We ordered the garlic chili pork chop with rice, hainan chicken, and roasted Cornish hen with fried rice. The food was delicious as usual. One of our go to spots in the area.
Really love this style of Vietnamese Chinese food. Got delivery from here and everything was great. The congee and Singaporean mee especially. The chicken broth on the wonton soup noodle was a bit too salty for me.
I had a craving for Pho but most places were closed so I ended up here after searching for pho open near me. Even though it was close to closing time for them as well, the host welcomed us graciously and sat us in the cozy dining area. I didn’t see pho on the menu but I told the waiter that’s what I came in for so he pointed out a beef noodle soup that was different but still satisfied my craving just right! I’m so glad I discovered the spot and plan to come back next time I’m looking for some comforting noodles!
I've been here a few times now and the noodles were great each time. I also really like the beer selection! If you are a beer nerd, you'll see some taps that you won't see anywhere else. I was happily surprised!
LHK has remodeled and offers a bar. The service is efficient and portions generous. They now offer Monday- Friday lunch specials. The noodle soups are a highlight. The pork chop lunch special is fried so wouldn’t recommend for folks avoiding fried foods. It’s in a strip mall with other eateries and an Asian grocery store.
I'm a regular here and would like to come every week if I can. It's rare to find a legit authentic egg noodle restaurant in SD. I usually order the Seafood egg noodles or Roasted chicken egg noodles. I have tried the House fried rice (also delicious), Wonton noodle soup, egg rolls and more. The broth is rich, flavorful and piping hot, the egg noodles are nice and crunchy, and price is reasonable. Take-out orders for busy nights are a must! The service is quick and noise level is average but not loud. Parking is never an issue. Support your local businesses!!
I dropped by this family run business to grab the fried rice, grilled pork roll (2 rolls per order), and noodles with fried chicken to go. The portions were nice and filling and broth for the noodles was amazingly flavorful. The fried rice also has this sort of Smokey BBQ taste to it that sets it apart from fried rice elsewhere. It took a little longer than expected to grab my online order but I didn’t mind waiting since I could see they were trying their hardest to make things work with their skeleton crew due to the pandemic. The owner or manager, Michelle, was apologetic for the delay and I will certainly be coming back soon.
Food is fantastic. Amazing beer selection.
This place exceeded our expectations! A group of us went in there and had wonton noodle soup, duck herbal noodle soup, and a rice with roast pork dish - we were all IMPRESSED with the quality of the food! Usually, strip mall restaurants are so-so, so we were all surprised. The duck meat was fried to perfection before soaked in the herbal soup, which was very flavorful. The noodles were Hongkong style curly thin noodles, classic wanton noodles- texture and flavor on point. We love the vinegary green chilies on the condiment tray - crisp and just right spicy. We also tried a small plate of raw papaya with green chilly peppers - not sure if that was complimentary or did it come with one of the dishes. It was refreshing and delicious. The price was in between a standard pho place and a higher end restaurant ($13/ bowl) but the portion reflects accordingly- the big guys finished their bowls while the ladies in the group with the same orders have left overs to take home. We were happy with the pleasant and friendly service. The place looks clean. The only thing if we wish they had was a lunch menu as prices was pretty steep for a big family to come in.
My absolute favorite place in Mira Mesa for Vietnamese/Cantonese comfort food. Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Surprisingly, this small Asian restaurant situated in a Mira Mesa strip mall has the best craft beer selection in all of San Diego! Definitely worth checking out.
Beautiful atmosphere. Clean and inviting. Service was topnotch. Fast and friendly. Food was amazing. Definitely will be back.
The food is consistently great and they always have one of the best, if not the best, tap list of craft beer in San Diego A go-to spot. If you know, you know.
Good, authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Good portions for the price. Friendly staff willing to answer questions that those less familiar with Vietnamese dishes may have. Ample parking and not too crowded for the Mira Mesa area. Seating accommodates couples to family or groups alike. Recommended.
This place was exceptional. My husband and I went to San Diego for an event called San Diego swap meet and we were very tired. We didn’t know what to eat and on Google the first thing or option that popped on my phone with this and I am so glad that I was able to choose this place because the service was great from the start. We did come with our dog And they were so kind to give us a seat inside and they did have us closer to like the entrance in like a corner, but I was just so glad that we didn’t have to be outside in the dark and they were just really great all the food was so good like if I can go back and have their food I will like I won’t make that drive to San Diego because they were just so kind to my husband myself and our small terrier dog. I did not record what we had but here are the images you can ask because they were all insanely good insanely good. There were some wings there that I guess our mix or cooked with fish some type of fish oil or something like that when they bring the dish it does smell funny where you’re like wait, no I don’t think this is gonna be good but once you try it, you change your mind completely. It’s amazing. Will definitely come again. You guys are the greatest honestly.
This place is a gem. Super delicious unique dishes that span a variety of Asian cuisine. Done very well. Service was impeccable. Very attentive and plenty of staff. They have a craft beer menu that exceeds almost any place in this area. 100% recommend.
This Vietnamese noodle shop opens at 10 AM, making it a great spot for a noodle brunch. We ordered the lamb curry noodles—the dish came out quickly, the lamb was tender and well-marinated, and the added basil was a fantastic touch
Excellent kid friendly dining experience. We came in at 5 pm and the staff were helpful with finding us a large table to sit down and entertain our kid. They recommended the chicken fried rice which was really good. Chicken was tender and my kid ate it all up. Good selection of sour beers. I really liked the beer with sour skittles infused into it. Duck noodle soup and egg rolls were excellent. 10/10 experience :)
The quail was incredibly delicious, crispy and flavorful! And the roasted duck with wide noodles was fantastic! Rich but not greasy.
Every dish at LHK is amazing! From appetizers to noodles, rice, and porridge, everything is packed with authentic flavor and made with fresh ingredients. Pair it with a craft beer for the perfect meal. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service—definitely a must-visit!
My family and I always come back to this place when we're in San Diego. It's our 3rd time here, the food portion can't be beat given the price. It's delicious too! Food: The food is really good! It's well seasoned and never too salty or too sweet. My family always ordered the egg spring roll. It's our favorite! - steamed fish fillet: my personal favorite, it's soft and melts in your mouth and so well seasoned. 5/5, hella recommend! - egg rolls: super yummy, crunchy and the sauce is sweet and evens out your taste bud! 5/5, recommend! - beef chow fun: there's large flat noodles hidden underneath the beef and vegetables. it's really delicious because the beef isn't tough, just the right amount of chewy! the noodles is sweet and salty! amazing! 5/5, recommend! - chicken chow mein: the noodles were sooo good! i kept going back for this dish and it became my comfort dish. the chicken is chewy and divine! 100/10, get this! - hainan chicken rice: i wish there was soup to go with the rice, the chicken wasn't too well seasoned, not a favorite of ours. 4/5 Atmosphere & service: I love the atmosphere, its slightly cold temperature and warm setting inside. The service is great, they're attentive and gives good recommendation when we first asked! Parking: It's in a shopping center so we never really struggled to find parking spots. There's always plenty. Overall, this place is a hidden gem. It should be busier and I hope more people discovers them! Their food and pricing is unbeatable!
Awesome family owned restaurant. Really nice owners & servers. I’m obsessed with the egg roles. They come with mint and lettuce to wrap around and it makes it taste super fresh. I also really like the gravy chow fun. They also recently remodeled and it looks super stylish now, more insta-worthy, with a more young, fun vibe. They also have awesome fire heaters outside in their patio.
Food was amazing. I loved the shrimp and pork spring roll. I was afraid the pork would be fatty, but it had no fat on it and they were amazing. I ordered the garlic chili wings extra crispy and they were delish. Had a good amount of saltiness and the slightest hint of sweet and loved the fried garlic chips on top. Wasn’t impressed with the donuts, little different than what I’m used to.
My first time. Service was great. I had the fish porridge and it was outstanding. I recommend LHK Noodle Bar
LHK noodle bar is definitely the spot to go for true comfort Asian food. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years to eat their amazing rice and noodle dishes and still always crave it. They now serve over 10 beers on tap and a huge wine selection. 🍜 LHK wonton dumpling noodle soup: egg noodles, juicy pork filling, char siu 🍗 Roasted chicken: 1/2 cornish game hen, juicy inside, flavorful skin, the BEST 🐖 Garlic pork chops: loaded with crispy garlic, crunchy on the outside, moist pork, a HUGE must 🍗 Sampler platter: perfectly battered chicken, fish and calamari with the most amazing garlic chili seasoning 🐖 Roasted pork: tender pork belly with a crispy skin 🍜 Surf n turf noodles: crunchy fried noodles with juicy shrimp and tender filet 🍚 LHK red fried rice: loaded with chicken, beef, shrimp and bbq pork You definitely can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. They even have TVs so make sure a grab a beer, relax and enjoy some true comfort food!
I love the new LHK Noodle bar! Delicious food and generous portion. It’s also a great spot to hangout, have some beers, and watch the game with friends. I would definitely come back here again. :)
Great noodles underpinned by fantastic secret family recipe broth. Everybody enjoyed their food. Also an excellent spot for a craft beer, Tracy and Ed provided excellent service and recommendations on pours.
In Mira Mesa there are plenty of Vietnamese food options. What separates LHK from the rest is A) their forward thinking in wanting to offer unique Vietnamese food options you won't find anywhere else B) an amazing bar with an assortment of craft beers and C) the best customer service you will find anywhere hands down. The owner Michelle, Justin, Ed & Tracy operate a family owned business so you can feel the pride and hard work that they put in. They do a tremendous job making you feel like you are family. Most Vietnamese places are in a hurry to rush you out to make room for the next guest. LHK on the other hand takes their time to ensure you're comfortable and satisfied. My personal favorites are the Red Fried Rice and the Roasted Pork (le chon) bun.
This was a perfect place for lunch, sat down and ate within 30-40 minutes. Food made to order and the flavor was outstanding. I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend the braised duck (pictured)

One of my favorite places to go in all of San Diego! The food is phenomenal, service is quick and so friendly, and the beer selection is second to none! Like really really insanely good beers, from craft fruity beers to rich and decadent stouts, to the best IPAs and lagers and even some seltzers and wine. The LHK special wonton and dumpling soup is my go to, but the duck noodle soups are a close second and the pork belly is the best in town, huge and crispy! I've had most of the menu and it's all amazing. I get the crispy pork spring rolls every time I'm here and usually some tofu fresh rolls too. They started doing a $1 wing special with $1 off draft beers for Thursday night. Would highly recommend!

A great place for Vietnamese-Chinese fusion food. This restaurant is very spacious and modern. They also have a bar with tons of craft beers. I got the Roasted Pork with egg noodles. You can get it with soup or dry. I prefer dry style which comes with a small side of soup. Their portions are huge. It came with a generous amount of roast pork. Good amount of both meat and fat. The skin was perfectly crispy. I would definitely come back for this dish! Service is slow because they seem understaffed. But they are very friendly here. Plenty of parking. I definitely recommend checking this spot out.
Service was A+. The waitress was very nice. I love egg noodles but I have a recommendation for the owners. The soup and be remixed to have much less MSG by increasing the quantity of Salt and Sugar. I suggest them to do so because a lot of people like me are sensitive to MSG and don't like the absolute heavy headed knock out experience afterwards of consuming too much MSG. Please take my suggestion. I think you're business can improve a lot more when the product you serve makes people feel stronger and not a lot weaker afterwards. MSG has this absolute effect of creating a lot of tension in the head and body. Please consider and I love the noodles just not the way I feel after 1 hour of consuming it.
I always get the same dish when I eat here. Wonton and dumpling soup or chicken porridge. The soup comes with pork too. Broth is light and tasty. The porridge is great on a cold day. It's very hearty with a kick of ginger. Both are not expensive either. I read other reviews that gave then 3 stars or lower. I agree their service isn't the greatest, but I haven't had a terrible experience like some have mentioned. I'm always greeted and seated. They don't often check with you after you've been served, but that can be a good or bad depending on your preference. I like to be left alone, just be attentive in case I need something. The facility isn't that nice, but it's not a fancy restaurant. It's what you should expect. They do have flat screen TVs.
Family style Cantonese, Vietnamese noodles and rice dishes. Flavorful, decent portions, decent prices, fast services. The dried yellow noodle is very satisfying if that's what you are craving for. Dumpling and wonton mix are very comforting. Chow fun is yummy. Roast chicken is very good as well.
generous portion. surprised by how meaty the roasted duck, no fat, it would be better if making it crispy skin and less salty. the noodle can be more dried. tons of meat. slightly oily.
While this place is quite casual with not much to write home about in regards to ambience, I find this place to be pretty darn solid when it comes to selection, food quality, and service. Typical asian-style silent service, but waiters are very attentive, very quick, food is hot and fresh, and they have many things on their menu that are more challenging to find in similar type restaurants . Our favorites here are the dumpling wonton soup, crispy noodles, and orange chicken. Price is hard to beat for what you get too. Great for big groups and kids too . Come here if you want a no nonsense good meal , and don't want to spend an arm and leg for it :)

Upside: Perfect tasty crunchy rolls and excellent friendly customer service. Downside: Regular dishes that I've tried so far has NO taste!! Very disappointing for the second time. My first visit I had ordered chili porkchop and mostly large bones and batter with barely taste but OIL. The second visit was shrimp with stir fry yellow noodles and it looked so pretty...until I ate.....no flavor but oil. BLAND BLAND BLAND. I give up and will not return.
The food looks good but was overcooked, and the service was slow. Despite an almost empty restaurant the floor was extremely dirty and the staff was just sitting around. Sidenote, they didn't fill up the coffee cup all the way.
Food was nothing to write home about. It isn't that bad but it's really nothing special either so I feel very meh about it. The wontons were kinda cold and the meat inside was dry. The whole restaurant was also pretty surprisingly empty for dinner service.

Ordered the Vermicelli Noodle salad with Grilled Pork. Unfortunately at least Half of the meat was Fat. NO Meat 😕😕 First time here... Won't be coming back 😕😕
Attention, please. This restaurant waiters forge my signature and added unauthorized tips. They don't let you see your bills. The owner son is aware of this situation but chooses to ignore it when he witnesses when this happened and keep quiet. Please don't bring your business here, find else where to eat. Our family been supporting this restaurant before they were renovated. We are very disappointed the way they do business. This establishment is very disrespectful and they don't even want to apologize. This is not happened once but happened several times already. The waiter forge my signature not once but several times, and added unauthorized tips, I repeat. I do not recommend this restaurant.
👎👎👎This was our first time coming back to this place since they changed ownership. Extremely disappointed with their food due to lack of quality and flavors. We ordered the house special duck herbs noodles soup and beef sate. The soup was salty and tasted very bland. We will definitely NOT comming back. My husband said we could get better food at Panda Express for less $ and more flavorful than at LHK 👎👎👎
