The Phoʻ here is like god send compared to most other places. Sips of heaven after a night of drinking.... Even the wife said this is the best place so far. Open at 9am. The lean brisket and the rare steak and fatty brisket #10 was spot on. When you see viets eating here is also a good sign! Thank you!

They all spoke a different language but tried their best to listen and order what you wanted and the food gave the taste if I ever do taste how Korean noodles would taste they had the looks and taste if you want something from a different cultural then this would be it , it was delicious.

Their rice is so fluffy no like other places. All the other dishes we have eaten had been very tasty. Hard to find parking but worth a visit every time.

I went to Pho Van with some friends that said this is their favorite Pho place in their area of San Diego. They were not wrong, the Pho was delicious. It had a great taste and they included a lot of meat in the Pho. We tried the pork egg roll and pork spring rolls , which they were great. The food came out quickly and the staff is friendly! Overall great experience!

I was getting tired of eating chicken pho and chicken plates with rice (because I eat them often) so I ventured out to some of their steak options. Loved the cooked steak pho and the steak rice plate combos. They have rear parking. They have bathrooms inside. They have a good thai tea. They also have a salty preserved lemonade which is mild I like mine strong.

Food was great,my favorite spot for Pho now,spring rolls are quite large and delicious. Parking is some what difficult, depending on time of day. Will definitely be back every time I'm craving Pho.

Tried Pho #6 and the beef sandwich, both were very good. Customer service was efficient and nothing more. Parking is a bit of an issue, there's a "parking lot at rear" but only fits about 5-6 cars. Would go back.

I've driven past Pho Van's neon light sign quite a few times when venturing into City Heights for Vietnamese food, but have never eaten there until now. It's easy to miss the sign on the side of the restaurant, advising of Parking In The Rear, as you drive past the alley right before the restaurant. There are also lots of street parking all around if you miss the rear parking lot. The restaurant was pretty much full house, with 2 small tables available when we went for lunch. The ladies are quickly dotting around the restaurant to take orders, run food and clear tables. They are very helpful with any questions or requests you may have. The man working seemed a bit confused the whole time he was trying to help out the whole time we were there for lunch. As it was a cold day, my partner and I were craving noodle soup, but something other than Pho. There is a nice selection of other noodle soups offered, aside from Pho here. I ordered Hu Tieu My Tho (#86) with Shrimp, Pork, Fishballs & Imitation Crab. It usually comes with glass noodles, but changed it to the wide flat rice noodles. My partner ordered the Bo Kho (#62) which is the beef stew with wide flat rice noodles. Service was good, except for an odd situation with the confused male worker that I mentioned. He brought over the Bo Kho my partner order, however it had skinny rice noodles and not the wide flat rice noodles ordered. He then told us that they made a mistake and put skinny noodles and asked if we were okay with that. We looked at him with confusion, not knowing how to respond, as we've never been asked if we would be okay with a mistake that the restaurant makes. Before we were able to tell him that we want what we ordered, one of the ladies yelled to him that it was for a different table and he just picked it back up and gave it to the the correct customer. As the "mistake" was resolved on its own, I didn't hold this against them for my review. Now, if it wasn't for someone else and he expected us to tell him if we'd be okay with their mistake, then I would have had an issue with their service. Usually when we order Pho, it comes out really quickly, but these noodle soup dishes took a lot longer than usual, but that's okay. The large size was indeed large and we couldn't finish our bowls. They sure don't skimp at this restaurant and are very generous with the proteins and offerings that accompany the noodle soups! Large at many other restaurants are about the same as the small size here. Both dishes were good and we got our hot noodle soup fix for sure! I will definitely be back for more meals in the near future and will have to try their Pho next time!

Overall the food, service, and atmosphere of this place was extremely enjoyable. The appetizers were delicious and I was unable to capture the Pho because as soon as it came out my party and I started chowing down. I definitely recommend this place to anyone craving Vietnamese food, Thai tea with boba was made well and you can never go wrong with spring rolls. The waitress was fast, friendly and helpful and you can tell a lot of effort goes into making this place run.

My co-worker brought me to this restaurant for the first time. Bare in mind that I have lived abroad for 17 years I keep an open mind. My time away from the USA has taught me to keep an open mind (basically don’t judge a book by its cover). Much respect to the service and I almost forgot…. Don’t forget to try the ice coffee 😊

2/22/25 @ 9am. Hubby was craving pho and Vietnamese coffee. Came here for the first time. Impressive place and smell really good. Prices are reasonable. Hubby got pho and I got egg noodles wonton soup. Looks good but missed the mark on flavors. My wonton filling is not good at all. Ground to fine and not mixed with shrimp making it a funky texture. Only good is the egg noodles. Broth completely missed the flavor. Hubby normally finished the whole bowl of pho including the broth. He only ate half as the pho broth tasted watered down. Not sure if other dishes are any good for us to come back.
