Great spot. Always a solid mixed crowd. Chill environment and way less of a frat party then the marina they have my favorite drink on their menu! Hope they never get rid of the paper planes. While the wait can be a thing I’m fine with it when the drinks are always very good and the prices are right for this quality, def keeps me coming back

Good vibes at the Casanova Lounge! This neighborhood bar epitomizes the Mission's current incarnation. The one-of-a-kind vintage pendant lights, combined with the kitschy (yet cohesive) decor, make this place a joy to look at. Drinks are reasonably priced, especially for San Francisco! I'd give this place 4.5 stars if I could, but the reason I don't think it's the perfect bar is because the cocktails aren't all that great. If you want to hang out in a lively and intimate setting, check out Casanova!

Great vibe, great drink. Personally had the bee’s knees. A little heavy on the lavender flavor but I do love lavender so it wasn’t too bad. Gin selection was solid as well and didn’t have a pine tree shoved down your throat flavor to it. Drink was a great 9.2/10

Very nicely decorated bar. Low lighting adds to the mood without being too dark. Lots of tables and booths along with a good sized bar. There's an outdoor parklet but not sure if it's shared with the other nearby businesses since we sat inside. Bartender was attentive even while it was busy and he was friendly and engaging with guests.

I ordered a basic cocktail because it was so busy over super bowl weekend. I ordered a vodka tonic, it was served warm? tonic not chilled and kinda flat. The bar can't do a good job on basic drink? Popular place. loved it in college. Bartender needs a refresher course.

This is a cool bar and very unique. Funky decor is definitely right. We hang out here often on Fridays. However, some of the bartenders are a bit rude. They love to make us wait while chatting with people who are not at all ordering or paying. That’s a good way to drive away customers.

I came to Casanova over the weekend and one of my friends accidentally left their glasses behind. I came back tonight on the 24th at 7:56 PM to help them out because they live all the way in Manteca. It is not easy for them to come back and they even told me the bar never answers the phone. When I got here tonight I asked the bartender if any glasses were turned in. He said he would check the lost and found after he served the drink he was making. I waited while he finished the drink, which took longer than it should have because he kept stopping to socialize with people at the bar. After waiting, three people walked in behind me and he went straight to them and asked what they wanted. I reminded him about the lost glasses and he told me he was helping them first because they were paying customers. That did not sit right with me because the whole reason my friend left the glasses here is because they were paying customers too. It felt like he brushed my request off and now I am worried that because I spoke up, he is going to throw the glasses away or claim they never found them, even though we know for a fact we left them on the table. Bad service tonight and not the way a regular customer should be treated.

After waiting patiently for our turn to order drinks, the bartender made a point of only serving the white male customers around us, completely ignoring my friend and me, along with every other person of color at the bar. It wasn't a mistake; it was a pattern. When he finally came back to run a tab for the people he did serve, I called him out on it. His response? He pretended he "didn't see" any of us, blaming the crowd—a crowd where the only people skipped were people of color. We refused to spend our money in such a hostile and racist environment and left immediately. It's 2024, and this kind of blatant discrimination is not only hurtful but completely inexcusable. Be aware of where you spend your money.

I come to this bar pretty often since i moved here from Utah and have had only positive experiences until today. The bouncer took my ID and my friend’s ID and claimed one of us wasn’t getting our ID’s back because of different designs even threatening to go grab the cops. After a couple minutes of back and forth just asking for our IDs back he finally gives us our ID’s back and tells us not to come back with that shit. Total incompetence and really disappointing for a spot I've shown so many friends.

For the record, I love this bar. atmosphere is 10/10 and the drinks are great. However, the bartender there on 03/07/2025 in the evening with the hat, dragon tattoo, and beard was quite rude to me when I was trying to get a drink. The bar was busy and they were serving a-lot of patrons so I tried to wave them down politely and they looked at me, rolled their eyes, and said in a condescending tone " just because you're waving your arms at me doesn't mean I'm serving you". Granted I'm a reasonable person so I was chill and didn't escalate or say anything because they were probably stressed out. But regardless I felt that they were pretty rude and gave me attitude for no good reason when I was just trying to order a drink for a myself. The other bartender with the beard and no hat was chill and gave me my drink and was overall very kind + gave great service. Other than that great bar I hope to bring my bf here someday 👍

I accidentally left my tab open at the bar, but figured I could pick it up my card today. This morning I woke up to a series of fraudulent transactions on my card in East Bay. I’m unclear if my physical card was stolen from the bartender or if it was skimmed, but it is clear that it is not secure to use your card at this establishment.

The carpet smells really disgusting in here, health hazard, consider new flooring, call renz flooring in San Rafael. I'll consider eating when this establishment decides to invest in there business. I'm not going to sit somewhere and try to eat and feel like vomiting the whole time. That padding under the carpet has got to be black and moldy

Had the worst experience here. Bouncers and other security were extremely pushy, hostile, and were on some sort of power trip the night we went. Not only did the bouncer kick us out for a simple misunderstanding but then as we were leaving a different bouncer knocked someone else out cold (this person was also leaving the establishment and not trying to get in). Overall it was a pretty aggressive place to be and the entirety of our time spent here was a regretful waste. I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews at establishments but this place was so bad that I’m willingly going out of my way to tell you not to spend your money at Casanova. There’s much better places in SF that will acknowledge your human dignity at the very least. Here? Not so much.
