Tip: Enjoy the dog-friendly patio with a special pup menu. The Mai Tai and Apple Cider Old Fashioned drinks are surprisingly good.

We are visiting family in San Diego, California and for dinner decided to try Pacific Catch located at the UTC Mall. The restaurant is very clean, bright, welcoming, and modern. As a starter, we shared the coconut shrimp. I ordered a sea bass dish with mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a blood orange lemonade. All of our dishes/orders were good. Our server Colton was very helpful, when deciding what to order. He made suggestions to compliment my sea bass, and I am satisfied with the choices I selected. Colton was very patient and helpful.
Our server Olivia and General Manager Debbie were outstanding!!! And the food was excellent!!We ordered the coconut shrimp and Sticky Ribs for appetizers, along with the Fish & Chips and Seafood Combo for main courses which came with slaw and salads. The photo shows what was left…great experience and delicious food. Highly recommend!!!
A great place for seafood! I’m a vegetarian whereas my partner isn’t and still this had tons of options for me too! Food : My partner ordered tacos and I ordered eggplant and both were delicious. The seafood was overall quite fresh Service : It was great just a bit slow. There were only four parties which were there and two servers yet it took forever for someone to come and help. Nevertheless sweet staff Atmosphere: The decor inside and outside patio is really nice. In summers not my favourite to sit outside as it’s too hot 🥵
One of my favorite restaurants in UTC. As always, food made fresh to order and delicious. Highly recommend this place. We had mix catch and the Korean bbq bowl
The Japanese Wasabi Bowl is delicious!! I subbed the Ahi Tuna for salmon and didn't expect it to be grilled, but it was amazing regardless 😋 Our cutlery was also dirty at the start with old food, but staff quickly replaced these with much cleaner utensils. Great service 😊
Amazing staff, this was my first time here and definitely not the last one. I tried ceviche which was tasty and creamy, looks like you put shrimp on a bed of guacamole, and shrimp taco, It was delicious.
We love this place! They've changed the menu somewhat recently. I love the broccolini. They've slimmed up the menu but that's probably good, it used to be a bit overwhelming. I like getting the fresh catch, where you pick a fish, a sauce, and two sides. I've never been disappointed with the options for that. They have a very dog friendly patio and recently they added a dog menu. I appreciated that they have salmon on the dog menu since it's a fish place, it also breaks the monotony of "hamburger or chicken" for our furry friends. We come here pretty regularly and it's for a good reason. The food and service are always top notch!

This spot consistently serves incredibly fresh, delicious fish and pairs it with top-notch service. Our server, Andrew, went above and beyond to make the experience truly enjoyable.
*Dog friendly -- a separate patio and pup menu!** The food and atmosphere are wonderful-- patio is well shaded and service top notch
Delicious seafood lunch at Pacific Catch! We ordered a lot, the mixed seafood grill (kanpachi, salmon, shrimp), striped sea bass with crab mash potatoes, salmon sushi tacos, ahi tuna Chirashi, spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, and Korean barbecue. Everything tasted great! The service was excellent, food and refills coming out quick. We sat on the dog friendly patio, and for large parties you need to make a reservation by phone which the staff made it super easy to do. There are also changing tables in the bathrooms. Definitely recommend!
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Came here for lunch and ordered the Salmon with sesame green beans and sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the Kanpachi with brussels and kimchi fried rice. It was incredible! The freshest tasting fish. Portions were very generous, and the service was fantastic! New favorite spot!
Across our hotel was this outdoor mall / restaurant Pacific Catch. My fam’ ate here two dinners in a row. Between those two nights, we got a variety of dishes (we liked all our dishes). Sorry - no pictures of food because it has our faces too lol. Staff were really great; prompt, helpful, and not weird. If you have a stroller, I recommend sitting outside in the patio (more spacious).
Had a fantastic experience here! We were seated immediately, and our food arrived surprisingly fast without feeling rushed. Sashimi Salad: The fish was tender, and you could tell the other ingredients were super fresh. Fish Tacos: Perfectly cooked, tender fish paired with a really flavorful sauce that tied everything together. Atmosphere: The restaurant was noticeably clean, which is always a plus for a seafood spot. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout. I'll be back!
I went to Pacific Catch at UTC La Jolla with my best friend, and we honestly had the best time. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was relaxed, fun, and perfect for catching up over amazing food and drinks. We ordered several dishes to share, and every single one hit. My personal favorite was the clam chowder—so flavorful and packed with actual clams (which I loved). The ceviche was fresh and bright, and the poke was perfectly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth good. The kimchi fried rice deserves its own shout-out because it was absolutely excellent—savory, comforting, and full of flavor. And the drinks? So good. We tried a few margaritas, but hands down my favorite was the lychee drink—refreshing, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to sip. Overall, great food, great drinks, and even better company. Pacific Catch is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to, whether it’s for a fun night out with friends or just a solid meal I know will deliver. Can't wait to go back!

Great location, reasonably good food at a good price for a sit down restaurant in an upscale mall. Wish they served local catches (as the name might allude, although I guess "Pacific" is a big area), but they serve mostly imported fish. Cooked reasonably well. Large menu of non-seafood options for broad appeal. If you're hungry and walking by, with checking out!
Normally don’t do reviews, but really good seafood. Best fried calamari I’ve ever had. All of our plates were very good; miso black cod, fish and chips, Hawaiian plate and cheeseburger. Sauces were also very good.
Tried this place for the 1st time for lunch and dang, it was good! The lunch special Chilean fish tacos were very fresh, not fishy in any way, light, solid, tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned and add a little hot sauce for spicy and simply melt in your mouth as is dances across your taste buds -perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised. The black beans were good to. My friend enjoyed the lunch Salmon plate, the fish was also very good, not very fatty or greasy, perfectly cooked, tender and easily flaked apart, they provided 2 sauces to try (sorry, forgot which, 1 was green and amazing the other brown and good), with blanched asparagus. Staff were all very nice, happy, and helpful. Looking forward to going back and try other items.
Food was good and reasonably priced. The ambiance is great and the drinks are strong. My husband got the tacos and enjoyed them. Don't expect taco shop fish tacos, these are elevated and the fish is great quality. I got the luau bowl and it was a huge portion that I can split into two meals easily.
Pacific Catch is an amazing seafood restaurant that truly delivers on flavor, freshness, and value. The menu offers a variety of creative dishes that blend global inspiration with the freshest catch of the day. One dish you absolutely must try is the Mexican Grill – packed with bold flavors, grilled to perfection, and served with delicious sides. It’s a standout! The ambiance is relaxed yet vibrant, service is friendly, and parking is easily available – a big plus in this area. If you’re in the mood for fresh, flavorful seafood at a fair price, Pacific Catch is the place to go. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our meal. I took a photo after we had already dug into our food a bit. It wasn't as strong of a flavor explosion as another place we like but I really liked the colorful presentation, the fresh taste, and variety in each dish we had. And I think the food here tasted better than some other 4 stars out there! The kids meal was a decently sized portion (forgot to take a picture), their shrimp was overcooked though and just the slightest bit charred in a few places which they didn't like. My shrimp was perfect though. The salmon chowder was also tasty
Casual dining with a dog friendly patio and a dog menu. The mai tai and apple cider old fashioned surprised me with how good they were! I really enjoyed the kbbq rib appetizer, and the chili lime fries were great! The cheeseburger was a solid 4/5, not astounding, but that's what I expect as someone who doesn't like seafood at a seafood restaurant. They also only have jalapeño tartar sauce, which my husband was not fond of, to go with the fish and chips, which my husband WAS fond of. Another thing was that it took me two times besides my original order to get the side I wanted for my burger, but it was given to me to go for free at the end so it wasn't that bad. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Stopped by for lunch and everything we ate was delicious. The ahi three way is a big portion. Our server was great too. Would come back.
I like food here but quality is normal nothing special or memorable to make me want to come back again and again.

Service and atmosphere were fine but I would not recommend any Japanese inspired food here. The shitake miso soup was more shitake soup and if you know shitake that stuff overpowers everything else. It also arrived cold. The hand rolls were too heavy on the rice and sauce. The best part of the peach cobbler was literally the giant ice cream. The parts that were cobbler left an oddly bitter aftertaste and the fruits looked canned.

Pacific Catch was a great corner location at the mall that had pretty decent food. However, major deductions for the following: Bar had no blender and couldn’t make mixed drinks. My seat was constantly jostled by the person behind me because they were properly to the ground. Service was atrocious. Alex, our server failed to give us napkins/utensils, didn’t give my spouse her drink she ordered and she rarely checked on us and was delayed with our check. Would not return.
