Walked in on the last Sunday of 2025 around 12:30pmish, the place was semi busy as always, but the bar had 3 spots left that the host said were open for walk up. So I sat down and reviewed the menu. They are having a holiday oasis until the 4th, I ordered drinks and food up until about 2:30pm. By that time the farmers market outside had ended and everyone had flowed into the restaurant, cause it hard for the staff to keep up with all the orders flowing in, but they handled it perfectly. I had the nutcracker's relief and Under the mistletoe for my cocktails, with coffee and water for non-alcoholic drinks. Nutcracker's relief is a pistachio liqueur forward sweet refreshing drink, while Under the mistletoe is a gin based forward drink. I also had the fancy loco moco for breakfast. Boyfriend got 2 glasses of Mimosa.

We finallv got to try the InsideOUT restaurant in Hillcrest. What a fun experience! The decorations are so festive. The food is delicious and service/staff is/are awesome (and it even "snowed")! From the Brunch menu, we had the Chilaquiles, Loco Moco and Croissant breakfast sandwich. The Mexican Hot Chocolate with cookies and the Sugar Plum Spitzer were all delicious!! We will definitely be going back! Thank you, Grant, for taking such great care of us!

Spectacular show, but also great food. Everyone welcomed us in to the Christmas extravaganza, decorated over the top, it snowed! 😄 Adored our waiter, Grant. With all that ambiance, we thought perhaps that was what we were "paying for", but the food was delicious, too. We got the charcuterie, chips & dips, and garlic bread. Yummy! Then the Asian Pear & Bitter Greens and Butternut Squash Bisque soup. Followed by the Australian Hot Stone (Filet Minon) with sides of herbed crispy baby red potatoes, roasted seasonal veggies, and Ragu Bolognese. Drank an Under the Mistletoe and Sugarplum Spritz. All superb. Go for the food and enjoy the ambiance.

Insideout is an absolute gem! The vibe is amazing, the food and drinks are top-notch, and the music keeps the whole place lively. Their Christmas experience is simply magical — the perfect spot to celebrate the season!

We lived the deco for Christmas even though we sat kind of off to the side. Christian was an amazing server. We got the filet mignon and cooked it ourselves table top. The hot chocolate desert was not that great especially for the price. But over all it was a fun experience. Recommend sitting inthe cocktail garden to enjoy the view.

I have been to Inside Out twice now and it was incredible on both occasions. The food and drinks are delightful and delicious. We were there for breakfast and they were able to accommodate a special request for my friend who does not eat pork. The service is top tier...and the ambiance is straight out if a fairytale! My first visit was in the springtime, so I had to return to see what had changed for Fall and they dud not disappoint. This place has such a fun vibe, great for ladies brunches, a date, or special occasion celebration.

The seared sea bass was absolute perfection: buttery, flaky, and resting on a silky sauce that brought everything together beautifully. The service was warm and attentive, and the outdoor garden seating made the whole evening feel enchanted. ✨ Whether you’re on a romantic date, celebrating with friends, or just treating yourself, insideOUT is an experience — not just a meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful hidden gem in Hillcrest, and by hidden gym, I mean they have a whole garden inside. It’s beautiful. It’s very tranquil. The staff is very friendly and prompt, which is amazing. I ordered salmon and garlic bread. By far the best salmon ever I wish I had a bigger stomach to fit the whole thing. Also had something off their nonalcoholic menu, which was amazing. Definitely coming back and if your local San Diego again, definitely worth checking out

Fun atmosphere which changes seasonally. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Good music at an appropriate level to allow for conversations. For was good and I liked the cheesecake, sweet potato, and homemade chips. Arrive early and enjoy the ambiance in the outdoor garden.

I dislike giving 5-stars across the board because it feels disingenuous, but IO full out earns it! Atmosphere was phenomenal! Even though we couldn't sit in Wonderland because it was raining, we were still able to walk around in the courtyard and take photos. And it was so beautiful and magical. Mezcal prawns were delish as a starter. Swordfish: superb. Braised Short Rib: fall apart fork tender! If you're on the fence, make the reservation! It's completely worth it for the atmosphere alone. The food and drinks being amazing is a bonus get.

Saw several tiktoks of this place and it seemed very whimsical. The entrance has a separate aesthetic, very nice and clean. The main location is smaller than I thought but it was still very nice in person. (Brunch) Now the food . I got what was kind of a club sandwich with strawberry preserves on the side. I didn’t have high expectations but the strawberry preserves had such a great flavor in combination with the sandwich . If you do choose to visit I’d recommend asking for seating in the main section to enjoy the atmosphere. I would say the only weird parts were the bathroom. It is gender neutral so just be ready for that

Inside OUT was beautifully decorated for Christmas with an amazing atmosphere. The vibes were great — honestly, you wouldn’t even notice whether you’re inside or outside. They even had fake snow coming down, which made it feel extra festive and fun. The food was good, and the overall experience made it a must-visit spot during vacation. It also looks like they decorate the restaurant according to the season, which is a really nice touch. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Best Holiday displays year round. Even without special decor the ambiance here is beautiful. The food is consistently good. The drinks are inflated prices, but the selection of good wine and liquor is solid. The service is always amazing. The filet served on a hot stone is an experience worth trying and is good. The bolegnese could be served either with more sauce or less noodles. The red potatoes could use a little salt but one can add those to taste. I love that they've continued to have octopus on the menu too. I am a repeat customer and definitely recommend.

This place is so beautiful, So many different seating areas with a different view and vibe, they have a beautiful waterfall by the bar area that makes the space aesthetically pleasing. The food was good I got to try from my friends plates as I couldn’t order because they close the kitchen by 3pm, one unpleasant experience was not being told and the waitress still taking my order only to not bring it and not let me know until I asked. otherwise the overall experience would’ve been distasteful if I wasn’t around my group if friends who already had food.

The food was really just okay, the chicken and waffles were pretty standard. The apple crisp dessert was pretty neat having both hot and cold parts to it. The other dishes were okay. Parking will be pretty difficult, especially since there's major construction going on where they've already demolished an entire street. Sitting on the upper area feels different than the lower area. The decorations are sorta out of the way at the top and not really viewable. Also at the top theres small studios where people are working or living, which was weird. I dislike how they have a separate lunch and dinner menu. The lunch menu doesn't have much.
