Stopped into Super Dumplings looking for some dumplings since I was at the center running errands. Was very surprised about the deliciousness of the place. The dumplings were quite plump and juicy. My daughter loved it all including the rice cakes. Ordered the spicy cucumbers, chili wonton, pork, shrimp, and chives dumplings, potstickers yang Zhou fried rice, and the pork rice cakes. We were also going to order the Xiao long bao but felt we already over ordered for just two. Ended up with another meal. Overall portions are a great size and everyone enjoyed the meal. Service was very quick and our food came out fresh and delicious. We enjoyed our lunch and will be back.
This is such a great addition to Carmel Valley. No need to drive to Convoy Street for great Chinese food, when Super Dumpling is right here. They have authentic Chinese food with a large menu of items. There’s an open glass kitchen where you can watch the dumplings being made all day.
This place is a vibrant Chinese dim sum restaurant celebrated for its handcrafted dumplings and wok-fired classics. We came to Super Dumpling to celebrate my mom’s birthday after she spotted it on Instagram. This restaurant is brand new, barely two months in business. Their offerings cover everything you could want from appetizers, dumplings, bao, noodles, meats, seafood, vegetables, and a whole lot more. We ordered a generous amount of food - a few appetizers, four different dumplings, two kinds of fried rice, some meat dishes, and a handful of other plates. Every single dish, and I mean everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. There wasn’t anything I disliked. The servers and staff were very friendly, polite, and attentive. The teamwork was very precise, and I was impressed on how well they worked together and helped each other out. It’s not something you see all the time. Whether you’re a dim sum fanatic or just want to have delicious Chinese food, I highly recommend Super Dumpling!
The menu is expansive and we tried multiple dishes. Some of the items were mega hits and others were mid. The black noodles were ok, not great. The flavor lacked a little depth. The dumplings were amazing. They had Xiaolongbao that had actual hot soup inside it. Other places like din tai fung have dropped in quality in regards to their XLB, but this place had theirs at a nice hot temperature. The shrimp and pork dumplings were juicy and tender. Finally, the total cost of the dinner came out under the total I was expecting. The service during our dining experience was friendly and fast.
Y’all, I’m almost afraid to say this because I don’t want this tasty place have huge lines to wait in the next time I go. But this place is awesome. It’s so good. The dim sum is delicious and it’s not overpriced. The staff are friendly. The flavors are great. The pork and shrimp wontons, I mean, I’m still thinking about them hours later. Go try this place, but maybe consider takeout so I can still get a table…
The atmosphere was pleasant and the food didn’t disappoint. It got pretty crowded during Saturday lunch. The dumplings were tasty, and the standout for me was the General Tao's Chicken—definitely my favorite.
Food was amazing - menu was broad but everything we ordered was pretty flavorful. Came during dinner rush so there was a bit of a wait. Service was prompt. Will definitely be back. Glad to have this spot opened up closer to where we are.
Brand new… They are currently in their soft opening. I had the kung pow chicken. It was perfectly sweet and spicy. The veggies were fresh and cooked perfect. The chicken was not dry at all. I will certainly return.
Great new spot! They’ve been open about a month and we will for sure go back. Our food came out pretty fast and was really good. We got both veggie and pork XLB. Along with the beef rice cake dish.
This place deserves 5 stars ALL around! Super Dumpling is tucked inside this plaza and at first glance you wouldnt expect a really great dumpling place to be here, but best believe, I'm coming back even if this place is out of the way from where I live!! We tried a lil bit of everything from their dumplings to noodles to some meat dishes: •pork xlb $12.95 •shrimp and pork wonton in chili oil $14.95 •pan fried pork and chive dumpling $13.95 •beef chow fun $19.95 •chocolate buns 10.95 •fried lamb w cumin $20.95 •eggplant w garlic sauce $15.95 FIRST OF ALL, I can confidently say that I recommend EVERYTHING we ordered. Something I cannot stop thinking about is their fried lamb w cumin and eggplant w garlic sauce. WOW! We had a ton of leftovers as you can imagine but eating the lamb and eggplant with a bowl of warm rice was seriously like a warm hug. For a place that has only been open for a lil over 2 months, they are serving up some delicious food!!
Super Dumpling serves incredibly tasty, fresh, and high-quality Chinese food at great prices. The dumplings are amazing, and the service is top-notch. A must-try spot!

This is a newly opened spot and I’m so glad I found it! The food is super tasty, the prices are reasonable, the place is really clean, and the service is great. It’s also super close to where I live, which makes it even better. I’ll definitely be coming back often and the flavors are just right for me!
We had the Mongolian beef, pan fried potstickers, long bao sampler, and bbq pork bao buns. And it was delicious! It was very flavorful and the Mongolian beef chow main was my favorite. Everyone was very nice and quick and it was reasonably price for the amount of food and quality. The broth that the dumplings was cooked in was very savory and I wanted to keep eating even though I was very full. We will be coming back!
I ordered the assorted dumplings and cucumber salad. Both were amazing and served within a reasonable amount of time. The staff was attentive and answered all questions that I had. Location is nice for lunch setting and great for a quick get away from work.

This is a very good Chinese restaurant. The Mapo Tofu and Chongqing Spicy Chicken showcase the chef's skill. Sophia's service was impeccable. Her dedication to service made it feel no different from the service at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I will definitely be back.
Came here with a few friends on a Saturday morning. They were not too busy so we got a table immediately. After reviewing the menu, we ordered: - XLB (8pc) 13.95: The wrapping was a bit dry on a few of them but they were tasty on the whole - shrimp and pork wontons in chili oil (8pc) 14.95: These were my favorite. I liked the flavor of the chili oil and used it for the other dumplings as well. - Pan fried pork and chive dumpling (8pc) 13.95: The texture of these are really nice. - Steamed pork and chive dumpling (8pc) 12.95: I enjoyed these as well. Overall, this is a solid dumpling spot. They are in a lot that has a lot of parking, and service is just fine. When in the mood for dumplings, I will definitely come back.
This is a newly opened Chinese restaurant in San Diego. The dining area is clean and bright, the location is easy to find, and parking nearby is fairly convenient. When you walk in, you can see the chefs making dumplings on the spot, which really gives you confidence that the ingredients are fresh. I ordered the pan-fried beef dumplings with onions, xiao long bao, and red chili oil wontons. My favorite was the beef dumplings — the wrappers were tender and smooth, and the filling was juicy and flavorful. Highly recommended! One note: the desserts are not made in-house, so they’re skippable.
The food was okay. I was really hoping to have a new regular spot for dumplings but flavor wise, none of the items stood out.

June 15,2025 Overall: 2 Change from 5 Star to 2 Star due missed order and bad service. Arrived 5:55PM on a Sunday evening. Full house. We put our name on the waitlist. We don’t mind to wait a little when there were a few tables were finishing up and we were first on the list. Few more parties came in while we waited. Two tables became available. The party of 4 behind us were called first. No problem because they had two elderly people and needed to sit at a table near the door. We were called next anyways. We decided to put in the order ourselves using the QR code for convenience. They had a full house and busy anyways. The string beans, black pepper beef, and Chongqing style spicy chicken came out. We waited for over 30 minutes for our order of XLB but it never came. We asked a waiter to check on the order. He never came back to inform us the status. After seeing 2 more tables getting their order of XLB, we decided to ask for the bill. Suggestions to management: 1)If you can handle QR code orders at the table, do not offer it. 2)please train the staff to get back to the customer about the status of an order not just to put in another order. 3)the portion has shrunk from our last visit on June 2. Please have proper portion control in the kitchen. You can check on the 2 pictures of black pepper beef. Suggestion to self: don’t go there when the restaurant is busy. June 2, 2025 Overall: 5 New dumpling house in Carmel Valley - must try! Food: main dishes seasoned well and tasty. Our favorites - black pepper beef and sauteed string beans. XLB are decent but the closing on the top is a bit doughy. Ambience: bright and clean. Service: friendly and prompt although it wasn’t very busy at the time. The server was knowledgeable of the menu and able to make recommendations based on queries. One can just scan the QR code on the table instead of waiting for a staff - very efficient! We will visit again to try other dishes.

I’m a novice regarding this food group, but my taste buds say what I ordered (Signature Xiao Long Bao) was bland. Was more like a $20 appetizer. Waiter neither friendly nor helpful. Hard acoustics so the place is quite loud. I departed hungry.

Just came from this place with my family and I will never go again. The foods are way off from even basic Chinese foods taste and flavor. I wish they don’t call themselves a Chinese restaurant because it really makes me feel bad about other good local Chinese restaurants. The quality in here does not contribute good to any of the reputations to Chinese food. Please go to Convoy st for relatively real ones.
The service was very disappointing. After we were seated, we immediately felt rushed. They took our physical menus away. Which I didn’t mind since they offer ordering through the app but I specifically asked to keep one menu and still wasn’t able to. The waiter continued to rush us while we were eating. He told us it was “last call” to order because they were closing even though there was still about an hour left before closing time. We went ahead and ordered one last dish, but as soon as it arrived, the waiter asked if we wanted a box to go. It was confusing and frustrating why offer a last call if we weren’t actually given time to enjoy the food? To make matters worse, he brought the check while we were still eating and stood nearby staring at us, waiting for payment. My boyfriend had to stop mid-bite just to pay because it felt so uncomfortable. By the time another staff member asked us how the service was, we were already upset. Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling rushed and unwelcome, which really took away from the meal.
