This is another one of those hole in the wall joints that will always make you come back for more. The place is nothing to look at, but it is clean, and God the dumplings and the beef brisket noodle soup were unbelievable. It is THE definition of northern Chinese comfort food. The amount of beef brisket in that dark decadent and rich soup was more than you can imagine. Probably the only thing that I have had in the SF area that actually meets the money value. If you couldn't get enough of it and too full to eat more, take the frozen ones home on the way out. Don't order the funky dumplings like Beef and Carrots, stick with the old school Pork and Cabbage, maybe Chives, you can't go wrong there. There is no alcohol here, the only down side!

Friendly and quick service. Overall a very solid neighborhood spot! Got the beef noodle soup and cucumber with boiled peanuts. The soup was really flavorful and some of the best in the neighborhood. Cucumber was fresh and well seasoned. The prices are very reasonable as well.

The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean, but the best part was the food!! We got the marinated boiled peanuts with cucumbers, pork and chive dumplings, crepe, and chive pancakes. It was all fantastic. Are favorite were the dumplings!🥟

You know when you walk in a place and it feels like home. This is a place that is loved and full of hardworking people and they love their food. I get a vibe that their children helped set up their payment service and ordering system. The beef noodle soup is so good. I’ve been trying to find a place for years and this is it. I’m coming back. The lady was so nice. We ordered the spicy beef tripe and she came over and told us she didn’t have enough for a full serving so she asked if she substitute some pig ear too. Honestly I liked the pig ear more but the tripe was so good too. This is a mom and pop shop. So don’t be bringing your hate here. I’m definitely coming back.

As other reviews have said, it is a shame this hole in the wall has so few reviews for the quality and cost of food. It was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Everything was a blast of flavor! You can see them making the dumplings by hand in the kitchen. The noodles were perfectly cooked in the Noodle Soup and the beef was nicely tender. They were very accomadating for a large party and VERY friendly staff. The amout of food for the price is very reasonable!! The photo is only half of the food ordered. 2 orders of dumplings, 1 order of Soup Dumplings, 1 order of Braised Beef Noodle Soup, 2x Rolled Pancake with Sliced Beef, 1x Green Onion Pancakes was only $80 and fed a party of 8. The dumplings are 14 per order and soup dumplings came in an order of 8.

Great homestyle dumplings and xiao long bao. Dumpling skin was hand rolled, meat was tender, and soup was flavorful.

I hesitated outside, as there was only one party inside and it was prime lunch hour. We had put our names down at another beef noodle soup/dumpling restaurant 2 blocks away, where there was a long line, so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try somewhere that didn’t seem very popular. Boy am I happy I did. We ordered the beef noodle soup, chive dumplings and shrimp/chive pancakes. All were delicious, flavorful and the ingredients felt pure. It seems like a family run restaurant, very simple and unassuming, and where the owner is the chef. I would 100% be back to support and enjoy their food!

Small plates : Lotus root salad - refreshing Spicy tripe - not that spicy but with numbing effect. Good Sea Kelp salad - ok but soft and tenter. A lot easier to digest than the one served in a typical Japanese restaurant. Chive pancakes - good and it is vegetarian; generous portion of eggs, chives and bean thread fillings. Steam dumplings - didn’t tried Shanghai soup dumplings- the usual Pan Fried Pork Buns - too doughy. Bottom could have get more crispy, need to pan fried a little longer. Beef crepes- very good Beef Noodle soup - noodle was al dente. Beef was tender and flavorful broth. Highly recommended.
