The fish are fresh; I don't recall there are many poke bowl places on mira mesa. So this one would be a good choice to people who live and work around that area. Another reminder to check in on yelp to get a free miso soup :)

Fresh ingredients and generous portions.

I’d go as far as to say best Poke in San Diego. The service was the friendliest I have received, they LOADED the bowl to the brim, the ingredients are delicious and they even offer mango. What more could you want.

Pokeland is my regular go-to restaurant. Their Big Island bowl keeps me coming back week after week! The moment I step inside, I'm always greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance. The staff makes me feel like a valued customer. The Big Island bowl is a true masterpiece with a burst of flavours that focuses mainly on fish. The freshness of the ingredients is restaurant's top-notch. The marinated tuna is tender, and the accompanying avocado, cucumber, and seaweed salad complement it perfectly. I particularly love the kick of spicy mayo. If you're a poke lover like me, Pokeland is an absolute must-try.

summary: good food, great service, reasonable prices, good portions, support local businesses! decided to come here on a whim with some friends as a post finals mini adventure and boy did we make the right choice there was not a customer in sight but we made our way to the ordering counter and were met with the most personable server we’ve ever had at a poke place, or any restaurant for that matter! he was so nice, offering samples (which i’ve never experienced at a poke place) and suggestions, and would throw in some fun comments to our choices (often apologizing for talking too much but no worries at all😆) onto the food, they have a few unique poke marinades here! the standouts for us were the sichuan peppercorn tuna- it was almost candied with an interesting texture, kinda like a gummy or beef tendon in the best possible way- as well as the spicy kimchi salmon and scallops! the coconut curry poke has potential, but it’s not quite there yet (maybe try searing the fish and adding ginger or something acidic/spicy?) he also really loaded up our bowls, even giving my friend an extra scoop of salmon because he thought “it didn’t look large enough” even tho he definitely gave the right amount of protein. all the toppings were included in the base price (good value for any amount of scoops) including avocado and imitation crab which usually costs extra at other places. we had such a nice experience thanks to the server and the food was delicious- this is our new go to! thanks so much and wish all the best to this place

It is my first actual experience for building my own poke bowel 🙈and luckily it was at @pokelandsd, i loved how generous they are and the combination of all the ingredients that they choose is at its perfection. I wish i had a strong stomach to have all these 4 bowels for me only 😋

Their prices are great ($8.99 for a small bowl, which is the same size as a large, but you get 2 scoops of fish.) The staff are all very nice and welcoming, and you get a lot of options to really customize your poke bowl. They also have FiveStars which means you get rewards for coming here to eat! FiveStar points can be used to redeem a fountain drink, a macaron, a miso soup, free poke bowls, and more! The little shopping area around Pokeland has grown a lot too, and there's plenty of places to shop around after you eat, Ding Tea boba is a 30 second walk away and I'll usually get boba to go with my poke bowl. Definitely one of my recommended places to eat in San Diego!

I have ordered from here several times since quarantine started. Portions tend to vary each time I order a large bowl. Do not pay extra for avocado. Fish could be fresher, but still very tasty.

Had the large bowl. 2 tuna 1 ea salmon, albacore and octopus. Half half white and brown. They are generous with the scoops of just about everything. I’ll go back, was pleased with service and food.

Unlike some poke places I have been to, this spot offers stuff I haven't seen like spicy crab salad and seared tuna. They also have a large selection of sauces and crispy toppings. Avocado is extra. They also sell ice cream macarons. Overall, I feel you get a decent amount of fish per scoop.

Quantity over quality. The price is great for the volume of food you receive. However, the flavor of the fish is strongly masked by the sauce which is used to give off a strong flavor.

Third time we've order bowls through Postmates and they've left out 1 of 2 bowls. I've been trying to call the store repeatedly for the last 20 minutes and no one picks up. The food here is really good, but that kind of repeat poor service for delivery isn't favorable.

I would say compare to other Poke place I have been this place is kinda stingy with their portions😕. I got a large bowl but it could easily be a small at other Poke places... that’s why 3 stars because I’m still hungry 🙈... flavor wise it’s very delicious and fresh 👍🏻

The food is just ok. They have seared ahí tuna which most other poke places don't have. But their sauce are a bit on the weak side and not as good as poke 1/2. Their fish are decent quality and price is similar to poke 1/2, and with that similarity I would recommend poke 1/2 more than this place

Poke is pretty standard. Not bad at all but also nothing special. The main reason for 2 stars is that they have forgotten something in my online order two times now. First it was avocado, then spicy tuna.

Fish is fresh and the imitation crab was really good. What I didn't like was the rice had way too much vinegar in it. I didn't really like their sauce selection. It was fine eating here until I saw one of the employees took OFF her mask to sneeze 🙃 She faced away from the food, but still...

I could barely eat from the bowl. The salmon tasted foul. Not sure if they seared it a little or why it would taste like that! When i eat a good quality raw salmon. It tastes completely different. I think it’s just poor quality food. Good place if you want to save money on seafood Some of the tuna was chewy. I completely lost my appetite as i started eating. Maybe it’s just the whole poke combination that’s not very good. Rice was warm tasted ok. The veggies didn’t look fresh. The service was ok, but would probably never eat poke again!

I ordered poke because I wanted to eat fish, but the main ingredient fish was not in the bowl!! They keep messing with the take put orders! Horrible service, I don’t think m coming back here again.

This pokeland mira mesa disrespectful, ignored delivery driver, I delivered a lot of food during pandemic, after pandemic this pokeland don't respect delivery driver, order pickup 6.05, the employee said couple minutes wait till 6.30 the order (wait super long time) after wait 30 minutes and still they don't want to make it, they priorities the walk in guess. You should said it, the first time driver walk in, not wait so long and said that. Better you don't have online order, we delivery driver make money for you Bad bad bad business, bad service Never ever again go to pokeland, banned for life!

Unsure if they're having refrigeration problems or quality control issues. Ordered delivery through postmates. The shrimp was smelly and chewy (old), the spicy tuna was a warm mush, at the bottom of the bowl was a giant ball of wasabi for some reason, and they gave me a bottle of warm coke. Terrible experience that literally made me sick.

Paid extra for masago and a scoop for the guy in glasses to smush my hole bowl with lid dropping half of the fish and masago to just then stare at me and laugh. Didnt replace what he dropped even though I paid extra for it. And he had attitude when I asked for a little bit of jalapeño and he put a lot then had to put it back. He makes the place not worthy of coming back
