Valentine's Day dinner was SPECTACULAR! 💘 Everything was fabulous! Caviar Caesar Salad 32 oz Tomahawk Godiva chocolate cheesecake Special butter cake The Forbidden Fruit cocktail!! AMAZING!!!
It was 4th of July and we needed a place to eat before the fireworks on the USS Midway. We're very happy with the choice here at Del Frisco's. If you're looking for saving some money, then this is not the place to go. But if you're looking for high-end food and don't mind spending a little bit extra for it, highly recommend it!
We had a great dinner at this steakhouse—the steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor! The overall meal was definitely on the rich side, so come hungry or be ready to pace yourself. We admittedly ordered way too much food for just the two of us, but the portions were generous and the leftovers lasted us for days—which we’re not mad about! Our server was very kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. All in all, it was a satisfying and indulgent experience, perfect for a special night out!
my fiance and I wanted to have our date night and did not make reservations anywhere. he always says tell the first goes somehow is always available for last minute reservations, and we got lucky that it was. even more lucky we decided to sit on the patio which apparently everyone else thought it would be too cold for so it ended up being just us for essentially our whole meal! the patio is very well heated and enclosed enough where you don't feel any of the cold outside, you overlook the water and it's so beautiful and intimate. our great experience doesn't stop there, or service was amazing, our server was very knowledgeable, tentative, and sweet. we ordered a variety of dishes starting off with a caviar which tasted amazing. we both ordered the ribeye steak medium cooked since they usually undercook their steaks. we got a side of mac and cheese lobster, broccolini, and their mushrooms. we ordered their Paloma which was interesting because it has tequila and Mezcal in it, if your Mezcal lover definitely recommend trying this. overall this is a great, fine dining Steakhouse for date night in downtown over the waterfront.
As I would expect, I enjoyed very much my dinner at Del Frisco. Nice decoration with a quiet atmosphere, the team was very attentive and addressed all my requests. The bone-in ribeye was incredibly tasty. I asked it rare and it was perfectly prepared. The wild mushrooms were pretty good too!
Definitely recommend this place for rooftop dining, a family outing or a romantic date. We indulged in the famous addictive melt in your mouth bread and toasted to the best espresso martinis in the city. The combination of their seafood and steak selection is unparalleled. The thick cut bacon that’s sous vide for two days and dressed in a smoked bourbon molasses sauce is unlike anything we’ve ever tried. A special thank you management team, Peter, who was remarkable in making sure our evening was top tier, from making the reservation to continuously checking on us to make sure the service and was up to standards. He also recommended the perfect wine selection to pair with the dishes. Thank you Riley for the kindness and humor while delivering bread to us multiple times, warning us how we may eat a whole loaf to ourselves (which we did) & to the amazing talent, our ears are still ringing with joy and we can’t wait to hear you again! I can’t thank you all enough for making our night unforgettable.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Del Friscos where Gaven was our server, and I must say, the experience was outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Gaven's warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. Not only was the service exceptional, but the food was also absolutely delicious. Every dish that we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main course to dessert, each bite was a culinary delight that left us wanting more. The BUTTER CAKE IS A MUST! If you're looking for a place with great food and excellent service, be sure to visit Del Friscos and ask for Gaven as your server. You won't be disappointed!!!
Wonderful service. Staff was very attentive. Absolutely fantastic food. We had the tasting menu. Got caesar salad and wagyu meatballs for the appetizer; 2 8 Oz strip steaks, a filet minion, and a lobster tail for the protein; mashed potatoes and creamed spinach for the sides; and chocolate moose and butter cake with butter pecan ice cream for the desserts. Every element of the meal was fantastic. Also had the old fashion with ear Grey bitters, which was delicious.
Had an amazing anniversary dinner here! The atmosphere was very nice! We were seated within a few minutes of arriving with a reservation! Every employee we encountered was extremely pleasant and kind! The service was quick and efficient! The food was also amazing! Definitely recommend for a date night!
All around a great restaurant. Good food, great atmosphere, quality service. They had live music when we were there and he was a good singer, but but too loud. We could listen to him in the background and still have a conversation. We sat outside and it was just great seeing the bay and getting a nice breeze in the middle of summer. Well definitely go back here next time we have guests in town.
This is the nicest Del Frisco’s I’ve ever been to. The food is way better here than what I experienced at the other locations as well. Great espresso Martinis as well. We had my friend’s 50th birthday here as well. Great service and we had a nice room off on the side for the dinner. The room had a TV in it but allegedly it didn’t have cable or we would have watch the NBA finals game. Definitely would come back and highly recommend this for a nice dinner experience.
After running LA Marathon, I was famished and this was the first restaurant I encountered on Century City. I decided not to look any farther. The location ( except for the steep steps up) was perfect! The seating seemed comfortable, almost homey yet the place was sophisticated enough for the wine connoisseur or just a hungry lady like me who only care for any food that can be available. Surprise, the boiled garlic oyster was superb in taste served in 5 oyster shells and my Prime Rib Steak was rich in flavor! I had mashed potatoes on the side and even that, didn’t fail. For someone on the hunt for affordable meals, this is a royal treat specially after burning 2,700 calories on that 26.2 miles! If you’re in the area, give this place a try. Service was friendly and speedy , food was amazing, just bring your cc’s ! :)
Friendly, upbeat service. Nice atmosphere on the patio. Food was terrific with well prepared, high quality steaks. Highly recommend the creamed corn with shisito peppers. The sweet al dente corn with earthy, smokey peppers was a great accompaniment to the meal. Asparagus with pistachios were cooked perfectly. The crab cake with lobster sauce was amazing.
We had a private dining room for 12. It was great, but I'm unable to comment on the overall atmosphere of the restaurant . And I have no idea what the bar scene is like. Our service was FANTASTIC - attentive, pleasant and personable. The food was good. Our group had everything from the filet to the tomahawk to the New York strip. Again, all very good but nothing "memorable". Someone in our group got the salmon and it was dry (but you don't go to a steak house for fish). The lobster mac and cheese and the side of potatoes were pretty excellent. My wife's cocktail had to be returned because it had old grapefruit juice - no big deal - but if you're a high end place, fresh juice would be ideal. I'd compare it to Flemming's - pretty sure bet for great meal.
The service was really good. I was able to book and get a reservation the same day. The waiter was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The bay view was beautiful, especially at sunset. The food was very flavorful and well prepared. My only qualm was the lobster bisque. I've heard that the lobster bisque was really good but I was extremely disappointed when I finally got to taste it (my reason for choosing this restaurant) and it was extremely salty. The waiter did say some other customers had the same sentiment in regards to to the bisque, as well.
We went here for my birthday with 3 others and sat upstairs in the veranda. Beautiful place and it's San Diego ... Does it get any better? Valet is 15 bucks and is about 150 feet away. Service by everyone was great although our server was average and not very engaging for a new restaurant. Get excited dude. We had carpaccio, tune tartare, salmon and aged ribeye and blue cheese wedges and dessert the amazing part. Tuna tartare was really good, carpaccio was a bit thick and ok, the salmon started off awesome with a light crispy top, but quickly the flavor disappointed and was boring. The hash it's served over was good. The aged ribeye was stellar ... Hands down a great steak. Major props. The dessert ..m butter cake was excellent, best butter cake around. The pineapple upside down was meh. Wine selection was huge. It is spendy thought. Sides are 17 bucks ... For corn and spinach. But it's San Diego waterfront. Go and enjoy .... It's a good place, is prices weren't so steak in would have given it 5 starts. Also I did get super sick that night with stomach flu or food poisoning. Which never happens to me, but it's not fair to put that on them. Although I'm certain it was something I ate.
We came here for a dinner date and loved the ambiance—our table had an incredible view of the bay, and watching the sunset while we ate made the whole experience feel extra special and romantic. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was absolutely perfect. Well-seasoned, tender, and flavorful—I even got garlic butter on the side, but honestly didn’t need it at all. That’s how good it was. Unfortunately, my husband’s experience wasn’t quite as smooth. He ordered the 45-day dry-aged steak, medium, but it came out very rare. A bit of a letdown considering how much we were looking forward to trying it. Overall, the atmosphere and my dish were great, but a little more attention to detail on the steak temperatures would’ve made it perfect.
Ok experience. The staff was great, but the functuay is very bland and outdated. The windows were dirty. The food was ok...the appetizer bread was very greasy and no flavor, the calamari was extremely sweet and soaked in some sort of sauce that made the calamari very mushy, and the steaks were cooked correct but not seasoned right. They lacked a lot of flavor.
While the crab 🦀 cake appetizer was a 10 the rest of the experience was sadly not. I’ve been to other Del Friscos so this was a disappointment - they seem to still be working out their ideal service and site model. We went for a late afternoon cocktail and snack. Bar downstairs was sparsely populated. We inquired about the upstairs bar and were told it was not open, however when we left we took a visit upstairs and the bartender told us it actually was! A shame because we felt the upstairs bar had a nicer feel and view. Downstairs bar had very bright sun shine and was uncomfortable for guests and bartenders - maybe some shades are on order. Our wine / cocktail were good served in great stemware except for the water glass that still had lipstick on it. No happy hour or bar specials at all, so expect to pay $15-18 per adult beverage and $15-30 for appetizers. Service was not very friendly and we were not super comfortable. Del Friscos has a stellar reputation and sky-high prices to match, but in our case our expectations did not match our experience, especially given how other downtown steakhouses are serving locals.
The server was very attentive, he was great. We started with the Shanghai calamari- very tasteful and for drinks- 24k margarita. I really was looking towards a great dinner till we got our tasteless dry with no flavor steak, creamy way too creamy corn with no flavor and the DRY BURNT, not roasted but bitter mushroom that we did not even touch! We pretty much just had the drink and the calamari. We walked in hungry and walked out starving. I am not sure what happened to this place but definitely not going back.
Stayed at the Intercontinental next door and since I love Del Friscos in Denver I would try this one. It was early around 4. Our waiter was very nice the problem was we never saw him after our food was delivered. He was the bartender and waiter for outside. Our drinks and salad was served and the salad was good! We had traveled and hadn’t had food until then. Thought we would try the Seafood tower. It looked sparse and dry for 3 people. The oysters looked dry no juice in them. The 5 in of king crab was decent. The shrimp was rubbery and dry. By the time we saw our waiter, everything was gone except the shrimp. The mgr Brian Christman asked if he could by us a drink. We already had a drink. We were very disappointed about the shrimp and he said and I quote “I can’t uncook the shrimp.” He could have taken $50 off the bill. Then offered dessert which he made us pay for. We spent $500. and had a very bad experience with Brian. We went back the next day and talked to him again after looking at the bill and once again he offered us a drink. Go somewhere like the Fish Market where the local fishermen sell the fish. Better quality for half the price.
