This review is overdue. But I can say now, with certainty, this is 5 star food! I have probably had the salmon and rice 20 times! It is so good I rarely deviate. But the food is the same every time...which is amazing! I have had the 1/2 chicken as well. Always great. This kind of consistent quality is hard to find. Everything is fresh. The Pita bread is soft and delicious. Even the salad with feta, olives, cucumber, and tomato is always great. Most side salads are bland rabbit food. I eat this salad, every time. I love this place! Thanks for feeding me, and always being reliable.

I don't usually take time out of my day to write reviews but this spot truly deserves it. Ever since I ate here last week, I literally cannot stop thinking about how delicious my meal was even though it was so simple. I ordered the charbroiled chicken platter with roasted potatoes paired with a side salad and OMG the flavors of every component was truly divine, Id genuinely be so honored to eat this everyday for the rest of my life. If anyone can share a recipe I'd praise you for life. 🙏🏼

This was a vibe. It gave you Mediterranean small cottage vibes on a sunny day. I ordered the patty melt. My gawd!!! Delicious is not the best adjective, mouthwatering is better. That reminds of the chicken skewers… they were orgasmic with each bite. In the neighborhood make sure to check this place out.

This is our go to take out Greek spot! It’s so delicious and we have been many times. They always have orders out quickly and on time. My husband says it’s the best gyro he’s ever had and the beef/chicken combo plate is the perfect meal!

What can I say that every other five-star review hasn't already said over and over? Well let me try: Donna and Nick and their team have created one of San Diego's most incredibly wonderful, affordable, cozy, romantic cafes that you will ever eat in. I just did it again and I took my leftovers home and just finished the most incredible second day leftover dinner. Thank you Donna. Thank you Olympic Cafe. You just messed up my diet and delighted my palate. You go girl!

We were visiting in town and of course this place has been on our to go list. Where to begin the food is amazing, flavorful, good portions, great service and our server was so kind. We got the beef kabob plate and chicken/sausage plate both plates amazing. The rice, salads, dessert. 10 out of ten.

Olympic Cafe offers an exquisite Mediterranean experience. The beef kebabs were especially well seasoned and the chicken was tender and delicious. The salad was fresh and the dressing complemented the rice and protein combo really well. The meat was freshly off the grill and my friend and I really enjoyed being able to talk and catch up over this delicious meal. David, our server, was such an a great curator of the experience and he really offered a level of service that inspires us to come back. First off.. AMAZING 🤩 food, service, all of it! The half chicken with lemon gravy 👌 insanely delicious. Spicy feta.. also crazy good. I don't know why I've never been here before. Super cute atmosphere. I will be back.

I absolutely love this place. The restaurant itself looks small from the outside, but has plenty of seating both indoor and “outdoor.” It never disappoints and you get great portions. Service is always wonderful as well. Only difficult part if trying to find parking at certain times, but if you’re lucky they have a few spots in the lot right in front of the restaurant. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. Definitely give this place a try! Food review: Gyro & kabob plate: (5/5) this is my favorite. It’s super filling and enough for two meals. The meat is always so tender, juicy, and flavorful. Lentil soup: (5/5) So good! It’s very simple, but delicious. Gyro sandwich: (5/5) It’s pretty big, but very flavorful! Baklavas: (5/5) OMG. So damn good. They’re flaky and delicious!

Everything about this place is top-notch. We went and split a few things, and it was so good we went back a week later to try more things! The server (same server both times) remembered us and was able to provide friendly recommendations and gave good advice. The atmosphere is inspired without being kitschy, making me forget that I was next to the parking lot on busy University Ave. Most importantly, the food is fantastic! The meats taste like they've been simmering, stewing for hours - so tender and rich. The veggies are fresh and flavorful and the hummus is smooth. Both times we left with baklava and plenty of leftovers.

Probably after what I’m going to say, you will get it. We came here since they opened and we keep coming back and also ordering delivery. Food is fresh, fast, flavorful. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. Honestly, it was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had. The only downside was finding a fly in my overly sweetened Greek coffee, which was truly disgusting. While I understand accidents can happen, the response was underwhelming—a brief, almost dismissive “sorry” with no effort to make it right. Had they handled the situation better, I would have happily given them a 5-star review, but the lack of care left me disappointed after such an otherwise wonderful dining experience.
