I felt the sense that the people working there were genuinely happy to serve me. They roast their own coffee beans onsite and have many different roasts to choose from. I’ve been there twice so far and was impressed both times and compelled to return and taste all their different roasts (over time of course). Excellent coffee made using various brewing techniques made specifically for each person, it’s definitely not the typical coffee shop. Highly recommend.
I love this Café. Staff are super friendly and the menu offers an array of coffee and food options. My favorites are the almond milk latte, the lavender latte, the cold mint latte and the eat with purpose avocado toast! Best part is they have a coffee stamp card.
Quick stop at UPFORDAYZ today provided me with a quick snack that was quite delicious. I selected the London Broil sandwich with tender beef and toppings on a in house fresh baked roll. It was moist, tasty and well prepared. For a beverage I selected the Balance shake which contained avocado and banana. It was very creamy and smooth, a delicate flavor and not too sweet. Excellent!
Everything here is amazing and their passion of coffee is evident. From their on premises roasted beans, the incredibly good espresso drinks, fresh juices, smoothies and food plates, you can’t go wrong. Plus the staff is extremely caring and they bend over backwards to make your experience pleasant. And during these tough times of with many businesses having to close, they’ve remained open and have been donating money and and food to the well deserving first responders. Thank you guys!
This place opened up fairly recently (mid 2019) and it's great! The coffee is pretty divine. I've gotten one of their flavorful drip coffees and a cappuccino before and both were amazing. Of the coffee shops around this area, I'd say only Ritual Coffee can compare and I'd give the edge to UP-FOR-DAYZ if I had to choose between them. They are open later than most coffee shops which is a plus, but don't open as early in the week as others. It appears to be family owned which is a nice feeling
The latte made with One Thousand Hands beans was the best latte I've ever had. Seriously. Rich... Smooth... Chocolate-y. It tasted like a mocha. (I could not taste one single hand.) Fluffy Sweet Potato bowl was delicious also. Will return.
Great neighborhood gem! I came here practically every day when my baby was a newborn and I loved the friendly staff, the sunny ambiance and just having a real place for locals to spend time. The staff knows everything about coffee, I love that the food is just perfect for an unpretentious pick-me-up any time and those juices are just the thing in the summer heat. Great new addition to the Mission and to Valencia Street!
My go-to coffee shop on Valencia. Great atmosphere for feeling productive or catching up with friends. All of their coffee offerings are amazing and I love their food. The best avocado toast (randas favorite) I’ve had in San Francisco. The family who owns the shop is also the best! They know how to make you feel at home
a definite five star! Finally a place that has everything I want, Coffee, Fresh Juices (NOT the prebottled ones), and Snacks (a cinnamon muffin that was awesome). They can make your coffee in any "format"....Espresso, Drip, French Press, Chemex...and more. I really liked this place, we finnished jogging in front of it and i thought id give it a try. Glad i did.
I just popped in for a quick cup of coffee during my short stay in San Francisco. The delicious oatmilk caramel latte was great, just a bit too strong for me, I saved some for the following day. Amazing pastries were available as well. Nice atmosphere with the morning sun shining in.
Friendly staff! The cold brew was good! Gotta try the sandwiches next!
The vibe here is great. Customer service 10/10. Super friendly. Wifi is decent. Smoothie is good. Smiles man. Def coming back. gem
This place opened near my apartment and I am in love with it. The owners are always greeting everyone with a smile and immediately recognized I was coming in often. The coffee is well balanced and they have so many different ways of making it. I haven't tried anything but pour over but I have tried most of the available varieties and they've all been smooth and perfect. The sandwiches are made to order and with high quality ingredients. I'll be in all the time on weekends for sure.
The quality of their coffee and the skill at pulling espresso shots is the best in the city. They roast their own beans on site and have a health + delicious food menu. This is my favorite spot to grab a great americano in the city.
This has been my favorite neighborhood cafe since I found them about a year or so ago. Their coffee is fantastic - I love both of their light roasts, which are rich in flavor and very balanced/ not acidic. My boyfriend is a big fan of their dark roasts, so they have something for all tastes in coffee. The cold brew is very good also. Their homemade bread for the sandwiches is really great as well, and the smoothies are also delicious. On top of having great coffee and food, the family running this place are some of the nicest, warmest people I’ve met in San Francisco. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and go check this place out!
Now that's a coffee. Cozy little place and offers really good coffee and breakfast, and lunch. If you have kiddos, make sure to get the Sam's shake. My kids are on a picky side, and they love this strawberry vanilla shake. They can't have enough of it. I really enjoyed the ham sandwich, and the bread that they use is so good. Make sure to give this place a try when you're in San Francisco.
The food and service was great! There is a nice variety of options on the menu. Excellent presentation, immaculate, and friendly staff. They just need more seating away from the direct sunlight or shades.
This place is phenomenal. Best people and coffee. Charming, cheery and local. If you’re a coffee person this place is for you. Unique in house coffee roasts with rich ingredient stories. Bakery and food top notch staples. They always introduce new items to discover. Pizza croissant, juice, sandwiches, seasonal drinks, good black coffee. Great place to work, read, meet up with friends. Indoor and outdoor seating.
We got their regular iced latte and the hazelnut cold foam cold brew (I think lol). I’ve been really into coffee this year which is a bit strange as I’ve always disliked drinking coffee growing up. Taste buds really do change! I normally just get a simple iced latte and that’s what I got here.
Love love love this spot!!!! I get my green juices (and they are so generous and accept all of my substitutions) and coffee here. The food and drinks are so solid and leaves me feeling great and uplifted. They have the friendliest crew too. My to go spot in the mission!
Cute little cafe. Mango matcha latte was delish.
First time visitor; definitely satisfied. I ordered the cold brew with mint and lime (wanted decaf, so they were able to switch it from cold brew to iced decaf). I had it with a bit of oat milk. It was surprisingly delicious, and very refreshing! I haven't had lime in coffee before, but I'm sold! The two people working there I met were also very nice. Thanks for the tasty treat!
Possibly the best matcha + avocado toast I’ve ever had. The touch of lemon paired with the avocado, layered on top of the thick, buttery slice of bread was transcendental. Will return once in the area..
It was my first time here. I was given a wide range of options and the person in the counter was a owner too. So she explained me about the methods. i liked the coffee that i took, it was suggested by her, well done guys! There was no brown sugar for the coffee, that day.... but i am ok with it.
I’ve had UpForDayz on my list of places to work from café at and just got around to it. It did not disappoint. There was sufficient seating for individuals or small groups, and the WiFi was fast and reliable. I ordered the Queen of Green signature juice to sip on while working, and it was everything I wanted in a green juice: slightly sweet but not too sweet, savory, creamy, frothy, and not bitter. One thing worth noting is that despite being remote work friendly, this place is not conducive to taking calls or being in meetings on Zoom. While I was here, it got very noisy between the sounds of the blender, music, construction outside, and occasional trucks and motorcycles roaring by. This did not affect my work, as I didn’t have any meetings to attend, but just know it’s more of a place to power out some independent work or catch up with a friend or two.
One of the few places where the baristas actually smile and seem happy to be here! Great spot in the mission to do work and grab some solid coffee and pastries! Definitely going to be my new go-to spot
Ordered coffee and a bagel for delivery and specified in the comments that I would love to get oat with my cortado. They left a cute note on my coffee that I saw when I received the delivery! Super tasty coffee by the way, would order again!

Family run mission business with an excellent work ethic and thoughtfully dedicated service. Knows their customers by name after two visits, funny and caring. Favorite coffee shop in the area.
I love this coffee shop! The atmosphere is lovely. Owners are great. Especially Musa who is very welcoming and warm! He has a new recommendation every time and makes sure the food is made with great care and quality. I love trying out everything on their menu, but my personal favorite is Randy’s favorite sandwich. Their ingredients are fresh and perfectly balanced! Bonus points for beautiful presentation!

First time visiting this place. Egg/bacon bagel was good and filling! Service was friendly! Cold Brew and Latte was sadly not too flavorful and had a watered down taste :(
Stopped by for a sandwich at lunch which was yummy, healthy and filling. The "Eat for Purpose" was really yummy, but I feel it was a misnomer and was more of a "toast." Nonetheless it was huge and could perhaps be considered an open face sandwich. The staff were nice and efficient, there is a decent amount of seating for doing some work and the bathroom was clean. I'd like to come back and try their drinks.
Stopped by for a juice and paid over $10 for a small berry juice. This place is very cute and the food/drinks are good, just a little overpriced for what it is. But the staff is very friendly and the ambience is good.
Nice little quiet breakfast spot on Valencia with a friendly owner

I ordered the chocolate vegan bowl…it was very underwhelming. The texture / color was pretty gross and there were no cacao nibs. It just had chocolate syrup pumped in and mixed with the base. People working there were very nice but that particular menu item needs work 🙏 Have had similar items at other places that were tiers better.
I spent a year accumulating my punch card count and coming back to this place for Sam’s Shake. I finally got to my tenth shake and when I came back they said I can only redeem this for a black coffee. I feel super mislead and I don’t trust this place anymore because I let this place use a marketing gimmick on me.
It’s perfectly fine with good smoothie options and coffee selections. The food isn’t very good, but can be expected from the amount of workers. Everybody works fast and the service is quick. Great place to get some work done.

This place is okay to fine if you need something quick. I wouldn't recommend it relative to the Grand or other coffee options nearby. Ritual is better for example. They do have some space to sit although generally in direct sun with no shade structure, meaning I never use it. On the plus side it's always available.

Ordered a decaf macchiato. Coffee was good, definitely not decaf though. I guess they call it UpForDayz for a reason. :-(
Does not close at 5pm. Tried going at 2:30 on a weekday and it was closed.
UPDATE (7/27/24): As expected, a reply was written on my review from July 26 below that is a COMPLETE LIE! You claim to have cameras, include some proof of your lies if you can... I was rude to no one, none of the employees offered me another pastry or a refund, and no customer took part in any of my interactions with the staff. After I was told to "have a nice day" and the man turned his back on me, I left the bag with the pastry on the counter (as pictured), took the delivery order and left the store. There was even a policeman there who, I am sure, saw no rudeness on my part. To put it mildly - it is wrong for your to post lies in your replies to reviews. People will catch on to them quickly. ================================= REVIEW (7/26/24): Rude staff, old pastries, overpriced. There are a number of reviews mentioning rude staff. I'm sure whoever replies to these will also be ready to reply to my review. You be the judge. I got there this morning before 9:00 a.m. for an Uber Eats delivery. I normally don't accept delivery requests but I was curious about this place since I've been seeing it a lot. I went in and was told that the order would be ready in 5 minutes. I took that time to review the menu and decided to get me a marble cake to try. Honestly the cake was old and not tasty. At some point I had to actually go to my car to get some water because I was choking on the old cake that got stuck in my throat. When I came back I was told the delivery was ready so I went up to the counter to get it. I brought my bag with the marble cake once bitten and I made a note to the person who gave it to me that the cake was old and not good. The girl assured me the cake was from this morning, while a guy behind her looked at me and just turned around and continued his work. As I was picking up the order that I had to deliver I exclaimed: "Wouldn't you say something about what I just said?" The guy turned around and said: "You're being rude." I was baffled: how was I being rude if I'm complaining about an old cake? "I didn't hear what you said to her and you're talking to me about it. You should just be saying did you hear what I said?" I had no way of knowing that the guy hadn't heard me. I mean he was right behind the girl when I said that and he looked at me. The whole situation felt almost like the guy (who I have a feeling might be a manager or even owner) was ignoring what I said and then turned it into being offended by my question. After some exchange he just said "have a nice day" and turned around again. I explained "you're being disrespectful right now, not me." Left the bag with the one bite cake (as pictured) on the counter, took my delivery and left disappointed. I delivered their delivery on time, as requested.
They dump sugar in their all of their drinks, don’t tell you and then act like you were at fault for not knowing and asking for a change. Drink was overpriced, so more money wasted.
Last Friday,I ordered two drinks here. My drink was fine, but for some reason, my friend's cappuccino was only three-quarters full. My friend noticed the weight was off as soon as she received it, opened it, and discovered the discrepancy. Because we had to work, we didn't have time to go back and argue with him. My friend told me the cappuccino wasn't good either, and it even made her throat feel uncomfortable for no apparent reason. Overall, the experience wasn't good. Furthermore, as a coffee shop, not providing bags for customers buying more than two drinks seems like poor service. There's a sign at the entrance urging people to "support local businesses," but they didn't provide basic service. I don't know if others have encountered the same situation. Because I'm Asian, I could feel that his attitude was significantly different from the elderly white man who ordered in front of me. In my opinion, if they want more customers , they should adjust their mindset and not emotionally blackmail people to support local businesses. And if they don't welcome Asians, they should just write it down; then we wouldn't go in. While Starbucks' coffee isn't the best, their service is generally of a certain standard. And Starbucks is cheaper than theirs. My conclusion is ,if you are Asian ,don’t go to this coffee shop.
