Small , beautiful and one of the best hidden gem. Upon arrival they served us complimentary herbal tea and then warm soup. We order main entree and desserts but they served us desserts first and then the main entree which is extremely common in all Asian restaurants. They will serve you which ever is cooked first and fresh. Over all the food was delicious but the service of the guy was above and beyond. He was taking orders, attending phone calls, serving dishes and may be cooking as well. He kept checking everyone for water and food. Over all really satisfied with the quality,$$ and the service.
One of my favorite spots in the city. I love the flavors and portions. I always leave with a full belly. As you can tell my favorite is the Mongolian chicken. Came back with some more pictures from more visits. The duck is delicious and the wings are so crispy and juicy. This has become my favorite go to Chinese food restaurant ❤️
Nice little find. I am staying at the Holiday Inn, and was looking for a quick carryout meal. I ordered the chow mein, sesame chicken, and honey walnut shrimp for carry out. By the time I left the hotel and walked to the restaurant around the block it was ready to go and the service was fast and pleasant. Back at the hotel the flavors were excellent, the walnut shrimp was one of the best I’ve had! Would definitely order from here again.
Hidden gem. The menu images here are outdated — lunch specials are now starting at $11 — but the price is 100% worth it. Ordered the lunch special and got soup, a generous portion of rice and a generous portion of your entree of choice, plus complimentary tea. Way more food than I would have expected for a lunch special costing $12 and it was very good. Strongly recomend the lunch special if you couldn’t tell. Will be returning 1000%. Food is somewhat spicy but that’s how you know they’re not pandering.
We loved this place! Great atmosphere, food and service. Love it when you are served tea with dinner. We had Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken and Crab Rangoons! All were very tasty!
I Like This Place... They Had a Combination Plate to Pick 2 Mains,, a Side and Egg Roll Including Soup... Allows Substitutes As I Wanted Fried Rice Instead White... All For Only Around $20 Bucks... Quality Above Average... Offering Combinations Uuu Certainly Get Your Money Worth... All Chinese Restaurants Should Do Thier Menu ALike...
What a wonderful find! Lunch special is generously portioned and comes with hot tea, an egg roll, and a delicious veggie soup. Service was prompt and very friendly. I especially enjoyed the kung pao tofu.
AMAZING!!! I had a private party for my birthday and it beat all expectations. Eddie (owner) really goes over and above to make it such a fun experience. The ambience was awesome, the food was awesome, and the decorations were awesome too. They went over and above. This was a night I will never forget. All of my friends want to have parties at bamboo too that’s how amazing it was. Highly highly highly recommend and it is very affordable per person and my friends and I will be back just to dine in as well. 10/10 recommend the food and having a private party. Thanks Eddie and the staff at bamboo you made my 28th birthday one I’ll never forget 🖤
The place here is very good. The broccoli 🥦 beef was very good. The brown rice was amazing and the egg rolls were a really nice touch. The vegetables were. Soft and supple . I highly recommend them. I give them a 5 star ⭐️
My coworkers and I stumbled across this Hidden gem after a couple drinks and the restaurant was so inviting provided so much hospitality everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious we got hot tea (I love tea). Thank you for encouraging us to do karaoke we had so much fun and we forever remember this place. I will definitely come back with family 🩷
Absolutely delicious, really wonderful service and nice atmosphere. We got complementary tea before our meal and everything was so fresh and beautiful. They worked with us for taking home the leftovers as well. 100% recommend and will go again!
Stop at Bamboo immediately! My husband and I were in SF last month, chose Bamboo based on Google reviews and weren’t disappointed! The owner is sooo kind, the playlists were great to listen to, and the food was amazing! We went two nights - my husband STILL talks about their orange chicken, I dream of how crispy their honey walnut chicken was, and I was pleasantly surprised when the owner recommended I order the Chicken with Basil in Plum Sauce. It may be my new favorite asian dish. Bamboo stays at the top of our SF recommendations!!
Been here a few times and always have a pleasant experience. The staff is really friendly and the food is also really good. If you’re not sure what to order they’re helpful with their recommendations and don’t disappoint. The price is great especially for the portions. The overall aesthetic is so cute as well. They’re very attentive and good comes quickly and tastes fresh. They offer free deliver as well

Great local restaurant. Food was excellent and so was the service.

Great sesame chicken, friendly service, good price

One of my new favorite Chinese food spots! Lunch special is an excellent value. Got salt and pepper fish and eggplant with tofu over brown rice, which comes with soup and an egg roll. The service was better than most other restaurants in the city I’ve been to. I’ll definitely be back. I liked that there were a few vegetarian options, but I wish there were more vegetable with tofu options!
SO good. I’ve lived in the neighborhood 9 months and cannot believe I just found this place! Hard to find cream cheese wontons and theirs are AMAZING! The combo meal is the way to go for a solo dinner (and lunch bc of the yummy leftovers)…big portion! I’ve just found my new favorite local Chinese takeout!
We have been ordering delivery from Bamboo for probably 30 years and oddly have never been to the actual restaurant. Good food and good service. Very quick delivery and often the person that delivers is the same guy that has previously delivered. Last time he was surprised that our dog Lola did not great him! She is almost 18 and deaf so she didn't realize he was here! The food never disappoints and one of our go-to dishes is the Honey Walnut Prawns. The food is always consistent which in this day and age is rare. Their menu is very extensive - and they have a great list of "Chefs Specials". We usually order enough for several meals or a big crowd. One of the few places that seemed to still be open consistently through the Covid lockdown and never missed a beat. Last week when I went to order online the site said closed to delivery. I called and they told me they were short staffed and when ready to order call back and they would get it delivered but it might take 45-60 minutes. The food came in about 20 minutes!

Got the spicy basil fried eggplant and tofu with plum sauce, was amazing!!!! Highly recommend for vegetarians, lots of options on the menu. The server and owner were really nice and they do a lot to give back to the community 💙
Affordable, extensive menu, and safe & cute location! The customer service was friendly and efficient. We got 6 rolls for take out: Dragon, rainbow, spicy mango avocado, 49er, Tokyo, Philadelphia. Favorites were Spicy mango avocado (sounds weird but was a really refreshing and good combination) and Tokyo roll (deep fried salmon tuna and eel). Something was missing from some of the other rolls—maybe a sauce or pickled vegetable could be added to make the flavor pop. But I liked the generous portions, good price, and fresh ingredients. I would come again to try the rest of the menu.
This place was very good. My family and I got the sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken pictured, chicken fried rice and chow mein. My favorite dish out of the bunch was by far the chow mein, the noodles were so soft and perfect with the sauce. IT WAS AMAZING. My second favorite was orange chicken which was flavorful, crunchy and tender all at once. Both chickens were very saucy with a combination of sweet, salty and tangy. Everything was good but the fried rice was my least favorite of them all. The food came in about 15 for all the things we ordered and the server was nice. Very small and intimate vibe with mood lighting which was nice. Overall 7.6/10.

The service is great. I ordered the lemon chicken for my family. They did not enjoy it. It wasn’t lemony enough. It was more like a gel lemon gel. Chicken fried rice, orange chicken potstickers are always enjoyable.
The food they serve is absolutely terrible. The fried wontons were burnt and chewy and the chicken chow mein was dry. Couldn't even finish my plate it was so bad. Don't come here
