beach vibe ideal for a hot san diego day drink selection is outstanding menu is fantastic excellent wings with several electric sauce selections do bring walking shoes close parking is not always readily available however overall fabulous experience
Quite possibly the best wings I have had. Very large, flavorful and juicy. A bit on the expensive side, but wings are expensive everywhere so no big deal. Good local beer selection. Good variety of signed NFL jerseys. One downfall is all the Baltimore Ravens stuff on the walls
Absolutely the best wings I have ever had. When I travel I personally hunt down wings...I have been to 100s of wing joints, and while this may be a whole in the wall eating establishment...the award banners do not lie. Definitely absolutely without a doubt the best wings in the nation. I don't live in San Diego, so when I visit Dirty Birds will be a stop every time.
Absolutely tasty chicken wings. It was spicy and full of flavours. Can't wait to go there again. Best food I ate in San Diego. We ordered 20 pieces with 4 types and Habanero Chicken Wings and they were absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed the happy hour there... I will visit this place whenever I came to San Diego for sure...
Let me tell you—these wings came out sizzling like they knew they were about to be judged. First bite? Crunchy skin with that perfect golden crisp, but still juicy underneath. No dry bird here extras saucy I went with dirty ranch and gentle bird , great flavors been coming here for over 10+ years . Lives up to the claim best wings in America
I make wings often, but there is something about the way that this wing is made, the absolute perfection and traditional wing size, their consistency, and the way that sauce is elegantly incorporated into each bite. You cannot replicate this kind of experience at home. Food 10/10, cocktails 10/10.
This is my second time here, but the first time inside. The staff was very friendly and observant with what customers needs. Their garlic parmesan fries are delicious and the tater tots were cooked to perfection. For the wings I tried the ninja sauce and it was good, but not spicy to me, tasted more of the bbq sauce than the spice. I like this place, hopefully stop by some more in the future. They have a long list of wing sauce to try.
Great wings lots of different sauces and flavors. Good bar. The place was packed. It was game day. Lots of TVs to watch and fantastic wings

Best wings I've ever had. Everytime I bring friends and family they stand by that statement. Good sports bar vibe. service was pretty average, but wings are the pure reason for the 5 stars.
Great place had soooo much fun can not wait to return . That's really all I had to say but I guess this app requires more words so now I'm done
We came here and typically i don't like a bar ambience but the food is awesome! The service was great! The wings were really good and same with all the food we ordered.

We had dinner here on our last day in San Diego. The food, service and ambiance was good. We'll definitely come back if we are back in SD.

Great wings with lots of sauce choices. Good selection of beer to choose from. Lots of other good menu choices. The staff was friendly. I’d definitely go back!

Really great wings, Hawaiian, Old Bay and Dirty Ranch are our favorites. Tuesday wings are half price all day. Great place to relax in Pacific Beach.
First time visiting. This is definitely a hit spot for younger people. I went with my coworkers on a Thursday night around 7 PM. It was packed, but we were still able to find it sitting enough for six people. We ordered about 67 different flavors of chicken wings and we were not disappointed. We also got a side of tater tots. Also very delicious. It was a bit noisy in there so for meI couldn’t wait to leave because it was just too noisy for me. But overall a wonderful experience customer service was good. The space was clean and they had lots of TVs so definitely a good spot to watch the games. I highly recommend.
The fried pickles and loaded fries were delicious! We got lemon pepper wings and some spicy garlic wings. The lemon pepper were okay, but not the best but the spicy garlic were delicious. The wings were pretty large, which I don’t prefer but for the price it was good. Service was great, and it was a laid back, clean little spot.
Stopped by Dirty Birds in PB, and it was just what we needed! The vibe is super laid back, and our bartender was the sweetest—she made us feel right at home. We tried their famous chicken wings since they’re advertised as the best around. Don’t get me wrong, they were delicious with a nice range of flavors, but I’m not sure I’d call them award-worthy. Still, I’d definitely come back for the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Great spot to unwind!
Combos. Some good things just seem a little better when paired with another good thing. For some, two good things paired together are “wings and things.” Well if you’ve always wanted to pair a San Diego beach as your “thing” with some tasty wings, then we have a recommendation for you. While other “Dirty Birds” locations do exist, the one in the Pacific Beach neighborhood is the “OG” where it all began and it is literally a mere two short blocks from the ocean. As you enter you may notice the 12 “wing championship banners” that are proudly displayed because they’ve hung more championship banners than the San Diego Padres. (Oh, wait. Maybe that’s because the Pads have never actually won a championship…like…ever. 🤦♂️) Their hotness spectrum is comprehensive and clearly communicated (to prevent the accidental incineration of unsuspecting tastebuds). While I’m more of a traditional wings kinda guy, I have to admit that their boneless wings gave their bone in counterparts a run for their money. Speaking of 💵, they offer “Happy Hour” 1/2 priced wings Monday-Friday (3-6 p.m.). Expect searching for a parking spot to be an adventure, but quit your whining since you’ll be at the beach (so no one will feel like offering you sympathy anyway). And that’s…Henry’s Take. #wingsandthings #sdbeachesandwings

I love wings and this is by far the best wings and sauce I had in San Diego. Location is small but fun, service is a little slow cause they are low staffed but will definitely be back.
This place went downhill fast. What once was a go-to spot for great wings with unique, homemade sauces turned into rubbery, over-sauced chicken in some not-so-sanitary conditions and less than impr…
Wings were tasty but they charge 75 cents for each dipping sauce and the ranch and blue cheese both had that nasty film on top that screams "I've been sitting out" and the carrots come out white an…
wings really good ambien was fine, tvs a bit too loud, service was friendly. we ordered boneless buffalo and garlic wings, french fries are really good too.
I ordered boneless wings to go and was surprised to find fried, dry chunks of white meat chicken in my order. They had absolutely no flavor. Very disappointing.

This is my favorite dirty birds location however my husband and I were beyond disappointed tonight when we drove 30 mins from home all for them to tell us the kitchen closed at 10 pm. They were aware that the hours on google haven’t updated and didn’t care to apologize nor at-least tell us they would fix that. I thought this was a popular food joint and not a bar that stays open for ONE hour additional to just drink and not enjoy any of their popular wings. That doesn’t make any sense. Lately it seems the servers are more attentive people sitting at the bar. Huge bummer that locals can drink for after hours however, kitchen is closed. That would make more sense if the bar stayed open till 1:30 am. Please do your customers a favor and at least lock your door and update kitchen hours. When the owner is present everything is on point though, I’ll say that. Who knows maybe they do close at 11 pm on Saturday nights and they just wanted to close early.
$135 for four meals ( super nachos x2 and hot wings x2). Overpriced for what is offered. Also the nacho cheese is extremely spicey though it doesn't mention that on the menu. The two individuals who…
We were disappointed with the menu which may be covid related. Short staffed, limited beer selection produced a just okay experience. Good memory of a rockin good time.
I had a take out order, so I can't speak for the service much. The wings themselves were NOT good. I am very surprised they are rated so high in the nation. We ordered 3 different sauces, they all tasted similar to one another. None stood out to us. The wings seemed GMO. They were huge and meaty which give off the impression that they are GMO instead of being organic, which made the size of them lack texture and crisp.
Ate here recently. Was the only table with non white people and waitress/bartender hardly paid attention to us but was super friendly and chatting with the other people there. Had to wait a long time to get our menus and order taken when it wasn’t very busy. Only got checked on once and she didn’t offer to refill our drinks or anything. Maybe order to go if you’re not white :/ wings were good though
I’ve been coming to dirty birds for over 15 years at least once every two weeks I get the same order every time five lemon pepper wings all flats with a blue moon. Recently, I noticed the staff has been acting differen5 Than before, Specifically, a man With dark hair and a beard. Meghan is still on her game. Where is Karan? We were Repeatedly for over an hour. This typically isn’t how things happen at the DB and there was no one else in the bar. It was not busy at all. It was 1:30 PM on Tuesday 10/14/25 and there were less than six people in the establishment. I brought my Dog Walker who has never been there and when we were leaving, she said those people treated us terribly and despite how she looks, she’s got six times more money than I do so I don’t know what’s going on Anymore.
Great wings but their happy hour deal is just not what it used to be and they charge a 4% inflation fee on your check. At that point just add it to the menu prices if you already have it printed and laminated…
We were so excited to enjoy some amazing wings at happy hour prices. And yes—the wings were amazing! However, the happy hour pricing was not what we expected. The advertised happy hour deal was misleading, especially for a Monday. It felt very deceptive, and it definitely put a damper on our experience. Just be aware that what they promote might not match what you’re charged
Worst $70 I've ever spent on food.\nburger bun was soggy, couldn't even hold the chicken sandwich, they add no sauce or napkin inside the to go back, terrible spot
