Open since 2016 this is one of my favorite French dining options in all of San Diego and perhaps one of my favorite dining options in general as well. Every time I come it is consistently delicious and I am very happy to hear that it they are opening a second location very close to my family‘s house in Rancho Santa Fe so now North County will be covered as well. Inside is very large and designed beautifully and is the sort of place you want to stay a while or take a date that you care about. It’s a bit upscale, but the pricing is not too much. I would say business casual, but it really is a great date option. Our server was extremely polite and as always everything that we ordered came out very fast. Parking in Banker’s Hill is extremely easy. We were able to find a street spot two blocks away and that’s usually the case when I come here. For this visit, I started off with the Wagyu Beef Tartare and absolutely loved it. It had great flavor and everything about it was just wonderful. For my entrée I chose the Boeuf Bourguignon and that too was delicious. It had some really deep rich flavors and every part of it was just made very well. I was a huge fan of it and would highly recommend. Overall, I really love this place and would suggest to anyone in San Diego or visiting.
Beautiful place. Would be great to come for an elevated dining experience or some cocktails. Service was EXCELLENT. Friendly, Attentive and Cohesive experience. White table Linens, variety of tasty food options. Pricing was reasonable for the quality. Will definitely be back for cocktails and dinner separately. Limited Street parking in the mid-afternoon time when I visited.
We hosted a company event with 100+ attendees. Planning for months. The food was OUTSTANDING! The drinks flowed smoothly and service could not have been better! Thank you to the owner who personally oversaw the whole event to ensure everything was correct. Highly recommended
I attended an event here where the restaurant was bought out for the evening. The atmosphere, service, and food was all outstanding. Whatever you do, save room for dessert because the Dark Chocolate Marquise is mic-drop amazing!
Bankers Hill is fortunate to have a Growing variety of great dining options at different price points And Parc Bistro is a consistent top performer. While, I support the right of the recent protesters at the restaurant I would point to the fact that Parc Bistro has consistently been a strong contributor to the Welfare of the greater community, provided Quality employment, Entertainment and a welcoming gathering location for a number of local organizations. My impression is that in addition to these qualities that Management makes an effort to use environmentally and economically sustainable Ingredients that build a local supply chain that increases the opportunity for local sustainability. I am proud to have them as a member of the local community and look forward to having many excellent meals in future community meetings at this welcoming and iconic restaurant in Bankers Hill.
Christmas Eve dinner was perfect. Service was so good despite it being packed and the food was lovely. Everyone at the table was happy with what we ordered. Shoutout to server Julian was great and hostess Grace who went the extra mile answering questions on the phone and adjusting our reservation to be more convenient for us. Can’t wait to return!
My cousin in law always raves about French food. We were in San Diego for his birthday and we decided to bring him to a French restaurant. This place did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was delicious. For appetizers we got oysters, escargot, french onion soup and the charcuterie board. It was my boyfriend’s first time trying escargot and he fell in love with it. He said that dish was the highlight of his dinner. For entrees: Cousin in law got the Boeuf Bourguignon Boyfriend got the Lobster Risotto My cousin and I shared one of the specials which was steak (i forgot which cut) with variety of veggies All 3 were soooo good. We even tried each others’ dishes and the dishes intertwined with each other so deliciously. We were so full but we had to try dessert. We got the dark chocolate marquise and the creme brulee. Both so very yummy, it’ll be a must order next time we come back for sure. We sat on the patio and it was dim out there so I had to use my flash for the photos. The photos do not do the food justice. The food was amazing! If you’re in San Diego, this is a must stop!
On vacation in SD and found Parc on Google Maps. The food was incredible. The three of us argued which plate was best as we decided to share multiple apps and entrees. They were all great. Duck, crab cake, trout, and roasted vegetables. Highly recommended. Also less expensive than we assumed. Our services was so much fun!
My fiance's birthday was last weekend in this weekend for one of her to do was to eat at a French restaurant being that she's half French and half Egyptian. I always talked about her Grandma's French cooking. We searched on Google near the location we were at and this place came up. Made a reservation immediately. Arrived to the location parking wasn't an issue was seated quickly the vibe was nice the ambiance was awesome the food was good and our server Courtney was the bomb.com!!! We are fans and definitely will be back again. Bravo 👌🏽👏🏽
Really charming French restaurant in Bankers hill. The bread and olive tapanade were deliciously salty. The pate was delectable and luscious. French onion soup was on point and rich with flavor. Salmon was rich and inviting. The duck breast was flavorful but a bit chewy. However, the duck leg was tender and savory. They have a great happy hour menu and on a Sunday! Who has happy hour on a Sunday. Looking forward to returning.
Ate a yummy brunch at Parc Bistro-Brasserie! Beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat on the dog friendly patio. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and for mains had the crabmeat omelette and blackened salmon sandwich with a Belgian waffle on the side. The food was great. Excellent, attentive, and friendly service. Recommend!
Great French Restaurant for a Delicious Dinner! We really liked the atmosphere and service at this place. We ordered the Wagyu Beef Tartare and Ballotine De Poulet Farcie, and both dishes were tasty. The beef tartare was delicious—I really liked how the meat was seasoned and presented. The Ballotine De Poulet Farcie was an amazing dish that I highly recommend. It’s a stuffed chicken breast served with mashed potatoes, and the flavors were just perfect.
Overall, it was a pretty pleasant experience. The service was good: everyone was so welcoming and on the ball. The food was definitely good – solid and enjoyable, though I wouldn't say it reached 'mind-blowing' status. My only tiny critique would be that the coffee wasn't quite as hot as I usually like it, which was a small bummer. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about, but it also didn't quite hit the 'unforgettable' mark for me. However, since I've heard such rave reviews from others, I'm genuinely thinking I might just need to give it a second chance – maybe I'll try a different menu item next time, or perhaps even dinner! Just a heads-up if you ever plan to go: parking around there is a bit of a quest, so be prepared for that!
Went for a 90th birthday dinner. They gave us a room, which was lovely. Food was good and service was excellent. Very noisy by 6:00 pm.
Had a craving for mussels so I stopped by here - the service was good and the dish tasted okay. The only reason I take off a star is most of the mussels still had their beard attached. For a restaurant I’d expect them to prep the seafood better.
Food was OK, considering the prices, nothing was stand-out or wow. The 3 Shrimp on the Mediterranean Shrimp Salad were over-cooked and under-seasoned. Blackened Salmon sandwich could have used a little more zing. We had made a reservation through Google, but they didn't have anything in their system, so glad it wasn't busy and we could be seated as a walk-in. I was thinking downtown San Diego would have something a bit more tasty from one of their top-rated restaurants.
We came here for a Thursday lunch. It was packed inside but there were only 2 parties on the outdoor patio. (We were one of them) The bread and olive tapenade was very good. We shared a French onion soup (tasty). Mussels were very large and plump. The burger was large. The ahi sandwich looked impressive but was okay. Food was between a 3 and 4-star. Service was very friendly and attentive.
The drinks, apps and dessert were delicious, but the entrees were meh. I ordered my steak frites medium well and they were so incredibly tough to cut/chew. My husband ordered his steak medallions medium rare and they tasted nearly raw with a very mushy texture. Overall the service was great and they were very attentive. We will be back, but not for steak.
The restaurant is in nice location, the interior look is ok. I have certain expectations as I love French food a lot! Unfortunately the food didn’t meet my expectations. There is very rare vegan options, I would not consider it as vegan friendly. The flavor combination is strange, heavy fermented olive with non flavor cauliflower, which makes the olive take over the whole plates’ flavor experience. The onion soup, cheese is good quality, the soup itself is a little salty, with soaked bread in, very wired color and texture. The salmon, crispy part is a surprising, side veg and potato are super oily and salt, the plate floated with a whole layer of butter. Excuse me? Everything is already oily, why need so much butter? Where is the balance and harmony between different ingredients which originally are supposed to be tasteful with different oil level in the same plate? It’s a failure of French cuisine. Even I enjoyed the certain texture of the salmon, and the rest are overcooked. Still consider it’s a failure However, if you like American fast food, their food won’t bother your tongue too much. Rich dance and bounce of oil and salt will bring you the privilege about how American food culture could make French food not taste like French any more The service is pretty nice!
I had heard great things about this place, unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. The ingredients in general were subpar. The tartare tasted like “everything” couldn’t taste the meat, the beef bourguignon tasted like béchamel, and nothing else. Everything else was ok but not great. The profiteroles were the worst, dry bread and dried up chocolate that tasted like Hershey’s. Even the ice cream tasted cheap. Service was outstanding, unfortunately good service is not enough for a place to be worth repeating.
