozzarella sticks, eggplant and spaghetti and a small pepperoni pizza for my youngest.

That South Park has an amazing variety of all kinds of cuisines you probably already know, but that not always has to be pricey, well that’s Mazara Trattoria. Their prices are pretty decent. We ordered a salad and a pizza with drinks and total was $36. The mozzarella pizza was flavorful and the service was friendly and our order came fast.

It was my first time visiting this venue and im happy I did. The customer service was phenomenal, the staff was very friendly. I order a slice of pizza to go and it was fresh, tasty, and massive. One slice could easily fill you up. They had a huge selection of wine, beer, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Big parking lot if your not walking distance too! I’d highly recommend checking this place out if you want a great neighborhood spot.

I know of the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in town, which is situated a little further away from Downtown. I consider it to be a hidden gem in San Diego. After my wedding, my partner and I and the family had lunch there, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The staff were extremely accommodating and provided us with everything we needed. The portions and quality of the food we received were exceptional. Absolutely gonna go back again!

The food is amazing, great wine list and great service. It's a restaurant that has been in the neighborhood forever. Not very crowded so it's a nice quiet place for a meal. I'm so glad they survived the pandemic. Really great place!

Absolutely wonderful dining experience! Pizza, wine and dessert were all super yummy. The staff even let us sit on the porch with the dogs off the leash and locked us in so they couldn't get out. They brought out snacks and water for the dogs. One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Great customer service, they truly treated us like family. Highly recommend and when I am back in SD I will for sure come back. 💛

Saturday night… Divina server was knowledgeable and gracious. Ni wonder since she is the Niece of owner and this great Family owned restaurant was started by her grandfather 37 years ago While not as popular as nearby new places, give me family tradition and longevity anytime. She suggested the Rigatoni with Italian sausage green pepper onion and mixed red sauce…mildly spicy and cooked perfectly. Huge portions are what family style is all about. House red wine for less than $7…very tasty Don’t fall for false marketing of popular places. Most young people have little clue about quality ethnic foods. So following the crowds and high prices mean nothing in this space. Monday night… This place helps restore my faith in authenticity and true value and family traditions. I had the place mostly to myself again and just can’t understand why. I have eaten in two other neighborhood Italian eateries and pizzarias. For taste, serving size, and friendly family service…Mazaras wins hands down. I came back fir the pizza before reviewing. I had a slice of “The Works” (minus olives) and oh my. Look at the photo for size! The size of most whole small pizzas back home. Since I didn’t think it would be enough, I ordered a side of meatballs. Again look at that portion of double bite sized meatballs with tons of the best marinara sauce I have had in maybe years! They also have a huge wine list at great prices with bottle service you can take out. I don’t see that anywhere else here. Prices are low for these times and this bill (attached) would be twice that at the popular joints down the street! I hope visitors or residents in this area will continue to support this place of taste and value for years to come. I’d rather be here than most any of the pretentious places in Little Italy of San Diego.

My wife and I came for the spaghetti pizza and it did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great dining spot to people watch as they walk down the street (We're not creepy I swear). Again, the spaghetti pizza was bomb, I cannot stress this enough. This is one of our new favorite local spots. Also, my wife loved the music playlist. Overall, 10/10 would recommend to to an emperor.. just not Putin.

I definitely loved this place. It was my first time around this area and was looking for a decent dinner meal with one of my loved ones. I'd recommend this place for anyone seeking an enjoyable dinner... it was also my first time eating spaghetti pizza, which was awesome! P.S. Went on a weekend and it wasn't that packed.

I had a flashback to Italy! What a great atmosphere and staff! I had the Italian sub and it was very tasty! The only reason I have 4 stars for the food is because the meat was great, the bread was soft and the flavors were there, but it either needs more meat to fill the bread, or it needs a smaller roll to balance the meat/bread ratio. But it was tasty! I met my coworker there and she had a personal pizza. It looked and smelled just like the pizza I had in Pompeii, and she said it was very good! I will be going back for pizza in the near future!

This was our first time here, just came upon this place by accident but we really enjoyed it! Awesome food and atmosphere for a great price. Also, the service was REALLY good - attentive and friendly without being pushy. I’d definitely go here again and invite others for future visits :) please check this place out and support local!

I've had two small events here now. Sam and his wife took great care of us! The food is amazing. The stuffed shells is a hit Everytime! Located in a cute walking neighborhood in South Park. A few parking spaces in the back lot And street parking on the side. Very accessible. Public transit right out front. All around great family run restaurant. San Diego staple!

A wonderful, family run restaurant that's been a neighborhood staple for many years. Always drive by and have picked up pizza to go, but finally stopped in to try the deli counter for lunch. Large selection of drinks to choose from and the food was very good. Best part was the service though, very friendly and you can tell they take pride in running their restaurant for the community. Thank you for the delicious pizza! :)

RECOMMENDED! Curryosity in San Diego was an excellent experience from start to finish. Everything was well prepared and full of flavor. It was my first time eating Indian food so, I tried four different types of curry, ranging from mild to spicy, and each one was absolutely delicious and unique. The naan was incredibly fresh, soft, and easily a 10/10. A great place for anyone who truly enjoys Indian food and bold flavors. Oh, and the Pistachio ice cream was great!

My girlfriend and I eat here at least once a week, it’s our favorite restaurant in South Park. The samosa slims, butter chicken, naan, latkes, and so much more are perfect every single time. The staff is super friendly and we feel right at home

We loved our food at Curiosity! Beware… if it says it’s hot, it is, which was to my delight. The naan was excellent. We loved the samosas. I had the Mellow Mint Mood cocktail and absolutely loved it- it helped balance the heat in the Vindaloo curry. One person in our party got the salad and enjoyed it. Funny thing - the other restaurants in town were packed on the Friday afternoon (around 5 or 6p) we were there, so we felt a little suspicious when we got right in at a sweet table outside but it got busier while we were there and we were the fortunate ones who didn’t follow the crowds!

Always a great time! They offer a really amazing happy hour from 3 to 5 on some weekdays. Great cocktails! Outside of that they always have a delicious selection of build your own curry. Recently, they’ve added a delicious curry mussel dish to their menu that left me craving more! Great place for girl time or day night, fun art, cute patio that allows you to enjoy some South Park people watching.

Great happy hour during the week for drinks and appetizers. Highly recommend the curry fries and rack of lamb. Chill atmosphere and friendly service. One of my favorites in South Park.

We came upon this place while looking for a new place to eat while visiting from west Texas, and we were not disappointed! We got the green coconut curry, butter chicken, mussels, cheese naan, and gulab jamun as well as nimbu pani and spice on ice tea. Everything was flavorful and delicious with very generous servings for the price (although I wish we got just a little more rice). Next time we are in town I definitely want to dine in.

When having lunch in South Park you definitely have to stop by Curryosity for Happy Hour!😄The ambience, beautiful decor, amazing service and best of all the FOOD!! So much flavor and culture put into it! We ordered the cheese samosas, butter chicken, masala chicken wings with garlic naan! All were absolutely incredible!💯Highly recommended!!

I was thoroughly impressed by the unique ambiance, which seamlessly blends Indian, Middle Eastern and Western cultures. The restaurant's use of steel thalis for serving food, a tradition local to India, is a delightful touch that you rarely encounter in the United States. The Masala chai, while on the pricier side, was undeniably delicious, although it comes pre-mixed with a slight amount of sugar and lacks customization options. The outstanding customer service left a lasting impression; the staff's genuine friendliness and passion for their work made my dining experience truly memorable. Kristina was lovely and so was the dude at the bar. Don’t forget to checkout their unique collection of mixed drinks. My order was generously portioned, and the flavors were spot-on—I have no complaints there. Plus, parking was stress-free in this laid-back area with ample street parking. For a unique dining experience, I highly recommend reserving the indoor room next to the bar. There, you can enjoy your meal in the traditional Indian style—sitting on the floor with legs folded. Be sure to check out the picture of the room with its short tables and beds.

Our waiter Zach was amazing! We were very impressed, he was the one seating people, waiting tables, bartending, and serving. He was very attentive and professional. The food and drinks were just as impressively good. We happened to be there during happy hour, so we took advantage of the $5 prices. I definitely recommend this place! I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Probably the best Indian food I have had in San Diego! Game here for happy hours to take advantage of some of the menu items and it was definitely a good call. Bombay Sangria and Mango Mimosa were top notch! Mimosa didn't even taste to alcoholics so I could have just finished it all in a couple of big sips. Wings with the tamarind sauce were lovely. Came out hot and had that perfect flavor as well. Good amount of meat on those wings too - not just bones. Naan Bruschetta was very creative. The topping was chopped up tomatoes with some Sev, and even though I'm not a fan of tomatoes, I actually love this. Naan was fresh and soft and this overall combination went well together as well. Butter chicken and Saag Chicken with both freaking amazing! Very generous amount of chicken in there and very big portion size as well. The gravy of both of them were just perfect and so good, even plain. Saag had a little bit of a spice to it, which made it even better. Entree items came with rice and even the rice was flavorful on its own. None of the dishes seemed too oily or greasy like a lot of Indian places. We also got a Naan on the side to have with the curries, and oh my gosh what a beautiful Naan! Not extra buttery like some places, and this was just soft and light and fluffy and just beyond amazing! So warm as well. Husband and I could each have had one of our own! Had the Chocolate Samosas with Pistachio Ice Cream for dessert. The filling was actually just melted dark chocolate and tasted quite nice. We were hoping it would not be Nutella inside because that flavor can get too strong. Samosas when I send crispy and chocolate inside. Was melty. Really good end to the meal. 10/10 recommend this place. P. S. The service is surprisingly fast! Definitely recommend even more for that. ------ Second time coming here and I expected her to be amazing like last time but definitely not the case! I had made a reservation for 6 people ahead of time for a Saturday evening and when we got there, it turned out they had lost our reservation and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Service was extremely slow! First appetizer came within 5 minutes but the next two took good 15 minutes on top of that to come out. They came out pretty much just around the time the entrees came. Chicken Tikka Poutine: Really good. Waffle fries were nice and thick but still crispy on the outside. Curry sauce on top with lovely and portion size is quite good. Chicken Tikka: The pieces look quite large but extremely dry. Quite overcooked. The chicken itself is also too salty. Curry sauce and chutney(too less of this) on the side saved it. Nirvana Chicken Curry: I was surprised! Curry itself was amazing - really good flavor. But the chicken itself was overcooked. Butter Chicken: Good curry again, but chicken was definitely overcooked. Saag Paneer: Soft paneer and good amount of paneer as well. But the curry was not as good. Quite chunky and the flavor was a little off. Cocktails looked wrong! Got the Bombay Sangria like last time, but it did not look like sangria from a previous time at all. Orange in color (instead of the maroon like a regular sangria and like what did was last time). Also came in a regular wine glass instead of a stemmed one.

Curryosity is a great restaurant serving outstanding Indian food with a western twist. The happy hour appetizers and cocktails are only $5 each, well worth it to sample most, if not all with a small group. The traditional entrees are made very flavorfully and pair great with their authentically made garlic naan.

Really awesome Indian restaurant! They had the classics like Chicken Tikka Masala, Vindaloo, Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken, etc., but they also had some really interesting modern fusion things: we tried the Naan Bruschetta, and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was very fresh and excellent quality. Their cocktails were also super interesting: each one was inspired by various flavor profiles of Indian cuisine, and they were cocktails unlike anything I had tried before. The staff were also super friendly and responsive; great service! I highly recommend checking this place out!

Best naan I’ve ever had! Butter chicken was 🔥 too! And samosas 😍 not oily and very flavorful. I would skip the saag paneer next time (i like the chunky version, can’t find in SD) and drinks were too sweet for me but very pretty, but I’m sure great for other people. Great ambiance and staff, def will go back best Indian I’ve had in SD. We noticed that the food wasn’t oily at all which is a nice change from how oily Indian food can be.

Cozy, gorgeous and food was very good! They have happy hour ☺ for good prices plus you have more options to try and that's what we did! Samoas as always good, I ordered Sangria for drink and personally I like it...is not de regular Sangria you can find anywhere this one has special flavor. There was something we ordered sorry don't remember the name but is something rice and it was absolutely delicious! They have and special and beautiful room with pillows if you want to seat there i will for sure next time, everything was pink, the service was great 👍 the guy for sure is from India was very nice. There is more food to try and definitely I am going back and bringing some friends to try in this gem. Parking outside can be a little hard but not to bad.

What a cute little Italian spot. My girlfriend and I frequent South Park and have visited many of the neighboring shops/eateries and had seen Mazara Trattoria but never been. Then one day on a whim we decided to check it out and could not have been happier. We got the lunch specials and the bang for the buck was definitely there. It’s a smaller Italian eatery with a mini mart on the other side. It’s very home grown and that is what makes it special. The walls are hand painted and it incites a feeling of home and being welcome. All in all we enjoyed our meal and will stop by when we want a nice meal without breaking the bank.

Had early dinner at this place. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Pizza was thin crust yet crispy. Pasta was good too. Overall a nice place to try.

Tried the waffle fries, curry mac n cheese, cheese samosa, potato latka and chutney sampler. Chutney sampler needs to come with a warning that one of the chutneys is extra spicy. The potato latka was awesome. Curry mac n cheese was too gooey for my liking, while the waffle fries without the curry were great. Overall, love the variety in the food and the small eats options. The area is very difficult to find parking in though.

Great restaurant in a great part of South Park. The tofu masala and pita was delicious. Smaller portions than what I was expecting, but my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. They have a patio too and the atmosphere is chill and relaxing

Good food and nice atmosphere. The menu is varied but it is pretty much americanized Indian food. I felt rushed to do the order which it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Don’t expect large portions, they are small and maybe not enough depending on how hungry you are. The location is clean and nice, literally in the heart of South Park.

Fantastic little find in South Park. Went there for lunch. Tried the Butter Chicken Wrap and the Tikki Masala Bowl. The bowl was the clear winner. Rice and sauce absolutely delicious. The wrap wasn't as flavorful, but the tamarind and green sauces are pretty good and enhance the wrap just a bit. Never had a Diet Coke with rosemary sprig. It was an ok addition. Warning on ordering Diet Coke refills...they charge for them!

I was curious about the name and really want to try out this spot. Love the cute set up and the mural art on the wall. Menu has a nice variety and there's something in there for everyone. Please have a nice ambience , cute decor and the service is good. I was super excited to try the food, but it was a little underwhelming . We had the curry fries, tandoori chicken, mixed vegetable curry, samosas slim, garlic naan, masala chicken, and masala chai. I'm giving the three stars because some of the food items were good but some were not . For example, the tandoori chicken had no flavor at all. Bought the chicken and vegetable curry dishes tasted the same. The chai masala, fries and samosas were good .

Located near the corner of Fern and 30th, there was plenty of street parking around 5pm on a Friday. If you park at the meters, it’s free after six. They have a few tables outside on the sidewalk and a few tables in their patio. Be warned that you’ll most likely be bitten by mosquitoes or flies landing on your food. We sat out in the patio but then moved indoor when my legs got devoured by mosquitoes and popped up like hives. We ordered: Dynamite wings Samosa slim Curry fries Curry mac n cheese Chicken masala Butter chicken All the curry tasted the same. Sorry to say but it’s like me making curry in the Instapot and slapping it on the waffle fries, Mac, and wings. The samosa had potato fillings and came with a tamarind and chutney dip. The butter chicken came with a few pieces of shredded chicken while the masala was something I’ve never seen before. The pieces of chicken were on a plate with the masala sauce in a bowl in the center. I had more sauce than the masala. So it made it dry when the chicken is not in the sauce. For some reason the basmati rice was not good either. It was just plain. We spent a total of $95 and I didn’t feel like we got our monies worth when everything was just average. The service and ambiance was nice. It might have been different if we were able to add spice levels. The best item would be the garlic naan. My drink was a mojito and usually I ask for something sweet but all their drinks are on the sweeter refreshing side so can’t go wrong. The mojito was actually too sweet for my liking. It’ll be best if you can go during happy hour to try the same thing but less on your wallet.

Never again. Chicken in my pasta tasted like literal cardboard. The beer we normally buy at BevMo for $14 was $25. Tomato sauce was not fresh, tasted like Chef Boyardee. I could not eat my pasta because it was just not good. I didn’t want to feel like each bite was working a desk job, so I just left hungry instead. It’s been 30 minutes since we left and I am not sure if the nausea was caused by their food or from hunger. For two people sharing an appetizer and a single beer, 1 pizza and a pasta it was $89. The worst part is for an additional $30. We could’ve had top quality at a restaurant that uses real ingredients.

J
Jason Thomas

All can say wow, the pizza was hands down the worst pizza I’ve ever had. There was barely any cheese on it, and the sauce had a strange taste. The owner was very nice, but the pizza leaves a lot to be desired.

V
Victoria O

The customer service was great very friendly gentleman however the pizza was awful. Made me sick to my stomach. I asked for pepperoni and arugula and that’s not what I received at all. Not only that the pizza was still very much raw. The dough was not cooked and the pizza fell apart. Most of the beer in the refrigerator section was expired by 2 or 3 plus years. I hate to say this about the establishment but it’s an honest review
