Ordered a Mission hot chocolate and it was super chocolatey and spicy and sooooo good. Also got a piece of carrot cake which might be the most decadent I've ever had. Can't wait to come back!
Chocolate heaven. The place to get your chocolate craving fixed. It has a variety of milk, dark chocolate drinks both in hot / frozen (iced) Limited number of pastries available ; indoor and outdoor seatings available.
Absolutely loved my visit to Dandelion Chocolate in San Francisco! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting—perfect for a treat with friends or a relaxing solo break. The highlight has to be their European Hot Chocolate: thick, decadent, and packed with rich dark chocolate flavor, not overly sweet, and perfect for real chocolate lovers. Highly recommended for anyone who loves chocolate or wants to enjoy a special San Francisco spot!
One of my favorite little treat spots in SF! Everything here is good. Try the drinking chocolate! The staff is always friendly and kind.
Rafa is a wonderful human being, if our brief interaction is anything to go off of! Went out of their way to show me the sizes of the cups, chatted, answered my dumb question about the pastries on display… Just a glow to them. And the European drinking chocolate is great too!
Dandelion Chocolate is dangerously delicious. With a wide assortment of chocolate confections, you can explore flavors from Colombia to India. They have a factory not far where they are producing the sweets I try my best not to over enduldge in. You can also get espresso drinks. I have been getting into the Mission Mocha, which is a spicy chocolate mixture. It's pretty tasty. The staff members are friendly and if your work in the neighborhood, there's a discount. I'll continue to come here when I'm sad and need a pick me up. I love you, Dandelion Chocolate.
This one felt like a really cool spot to check out, and even though the queue was long, it was worth it. I got the oat milk chocolate milk and loved it. The space itself has that polished, modern chocolate-factory vibe — open kitchen, shiny machines, and the smell of cacao everywhere. It’s one of those places where you can tell they take the craft seriously, but it still feels warm and welcoming rather than pretentious. A great stop if you want something sweet without going overboard.
It was so good! I wasn’t extremely hungry, but I still wanted to try something. Went on Saturday evening, and there was about a 30 minute line to order. As you walk up to the counter, there are samples on the left wall that you can try and all of them tasted divine, but I did not actually have the budget to buy any of those because they were super expensive. What I was here for the baked goods. I got the chocolate chip cookie and the canele. The canale was delicious. I have never had a chocolate one before, so it was very interesting seeing how that flavour works. Also, they are extremely rare to find in bakery outside of France because it is so much work, so I was really happy to get a really well one. The real star, the show was the chocolate chip cookie. I have to compare it to levain. I honestly think this one is better. When you usually eat a chocolate chip cookie, you aren’t thinking about the quality of the chocolate, but it was stand out on this one. Like I could actually tell that the chocolate they use was extremely high-quality dark chocolate, and they were actual big chunk of chocolate that felt like you were biting into a bar of chocolate. So so good.
Delicious chocolate and homemade gourmet marshmallows. I’ve really enjoyed the cacao fruit smoothie in the past but they had sold out this most recent time I went to visit so I got the iced chocolate chai instead, which came with a tiny cookie, studded with delectable cacao nibs. The iced chocolate chai was very chocolate-forward and didn’t taste much like chai at all to me or my friend but I enjoyed it nonetheless because the dark chocolate was extremely quality dark chocolate. If you love chocolate or even just like it, go to this place and be delighted. It is pricey and you get what you pay for.
A visit to Dandelion will likely ruin most other chocolate for you. They have chocolate on offer that presents more like a coffeehouse than a traditional chocolatier, with tasting notes, single origin offerings and blends, and some extra special packages that will transport you - if you can afford them. It's also a great place to stop for a decadent brunch, if you feel like some chocolate wouldn't be remiss in your oats - or whatever you order.
I first visited the location in the Ferry building and thought to myself: "eh, not bad." But after visiting this location OMG. I am in heaven. The variety of pastries made with chocolate. The variety of DRINKS made with chocolate. A chocolate-lovers dream. My favorite drink is the European chocolate. I'm just unable to find this anywhereeeeeee. Google do your magic. Use my keywords: European chocolate. Thick, gooey hot chocolate. Recommend this spot to my fellow people. The cacao pod smoothie is super unique (doesn't taste good tho lolz). U can skip it.
This is the best hot chocolate in SF, by far! I recommend the European Hot Chocolate, thick and packed with flavor. Some tables inside, there's a counter and some outside (on Valencia) sits. Do give their dark chocolate tasting a try, you might find something that strikes your fancy! Also one of the very few cafes that stay open until relatively late.
My coworkers bought me the single origin dark chocolate truffles for my birthday. Instead of hoarding them for myself we decided to do a taste test in the office. everyone had different preferences but our favorite overall was the Maya Mountain, Belize. I had everyone taste the chocolates and guess the tasting notes before reading any of the descriptions and it was kind of surprising how accurate some of the guesses were! We had a great time and the chocolates were very high quality and delicious. Looking forward to buying some bars for future snacking.
Ordered a Frozen Hot Chocolate. This was a delicious take on hot chocolate, great for the summer weather and for those who enjoy iced coffee in winter! It’s a thick and sweet chocolate drink, the whipped cream topping is a very nice touch, made with cocoa nib. The line can get long but there is a shelf of samples to try their specialty chocolates by the side to get a taste of what else they offer. The place is generally busy with a decent amount of tables for some groups. The service was very fast and courteous. There is water and marshmallows on the side if you’d like. Great inviting place to get a treat for yourself or with a group.
It’s probably too dramatic to say this is the best sweet shop I’ve ever been in, yet I’m saying it! This is not simply a place to eat some chocolate, but an experience. As I visited San Francisco this is still one of my favorite places I found. You have opportunities to try so many chocolates from around the world, as pictured. I wish I could have tried half of the menu and their drinks, but just we got the cute sampler and it was just amazing. Every chocolate got better as we ate. The atmosphere is so cute and VERY thought out, which I really respect and appreciate. You can tell so much love was put into this place. The service was also great with the sweetest girls working, managing my excitement! You can’t be in San Francisco and skip this spot while in the Mission District!!
Best hot chocolate ever. And best frozen hot chocolate (tasty oxymoron) I've ever had. Well actually it's the only frozen hot chocolate I've ever had. But it won't be the last. Delightful little shop. That is basically an outlet of a larger chocolate factory in town. It it offers a wide range of chocolate goodies. I bought a couple of bars from Costa Rica and Uganda and was actually surprised that Ugandan and chocolate was pretty good. My Ugandan son-in-law was equally shocked. This is a cute place to go out for an after dinner date or conversation with "that special someone". They have a couple of different options for seating inside and outside. Inside they also offer tastes of a few of their selections. If you go to the counter they have a taste of pastry like options. I didn't try those but that's also where you get the hot or frozen hot chocolate. It was rich and delicious. We got one of each and debated which one was better. Good news is you're covered winter or summer. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Big smiles and lots of suggestions and explanations. Some of the seating is family style so you might end up making new friends. Interesting little destination in the mission district. Highly recommended.
Very delicious hot chocolates and decadent desserts. We tried the european style and the house special. The European style is just melted chocolate and it is super decadent, the latter is more my style. Smooth drinking and lighter. Desserts were nice. In the future I would not do hot chocolate and dessert together. I’d do either one at a time because it was just too much! 😅 Lovely spot though. They have a retail line also. I would definitely recommend.
Love this factory and environment so much! I love my mission spicy chocolate! It was so warm and fulfilling!

Very interesting tour showing how chocolate is made. Also the chocolate drinks on sale are fabulous! Must make reservations for the tour.

Well I thought the drink was alright it didn’t hav good flavor but kinda strong I have macchiato before taste so different, double chocolate cookie was good their price is kinda pricy but small portion of the drink, also the customer service doesn’t seem that friendly don’t know why they act toward me that way so just feel offended just bad experience
