Billingsgate

Billingsgate is an unusual name for a fish store, however, their fish selection as well as their prepared meals is definitely worth a visit.

Had the crab salad on brioche. Not heavily dressed to hide any fishiness so the crab actually shines through. Also came with I think a watercress salad which tasted pretty fresh to me. Also got the kampachi crudo. Would definitely get again. Seasoned with a olive oil vinaigrette of sorts with some grapefruit pieces.

Fantastic Gem!!!!! Low key seafood spot. Service was nice and selection was superb! They do happy hour 3-5pm!!!

Love this place. I am a loyal Sun Fat guy for the past 10+ years, but Billingsgate is a welcomed addition to the mix. Prices are competitive for the quality. Happy hour Mondays is great (oysters, carpaccio, chowder), esp for parents who are dropping kids off nearby for after school activities. And shoutout to the super friendly young fishmonger (reddish beard) is always helpful, informative and happy. Much more knowledgeable and helpful vs the Whole Foods counter down the block. I now come here for certain things I don’t often find elsewhere, like sea bream, grade A uni and fresh halibut.

A seafood store with flavors of Italy and Japan. You can order seafood to take home and eat or prepare, or dine in. Service was welcoming and helpful. We had the Spanish octopus carpaccio and Wild Scallop Ceviche both of which were light and tasty. They also had a nice section of Japanese shoyu and food items and Italian food items. The bathroom was clean and pleasant. The area, Noe Valley, is a busy, active neighborhood with nice shops and eateries, full of friendly people and families.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Everything on their menu is delicious and fresh. This new, chic concept is the best place to get fresh seafood and fish in San Francisco. They have a great dry good selection and some fresh food available to take home for the perfect meal. The team is kind and they have an amazing attention to detail—they even chill their silverware!! This is the cioppino, poke and the octopus carpaccio. SO GOOD. Ask for our friend Lorenzo!

Wow , what a place , a very refined looking fish spot where you are offered poke or salad and choose your sashimi grade fish directly from the shop. Fish flavor and freshness was on point , great looking plates as well . What a spot !

Nice place, doubles as a seafood market and cafe. I had the Crudo and fresh Crab salad. It's a super casual environment, but light and airy. Definitely worth a visit if you want some fresh seafood/oysters.

The oysters came in a variety and I sat in the shop to have some. I took the rest home and the friendly worker packaged them up perfectly. I would gladly return for more fresh seafood!

Grabbed some take out from here for the first time. I was extremely impressed. I ordered a small poke salad with wasabi & ginger dressing. It was so tasty. Perfectly balanced flavours and the freshest ingredients. I observed the person preparing my meal with a lot of care and finesse. Both staff members were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely order take out from here again.

Fresh seafood for a casual option.

Amazing fresh seafood options. The staff is so friendly and helpful and everything is so delicious. Their catering is top notch too! My guests loved the chowder, poke and oysters. I can’t wait to use them for another party.
