Delicious food!! Pork belly tacos were amazing with the crispy fried pork. Tasty Marry Jane sushi roll, a happy hour special 😄 Scallops with mashed potato tasted great as well. Wish there were more than 3 small scallops. Quality made up for the lack of scallops! Great variety of drinks - lots of beer on draft, and outstanding margaritas! Attentive service!!

We were in town for a conference and asked the 22 year old daughter of an attendee to find a place for all of us to go. She chose this place based on something she saw on TikTok. The service was great. Our server was very nice and helpful and very personable. The atmosphere was very chill. We ate out on the patio. We all ordered different types of sushi. Everyone liked what they had. The Rainbow sushi was great! We would definitely eat there again.

the BEST sushi in san diego IMO. me and my boyfriend went for a date here, and we both had a great time. we had a reservation outside and it was wonderful. went order crazy, but it was worth it. service was quick and super nice!! prices were great despite our big order, especially with happy hour. 10/10

Ocean Beach is one of my favorite spots whenever I visit San Diego, and I’m so glad I stumbled across The Joint while wandering around. The first time I went, I was solo and had an awesome experience…the waiter was super friendly and even let me sample a few sour beers. The vibe was laid-back and welcoming, and the energy of the place really stood out. I enjoyed it so much, I came back again…and had just as great of a time the second round.

SECOND TO NONE!!! Ocean Beach has the best sushi outside of Japan! They have such a variety and depth to their rolls and poke as well! Dr Eel Good, Bomb-a-licious, Lemon Basil, Big Kahuna (spicy tuna), and about 4 other vegetarian rolls that I can't remember their names! Oh and they have a great happy hour (1pm to 5pm I think)! Great selection of craft beers! There's a reason there is a wait at the Joint!

This place is a treat! The miso was great; the salmon hand rolls were great as well (fresh and the dressing on it!); we also got the vegetarian roll (OB funguy) which was very different and filling. Not a typical “sushi” dish yet I’d order it again. Amanda is top-notch making it ALL happen for her tables and customers. Very happy with our visit here.

Awesome place with great menu. Wings in sweet and spicy Thai chili sauce were flavorful with just the right kick. Shishito peppers were unique and had a great texture. Lemon basil roll was fresh and light. Everything tasted fresh and the items came out piping hot (except the sushi).

I was dubious at first because the restaurant was crowded and loud, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. We sat at the bar and had sushi / salmon - both dishes were excellent. Service by the bar staff was top notch.

Was on the hunt for a happy hour and had a craving for sushi while in Ocean Beach so naturally found ourselves at The Joint. The happy hour menu offered a variety of options and the service wasn’t quick but we weren’t in a hurry. Plenty of seating as they weren’t that busy.

Let me start by saying, I absolutely love the Joint. Food and staff are great. My biggest complaint with them is their prices. I was shocked to see that my friends $20 burger I also ordered (everyone’s food showed up separately, by the way) showed up on a plate all by itself with hardly any toppings. Meaning it didn’t come with fries or any side. Seriously, $20 for a burger and no fries!? I brought it up to the server who said, “oh yeah, I guess I probably should have mentioned that”. I had to order fries separately. Then my fries showed up by themselves before my burger. Great. By the end of the night I was hardly satisfied with my Truffle burger which has “truffle sticks”, not real truffle. Did not taste like truffle at all. Pretty much a flavorless burger. Good thing I asked for spicy mayo on the side that I had to dip my burger into. The total for fries, a mediocre burger, and a side of cucumber salad plus a tip was $45. I was pretty shocked and upset with that price. I won’t be going back unfortunately.

Went to check this place out with my bud, good spot for happy hour drinks and food. No AC so it’s a bit hot inside, food wasn’t anything spectacular. If you get the tacos and aren’t into spice be careful! Overall would recommend if you’re looking for a happy hour place but would recommend if you’re a foodie to look further server was amazing, warm and helpful 👍🏽 cool design on the ceiling though.

I did like atmosphere/sooo Casual .I don't eat raw fish other than certain places here in SD (I'm picky cause I'm Japanese 😅) but hubby from Texas said Ok... Shouldn't order Tempura as appetizer It was huge! N it was more like fritters. Server couldn't explain what's in Pickles...n my glass for bottles of Asahi was just came out from dishwasher? was warm.n had chips on wedges...good thing I noticed before cut my lips.
